AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! My BMW was hit while parked up and required repairs at a local bodyshop. The bodyshop made a reservation for a rental car on Friday but Perry from Enterprise Barking telephoned on Monday morning to say they didn’t have a car available. Had to postpone my car being collected until the following day. Bodyshop said the rental car would be delivered to my home address but apparently the Barking branch doesn’t have the resources available to deliver so I had to take the bus to collect the car. When I arrived the Toyota Aygo (FA19 UPS) was a death trap - the engine was making a loud noise and the biting point was very high compared to other cars I have driven. Colleagues at Enterprise said it was normal and it had a ‘high clutch’ and I would ‘get used to the biting point’. I had the car for approximately 28 hours (drove 12 miles in total) and on the way back to the branch the engine cut out at traffic lights, there was a burning smell, and I just about got the engine started again. By the time I got back to the branch the engine/clutch was knackered. The staff at the branch played innocent but were already aware of the issue because Perry informed me he drove the car yesterday and it was playing up. Also, it was documented that the car had 1/4 tank of petrol in it (should be about 60-70 miles) but by the time I got 2 minutes down the road the range was under 20 miles. I then had to put in £12 worth of petrol to get the car back to them. The damage report on rental agreement said ‘no damage reported’ despite having numerous scuffs and scratches on the vehicle. I raised my concerns but apparently scratches etc are not classed as major damage and are not included on the report. This seemed strange as when I collected the car I was given a 5 minute talk informing me I would be liable for small things such as windscreen chips and scratches larger than 2cm etc unless I took out their additional protection. Luckily I took photos of the damage beforehand so Enterprise couldn’t shaft me. Absolute fraudsters with terrible customer service. I would never use Enterprise again! Avoid at all costs. You’ve been warned! No Chris R, I don’t wish to contact your team they have already wasted enough of my time. If you wish to discuss you know where I am!

If I had the option of no stars this is what I would have given. Booked car for 8am Monday morning however got a call on the Saturday to say car wouldn't be ready until 9-10am. I arrived shortly after 10am and had to wait as the car was still being cleaned. The car smelt of cigarettes. I said to a member of staff that the car smelt and they said they couldn't smell it. When I collected my passenger the first thing the said was how bad the car smelt. With all the delays we arrived late to our destination and firts booked activity. The car drive nicely however when we went to use the car again, a few days later, it wouldn't start. We had to wait for several hours for the AA. We eere unable to access the boot and had to wait outside with our belongings and children before the AA arrived. Thank goodness the weather wasn't too bad. We didn't switch the car off in fear of it not starting again. On the way home the tyre pressure warning came on. Adding to my stress however we didn't want to switch the car off in fear it wouldn't start. Due to the delays we were unable to return the car on the Friday evening as hoped. The car was parked on my drive over night. I went to return the car the very next morning and it wouldn't start. Called the branch and they wanted me to call the AA again. They did eventually agree to collect. I have also had additional £200 taken from my account. A total of £400 on top of the £522 already paid for a car that caused nothing but stress. Car wasn't fit for purpose and I wished I had saved my money and used my own car. A memebr of staff stated that the car undergoes checks before they are given out however I don't believe this is the case and wished I had read these reviews before hiring. Never again! Now to find out why they have taken £400 without my permission.

I recently hired a 7 seater from my local Enterprise on Ripple Road, Dagenham. - I was expected to return my hire back to the site by 11.30 on a Monday, however my kids were not well and it would mean me taking all 3 of them with me and then walking the long journey back. So i called the branch and kindly asked if they pick up hires, unfortunately they do not offer this service. However the employee on the line kindly agreed to picking up the car from my house even though it was not part of the service. I was sooo grateful and happy that he as it saved me from bringing my kids out with me. Shaim called me before he was about to arrive, when he did, he gave the car a quick check and drove it away, he was very nice and friendly. Will definitely feel comfortable hiring from here again if i need too. Thank you very much. - happy customer.

The staff at Barking, particularly the manager are always helpful, friendly and informed. We always choose to go to this Enterprise location because of how friendly the staff are and how helpful. The process was smooth with the booking made on line already with additional services such as roadside assistance clearly explained at the office. We did not have to wait too long and when we have in the past we are always offered a drink and staff, particularly the manager check we are ok. We were taken through the vehicles on offer and we went for an upgrade on the one that we had chosen and sufficient time was taken to show us how to operate the car we opted for. Returning the car was just as pleasant an experience, friendly and smoothly administered. Five star service and a manager that ensures her team understands Customer Care!

I made a reservation for a medium van when I got there I looked at the size and I asked if I could get a bigger van. Monty looked into this and upgraded me to a large van, I paid the extra hire cost and also took out EP. When I returned with the Ford Transit van I had an issue which the Assistant Manager Nyarko Owusu resolved for me very quickly, I was really impressed with his professionalism and in-depth knowledge of the products and processes of enterprise car hire. I also observed how he guides the other assistants and I felt they look up to him. I could not have asked for a better service. Also Monty was a pleasure to deal with, I highly recommend Enterprise Barking and will use that branch in the future.

This company makes renting cars as easy as possible. My van was ready on my arrival an the whole paperwork process took no time. I have made booking over the phone and I was suggested best price for the day I needed to rent. Staff is very professional and helpful. I am only giving 4 stars because van's tank was half way filled up and I was requested to return it it at same level. It is hard for someone who doesn't drive vans regularly to guess how much diesel was used. This seems to be company issue not the branch itself. This was my sixth visit and I will be returning again. And big thanks to manager for help with van return....

I rented a car for one week and found all the staff courteous and friendly. The car was a compac suv and fairly new. On the second day I started to smell a tobacco smell, maybe it came from a previos customer and the ventilation system. On returning the car when they asked if they could do anything better i pointed this slight annoyance to them. I was met with whole hearted appologises and offers of recompense. I would of given this branch a 5 star rating if it was not for that and a billing issue which to be fair has been now sorted out, thanks to shakiela and the manager. Welldone its good to see youngsters who take some pride.

World's worst customer service. Bunch of fraudsters taking money out of account with out permission or contact first. Sent me on a wild goose chase for a new tyre two garages four hours wasted not one person had a clue about a booking. Even after reporting damage on vehicle which started falling apart in the back on first day. Then trying to shift blame on the other branches for their own failings stay well clear. They have live prices system which charges you more when they have less vehicles. Better of going direct to manufacturers for a better cheaper deal.

I had very bad experience with Six and I decided to try Enterprise in Barking, such a difference. Barking branch is the best. Very nice, kind and professional staff working in this branch. Very welcoming and fast. I did hire from another hire company before and had me waiting for time. Barking enterprise don’t mess about. The car was lovely and will 100% recommend pulling a car/van from here u will have the best experience with them. Don’t know the staff name but thank you for waiting a little after the closing time for me to pick up the car really appreciate it. :)

The assistant Emma was lovely however she couldn't tell me engine size of cars on the day. She said it could only be told when the car was available to take. (Dear Chris R. My review above is self explanatory. Writing to another email is wasting my time. I'm sure it would be easy for enterprise to put car details in computer system for your customers questions. Had a hire car as mine went wrong Was supposed to pick it up on a Friday at 1400 Called at 1330 and was told car won't be ready till 1600 and would call when it's ready At 1650, they called to say am I collecting the car I said yes on my way but someone was going to call but did not I said I'll be 20 minutes and they said they were closing in 10 minutes So, I had to pick it up Saturday morning not impressed

I’m a regular customer at the barking branch, most recently I hired a transit van for removal. As usual the staff were great and friendly, no issues picking up and sand with return. I had to extend my hire for another day and all it taken was a 4 minute phone call. Special thanks to Mo, Maz, Anish, Ny, Mini,Perry and Saj. I have dealt by all them at some point and the customer service is second to none.

Very poor customer service. I was served by the agent named Saj. He is not only rude but also ignorant. I thinks he needs a proper training about customer service. The branch manager Adem was not present in the branch during my visit. Moreover, the washroom facility as out of order. I’ll not recommend someone to visit this branch if you have any alternatives.

Very poor service Booked a van and when arrived they didn't have it in stock. Offered me a smaller van and teodora said it would arrive soon. Waited over 1 hour for it to arrive still didn't arrive. Could hear all the staff talking not professional at all. Double booking clients to make sure all vehicles are rented. I would never rent from this branch again.

I got a car from them throught my insurance . The worst car ever i had . ( hyunday i10)It keeps dying and i have to push the car 3 times to turn it on to get to work . And today again and i lossed my day work because of this. I will turn it back today if i can manage to turn it on. Bad service

Staff where very helpful, and assisted with a replacement vehicle when the one that was booked was unavailable. This location is very busy, and is well connected by public transport. Only issue is the road out front is normally double parked by HGV's making a new vehicle a experience.

Insurance company used this company for courtesy car. On arrival exchanged relevant documents, checked car over and then had to wait for car to be washed and hoovered out. On closer inspection car was still quite dirty and when I reached home I then cleaned interior of car.
