Due to the fact that I don't have or want a credit card, finding somewhere to hire a van can be tricky. However, Enterprise allow you to hire vehicles with a debit card, and as my local branch had a suitable van available on the date I needed one, I reserved online. They also state on the website to bring your driving licence, and if hiring with a debit card, to bring along two other proofs of address, and they may need to perform checks on these. Fair enough, so I popped along to the branch with all these. So far, so good. I then entered the branch, was seen straight away, and the staff were very friendly and approachable. But they couldn't give me the van. It wasn't because the van wasn't ready, as it was outside waiting for me. It wasn't because of a problem with my licence, I've held a full licence since the age of 17 with no endorsements. It wasn't because of a problem with payment, there was my debit card with more than enough to cover the deposit and all other fees. The problem? Despite having multiple proofs of address, their online address check came back as a fail. This despite it being the same address as on my driving licence. The same address as shows on the electoral register (which was verified on their system). The same address I've lived in since the 1990s. But the computer still said no! Apparently, this is because the utility bills at the address aren't paid by me, and I'm not in the habit of borrowing money! Even the enterprise staff were surprised by the result. So, had to leave with no van. Annoying for me, and annoying for those who were relying on me to show up with a big van today.

Absolutely disgusting service, don’t use them unless you want to waste your time. I made a booking for the bank holiday weekend. Turned up on Friday and I was told by the duty manager that he as no cars and will try find me one. He also told me that he tried to call me but I had no missed calls. I asked him why didn’t he leave a voicemail but he said he couldn’t leave one. And I know for a fact he’s lying now. Waited for 30 mins so he can check whether he has any cars from other branches. By checking, he was talking & solving other people’s queries.. Bear in mind, there are other customers coming in & taking cars whilst I’m waiting around. 30 mins gone & I had to get up to ask what’s happening, didn’t even have the decency to update me. I was asked to wait another 15 mins, and then told they have no cars. I told him I have booked hotels etc, all non-refundable and he couldn’t care less. I asked for his name & he mumbled it & had to ask for again multiple times until he said it clearly. Then, I asked for the duty manager, he said it was him. Shocking behaviour from someone who is in charge. I would worry about a branch led by someone like that. You ruined my bank holiday weekend, wasted my money and my time. Shame on you. I will be formally writing a complaint letter to the branch manager, area manager and the head office

I rent a van every month and usually they are all good but I guess it maybe be change in the management, new staff called Lateesha is the worst person I've ever dealt with in my life. She has no regard for customer service whatsoever and makes up stories and plans she has in her head just to get you off the phone and then ignores you for hours and hours. I could potentially write a book with the stories she has told me. Not only I've had a major deal cancelled because she couldn't be bothered to ensure a van booked 2 days in advance was available on time but even the delayed time she ensured the van would be there that was again delayed by nearly an hour. She then forgot to return the call when the van was there. I had been trying to get hold of her for an hour and when she finally picks up she says oh I thought you were coming in, completely ignoring the fact she was meant to call me back when the van was there. She knew the importance of me getting the van as quickly as possible, she was just chilled about it like nothing has happened and she didn't care. I sincerely believe she should be a better person and Enterprise should at least train her again on how to deal with customers or just have a little bit of regard for other people. They matter too.

FRAUDULENT and extremely unprofessional . booked a LWB van back in november 2019. on arrival i was informed they had no more LWB as such i was offered a smaller van which i declined. they then suggested a lwb could be available as one was currently being repaired but i had to wait . i waited for 3hours in order for the repair to be completed. the usual checks - Bodywork and fuel - were carried. out and i was handed the keys. i started the van only to realise a Check engine light was present. i queried this, but was told it should reset itself. i should return the van in the same condition. no damage to the bodywork and same fuel level. i returned the van 2days later. sane checks carrried out and accepted as being in the same condition. 3 months later i received an invoice and a debit from my account of £250 for a " damage " with no description. i queried what this was only to be informed " check engine light was present when i returned the van" . what utter nonsense. it was present even before i left. the same checks done on collection were done on return. if there was a problem , why wasnt it picked up on return, why did it take 3 months? woolwich branch is ran by cowboys. be careful. thieves the lot of them.

Great team + excellent service! Was greeted with a smile and a warm welcome from manager and the colleagues on the first day I walked in. The representative I dealt with was Shahid who was just so easy to get on with and made me feel comfortable. Generally I've had some miserable experiences and lost trust in these type of services but Shahid made me feel like a valued long term customer from day one! First time renting an XL van and taking abroad, Shahid took care of the necessary paperwork. Picked up on the day showed me around and made me comfortable. Return was just as easy, I was a little sceptical of my deposit BUT absolutely no issues and it was returned with zero issues. I work in customer service myself and to smile everyday to customers and be in a good mood is not an easy task. Thank you Shahid for making my experience a pleasant one. No doubt when I ever need a rental again I will be back again! All the best in your future ventures!

Initialy very impressed but on further investigation things are not as they seem. Originally hired a Luton with Tail Lift in June17 @ £60.00 for the day, in August the price was £88.00, just went on the website to hire one for September and price was £112.00. I phoned Enterprise and asked them why such a price increase, apparently it's down to demand! Doesn't realy make sense, how can it be down to demand, you either have a vehicle to rent or you don't therefore the price should not fluctuate, if your selling potatos i can understand it, but hiring van's; come on!!!!!!

Rented a Luton van here to move house during the snowy days in Dec 2022. The hire and van itself was fine. However I gave 3 stars as there was no antifreeze in the screenwash which meant it was extremely difficult to see through the windscreen on the motorway due to all of the spray and salt, and there was no way for me to clean it off without pulling over to clean. I would have expected that enterprise prepared for the cold weather appropriately and made sure that I was able to use the screenwash.

In October 2022, I needed a van to help someone move flats. Booking process seamless. Enterprise manager called me personally day before hire started to confirm in advance all details necessary for a quick and easy pick up. Pick up itself was indeed quick and easy and vehicle, Luton Transit, was excellent. On return staff were busy so manager conducted examination of vehicle personally. Deposit refund arrived same day. Great work thank you

I booked a car with Plumstead enterprise in a 2 weeks advance they took my money when I went to their store they said my adress history check has failed I was really disappointed it was my little boy’s birthday enterprise basically ruined our family holiday and now it’s been almost a month and they still didn’t refund my money really disappointed as they said it will take no more than 10 days .

Had a car from this branch via my insurance while it was being repaired the guy to delt with me was Rude and treated me like he didn’t care on the return date he told me I didn’t know what I was doing and I know nothing ? I’ve since contacted enterprise customer support centre but never received any response. Very disappointing will never use them again

Disappointing, Gave me punctured car, water all over the wing mirrors, told me that fuel tank is full when it was less than a quarter, Never picked me up unlike the claim the company that picks u up. Charged me £350 for a little cut to the tyre alloy protection rubber. I am chasing my complaint and money since over 5weeks, still no update.

I've used this branch more than once and most recently last week for a trip to Scotland. I dealt with "Naz" I'm only making this review as the customer service and support I got from him was top work. I told him it goes a long way these days. I've no issues with using the Woolwich branch again and would suggest it as the go to.

RIP OFF .RIP OFFF . Again rip off rental company. Dropped van back to Birmingham with required fuel they charge me an extra day plus 150 for different Location. Then without any communication they took another £82 from Account..£702 for 4 day rental ...much cheaper and better service from practical or nationwide van rental ..

The young men who work here are all so friendly and attentive. I hired a car earlier this year in May for a short stay in Chichester,Sussex. The guys were so helpful and made sure I was fully informed on the process if hiring as it was my first time, we hire a renault captur. Definitely would recommend and would use again.

This centre has very courteous and thoughtful staff members. I found it strange initially that they were not trying to catch me out, which other rental car companies sometimes try to do. They took time to go through the details of my booking and the associated risk of not having a cover. Definitely coming back.

Customer service was on point. Harry was great and gave me the best van he had to offer. I got a slight upgrade FOC and given a bigger van which did the job. If I had been given the van I originally booked I dont think I would have got everything in. Highly recommended. Professional and friendly staff.

After doing a reservation for our holidays they called us in just when we was going to pick the car telling us that as we did it with a debit card and that is not allowed. Why then that accept them in the website? Why they didn't called us before and not in the last minute? Very disappointed!!!

Very friendly and efficient staff. Every one greeted me on entry and I was seen to straight away and I was driving away within 10mins (I had given them all my detail online including driving licence). Also I go a free upgrade so ended up with a bigger car. I would recommend this place.

Always received good service at great price. Please make a complete clear video before driving off. Last time the video saved me from trouble with their tiny crack on windshield which was only noticed after a lady did a return inspection. She's got an eagle eye.
