Qatar embassy Sri lanka doesn’t attest British university degrees even though British council, University Grants Commission (SL) and Foreign ministry - consular affairs (SL) recognizes the certificates. We deserve a proper explanation more than a “NO” at the counter. Doesn’t accept card payment as well, once you get the turn after 20 people in line you’ll be turn back to do the deposit at Commercial bank which is around a kilo meter from the embassy.

Assalamu alaikum Dear qatar passengers if u want to attest a document 1st u want to go foreign ministry after attestation u have to come immediately to qatar embassy in front of royal college, u must to come and submit the documents before 11.30 am, after 11.30 am they will not accept ur documents for attest. So u all should be before 11.30 am then u can get attested copy before 5pm from qatar embassy, One document attestation fee 5000/- this is my experience, the bus route from pettah to qatar embassy Bus No 120,138. Note : the staffs of qatar Embassy very hot face they won't smile and not punctuality.

I had a good experience with them. Staffs are friendly and can get done the work. Office opens at 9 and we have to submit our necessary documents. If you are going to attest the MC you better get the copies of passport and nic and translated foreign ministry attested MC and original of marriage certificate (sinhala). After verification we should pay the payments in a near commercial bank(can use the thunmulla branch ). Now they cost 6000 for one document attestation. You can get the attested documents only by 3 to 330pm.

This is the second time we have visited the Embassy to collect our police clearance after 3 months. If you have paid the initial fee before, you will have to pay another 7k rupees each before u can claim it. They will give u a small stub and u will have to go to the nearest Commercial Bank to pay it. Give it back and come back at 330pm to claim. So if you are coming from far place, make sure you alot one day for this. You have to be there before 11am so u have time to get the stub and pay for the fee at Commercial Bank.

Horrible customer service ever. If you ever wish to take service of the consular division of this place your ability of patience/tolerance mist be excellence. They've put a notice there regarding collection of documents for attesting and the time is 10AM. Counter opened 10.15 and to take back those documents we have handed over we have be there at 2.30. Finally they release the documents 3.15. until that all had to stand and wait. They charge Rs. 5000 per document and on top of that service charge too. I

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Went there to get my marriage certificate attested. I would suggest u to have copies of all the documents and a translated stamped document from the foreign affairs and then last come here to get the certificate attested. There is a printing shop walking distance but I would recommend bringing copies of your own for ease. Wasn't too crowded everything was smooth. Recommend to reach there b4 10am

I went to attest a Marriage Certificate. You need the Original MC and Translated MC attested and sealed by Foreign Ministry. The staffs were good and helpful. Provide the relevant documents early as possible, so that you'll get it attested by 3. The only Drawback is they don't accept online transfer or ATM deposited slip. you need to go to nearest Commercial Bank(which is near Thunmulla Handiya) Attesting costed me 6000 per document.

Bad thing is no Banks nearby as all the payments have to done through Bank no online transfer ccepted by the embassy. When i back to collect the attrested doc and sitting in front of the staff view but they not calling name even the document is ready for collection

Very unprofessional ... I came from negombo two days in a row and they opened the counter for 5mins just to say that we need to come back on tuesday. So people cant get things done till then. I expect will have to come few more times to get a seal stamped.

The worst service I have ever had. There are men inside the embassy who treated the people like dogs. Dear Qatar, please change those people and appoint new service providers, and keep your country’s s name best. Thank you.

Hi guys .. don’t panic anyone to visit Qatar embassy, come on time because nowadays no queue.. please call and ask whatever documents you have to submit.. I’m really happy to share my experience Have a nice day

1.They aren't opening the embassy 9.00 am,it's need to change 10.30 am 2.if there no electricity (power cut),they are not ready to use generator saves people's time 3.good thing is security officer very kind full

Helpful.. but better to have all the payment options in the embassy it self. If online process people can save their valuable time. Hope they will come with better options once the renovations are over.

So unproffessional . It says they open at 9am. But they opened at 9.20am. I saw an officer walking down to a restaurant to have his breakfast at 9.05 am. Efficiency and punctuality has gone to dogs.

To attest a Marriage Certificate (MC), you need the Original MC and Translated MC attested and sealed by Foreign Ministry, and the Contract agreement copy (if going for work).
