Staff is always lovely. But being a bookstore the prices for anything is gouged to death. It would be nice if there was more quality control for the product being sold. I bought a pair of wireless earbuds for around $25. They ended up being made out of plastic so flimsy that it makes McDonald's toys look resilient. The sound quality is horrible and it refuses to hold a charge. But because of the sign that says "No returns on open box electronic" next to where I bought it I guess I'm stuck. I mean I suppose it's a reasonable policy for them to have to protect themselves with but I should have just ordered something off of Amazon. At least then I'd be protected by a return policy.

unprofessional. they expect people to rely on false information. I pre-ordered a book in store on Thursday and I was told that it would be available for pick-up the following Monday (And that they'd notify me). It is now TUESDAY, and I need the book by THURSDAY. I called and I'm being told that there's no trace of my order in the system and that the textbook is on back-order for TWO WEEKS. Also, the cashiers are rude and they need to work on their communication skills with the customers. I hate having to buy my books here because there is almost always complications. If I could rate this establishment a 0/5 it would STILL be too high.

Upon my experience at the UNF book store. The register worker Shelby, was very rude not only to her Co-worker, but also to the customers. She has zero hospitality skills, making the customer feel un-welcomed. She did not ask questions to find out weather renting or purchasing the book. She truly did not want to help customer out in general. The date is 8/22/2020. Yes she was a few minutes overtime, but that does not allow the employee to be rude to the customers. Overall, Shelby should be required to go through further customer service training, along with reviewing of further employment based on her lack of customer service skills.

The girl behind the desk refused to get up and help me look for a book that I already told her I had looked for but was out of stock. She was rude and acted like I was inconveniencing her and I had to go to another employee to get help. The person I spoke on the phone with gave me the wrong information and so I wasted an hour of my time in the bookstore only to be told at the register that I had been misinformed. I informed the general manager of all of this and she didn't care at all. Between the prices and rude attitudes, save yourself money, time, and headaches and just go to Amazon.

It’s a nice now that they’ve remodeled it to be a lounge almost. Its added more usage to the building. The only problem is finding what you need without asking the staff. I personally don’t like bothering the staff, but I don’t think I’ve ever found what i needed without asking a worker. On the bright side, since I have no sense of direction and ask a worker nearly every time I’ve visited the store, they have never been wrong. They lead me to not only the general section that I am looking for, but to the exact product I have described! (Magnifico)

The General Manager Heather has zero credibility when it comes to her job. She really only cares about her personal feelings and what she feels the rules should be and not campus policy, and further more bringing money into the store. I would make sure you have her validate everything she tells you and also check your purchases and make sure your not being charged a brand new fee for a used book. If You need help with anything as far as management be sure to go to anyone but her because she does not have your best interest.

I went to the bookstore in hopes to support the school by purchasing my books there - instead of amazon. I waited in line to purchase my book & both attendants ignored me. One continued to talk to customers being helped by someone else and the other answered the phone instead of checking me out. So I left my books on the counter & ordered off amazon. It’s not hard to have decent customer service? Take my money? The 2nd floor ladies were so helpful and kind.

If I could, I would give it 0 stars. The online order fulfillment is extremely disorganized. Somehow my order with three books was fulfilled and then misplaced? I don’t understand how, unless it was mistakenly given to someone else. A better system should be put in place to prevent continually inconveniencing students. I needed one of the books I was intending on picking up for an 8 am lab, and the bookstore doesn’t open until 9am.

I am sick and tired of the required books for this school. One class requires 5 books more then the class cost. Also, buy the book off of amazon from the book list because they are cheaper then the on campus book store and the access codes will not work for the class. Also, they will change the books required a day before the class. I am sick of this school already. They should be held accountable for their lack of actions.

For a University bookstore this one is great. They have excellent customer service and the apparel you obviously won't be able to find elsewhere other than UNF. However, let's be honest the books are over priced. But hey, it's a school so we would expect that! Don't buy books from a University bookstore unless it's a UNF brand book that you cannot buy anywhere else. It is just a waist of money.

Worst return policies ever. Have gotten books from here twice. When I found out I didnt need one of the books for a class, they would not accept it past thier 2 day policy. The policy wan not listed anywhere on the paperwork they gave me, instead I was expected to go online to figure it out. Do yourself a favor and go to amazon instead, better prices, better customer service.

Well, it is the UNF bookstore...lots of clothing merchandise and supplies on the 1st floor. The 2nd floor has some dorm supplies but is scant on books and has alot of unused space (perhaps since we are still dealing with Covid-19) although there are always employees ready to help at the front desk of the 2nd floor...more can be done on the 2nd floor...

Huge! I didn't think a bookstore could be so big! I was visiting my sister who happens to attend one of the greatest colleges in the South when I came across this amazingly large store. I'd like to think of it as a gift shop as I saw tons of merchandise representing the campus. It's just another part of the many wonderful places in this campus.

  • Amber Nejjari

Went in to find system down. Was given a book without a rent sticker and told I had no more books due only to be charged! I was far away from the store and they could do nothing to wave my fee. The manager was super unhelpful! Gotta love a school bookstore attempting to rip you off because they have a bit of a monopoly on the system.

  • Gennifer Smith

I ordered a used rental book that was listed as "in stock" I went to pick up two weeks later and it was not with the rest of my books. I went two more weeks later and had still not arrived. Now it's been 6 weeks, still no book, class has started and they want me to buy a NEW book and they refund me the used/rental price it 6-8 weeks.

  • Clay K

Never notified me my text book was ready in the summer semester even when I called to check on it however it was there the whole time. I tried reaching out to the manager as at this point the semester was well underway and I was starting to experience negative effects on my grades. Definitely not an organized book store.

  • Katie Johns

They cannot get orders in on time. Ordered honor cords and they were so backed up they only said they hope to get them to me by my commencement. Had to do pictures without them etc. The clothes are also extremely cheap and after one wash fall apart. If possible order your stuff from Amazon or anywhere else!

  • Damon Carney

They tell you to checkout downstairs because they are too lazy to check you out upstairs. The layout of the store is the worst. The staff always seems confused. It is not a good experience. Like everything in Jacksonville it's sub par. Not sure why I expected UNF to be any better.

  • Angie

Online order pick up is a nightmare. They don't group orders together, which is a huge problem and completely unorganized. Also, the bookstore hours only open 9-5 which is super inconvenient for students who also work. I have to request time off of work to pick up anything.

  • Audrey Owlette

Really great bookstore for students at UNF to get their textbooks at. They are organized in how they provide books in a orderly fashioned. On the first floor they have souvenir type of items for you too buy and get, to really live out that UNF experience.

  • Crystal McCall

I called the bookstore and emailed for 1 week and still waiting for a call back or email regarding effolett. No one answers the phone, no one replies to email, no one does anything here but collect $10.00 an hr for work study. Just straight stupid!

  • Meily Ramos

Although prices are very high, the quality is completely worth it. Great UNF sweats, shirts, jumpsuits, etc. The upstairs also contains a book store for students to buy materials for each of their classes. Very friendly atmosphere

  • Nicole Beck

Needed something before class and there hours claim 8am but I was there around 9am on Monday and they were closed ... the women inside just took the sign saying they open at 8 down to! What a joke

  • Ash

Open more registers, provide services in a timely manner. I can never get books at the store because the lines are always extremely long and there’s only ever one register open. It’s ridiculous.

  • Brian Armbruster, MPA Candidate

Now the bookstore at UNF is managed by a private company, the overall service, customer service, and communications concerning deadlines, product availability, etc has declined (2019).

  • V Tuggle

It is run very efficiently. Because it is the beginning of term, the line snakes through the store. I was in line for about an hour. The students and staff were all very calm about it.

  • Felicia Scepidilionz

Expensive, always a line, and the "price matching" is actually just a rebate that you can only use in store, which is frustrating. Save your money and buy textbooks on amazon.

  • Jacob Southard

I have gone to school here for 2 years as a nursing student. I love the campus, faculty, and price. This is a very good school and the nursing program is second to none.

  • Jack Falcon

It's a college bookstore. Over priced with frequently new student staff. A recent laps in training led me to have to buy a book I rented. Their nice through.

  • Leslie Juvin-Acker

The UNF bookstore is well stocked with clothes, supplies for students, and gear for alumni. Its clean and easy to navigate. Thanks so much. Go Ospreys!

  • Patrick O'Neill

Some of the books are a little pricey. But other than that, the selection is great, the staff is friendly and the place has a comfy feel to it.

  • Albert Owen

Books were scattered from floor to floor, a little disorganized, but was able to find what I needed. Staff very helpful was the strong point.

  • Madeleine Powers

Convenient, has all the books I need, all UNF merchandise is extremely overpriced. Couldn't even really afford a hoodie if I wanted one.

  • Savageパンダ

Great customer service, good and easy access, only problem is it was hard to find the entrance, some signs directions would be nice

  • Lucas “JazzyLucas”

Good bookstore with two floors and great staff. School supplies, alumni decor, and all sorts of things. Very cool Kanye.

  • Kayla Densberger

Needs to get it together for Fall 2020. I understand the struggle but textbook demands dont just disappear.

  • Lori Kuhn-Hancock

One of the best college bookstores I 've been to. Great selection of merch and super friendly staff!

  • Doug Epps

Awesome place to grab some UNF attire. I really love the huge selection and the quality.

  • Arnessia King

I went in & out for the book I needed. The staff helped me get what I needed quickly.

  • Zsa Zsa Laing

Got my book. More costly than Amazon but less wait time . Long lines as expected.

  • Dinosaur

Has some good sodas and snacks but the books a bit more than if bought on Amazon

  • Anna

The employees are really helpful in trying to help you find the items you need.

  • Thomas Birmingham

Family Weekend 2017. Great school with a beautiful campus. Home of the Osprey!

  • Rasmus Haaland

Takes 1 day to deliver digital textbooks for some reason which is ridiculous.

  • Daniel Badger

Apparently the return policy is within 2 days. Buy your books somewhere else.

  • Julio Alvarado

Prices are expensive. Drop the prices on attire and students will buy more.

  • Marsha Lashal Maxwell

The UNF staff and teachers are great help with people who has disabilities

  • matthew caldwell

Great professors, large clean campus, a lot of things to do around campus

  • Marisa Garcia

The prices are high but they offer a wide variety of UNF merchandise.
