***AVOID!!!! DECEITFUL PRICE GOUGING!!!***THIS COMPANY SWINDLES ELDERLY HOMEOWNERS My grandparents got a quote from this company and it was 35,000! Then went down to 30k if they promised *not to tell anyone about the “deal” they were getting.* They also told my 95 year old grandpa that if he dies my mother would not have to pay off the remaining debt and the insurance would pay it. Also failed to mention that at $400/month payments the overall cost with interest would be $78,000. I live in pa and didn’t hear about it until the next week. The “don’t tell anyone about the deal you’re getting” was a big red flag so I asked my friend that has a construction company and does roofing and he said that based on the sq footage of the roof it should cost around 15k. He confirmed my concerns and said that he knew of a local construction company in pa that took advantage of elderly homeowners and that it wasn’t uncommon. I called around local North Carolina roofing companies and they confirmed that 30k was way overpriced. This salesman took advantage of an elderly man and didn’t tell him that he had 3 days to cancel and pressured him to sign papers that day so he wouldn’t get another quote or have time to think about it. They were able to con him into believing he was paying for high quality shingles and he couldn’t back out after signing the contract. He was willing to pay higher because the salesman told him that my mother would not have to pay the remaining balance if he dies and the insurance will cover it. Of course afterwards learned that that was not the case. The roof was done in one day and as far as we know the quality seems fine but considering how dishonest they were the confidence is low. If anyone you know got a quote make sure they get at least a second opinion. The salesman absolutely ripped off and lied to my grandfather.

The sales process for this company is the most commercialized and non transparent of any purchase I have ever made. We went through the scripted sales demo which was long but somewhat informative. We were presented a price for 2 different types of roofing. These quotes were 3-4x what we had been quoted by other very qualified roofing companies. By the time the rep left our home they had discounted 3 different times (almost a 10k price drop within 30 mins). Those discounts only came if we signed day of. After a couple of days they call back and say they found ANOTHER discount!!! They won't give us a final price via email or phone call but demanded to come back to our house again to give another price (they don't want that price in writing). Amazing that their roof price continually drops after we keep saying no. One of their discounts is only provided if you sign an NDA on pricing for your roof. Just beware moving forward with this company. I am not speaking to their quality- they may provide great materials and finish great roofs- but so do other companies who are much more upfront about what you're getting into. If you do move forward with Erie make sure to refuse for a week to get that discount!

We are so happy we decided to go with Erie Home. Initially we just wanted to know more about them and what they had to offer but, after the consultation, it was clear that they are a reputable and reliable company. That really matters when it comes to our roof! We love our home, and the roof protects it all. I was impressed with the crew as well, very professional. I had a leak around the chimney and a couple of areas of concern that they handled very well. A water issue was discovered during the removal of the old roof and some plywood was replaced. The source of that leak was taken care of as well. Afterward, the foreman provided me pictures of the whole process. I am extremely pleased with the thoroughness of his crew, the lengths at which they went to protect every roof detail before the shingle application. The ground areas around the house was well protected too. A lot of attention was placed on that and clean up was as if they were never there. I can now feel confident when it rains or storms. And the shingle quality! Better than what I've seen before. Aside from feeling secure with a company like Erie homes, I highly recommend the crew they have to do the installation.

Working with Erie Roofing was a pleasant experience. Our salesman Craig was on time and pleasant to work with. After he climbed all over our roof he then came in and got to work on the details. We didn't qualify for a fancy metal roof but that was fine with us. We both are disabled and on a fixed income so we just needed a roof! Craig worked out financing for us and set a date about a month out. Byron called and set up dates for the materials to arrive and the installation crew a couple of days later. After much anticipation the day came. I was up way early and good because the installation crew was here before daylight. By 5:00 the crew was done, cleaned up and gone. While the quality of material and warrant information was great, the salesman was not professional! After a very long time of talking about the company and the quality of their materials we had a “final” number! I would’ve had to apply to see what my actual payment would be and later cancel if it was out of our budget! The “final” number was discounted 3+ times and only valid if I committed to the service that day! As a young adult/parent and having only owned the home for 3 months I told the salesman it was going to be tough for my wife and I to fit that into our budget right now to which he responded “that’s alright, I’ve got a solid roof over my head” with a slight chuckle! After he “left” he approached my door asking why my wife and I couldn’t afford the payment seeing how it wasn’t bad in his opinion! Also quote was expensive compared to other large named roofing companies!

This is our 1st experience with Erie Roofing and we are very please with the new roof. They came on a Saturday avoiding chance of rain and had a seven man crew completing the entire project including tear-off in about 8 hours. They protected all of our landscaping with tarps all around the house and also protected our new gutters from damage. We were very happy with the entire roof system starting with fire & ice shield then covering the entire roof with their radiant barrier before installing shingles. These guys worked together as a team and were constantly cleaning up so there was little left to cleanup at the end of the project. We definitely recommend Erie Roofing for your roofing project.

Our old roof was losing shingles every time the wind blew. I contacted Erie about a steel roof. Little did I know that they require maintenance every 8-10 years. The sales pros showed my wife and I an alternative that should be the last roof that we have to put on. The material and crew arrived on time. The job was complete by the time I got home from work. The gardens, the walk and the back deck were all debris free! The crew did a great job and were respectful of us and our property. Every line item (explained in detail by the sales pros before papers were signed) was checked off. The only evidence left behind by the work crew was a beautiful new roof.

Erie was professional in our home as we went through the different kinds of shingles and the benefits as well as the installers that came that day to install the roof. Everyone answered all my questions and all the debris from the old roof and the new roof were disposed properly. I only have one comment regarding the installation. We weren't given a lot of time (3 days) before they came out to install. We also expected more than just 3 people at the jobsite. It took a lot longer than we anticipated and one of the gentlemen had to come back the next day because he didn't have all the parts. Everything else was great. Our new roof looks fantastic.

I was very pleased with the original meeting with the sales rep/product specialist. They were able to provide me with comprehensive information on the product and the installation process. I was very impressed. From the photos that were provided by the installation workers, the roof looks great. They were very hard workers and left the area completely free of any debris. You would not know there had been a roof installation. I feel very comfortable with the company and the guarantee provided. On the morning of the job, they arrived earlier than I was told. About 0700 was the time they got here. They started out kind of slow. First they did not have a trailer with them to put the old shingles into. But they did get right to work taking off the old shingles. It was very windy so there was old tar paper going all over. Cut to the end of the day, 3 guys started the day. After lunch four more and a trailer showed up. New shingles on and cleaned up by 5:30 pm. We are pleased with the roof, Looks Great! Corrupt high pressure salesman, with every gimmick in the book. Promised my Dad's roof would be guaranteed if something happened to him before he finished his payments. He tried to get this in writing, but they came out and put in the roof without providing any contract, and then said it was not guaranteed. The only reason he agreed their astronomical price was because of the guarantee, and that was a lie. Do not call this company unless you want to pay tens of thousands more than the competition.

I love my new metal roof. The color and style options were wonderful I live in area mostly similar houses so I chose red to coordinate with red brick foundation The 50 Year warranty means "one and done" for me. More expensive than standard but 50 Year warranty I won't have to worry. The Installers were hard working nice guys got the job done in timely manner and as I work second shift week days I was delighted they worked Saturday and Sunday Only hiccup was address was transposed on work order

The Erie sales people were very friendly and helpful. The installation crew did a great job. They cleaned up at the end of each day, and then did a complete clean up at the end of the project. We purchased the metal roof that looks like shingles and is warrantied for 50-years so that we do not need to worry about a roof for the rest of the time we have this house, and due to the fully-transferable warranty, nor do the next owners. I highly recommend Erie Construction.

When Ben came and inspected my roof, he informed me that it was OK for now and I did not need to replace it. However he informed me that my 2 fans were no good any more and they could replace them with solar ones. I thought this was great but informed him it would never be approved since I live on a SS monthly check. Well in just a few days he returned and said he had gotten me approved. Amazing! I am looking forward to a lower electric bill this summer

Overall a good experience. Mother Nature worked against us the first day. Everything was completed on the second day. They finished late due to the weather. The installers did a great job cleaning up before they left. The two small details were corrected by mid-week. My wife and I are very pleased with new roof. Especially the color. The materials of our new roof are first-rate, and we are excited about the 30-year guarantee. Each step of the process was explained to us, we could always get a person on the phone when we had questions, and the installation crew was professional, resepectful and very hard-working. Our neighbors, who are retired and had time to watch, commented on how hard the crew worked, even in a light rain, which sneaked into the picture.

The team came out on a Friday morning to remove and install seamless gutters with gutter guard protection. They finished by lunch. After returning from work I was very impressed by the quality of the gutters. The worksite was left free of debris and was very clean. As a retired roofer, I am able to validate Erie's claim that they seal all the holes in a typical roofing installation. I was super impressed with the fact that they cleaned up while the work was in progress. I was able to walk around my yard while they were working. They didn't cut any corners, but did everything very efficiently and properly according to spec. I just love their work.

The crew came very early and started immediately. They stayed until 8:30pm in the evening cleaning and prepping for next day. Had a good sales call. Company communicated well. Installers arrived early and got right to work. Completed in 6 hrs. Only thing I did not like was I asked that the company call before delivering supplies because dog is usually out. No one called. Luckily I was able to get the dog in.
