Eadha Bread is a lovely bakery. It opened in early 2018 and has quite a number of sourdough bread products. The bread is flavorful, hearty and chewy (and delicious!). My favorite types are the regularly sourdough and tahini variety. Eadha even makes cinnamon buns made with sourdough – denser and chewier than what most people are used to but still really good. They have promotions every month or so, and as such, it is worth checking out their Instagram page to monitor what special events are coming up. A couple of months ago, they had a promotional item where they made some sourdough pastry with scrambled eggs and other ingredients and it was amazing.

This place is my favorite bakery! The sweet treats are so delicious and the savories are incredible as well. It's so hard to pick a favorite item, but the coffee cake and cinnamon twists are incredible. They have a pre-paid food voucher program and I recommend contributing toward that when you can. A few dollars goes a long way for providing the community with delicious and filling food - and you don't even have to be there to contribute, they accept etransfers as well! I believe you can also pre-order some baked goods for delivery on their website. I work nearby, and am looking forward to stopping in more often when I'm back at the office!

Bought the Olive Sourdough today at Eadha and popped it into the oven to warm up. I bought some Portuguese Sardines in olive oil at NINHO Portuguese Store at 934 Sherbrook and decided to put them on top of the sliced sourdough. Added lemon juice to the olive oil in the sardine can and drizzled over the open faced sandwich - topped with a little diced onion, salt and fresh ground pepper. Result was absolutely outstanding but the clear star of the show was the Sourdough - beautiful crunch to the crust . Job very well done Eadha !

I’ve been following Eadha bread on Instagram for a long time and love how they operate but I’ve so far only been able to try their offerings at black market provisions. I’m usually obsessed with their scones but I had a grapefruit one today that was so amazing I had to leave a review. After the very first bite I immediately regretted only buying one. Hopefully I will be able to get my hands on another soon and I will definitely be purchasing more than 1! Keep up the amazing work!

I really liked the pizza here, and even better was the fact that it came out piping hot. What wasn't so good was that it came out on a paper plate, which wasn't very ideal for holding hot food, and for taking away it was just a paper bag. Great for being nice to the planet, not so great for practicality. They also don't have any meat pizzas, which is typically a dealbreaker for me, but man, the sourdough pizzas are great. I highly recommend giving them a go.

Hands down the BEST cinnamon buns in Winnipeg! The pastries are amazing, the bread even better! The staff is so friendly and warm! If you have a chance to take the workshop with Cora, I'd HIGHLY recommend! Cora is so knowledgeable and giving of her time and expertise! She made us all feel like we'd be successful at baking our own bread at home and never made me feel silly for my millions of questions! This place is the best! Go now and go often!!

When I feel sad all I have to do think about eating some Eadha bread, the thought alone makes me very happy. If you enjoy bread, and I mean real mouthwatering fermented yeast bread, not the Wondercrap that makes you gluten intolerant, then you should come to Eadha and pick up a loaf or 5, or join their bread-share program because you will never want to eat any other bread again.

  • Chantel Reles

Delicious food! There's nothing like fresh baked sourdough bread. Eadha Bread is making everything right before your eyes, you really feel immersed in the process. It is even better to know that this is a small business helping their community. It's great to see. Fun fact: you can purchase some of their starter if you want to try making your very own loaf at home!

  • Beulah Yu

I’ve been there for many times but I tried The smoke tofu sandwich first time and it is so great, definitely fit on the hot summer season. Poppyseeds and lemon cake is one of my favorite items there. Also the vegan cookies and butter cookies(especially double chocolate with rosemary sea salt) are amazing!

  • Taomi Doupe

Their pastries are magnificent and just everything they do. I first tried their sourdough bread a month or so ago and it was the best sourdough that I ever had - and I bought a day old loaf! Amazingly moist and soft, with a fantastic crust. I've tried things from them since then and it's just magnificent.

  • Avery Wolfe

Never been disappointed here. The best cinnamon buns and scones I’ve ever had, incredibly friendly staff and atmosphere and unbeatable prices.

Picked up some cinnamon buns to add to our brunch, and I had to exercise restraint of not buying each loaf of bread. Smelled great and I will be back. Probably my favorite cinnamon buns in the city due to sourdough bread. Also picked up the vegan chocolate cake.

  • Jack Martin

Incredible sourdough. They have a program you can donate to their food for all program and anyone can go in get something to eat and drink completely free. They are also a workers co.op. everyone working at the bakery is genuinely happy This is my go to bakery.

  • Leah Share

Friendly, helpful, and community-supporting bakery - their “pay it forward” program is inspiring! AND the baked goods are Delicious AND Fun twists on long-time bakery favourites Plus a wide variety of vegan versions of Many of the yummy items they make!

  • Lasha Glennie

Small space - fantastic baking! My favourite is the sourdough twists. I usually get one savoury and one sweet. If you have to drive there is always space on the street right outside of the front door! One of my two favourite bakeries in the city.

  • Mark Chiang

I was passing through Winnipeg and a friend told me to stop here. Best decision. I spent the rest of the day thinking about that cinnamon bun and cheese twist. Incredibly well spiced and seasoned. I will stop by here every time I’m in town.

  • Jacqueline Kennedy

I absolutely adore this bakery. The best sourdough in the city, but not only that, the people who own and operate it are kind and inclusive. Not only is it a queer safe environment, they treat EVERYONE with dignity and respect, regardless

  • Danielle Rand

Absolutely love Eadha Bread. Their food is fantastic and so is their love for the community. Start with a savory pie and finish with a strawberry glazed bun. Then, leave a couple bucks for community members to enjoy a treat as well.

  • Vinutha Elangovan

Love Eadha Bread... They specialize in sourdough breads,Hand Pies and Treats. I tried 100% whole wheat sourdough bread, Vegan mushroom pies and my most favorite amazingly moist Vegan Chocolate Brownie. #supportlocal #Loveeadha.

Great fresh bread. I would genuinely give more stars if I could. Inclusive space and staff who are very friendly! Shirt or no shirt service to everyone no questions asked and LGBTQIA+ owned as a co-op. Very much reccomended.

  • francine martin

Not only do they have a variety of baked goods to fill your belly with goodness, but Eadha is constantly finding ways to make the community a safer, healthier place for all. They are a valued addition to the neighbourhood.

  • Gizzle Gar

Tasty bread. I love the strawberry scone. Very nice. It's all fermented so it's good. And a huge plus is that if you eat enough fermented food you can ferment yourself so.... You know... That's a plus.

  • JeansWithPockets

Excellent stuff! I had the pizza twist, lemon cake, and a dayold sesame sourdough loaf. All amazing. In spite of not having huge loaves of bread, this place is an easy 5. Come here Come here Come here

I’m not a bread person but after trying their cinnamon raisin bread I have been having a slice or more daily. Coffee Cake is good as well. They are at the Downtown Farmers Market on Thursdays.

  • Maru Garnet

Wowza! Always a treat to get a loaf of bread here! Friendly staff, ethical practices, good smells, and and tasty extras like twists, buns and espresso drinks. This sourdough is the real deal!

  • G M.

Delicious sourdough. Pastries are okay, they are dense and not fluffy, but still pretty good lemon poppyseed loaves. I would go here for the bread since that is what they specialise in~

  • Deb Kelly
