"Don Mills station is one of the TTC best stations across Toronto"
We were to get a day pass on Civic holiday and as we didn't take TTC ususlly, we asked this female employee, looked like one who had worked there for a long time, if it was okay to give her a $10 bill and $2.50 of change (25 dimes). Passed to the employee and she was mumbling and got the day pass date scratched roughly and said she did not do counting. Very impolite. Are 25 dimes a lot? Was it against the law? What do TTC employees do? I stared at her for her actions and words, then she started talking to me, "why are you looking at me? Why are you still looking at me? What do you want? Wow what an experience with TTC customer service! No wonder so many people says TTC employees did not have good service and are impolite! I truly experienced the authentic TTC service!
This station is connected to a large mall or the "Fairview Mall". there are several entrances to get into the station. There's a donut shop there if you are hungry but since it's connected to the mall it's not the best to eat there. The Washrooms are not the most hygienic but it's still not extremely contaminated. The staff here are very helpful or the people who give out tickets, metro passes etc. As for WiFi signal. I attempted to connect it but it said "Connect for 1 hour" so stay keen on that. As for the trains you have to wait about 3-8 minutes at Max. Overall this station is what you get at your average train station for the TTC. it's not that special but it's just the average.
This station is relatively new (by TTC standards) and is most of the time kept clean! If you go underground, theres a donut shop, where you can buy... DONUTS! This station is also the terminus Of Line 4 Sheppard, which connects to Line 1 Yonge-University. Also, the station is grossly overbuilt, but I guess it will be useful in the future as the population of the area continues to grow. One of the better TTC stations. Also, the subway is every 5 minutes compared to every 2 minutes on Line 1, and 2, so plan accordingly! There also would have been a Don Mills LRT if it wasn't for Rob Ford, so you can blame him for your overcrowded bus.
I recently had a chance to visit Don Mills Station and these are my thoughts. It is located in a very convenient location (Don Mills/Sheppard). The bus platform is very spacious and has connections to both TTC & YRT bus routes. The station is the terminal of the Line 4 Sheppard Subway. There is also a very convenient connection to Fairview Mall from the station. The station has washrooms on the concourse level & elevators. Bus routes from this station connect to places like the Zoo so therefore this station is located in a great place with amazing connections.
Don Mills station is one of the TTC best stations across Toronto. It's clean and the staff are friendly and professional. I have been using this station for over 3 years now and I never had any problems. The only down side is that this station has three stairs (3 levels) from one entrance and 2 stairs (2 levels) from the other. I mean I personally don't mind the stairs ,but there are some people who do. Plus, TTC employees/guards should keep patrolling the station because I found solicitors couple of times.
Don Mills is a transit center where the Sheppard Line ends and busses take passengers further from reliable transit. Don Mills is not at all organized for passengers to find busses. I walked along the platform for at least 5 minutes and could not find my bus or a bus station map. The TTC needs to make the service we are paying for with lots of taxes and fairs more user friendly. But honestly, drivers and TTC management don't seem to care in the slightest.
Would TTC consider starting subway service at 8 a.m. for the public who have to be at work by 9 a.m. on Sundays. Your bus service is totally unreliable especially on snowy days. Your bus drivers on route 39 and 199 were inflexible with passenger pick up spots at the bus stop when they could clearly see that I was trying to run on the snow covered ground to catch the bus. I was bypassed by both buses and ended up waiting for the next bus in the cold.
Absolutely awful service. I’m new to commuting around this area and the operator at the ticket station is a cranky, miserable fellow. He yelled at me for asking for directions and his tone was aggressive to the point where I felt unsafe. An employee like him should be be fired. If anyone is reading this, the incident took place on July 24 at approximately 6:10PM. Please fire the guy as he will definitely cause more people to complain in the future.
Large and clean station that is the first/last stop on the number 4 line (Sheppard). It is connected to Fairview Mall. There are some floors in the parking garage for TTC commuting. Trains are pretty frequent. There are several bus connections at this station. There is no direct entrance into the mall. The closest mall entrance was under construction. After exiting the station, I had to walk around the mall to find another entrance.
Good place to drop people off, but not enough parking spaces for the cars to move. The space for circling and dropping people off is very confusing, especially the entrance and exit as they have bad signage but also weird road blocks, confusing even regular drivers. The design of the area needs to be improved and to make dropping off better and the flow of traffic moving.
Toronto Transit Control TTC Subway Line 4 Terminal Subway Station at Don Mills and Sheppard. Don Mills station Line 4 connected to Sheppard Station Line 1. From this station to easy access to CF Fairview Mall and Condominiums. Dozens TTC buses running East, North, South and West of City. Also Viva buses too. Station got Washroom and Doughnut shop & Newsstand.
Architecturally, it's a pretty well designed station and held up pretty good for it's time, but now it's becoming less accessible with heavy traffic. Trains run relatively consistently, though the bus service can be improved; I think it would make more sense to run more 169s rather than 10s. Pretty solid station, but may need a rework sometime down the line
Due to the increased bus traffic along Sheppard East, this huge pot hole has formed in the westbound middle lane at Parkway Forest Drive. Avoid at all costs. The traffic lights are not pedestrian friendly & and a lot of J walking occurs here.
My go to TTC Station. Clean, trains are frequent and on schedule with no delays. The other commuters mind their own business and never cause a disturbance. If you are using the TTC between 10am-10pm, there is plenty of available free parking.
connects When newcomers to Canada please go to subway station office to get all information. TTC staff are so helpful and knowledgeable they will guide the entire process how to start a trip in Subway by using Presto Card. One of the Good
Bus station needs improvement. Many blank signages. Need signs to indicate which and where each bus number is going to stop. 169 Bus stop is in an awkward spot. Very hard to find. You have to walk around the station to find it.
Only one escalator and to go out of the station, we jus have to rely on elevator or take around 100 stairs.. that's so pathetic after a tiring office day. hope we get a renovated station as the crowd is increasing day by day.
Got here coz I wanted to go to Fairview Mall... Oh hey it's somewhat attached to it... just like how the Line 1 Yorkdale station is linked to the mall. I like the Line4.... perhaps because it's newer :)
The buses were extremely unreliable, often arriving late or not at all. Additionally, there was a pervasive and unpleasant odor of strong smoke on board, making the journey uncomfortable and unhealthy.
I wanted to try something new. Nope. The person on the lower level sealed the deal. He wasn't helpful and neither were any other employees. Ugh. I had to pay for an uber to get where I wanted to be.
I feel this is the only subway station that is not so crowded even during peak hours. Have been commuting for sometime now, never had trouble as far as service is concerned. Thumbs up :-)
Good trains usually on time. This is probably the best line due to the fact that they only need to operate 5 stations which means no delays and etc. The line 1 and 2 on the other hand.
Lots of commuter parking in the covered mall levels P4 and P5 before 9am. End of the line station, so no worrying about which train to catch- they both go the same direction.
The waiting chair for bus 25 northbound inside don mills there is a very bad stain of blood or some kind dirt its been there for 3 weeks already still there. Nobody clean.
Good place to connect to line 1 and line 4 and the buses to pape and steels and Scarborough is available here..close to Fairview Mall..and groceries.
Nice place. Both TTC and subway are accessible. WiFi, wheelchair accessibility, public washroom-> available. One can charge their Presto card here
Хорошая , чистай, популярная Ⓜ️ Дон Милс Станция метро . Атмосфера дружелюбная, общительная. Поезда ходят по расписанию, вовремя. …
Typical subway station. Not the cleanest, does not offer direct mall access (though very close), but good enough for a subway station
Clean station hats off to that but need to be considerate about bus services. Very late and usually not in service buses lines up
很不错的四号地铁终点站,管理很好,井井有条,卫生状况良好,我们喜欢! Very good subway terminal 4, well managed, well organized, good health, we like it!
Good wifi signal. Friendly collectors and other staff. Clean and well maintained. Train almost on time everytime
Great subway station but the donut shop/convenience store place is really expensive and the workers are rude.
This is an excellent subway station. The Fairview mall above this subway was really awesome.
The patties here are kinda meh. Better than a Warden patty but not as good as a Finch patty.
Station in the worst public transport system with horrible navigation around the station
The station is always clean Can be very very busy at rush hours Monday to Friday
Filled with hood rat gang members that just loom in the station with no purpose
Trains are good. They are generally on-time, as opposed to the Yonge line.
I can't buy single ticket with credit card from the ticket machine..
Your regular not as busy as any stations in downtown subway station
It's a subway station so they have underground trains I guess.
unreliable bus, sometimes early but most of the time delay.
Great station, although I do miss the variety of busses.
Terrible terrible service.....0 stars if i could!
I hate this line like you would not believe.
Easy to access all services are available
Nice station to get a bus or a train.
Never delayed or late. Trains clean.
Ok, but needs a little renovation
World's worst transit system TTC
Great access to Fairview Mall.
Bus schedule is terrible
