It’s union station. Way-finding is a confusing mess showing the fronts of retired models of the various modes here. For added confusion, services are more often labeled by logo than what they are, so hopefully you just magically know that GO is sometimes a bus, sometimes a train, or the signs for “subway” with the subway logo are also streetcars, but not TTC busses. Both subways are “northbound”, so hope you’ve studied your terminal stations. Once they reveal the surprise new track for the go train, if you wait on the platform you can’t tap your presto card, run downstairs before it leaves. Streetcars roll forward a bit before letting you on. The airport train and go busses are in different time zones. Billy Bish airport is to the south of union, so follow the airport signs until you reach York, then signs for “airport” will point south, go north. The signs pointing south are for the airport in the north. Bizarre depressing plexiglass where the people are. Food court is shockingly good. Beautiful main level with the fun ability to point to your city name. 10/10, will be back

This is a huge, breathtaking station and very challenging to navigate through. It is the second busiest Union Station in North America after the New York station, otherwise known as Moynihan Station. There is security camera as well as few security men within the station and a police vehicle outside the station at most times. Thus, passengers have no reason to be concerned about their safety within and outside the station for the most part. The station is clean and well maintained. It serves the Go Train, Via Rail, and the UP Express train that connects passengers to Pearson International airport. UP Express leaves every 15 minutes throughout the day, between 5:30 am to 1:00 am. The ride takes about 25 minutes; from Union Station to Pearson or the other way around and it is very cheap. Passengers are advised to arrive the station 45 minutes before departure for Via Rail. You can’t stay over night at the station. It closes at 12.45 am and reopens at 5.30 am. The airport is open 24 hours.

This is an amazing service! Please look at my photos of the elegant interior of the train! The ticket sales and platform are a bit tricky to find inside Union Station but the signs for UP Express are good. Find the skywalk and you are almost there. I've included photos of the closest entrance from out side and the route there. I can't say enough about what a fantastic service this is! First, it is the fastest way to get to and from downtown and the airport! It is clean and comfortable with huge spacious seats and isles. The staff are fantastic as well. Professional and helpful. It's currently$12 one way but if you are meeting someone at airport, get the Meet and Greet pass. It's the same price as one way for the round trip but must be used within 4 hours. Finally you are dropped at terminal 3 of the airport but adjacent is the Free Link train to the other terminal (1) and to Sherdian and ALT hotels. Everyone at both ends of very helpful! So just ask if you are confused!

The station is clean. A feature of the city of Toronto. I got on the train without issues in a timely manner. It’s not always the case but most of the time it is when going from Toronto to Montreal. On the way back a whole different and disappointing story. Very annoying considering the rise on the price of tickets and the extra fees that have been added lately making budget very scarce and service remains business as always. When is good it even surprises me but when there’s a delay…. What happened to the free rides after one hour late on arrival? Even my points seem to have taken a fly to the wilderness. I can only tell the truth as Canada is a country where I feel safe about giving this kind of feedback. Unfortunately I can’t give less than one start. I acknowledge that at least every so often there was an updated departure time that allowed me to run to the store and buy four beers which I could kill time with while these hours of wait

Unbelievably unorganized. If you get off a train or you try to get to the bus station good luck trying to find the subway if you're connecting. The signs take you all over the place. You have to make sure you stop and ask someone who works there and make sure they know what they're talking about otherwise you'll be walking in circles. I live in the city and with the expansion of Union Station I get lost. Someone who works in the train station just told me tonight that it took him literally a month to figure out the map of how to get around everywhere. I was told by them the signage was for. Due to the renovations they're not removing full signs so it makes it confusing. It's not fun for those who are dragging around luggage. Sometimes it's best if you arrive via a bus or train station to exit outside and then look for the ttc entrance

One of the Cleanest, Better signage TTC Subway Station. This Union station went lots of construction last few years. In Year 2020, Station looks great. Well informed staff , lots of information on the wall display including new digital display screen , Great art work and much more information around the station. Easy access to BFPL ( Brookfield Place ) , Royal Bank Tower, Go Union Station, Spadina Streetcar Stop, Scotiabank Arena, Hockey Hall of Fame , CN Tower, and Ripley's Aquarium. Station located at 55 Front street West, Toronto. Station got four Accessible entrances. Thanks to TTC & City staff to have better subway station in the Toronto Downtown core. Please visit Union Station to have best views of TTC Subway Station.

I was living in Toronto. Then moved to Hamilton. After 15 years. Away. I'm visit the city is so much change. The people are crowd...Foods. Expensive. Rent are crazy. 16 feet by 16. $850. Per/moth. Include small counter sink. Small fridge tiny. Only good for soft drink. Bugs. Rat. Mice...U name it . Toronto apt. Have it all ..but I like the light. The views. Can't say I don't love the city. ..too bad. I'm can't afford to live there. The union station. Easy to get lost. Lucky. There are many security of the ticket go train. Make easy to find where to go . ..

I mean cmon it’s union… if you don’t know where you’re going you’ll get lost. I try not to waste any time in the station. Tap off; get food maybe, and leave. GO security makes me feel uncomfortable sometimes with the way they stare at people but ask them for directions and they’re all Lol anyways there’s food downstairs, looks like more elevators were put in for accessibility, and there are many stalls in the main bathroom. There’s other washrooms elsewhere besides the spot near McDonald’s so just look. AND hold the door for people everywhere you go.

Most confusing station in the world! There aren't proper signs for arrivals and departures. Young black lady with the attitude sent us to the wrong side for arrivals, didn't even bother reading the digital conformation that I have on the passenger I was picking up, and some west indian gentleman named Faez or something like that only gave us attitude instead of helping us out. He was acting like he was doing us a favor by helping us not cause its his job. Worst staff ever

The main train station in Toronto. We come here very often as it takes us around the city. Eaton Centre, Yorkdale Shopping Centre, the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), etc. are each reachable with the TTC and don't require transferring to a different line. This station also has streetcars for the 509 Harbourfront and 510 Spadina and connects to GO Transit for the GO Trains. The renovations are finally completed so everything looks extremely clean and well lit.

We stopped at Union Station on our way to Ripleys Aquarium. What a breathtaking transformation from what it was. The food court is beautiful and ever so busy. I will surly want to go again and explore it thoroughly. Have great memories when working downtown, rushing in the morning on way to work and again passing through in the evening on way home. A lot of security to guide you and has become a great tourist attraction! Worth a visit!

April 2018. The building is gorgeous, but they have been doing works for years now. It is difficult to enjoy it really given the ongoing works and repairs and detours... Great staff though and excellent costumer service. I haven't found real healthy options for food, but McDonald, Starbucks, and Jamba Juice and also a tiny convenience store (few wraps, one single salad sitting there lonely, lots and lots of all sorts of chips, candy bars and nuts).

Awful setup. There is only one elevator to get up to the platform. They only give you 10 minutes to get there. Unless you can shove and cut your way in, you will most likely end up missing your train at least 2 times. The customer service representatives are amazing and do their best to direct people to the platform. There needs to be a better set up to get upstairs to the platforms. Going forward it will be best to drive and pay for the parking.

A place worth stopping if your in the city. Better yet you can grab the UP from YYZ airport right to Union station in 25mins for $13 one way! Makes for a rear layover stop and your minutes walking distance from so many top tourist options. Definitely worth checking Union Station out, great piece of history and practical way to travel to downtown and avoid the parking fees. Close to many coffee shops and eatery’s. Safe travels.

While it could be better, every time i go through i see new improvements being added here all the time. Union station is a staple station required to get around not only localized in toronto, but also the greater toronto area. Recently they’ve been adding small stores and restaurants in between the train stations that have been a more than welcome addition, i’m excited to see if union will become more than just a station!

Had to travel with my dog on the Go Train and we ended up being stuck at Union station for about 25 minutes, waiting for a train to our destination. As busy as it was there, I was a little apprehensive and a little nervous about my dog with 100's of people walking past us, however alot of people that walk past wanted to pat him . P. Located in the hub of the City. Apart from busiest transit hub of the city the great hall ( Ground floor main entrance) is one if the best architecture in the city. Cathedral like ceiling and the hallway is magnificent. Must visit as a tourist attractions if u are in the city. Always cean dispite of the amount of foot traffic in the building. Well lit and safe place.

Recently renovated the station looks very historic with its Gothic architecture. However, there should be better connection between Up Express and TTC trains. The signs are very difficult to locate but there was a small kiosk of Toronto Historical Society or something similar, I forgot, with a generous person who knows the whole neighborhood; he helped me a lot.

The busiest station of Toronto. Well maintained, however during construction or renovation it gets confusing to navigate. You can take street cars, bus, go bus/train, up express, via rail and TTC subway trains. It has several food joints and shopping centres inside. It's well connected to downtown and waterfront like maple leaf square, Scotiabank arena via PATH.

i love trains, so I can't help it. but seriously despite being more expensive then the subway line 2 + bus is way more comfortable. also free WiFi. You can see the CN Tower one more time before leaving our grate city. It takes 40 min and is every 15 min. In both the train and the station you will find information boards regarding your flight.

Clean , well maintained and tidy station. It has accessible entrance to the station, parking is close by. It is a mega station where you can catch TTC train, streetcar for city travel, apart from that there are trains to Toronto Pearson airport and GO trains to other cities. You can catch buses to different cities in Ontario and USA.

Huge subway, train, bus station. Feels like a big airport. Great food and shopping options. Skywalk from Union station takes to CN tower and many other places. Lot of walking required. Well organized, clean, good signs to guide for all directions. Could be a challenge in trying to locate where to go for first time or seldom visitors.

When you arrive at the Union station, you don't think she is a railway station. Her exterior and interior design is particularly stunning and beautiful, not only that, but you can also take the bus to where you want to go. Union Station is one of the important hubs in southern Canada, connecting things to the north and south.

So quite and easy to follow directions for any bus/ train platforms. Its a big station, but Digital Bus Signage is everywhere, so you won't have to search for just 1 or 2. You can wait inside until it shows the platform number on it just before 10 minutes the bus/train arrives. I found the total setup pretty cool.

Lots of helpful workers to assist. One particular one was a woman who explained the new tap system for when you are travelling with kids, because double tapping doesn't work for 2 fairs. She was working at University subway, she was changing garbages, she had blond hair. Super relatable and friendly!

Really Great station to meet your destination. The food court is also great as it has live entertainment and it links to other parts of the PATH and ScotiaBank Arena. It’s truly amazing to see the vast amount of people that gather there and to appreciate the new renovations they made over the years.

Very confusing to navigate and perpetually under construction. This station is improving as the construction slowly progresses. Often times there are guides to help navigate travellers on the weekends but I would still come early as you may get lost a few times until you find the right terminal.

The beauty of this place is finally shining through. Renovations took care to preserve the old majesty. If your train is delayed, take a moment to observe, watch the light, and say a kind word to your neighbour waiting in line beside you. Very grateful for the effort that went into this project.

My son and I loved the UP express! We rode from Toronto International airport to Union Station and it was a smooth, quick ride! We felt safe and secure although we were traveling alone in a new country. Great experience! Highly recommend seeing this beautiful station when visiting Toronto!

Very happy with the service here, plus there's lots of seating. There was lots of construction going on when I was there unfortunately, but nothing actually impacting the station's day to day operations luckily. Just unfortunate that it doesn't look very nice because of it.

So much more than a transit hub. An architectural masterpiece so rare in our city. An incredibly convenient location for local residents, including myself, for not only commuting, but for shopping and dining. Happy to say this beautiful building is in my neighbourhood.

What can be said about Toronto's Union station? Infinitely under construction. They host transit companies that ALL over-promise and under-deliver. Mediocre shops and food options that are priced to gouge. Just lower your expectations and you'll probably be okay.

Its a place where you can get lost the first time. Ample of pathways leading to anywhere and everywhere. The “PATH” will take you to places you have to be, I personally have lost my way navigating it below. It a good way to reach offices underground in winters.

The ViA Rail Business Lounge is conveniently located on the Main floor with comfortable seats, it's well lit, washrooms are clean and has attentive staff and beverages while waiting. An announcement is made so boarding is convenient.

First time I've been to Union since they've completed the renovations and wow it's beautiful. Huge, so many places to sit and wait for your train, grab a bite to eat, and shop around. It's clean well signed and easy to get around.

The Via railway staff is considerate and kind. If you have any questions, you can inquire about whatever you want. On the train, the staff can push a dining cart to ask passengers whether getting any drinks or food each hour.

It has improved so much, and very accessible from all main areas of the city. Keep in mind rush hour times. Can be overwhelming if you are new to navigating this station. If so, find any staff member to assist you further.

A much faster way of getting to Toronto down from Etobicoke and Humber region through Weston village. Faster reliable service always too coming from Pearson airport to Toronto. A good place to visit too for sightseeing.

Love the renovations but the way-finding is still awful. When I find St. Pancras Station in London or Shinjuku Station in Tokyo easier to navigate, that’s embarrassing for Toronto.

I would not general recommend checking out a Go station, VIA station, and express train to Pearson International Airport station. However, in the case I would if you are near by.

I am tempted to say a necessary evil in the heart of Toronto but it's also very efficient. Compared to other cosmopolitan cities, it deserves 5 stars indeed.

It's a wonderful train station that connects you to all public transit options. A beautiful piece of architecture and a wonderful location to go with it!

It's big, with lots of exits and entrances and very busy. Was trying to get a bus when what I needed was a train. Finally found my way!

Like Gare Centrale in Quebec, there is a lot to do and see. However the layout is a lot more confusing compared to Montreal.

Always clean, beautiful and majestic (now that all the construction has been finished). A genuine gem of a building.

Getting familiar with the layout may take some time, but once you are familiar you can access a lot of services.

Apart from some delays, Union station is great. Always busy. Great coffee shops to smoothen the waiting.
