I went to this place a good number of times and I keep getting disappointed I keep giving this place a chance but it's always something. They are on TV and got famous ever since Guy Fiery but it's not good in my opinion. They never have everything! I went to buy conchas and they didn't have any; they didn't have much. I was so upset I should of called first. The guy that served me gave me 3 free cookies but they were stale and not fresh. So I find that an insult to my tasting made me feel hella poor and uncomfortable. I was happy at first then when I tried the cookies I said no wonder he gave them for free because to me free their stale and nasty not fresh! I'm a baker so I felt so mad and unsatisfied. They are overrated. If you want some fresh conchas go to El Mesquite they have fresh conchas for a great price. Also I've ordered their sandwiches oh no no no I didn't not like them their deli meats are not quality and they charge you like it is. If you want a good sandwich go to Sprouts or Whole food it's $8 dollars for a good quality sandwich that's made to order This is just my opinion so don't get discouraged maybe your experience will be better than mines.
I was really hoping this place would be a nave place to visit occasionally. I was excited for the pizza I ordered and empanada and bread. The bread was warmed up and at first I though it was warm and fresh. When I was driving I grabbed it again and felt the end and it crumbled in my hands. Fresh bread doesn’t crumble. The only star I give them was for the fresh tea I ordered. Also the pizza was cold and barely warm. Never coming here again. Disappointing Update: I live 12mins away from your business. I did not wait 45mins to pick up. Your company did not notify Grubhub about the order being complete so we called. Rather than apologizing and making things right you come off threatening. I’ve never had a problem with Grubhub and most companies are nice and wanna make things right. I would never recommend anyone to go to your company and I feel I wasted gas, money and time at your place.
Owner was very rude to me today, and refused to sell me a sandwich with no meat stating it was sub-par and not what he trained his people to do. I just bought one there 2 days ago, came back for 1 to go on my flight back home in the morning, and that is what I was met with. I asked if I could pay for a sandwich with meat and them hold it off and he said no. So, I chose not to buy the other things I ordered and left. The counter lady was super nice, and apologized, but I will never be back. Luckily this is the only unpleasant experience in the week I've been here! The owner is very condescending and doesn't care about customer service. Oh well!!
I love the story behind this place. They were featured on Food Network Diners Drive-Inns and Dives and New Mexico True TV. The food here was delicious! I had a ham and cheese with chips and queso. The green Chile bread compliments the vegetables and meat in the sandwich very well. They even have a Biscochito vending machine that sits out front if you want a fast and easy alternative to buying the famous cookie. I would love to give this place a 5 stars but the staff needs to be trained better. We waited over 30 minutes for our sandwich, and by the time we received them, we got the wrong bread. Overall, I would highly recommend.
I visited when it was 102⁰ out. Despite being a bakery, the interior was refreshingly cool. Outside shade structures and misters in the garden kept me from melting. Biscochitos, empanadas, and a delicious variety of teas (I got a GIANT iced tea) are the highlights to me. A local treasure, they go through a high volume of sales quickly and have implemented some interesting tech-enabled ordering processes that take a minute for a newcomer to figure out...but it's worth it. I will be back for more baked goods and specialty pantry items they sell as soon as I can.
I had a very good experience here. The building is awesome, the decor is perfect for their personality, and the people are very nice. I have to agree with one of the other reviewers, it's a little pricey. The bakery items were very good, I had their Green Chili bread, and a pepperoni twist. The bread couldn't have been better, I may go back for some more. You could taste the green chilies, and it had a slight amount of heat. The twist was flaky and full of flavor. The lost a star with the pizza. For me the crust was too dense and didn't have the right flavor.
We enjoyed sitting on the outdoor patio and eating amazing pizza and pastries. The quaint neighborhood establishment was definitely a great find. We'll be back!

Loved the authentic New Mexican bakery experience. This place is owned by a local and has the best suggestions and knowledge when it comes to the local cuisine. The biscochitos and green chile bread are so fresh and delicious that they sell out soon. We also tried their pizza with green chile crust and it was so good! The outside seating area was perfect to enjoy all the freshly baked goods. This is a must stop for anyone looking for true New Mexican bakery experience.
Tried 3 different sandwiches. Salami, Turkey, and Ham. All three on point. The acidity of the mustard and Italian vinaigrette was just right. Disappointed in in the cookie. When we went we saw lots of people eating pizza. Since we were just passing through and needed to eat on the car, we opted out. Definitely want to check out the Pizza in the future though. Cool fact: they roast their own coffee beans
Best sweet empanadas I've ever had. Dough is soft without being crumbly. Had cherry and a blueberry. Also sampled the famous biscochitos. Wonderful. I bet breads and pizza equally delicious.

Amazing bake shop that’s well loved and visited by the locals! The workers know many of the locals by name and sometimes begin ringing their order as they walk in the door. This is my first ever bisochito (pairs great with coffee) and I’m pleasantly surprised by how delicate and delicious they are! I’d love to visit again to try their pizzas and empanadas as those looked amazing as well!
We read about this bakery in the Lonely planet and went there to have dinner, it was a really big surprise about this tasty meal. What we can say: go there and try it, it's terrific and delicious. The place is comfortable and the people are really friendly. We met the boss Pratt and had a nice talk. It was a pleasure to be there. Thanks again! Petra and George
Came here twice in a week since the staff are so friendly and helpful. Food is affordable. The cookies are more of the crumbly kind. From the shakes to cookies to the pizza, everything was done well. A true hidden gem.

Too good to be true! Blue corn pizza dough recipe? 1 mile off of I-40, you won't regret the pit stop. Great pizza, great local beer, smoothies fresh baked bread, cookies and great waitstaff. Everything I ate was a magical assault to my tastebuds. I wish I lived close enough to this place to eat here at least 2 times a week.
The pizza was pretty good - the crust was very crispy if you like that (I do). Try their green chili bread. The staff is very pleasant. It wasn't too crowded inside and there is outside seating. They serve Pepsi products there (I prefer Coke) but that won't stop me from going back, there's other items I want to try.
I love the biscochitos! Crumbly but not to sweet. Just sweet enough with good flavor. Must try if passing through

This is one of those places which is way above 5 stars. Everything sold here is delicious and top quality. The empanada flavors and softness, I've never had anywhere before. The pizza is one of the best in the country. The biscochetos are fantastic. The hatch chili bread is one of the softest and most delicious.
Great little panderia. The cashier was friendly and even offered me a free cinnamon cookie. They have interesting flavors such as mocha wedding cookies and blue corn cinnamon cookies. The empanadas were large but the filling seemed a little artificial. They also serve pizza (which I didn't try )
I think this place is highly overrated. They have some good stuff but nothing to write home about. It definitely caters to a niche market and maybe I’m not part of it. It’s definitely a cool place to visit as the building is very traditionally New-Mexican. The wedding cookies were very good.
Don’t live in New Mexico any more but when I’m in town I make sure to stop in and get some biscochitos. They truly melt on your mouth, but don’t always travel well as they get crumbly. Sometimes, in the interest of quality, it’s best if I eat them all before flying home. Don’t tell my wife.
Had the pizzas here. It was pretty amazing. The owner came out and talked to us. Very friendly and good service. The only thing is the were out of almost everything. The empanadas were amazing. Very soft and crumbling melt in your mouth. I’d 100% recommend the biscotti milkshake.
Incredible New Mexican bakery with amazing pizza. Top notch biscochitos and empanadas. Good ice tea with a huge variety of teas to choose from. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in New Mexican food. Was also once visted by Guy Fieri.
I found the Golden Crown Panaderia on a list of things to do in Albuquerque. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating for the breakfast crowd, and everything is baked fresh on the premises. I loved being able to see the bakers working
Their pizza was delicious but a bit pricey. If I go back it will be for the dessert!! The biscochitos and empanadas were soooo yummy. My favorite pastry is pumpkin empanadas and this place makes one of the best I've ever had!!!
Delicious & great service.. I must add the wall outside was done beautifully and was done by a real expert I can tell just from the sheer perfection of it plus the style just makes new mexico feel so wonderful to be home
Call first drove all the way from rio for a baguette or Italian bread. Nothing. Asked if the had semolina bread. The clerk didn’t know what that was. 12.95 for a loaf bread is ridiculous. This isn’t Cali it New York More
Fanatic empañafas, light as a feather. I also tried a personal pizza with blue corn crust. I'm a jersey girl who's into traditional Italian pizza but once I told myself this wasn't going to be pizza, I loved it.
Awesome biscochitos. Good size and they melt in ur mouth. Assorted flavors. Chocolate ,Capachino, original. But the tostadas, yummy. Love this cute place. Outdoor patio. Empanaditas are tasty as well.
I wish I could rate them higher - legitimately some of the best coffee and pastries we have ever had. We chatted with the owner - sooooo friendly and his passion is infectious! HIGHLY recommended!!!
One of the best pizza I have ordered in the new mexico. Excellent homemade dough with fresh materials. So friendly guys. I really enjoyed the home-made cakes and cookies. Will definitely come back!
Great, friendly service. Prompt, polite attention. They let me try a sample to make sure I got what I wanted. The biscochitos are good, but the empañadas stole the show. Make a trip over!
Very recommendable - nice local owners (very good and personal service). Unbelievable good pizzas and (self-roasted) espresso (espresso as known in europe). Best regards from Vienna
They have a nice set up here. The outdoor seating area brings this place to life. The food was ok. I believe the owner took our order. He was friendly so I gave them an extra star.
We came here during the Balloon Festival for the fantastic empanadas. Truly wonderful--we liked the guava and raspberry. Another winner is the pizza--blue corn crust is awesome!
Everything here was delicious. We got different flavor empanadas and cookies. I'm usually not a fan of empanadas, but these are the best I've ever eaten in my 50+ years. …
Yum and yum! We left with empanadas and cookies but EVERYTHING looked delicious! Everyone there looked happy with their pizzas and cookies and smoothies and bread and coffee.
This place was great. They have the friendliest staff and the green chile bread is amazing. We went for cookies and they gave us samples of the bread and we were sold.
The coffee and empanadas are so good. The staff is really friendly, and I love the charm of the building. I've been here twice and it's been a year every time!
Great pizza, Great bakery. Place is designed to get your snacks and food and go home. No inside seating. Outside seating has no shade.... food was excellent.
Wonderful experience here! Staff was super helpful. Food was wonderful. Enjoyed the empanadas and pizza!! Their dough was unique, made with a darker flour…
First and last visit. Tried the famous green chili bread, it was so dry you could hardly swallow it. Biscochitos were fair, nothing to write home about.
This is a local favorite and has been featured on Diners, Drive-in and Dives. Delicious baked goods that are truly New Mexican. Must stop by if you can.
Small gem with a great atmosphere and a wonderful outdoor sitting area. The pizza and milkshakes are awesome and the green chili bread divine.
Very nice place built by the owner. A very charming man. Very tasty pastries, in a wide variety. Can't order, but there is a machine outside.
Amazing little spot! Food is perfection! Atmosphere is exactly what you want. Some of the best pizza I've ever tasted. Will be back asap!
This place is amazing. The pizzas, biscochitos, and the empanadas are so good. Don't leave without getting a loaf of freshly baked bread.
Incredible espresso with oat milk delicious! The Green Chile bread is a big hit at my house too. Thank you for the great service.
Pumpkin Empanada, Blue Corn and Chocolate Biscochitos, and World's Best Coffee Milkshake as good as an RI Coffee Cabinet!
Must try when in NM. Very unique and authentic. Guava empanada is amazing. Winner is blue corn bischochito. More
