Dr. Dev killed a young healthy dog with no bite history because the "rescue" he supports wanted him to. This dog had people fighting to actually get him some help. The rescue provided no help, no training, no behavior modification,nothing!! If Draco started to display increased behavioral issues towards the end that is why! He was locked up in boarding for TWO months with no walks and no play time! Dr. Dev & staff, you all met Draco before Joan got her hands on him. He was a sweet and happy boy! If he changed after being completely neglected by TDRI, you should have asked some questions. Did you ask Joan for any proof that she actually did anything to try and help him? Did you ask for proof that the behaviourist actually said he should be euthanized? As a responsible vet clinic you should have done that instead of just killing him because Joan was worried that IF anything ever happened in the future that she MIGHT get sued. That is the only reason Joan wanted him dead despite what Joan has been saying. Draco had options. He had people stepping up for him. I myself provided a notarized affidavit that I would take all financial and legal responsibility for Draco, releasing TDRI of all responsibility and that I would get Draco the help that TDRI says they provide to their dogs but didn't provide for Draco... likely many other dogs who have ended up with TDRI have fallen victim to this as well. Shame on you for not doing your due diligence to ensure death was the only option for Draco. #JusticeForDraco

So as a background, my wife is a doctor and we have friends in the US who are vets. This is nothing against all vets, but this one is completely unfair. Two years in a row, we have gone here and he has ordered unnecessary blood work for our dog. Not only does he order random blood work, he doesn't even have the courtesy to show us the detailed bill before asking for payment. When you ask him to explain each item, he simply says "this was necessary." Finally when you ask him for the results of his physical examination, his response is "healthy dog." We're never going back. This is a dishonest vet. Just responding to the owner's response. Bottom line, my concern is not over what tests were ordered. As a "vet" you have an obligation to tell your owners/clients what you are doing to their pets before you do it. The fact that I dropped off our pet during covid for one request, and you came out 30 minutes later with a laundry list of blood work and did not bother to have the courtesy to step outside and tell me what you were doing first is ridiculous. Of course I would trust your judgment on what tests to run. I am not the specialists here, you are. The bottom line is learn how to communicate with your owners better, especially during a time when they cannot be in the room with their pets. It's pretty common sense and hopefully this serves as feedback for the future. We're pulling our pet from your care as I prefer to have someone who will actually tell us what they are doing before doing it.

Last month our dog cut his paw on a Friday afternoon around 4pm. We couldn't stop the bleeding and it clearly needed stitches. We called our vet but they had closed. We called the emergency vet in Burlington but they didn't open yet. A good friend suggested Dr. Dev at Fourth Line Animal Hospital - she knows him well because she works with rescues and he does a lot of work with rescue animals I called the clinic and explained the situation. They checked with Dr. Dev who immediately agreed to see our Milo. We went straight there and Dr. Dev an his staff stayed after closing on the Friday night of a long weekend to sedate Milo and stitch his paw. Very few people would extend themselves like this. Yet they didn't hesitate to help us out and they were all so kind. Dr. Dev called us after the procedure to tell us how it went and we were able to go right back and pick him up. We are so grateful to Dr. Dev and his staff for their wellness to help us out when the other clinics couldn't and for their kindness and and swift action. Can't thank them enough and would be happy to recommend them to others!

THEY CHARGED me $60 FOR LESS THAN ONE MINUTE SERVICE. Stay away from this dishonest and greedy business. I took my cat there for a rabies vaccine shot. They charged $45 for the rabies, $39 for FVCP and $60 for the so-called examination fee plus tax, in total $162.72. Dr. Dev just touched my cat for 10 seconds for the so-called examination, but charged me $60. Stay away from such dishonest business. Just a further response to your answer with lies: Your staff did not tell me the breakdown of the costs. She didn’t let me know there was $60 examination fee. This was a HIDDEN charge. You did NOT spend 15-20 minutes examining my cat in detail. You just touched him for less than one minute since he is an active three-year old healthy cat. YOU CHARGED $60 FOR LESS THAN ONE MINUTE SERVICE. This is the reality. This is a RIDICULOUS over-charge.

Dr. Dev has been our veterinarian since November 2003. Madison, now 9 years old, has always been shown great care and compassion by Dr. Dev, Stephanie and all staff. Ten days ago, Dr. Dev performed cruciate ligament surgery on Maddie's right hind leg. It's a difficult procedure and traumatic for the patient and family. I'm happy to report that both Stephanie and Dr. Dev walked me through the surgery and made themselves available through the ten days post surgery with patience and understanding, all the time putting Maddie's needs first. Today, just ten days after her surgery, Maddie walked into the office on all four legs to have her staples removed. Totally amazing! My deepest thanks to Dr. Dev, Stephanie and staff. Dr. Dev has been taking care of my two dogs since 2016 (one with the special needs), and I can't say enough good things about him. He pays close attention to my dogs and treats them with genuine care. He remembers my dogs' unique needs, takes the time to explain things clearly and involves me in decision-making process about dogs' treatment plan. Dr. Dev referred me to the holistic vet when I asked for the alternative treatment option to consider. His transparency is always appreciated. I have been taking my furbabies to Dr. Dev and the team at Fourth Line since 2012. I now live an hour away, but I refuse to find a new vet! During this time, I've had a pet develop seizures and cancer, one with a fatal heart condition, and a terrified rescue girl who has had all her teeth pulled and some minor health scares. Each, and everytime Dr Dev has been nothing but compassionate, knowledgeable and has always taken the time to help me weigh my options and answer my questions. I'm so thankful for him and his team for all their help over the years.

Dr Dev and staff are so welcoming! He is always so honest about treatments as my dog is always getting to some sort of trouble; always talking me through options, pros and cons. I cannot say enough about Dr.Dev and his caring staff. Dr.Dev has provided excellent pet care and guidance for our 6 furbabies over the past 21 years. He is an incredibly kind and knowledgeable man and has amassed a wonderful staff. From annual wellness checks, skin issues, heart issues, behavioural issues and making final decisions, Dr Dev has alway provided excellent care and guidance. I am grateful to have him as our vet. Dr. Dev is a wonderful veterinarian, and he and all of the staff at Fourth Line provided our dear old dog Troopie with excellent care. They were consistently so pleasant and helpful to us, and always treated our pet with kindness and compassion. They clearly cared about our dog and helped guide us to do what was best for her. Dr.Dev and the team are absolutely incredible. They are all so caring, loving, and truly have the best interest of the pets in mind. They are thorough, very educated, and are not pushy at all. Too expensive!! Charging for every detail ,and brief physical examinations of overall health that you will be charged for a big time. Always ending up with a huge bill to pay. Useless when problems with allergies. I got a better advice from the owner of the pet connection ,who saved us from my dog suffering, and big vet bills with simple food changes.

Great experience. We just moved to the area and decided to give this place a shot and we were very happy/ Staff are friendly and personable. Also there was no up-selling which is a big problem with many vets. The doctor was patient and friendly and explained eveything. I definitely recommend this place and will be returning in the future

Dr Dev has been our vet for approximately 12 years. He’s cared for most of our dogs from their first day with us to their last day with us. Thorough, kind, compassionate. The recent negative attack review from someone that knows nothing about this vet or clinic, really scraping the bottom of the barrel.
