"previously a 5 star review now i couldn’t recommend this to anyone"
"Great place to park"
"This is a really great place as far as car parks go and love the smell of the tar in summer, liked it so much that we did a lap of honour or because the exit has changed"
"I love this car park for late night parking on this side of the city"
"Very busy on a Saturday afternoon, I had to wait a while for spaces"
previously a 5 star review now i couldn’t recommend this to anyone. the councils change in rates means there’s no point in parking here anymore. john lewis carpark is much more convenient and feels a lot safer especially at night. it’s a shame that more public infrastructure is going to suffer because of poor leadership in the council
Great place to park. It's situated in a good location for a short walk to most of the museums that are on offer in the city centre. Also good amount of disabled parking. Which is free for blue badge holders. I also noticed that there are electric parking bays with chargers so it's good for electric cars too
This is a really great place as far as car parks go and love the smell of the tar in summer, liked it so much that we did a lap of honour or because the exit has changed. The way I used to access it is now a no entry, will try to find an alternative way in or an alternative car park.
I love this car park for late night parking on this side of the city. £2 All night if parking after 5pm. Well lit and seems fairly safe I've parked here on my own many times and walked into town. Machines can sometimes be a bit glitchy but I've normally managed to get them working.
Very busy on a Saturday afternoon, I had to wait a while for spaces. £2 for an hour, then £4 for another 2 hours. About a 10 minute walk to city centre/shops. There are a few disabled spaces, a few electric charging bays, and a spot for motorcycles.
Good if you are only staying for a short while but too expensive otherwise. I had only previously used it for a short stay before lockdown, when I saw at the machine how much a day would cost; I got back in my car and drove straight out
Very full, difficult to find spaces, Parking attendant keen to put yellow PCN on windscreen for overstay. Was only £1 for Sunday, but hourly charge introduced, and unknowingly caught me out with a hefty £50 fine! Avoid this car park.
Very convenient car park for the little theatre,Dover Castle and heading into town. But be aware the prices have increased quite alot. And the parking attendants are as keen as mustard. Often parked up in the actual car park.
What a rip off at Dover Street Car Park Leicester. From £1 for all day on a Sunday it has now increased tariffs to midweek rates. Very greedy move by Leicester City Council and not good for retailers or customers !!
This is a great place to park if you need to head into the city centre. It's close and appropriately priced. However, it was a bit to open and I felt a bit vulnerable leaving my car here (I'm not a local).
Reasonable priced in the city centre. Near to the Little Theatre. Flat parking. Gets full quickly. Pay and display. Its not bad not heard of many breaks ins to cars like in the Rutland St car park.
Good sized open air car park - still places available around 9.30 this morning - had to go up to the next band as needed 7hrs so paid £10. Seems comparable to most other big city centre car parks
Total disgrace Leicester City Council! Get your act together and make parking user friendly. Arrived, like many other people, early for the theatre and stood in the rain, in
The 3 only pay machines weren't working. Managed to pay with the help of a police officer. When to get my car and, and car parked on the rear of mine, too close, took me
Safe car parking, their is an app you can download for quicker payment, or a pay machine on the ground floor. It's right in the city centre so it's a brilliant location.
I was nervous about parking here as there was a car just sat there for some time with its lights on full. I gambled and all was ok, I needn’t have been concerned
Most easiest car park in Leicester! And perfect location for shopping and eating! It would be great if they could make it bigger though so we had more space!
Great, IF you're lucky enough to find a space. Feels secure and you often see staff patrolling too. Reasonably priced. Pay by cash, phone or contactless.
Quite expensive but very safe and convenient car park. I have “Pay by phone” app, so it’s quick and easy to pay from my mobile phone.
Nice little ground level carpark in the town centre. Prices have gone up by a couple of £ recently, which I'm not happy with!
Takes a few mins to register if using your phone to pay but very simple and straight forward with a 20p service charge added.
Often used Dover Street Car Park for Sunday shopping and evening parking for the Y Theatre & Little Theatre.
Nice car park. Shame there were people drug dealing at the top end. But the car park is convenient.
A good area to park, with security cameras. We'll lit and a good position to walk into town centre.
Got there at 8pm couldn't buy a ticket that went past 6am even though advertised as 24hr parking.
Very short walk away from the train station, and 5 min walk from the city centre
Excellent location walkable distance to the main shops and restaurants …
Used to be my go to place for parking but they increased the rate :(
Not many disabled parking spaces. Entrance and exit could be better.
