"I love this little book stop"
"I consider a library a place that is quiet where you can concentrate on whatever work you are doing, or whatever you happen to be reading"
"I went in last week with my 5 yo son"
"If you're looking for a quiet place to study"
"This library is not an ideal place to read or study, it's like a play area, in one corner children are playing video game and they are too loud and the librarian did not do anything at all, and onething more,i go almost everyday in this library and i noticed that the staff are selecting whom to say "hello or hi!" They only greet those people they like"
I love this little book stop. The staff are always extremely friendly and helpful - I'm certain I've got a warm "hello!" Or other greeting every time I've entered here. Even on the phone the staff are helpful when asking about their study spaces. My holds are always exactly where they should be so I can be in and out in less than 30 seconds if I so wish. Be aware this is more of a collection point for books on hold than it is a full library - if you don't already, get the EPL app so you can put them on hold as you go!
I consider a library a place that is quiet where you can concentrate on whatever work you are doing, or whatever you happen to be reading. This place is so small that no matter where you go there is always tonnes of noise. I'll admit the people are friendly, but they talk a lot and can't keep quiet. I feel they are more meant to work at a coffee shop where you can be all chatty then a library. They get two stars due to friendliness, but your far better off to drive an extra 3 km's and go the Callingwood library.
I went in last week with my 5 yo son. I was masked up, he was not because he has a medical condition that allows his exemption. We don't usually have a problem, however this time when my son went to the counter to request a book the employee did not acknowledge him and asked me if he was over 2 yo - which he obviously is. He does not have a hearing deficiency and he began to question why this person thought he was 2. This is supposed to be a safe place for everyone, yet my son was not treated with respect.
If you're looking for a quiet place to study. DON'T come here. The staff is friendly, but they continuously talk to eachother and you can hear them talking to people at the front desk. Which i get is part of their job but its distracting because the place is very tiny so you can hear them no matter where you are. The children's area is close and they're noisy and there was literally a guy walking around talking on his phone -on speaker- while I was there. I will never come here to try to study again.
This library is not an ideal place to read or study, it's like a play area, in one corner children are playing video game and they are too loud and the librarian did not do anything at all, and onething more,i go almost everyday in this library and i noticed that the staff are selecting whom to say "hello or hi!" I Agree, it's not an Ideal place to sit and study. It is what it is. We, as a family have not had any issues with either finding what we are looking for, or having it ordered. Very friendly and helpful staff. We go there to sign out and bring home books. i believe there are neighboring coffee shops in the area as well, to sit and study. Sometimes you just have to be resourceful. :)
This library is pretty much just a place to pick up your holds. It is extremely tiny and doesn't hold very much selection. I guess there are a few books, so it's still a library. The staff are very helpful and friendly though. Looking forward to the larger library when the Lewis Estates Recreation Centre opens in a few years.
From my experience it's a pretty great place. I go there quite often and the staff are always friendly. It does get pretty busy around 5 pm. Their selection is ok but it would definitely be better to pick up holds from. There's a play area for kids and an Xbox One. The place is small but cozy and I always feel welcome.
Needed a printout of a lease and went to a library for the first time in like 14 years lol. Was lost for a bit but the staff was not only smart, friendly and helpful but a Q-T-Pi as well... lol... Seriously though, great staff and even though very tiny a nice place to get computer work done in quiet and clean area...
this joint sucks, its so small you have nowhere to sit!!! You want a specific book? Well they dont have it!!! They have all of 2 books!! The other shleves are empty and take up all the space where we could be sitting!!!! - my friend paris callingwood for the win
Today I went there for the first time with my family. Wow very nice staffs. Very Small building and collections but surprisingly I found what I needed most. Love it. They are realy more than their buildings.
.. called in to offer to donate and drop off several boxes of 'one time read' paper backs and was told "no" it would be a 'storage issue' for them?!' ...the library that doesn't except donations? hrrrumph
Showed up on Thursday, July 2 at 7:30pm to pick up a hold, but the branch was already closed, even though there was a big sign on the window that indicated that it was open until 9:00pm.
Its a day care for toddlers rather than a Library, my experience this place is not recommended for those who want to study in a quiet and peaceful place.
Nice and responsible staffs. Quiet place to get the behind things done, planning, thinking etc while your kid(s) is/are busy with books and tablet. :)
Isn't library suppose to be the place where you study in a Quite area? Apparently not this location... but everything else it's a good place to visit.
معاملة ممتازة و راقية جدا من العاملين في المكتبة و خصوصا الانسة المسؤلة. اسلوبها ممتاز جدا .اتمنى لها التوفيق و للجميع. شكرا

Its decent for the size!! Would love to see something bigger in the future!!
Good selection not too busy . Easily located near a major transit terminal
Don't go there for printing. It took the computer forever to reboot
