Giving this 5 stars to help raise their score. I don’t get why it’s so low! For years I’ve gone to El Dorado Bakery on Broadway for the menudo, so naturally seeing the much lower score of El Dorado #3, I was very hesitant to try it. However, The Broadway location is a 20 minute drive and the one on Coors is only 5 minutes! And when you’re hung over, the shorter drive is better! I tried their menudo and flautas today, and both get a 4.5 out of 5 in my book! This has been the only place that does flautas right and even has a potato option! Their salsa was the best I’ve had in town! It def tasted like Chile de árbol and red tomato flavor without the usual tomato paste flavor that other salsas in ABQ tend to have. The menudo could be spicier for me but the flavor def made up for the lack of spice. Excited to go back and try out the rest of the menu. My order was to go so don’t expect the cute yellow bowl in my pic Also, there was a woman singing Yolanda Del Rio covers so that’s a win win win for me! Oh and yes, the bread was bomb. Come on now. EDIT: To address the customer service issues from previous reviews...service when I went was super fast. The lady that was singing only sang 1.5 songs while I was there and BOOM, my order was up! The music was way too loud and I had to shout my order to the cashier..but I would still go back lol. Hoping they read this and lower the volume on the speaker. Also, the restaurant was super full and I still got my order in under 10 minutes.

EDIT* I came back and brought my daughters before church. I bought them each a sweet bread. The lady at the front charged me an extra 50%. I asked why and she said it was taxes. At this point I thought she gave herself a tip so I said no. She calls the manager. He says it's not taxes but a charge for using a credit card. I asked where it's noted that if I use a credit card they will charge me extra money. He says he can't post it but he'll give me a refund. I told him they're thieves and I'll update my review. (Now I know why people break your windows. I don't feel bad after all) *Original review was 3 stars and the following: I feel bad for the owners. Someone hit their front window and they had to repair it out of pocket. Anyway on to the review. Huge chocolate donuts. That's a 5 star on taste and size. But the bollilos are so expensive! Over a buck per roll? So in 2 donuts and a roll it was almost 4 bucks in. That's a bit steep for a panaderia. I looked at the menu but with everything $12 and up I passed. I'm not sure if I'd go back but i might bring my girls sometime. ** son ratereros y lo quieren justificar. :(
Ordered through post mates. 3 of the 3 choice plates. Plate 1: Sweet and sour chicken but they sent no sauces, so it was just dry chicken. Same plate ordered noodles but got rice, ordered egg rolls but got spring rolls. No sauce of any kind for the spring rolls. Plate 2: Sweet and sour chicken again just chicken no sauce. Instead of orange chicken got a double scoop of sesame chicken. Spring rolls instead of egg rolls and no sauce. Plate 3: got chicken broccoli instead of beef broccoli, spring rolls instead of egg rolls, no sauce given and last but not least we asked for chopsticks and were handed 3 forks and 6 napkins. YOU CANT CALL TO COMPLAIN...it goes to a voicemail that’s not set up.
They delivered here a couple of months ago. We called tonight to double check and a woman said they would deliver. We told them we'd call back to put in our order. We called back 2 minutes later and a guy answered and said they do not deliver to this area, put us on hold and hung up on us. We asked to speak to the woman who then said she remembered us and then he took over the phone and said they didn't deliver. Every time we are waiting on our food there we have to wait extra time for the delivery boy to return and hop to the kitchen. I HIGHLY recommend ANYONE ELSE.
My husband brought home some take-out from this place and it was the worst Chinese food we've ever eaten. Very greasy and bland in flavor. Thought maybe he just made the wrong selections from their menu so I decided to give it another chance. Few weeks later I went to see their entire selection of foods, and I couldn't believe it. Didn't stay long because I immediately walked out without buying. Everything was bright orange! Even the noodles. You couldn't tell one dish from another. They all looked the same and nothing looked appetizing.
Wonderful experience great food, wonderful friendly staff, and reasonable prices. Very busy and I can tell why. Great staff. Menudo is excellent. The best coffee around and free refills. I have tried to have Menudo at several other places and couldn't past the odor..but this was exceptional. The owner Mr. El Dorado works and watches closely over his pastries. The refried beans are the best I have ever had. IT IS AN EXPERIENCE THAT ONE SHOULDN'T MISS.
I enjoy a good bowl of menudo… so, I decided to try it here at the restaurant. Once I was served, and the bowl was placed in front of me, I noticed it smelled very pungent and noticed a layer of grease floating on the top. I attempted to eat it, but just didn’t smell so great. I’m not sure if I was served a bad batch, but definitely would not recommend. We also ordered the sopes which were good and would recommend- that I would give 3 stars.
Used to be pretty decent food for an amazing value. A couple weeks ago, something changed. No beef in the beef dishes, no chicken in the chicken dishes. Since the "chicken and mushroom" had no chicken in it, my girlfriend asked if she could sample something else. "No, we dont do samples". With the toothpick dispenser on the counter. And me holding a toothpick. Not sure what happened, but a pretty great place has been ruined. Dont go.
I was surprised they have a seating restaurant inside, I thought they were just a regular bakery, but I wish I knew I could get there earlier, next time I’ll try their food, but let me tell you their bread was pretty good, I usually I’m not to into sweet bread but this one was delicious, what it got me was that still was warm and fresh. For sure I’m coming back to try more thing there. oh and the waiters were so attentive.
The first time we went there the meals were better than what we make at home. Everything was to perfection. Second time we go. Everything of my order got mixed up. I asked for gorditas with three different feelings. They put the exact same thing on every one of them. We asked for a milanesa and we got just a plane. Carne asada torta I guess it all goes down to employees. They're all tired of working
They give you a lot for what you pay for. The quality is as good as the price you pay. I highly recommend dont go in the morning the food is stale & old and it old somethings. As for the service, you should watch out for extra charges. For example, when ever they ask you if you want this or that make sure that it either goes with it or how much is it. Be careful of over charge.
This place is much like Ho Ho's. Same simple format. You get a lot of food for super cheap. It's decent chinese food, about the standard for this price. I've eaten here about 4 times and last time I got food poisoning. Other than that I've always had a friendly experience here and it's not like I am coming here expecting gourmet food.
The corn gorditas are amazing, just the way my mom used to make them, the doughnuts, menudo, caldo de res.. I can go on and on.

Worst experience ever. I never do a review but this place is the worst. The food was alright but we waited so long for the food. Ordering menudo which shouldn’t take long . It was a slow day even the cashiers were just sitting around. Never coming again and I recommend you not to as well.
The orange chicken tasted like it had soap in it. The rest was pretty bland tasting, but they do give you a lot of food. However even though I love having a Chinese place on the next block from me. I won't be returning for another meal. The poor taste just isn't worth spending money on.
You get a ton of food for cheap, but meats are very sub par, (bad cuts of chicken; mostly breading; sometimes you find a bone) but is almost expected for how much you get and how little you pay. I love this place usually but sometimes I have to hate it when half my meat is garbage.
GREAT PRICE, EXCELLENT PORTIONS!! That being said, Ive had better chinese take away, but Ive also had WORST!! The place had a consistant flow of customers who seemed to be regulars...so they have to be doing something right there!! Keep on doing what you're doing!!
The only good thing about this place, unfortunately, is the price $6.95 for 3 item combo. The food tastes stale & old, like its been sitting all day under heat lamp. I was really looking forward to a good meal. The service was great just not the food. Big bummer!
Absolutely great service and amazing food!

There food is amazing my sometimes to hard. They pack your food and i love it. For a small hungry stomach, it lasts me for 2 days! I love that. Its only 8 dollars for a tray! Their sodas are bigger.
I ordered take out and the menudo was salty. The menudo would have been great except for the saltiness. We can always add salt but, not take it away. I did buy 10 buns and they were great!
I don’t understand how this place has a less than 5 star rating. It’s delicious, there’s a large variety to order from, it’s clean and the service is great. Best menudo and fresh pan!
OMG THIS BAKERY HAS THE BEST MEXICAN BREAD BUT ITS NOT JUST A BAKERY, IT HAS A FULL MENU RESTAURANT!! THE FOOD IS THE MOST ORIGINAL MEXICAN STYLE FOOD IN ABQ ITS #1 SO FAR ❣️
This place never disappoints and is the best Mexican bakery in Albuquerque we have come across. We come pretty much every Saturday for pasteries and they are always fresh
Best menudo in Albuquerque I drive 20 min to get the best menudo in town. The bread OMG love it. Hope they open one at east side At least eubank and Lomas.
Amazing food. Actually an updated review, this is a weekly stop and the place is always busy. Burritos and tacos are on point. Love the freshly baked items.
First time here. The good was authentic and yummy. Potato flautist are hard to find. Large portions for the price. Definitely will go back again.
Best Panaderia Bakery in abq in my opinion. I absolutely love the pumpkin empanadas best ever! On a mission to try one of each in the display
Soo good... Great food. Great service!
