"I first went to the Deerwood bookstore to get the code for my senior exit exam"
"This place doesn't even deserve one star"
"Ordered a book for when a class I am taking started"
"Every time I go in here the staff is not smiling or asks if you need any help"
"I recently bought a book and realized a week later that it was not needed for the class"
I first went to the Deerwood bookstore to get the code for my senior exit exam. The code was invalid, used in 2021. I went to South bookstore to get another one. It was also used in 2021. I returned yet again and was told all of their codes were bad. I was supposed to get a call to see if they got new codes but they never called. When I made the call, they said they would refund me and send a confirmation email. I never got an email, so I doubt they actually refunded me. Overall bad experience. And as a note, it’s significantly cheaper to buy the code direct from Peregrine than through the bookstore.
This place doesn't even deserve one star. I wonder if it is just this campus, or all of the FSCJ bookstores, but it is awful. The worst part is the employees. They are all extremely rude and are no help whatsoever. And don't even bother calling the bookstore for anything, they'll just put you on hold for as long as they can. Latoya was the rudest one I've dealt with yet. Any time I asked her a question she would sigh at me and cop an attitude. Very unprofessional. I've never had one good experience going there.
Ordered a book for when a class I am taking started. The "book" was ordered in time for the class to start to the tune of $225. I got a shipping update the next day. Great. Until the shipping status stayed at "Label printed" for the better part of two weeks. When the "book" finally arrived it was just an access code printed on what looks like used paper that they could have just emailed to me. Unable to call and talk to anyone either. I hope I can find my future purchases elsewhere.
Every time I go in here the staff is not smiling or asks if you need any help. The only friendly person that was actually helpful was Gina which is why this review is getting more stars than it should. She could actually answer questions in a non argumentative tone unlike the rest of the staff. A cashier just called me to the front and got me an access code and then walked away. Maybe hire some students who actually want to be there not these older women who look like they hate life
I recently bought a book and realized a week later that it was not needed for the class. When going in to return it the gentleman at the front desk was very rude and states that returns cannot be completed without a receipt and would not offer a credit. This was not told to me when completing the transaction to buy the book nor was it offered to be put under my phone number. How was I meant to know to keep my paper copy receipt if no one told me when buying it.
Price gouging worthy of the modern student debt crisis luckily I get my government mandated handout(tm) to be able to pay for my 2$ chocolate bar while I eat away at my failing grades from my do nothing professors who refuse to help, get fired due to tenure, or just flat out die from heart attack. Thank you and please stock more Crunch bars
Very well organized. Line moves a little slow but that's to be expected at the beginning of any semester (I went on Day 3 of the spring semester). Prices are typical for a college book store (expensive), but they do offer used and rented options for many of the available materials.
The first time I went, the lady at the front was rude and sarcastic when I was nothing, but nice. I’m new and I choose to spend my money to go here and the first staff I meet is unprofessional and lazy. Customer service is everything, please fix it.
Was there Monday and they had a young girl working who was obviously sick and should not be there spreading germs. Thanks for taking forever to let me pay for my books while this girl coughed her brains out, now I'm sick, great.
Very unhelpful. If you call, you will wait forever on hold. In person the staff are rude, and there is a lot of staff turn over. Nobody greets you when you walk in. Returning a book is like pulling teeth!!
South campus bookstore staff are literally the best ever. They work understaffed all the time and still kick butt. Thank you guys!!!! Mrs Ashley and her team are the best ❤❤❤
Awful service, awful price for book selling and buyback. Don’t buy books from the bookstore all the books are cheaper on amazon. You’ll get 2$ back for a 250$ book.
People are always nice and friendly. Super busy during this pandemic and there's usually a line so be sure you've got at least 30-60 min .
Helpful staff, organized, efficient. If you need help finding a used book for class make sure to go bit earlier before your class starts
I talk to Porsche about issue I had and she was amazing. She definitely resolve my issue and her customer service skills really helped.
Why don’t they ever answer their phones...? I’d rather not have to drive 30 minutes just to cancel an online book order.
Everyone here is very friendly and knowledgeable and very beautiful campus they really are on top of the upkeep
Don’t even bother try calling its been a year since I have been calling their phone and no answer!!
Staff Is Very Lovely And Go An Extra Mile To Make Sure You Have Everything You Need
Too expensive, buy or rent your books on amazon or Chegg for so much cheaper!
No too good.they need somebody with good smile and customer services.
Very easy to find your course books..stored in alphabetical order..
So helpful. They went above and beyond to find a book for me.
Ordered books online and I was in and out rather quickly.
