My mother passed away while staying at my house. This was during Covid and when she passed we called French Funerals. It was about 11:30PM. Within 45 minutes 2 staff were at my house. They treated me my brother and my mother with such dignity. They explained everything as they took her and allowed time to say our last good-bye. From there, we called French Funerals and scheduled our appointment to make arrangements. I had never been through preparations on funerals much less for my mother. Sean from French's walked us through every step and helped us with everything my mother would have wanted. My brother and I walked out of there feeling very comfortable and were surprised at the knowledge, professionalism, personalism, time and care that Sean took with us. He allowed us to "introduce" him to my mother, who she was and the amazing impact and love that she had for others and that we had for her. It was difficult figuring out timing with funeral mass service and burial at the cemetery being that it was during Covid-19. Sean at French's helped us and reassured us that they would get her at the mass and at the burial and they did even though there was a delay in time that we could go to the cemetery for the burial. Every person we spoke to at French's, from leaving a message with the secretary made us feel as though we were important and every question mattered. The experience we had with French Funerals was nothing but positive. I am humbled and grateful for the time, effort and assistance they gave me at such a sad and devastating time.

Very unorganized, I felt like some of the staff not knowledgeable on procedures or not caring. I had to do the investigating on releasing my father’s body from the VA, I feel family members SHOULD NOT have to do this!!!!!! We were informed the only appointment available was four days after my father’s passing to speak with a funeral director, unacceptable for any grieving family that needs to make plans for out of state and out of country family to attend the funeral. We went in on a Monday to get a service date so we could plan the funeral and met the director two days later as scheduled. I brought clothes in when we met with a director, on that Wednesday, I received two texts on the weekend before the service asking me to bring clothes for my father. We decided to only have an obituary in the Long Prairie MN paper, my friend called and said the Albuquerque Journal had a very nice obituary for my father, an obituary we DID NOT WANT!!!!! I did write a text to the director who was assisting us on all my concerns. I realize it’s been a long, hard road with Covid making all of our lives difficult, but I feel after two years of Covid French’s should have all their procedures down to a fine science. In the end the service went well, I will have to think long and hard if anyone asks me to recommend a funeral facility for their lives one.

On the front, it started out like I was really going to get help. It turned out that my experience was with predators who took my money and gave me nothing. They took my money so fast just to tell me that I had no right to do anything and then while I was the one who paid for the Obituary as well, oh gee. What a surprise, they never mentioned me. They screwed up with the body as well. It was there more than two weeks and they didn't even bother to tell me. I found out when I did not receive the death certificates and then they had ME run around town trying to track them down when the love of my live was still at the funeral home all the time and nothing was done. Not only that but they donated my love to the museum of anthropology when I said I wanted it to go to a medical school. These people were predators and took advantage and I would NEVER recommend them to my family and I have already told them not to put me anywhere near these predators when my time comes. The love of my life is still in the refrigerator waiting to be pulled apart for parts because these people took advantage of someone grieving

If I could give 0 stars I would! The nightmare I am living due to a funeral director not reading their email is horrible and is delaying a burial that has been planned for 2 months. DO NOT USE and AVOID at all costs. Our fathers death certificate is still not correct and not having to get grandparents vital records to get it corrected. Emailed corrections were received by the director by email with in 24-30 hours of first meeting. Name was not changed- took 4 days to receive a phone call to say they needed more information. We requested our conversations to be VIA Email since all of us still have jobs and its difficult to speak on the phone. This has NEVER been done. Now almost 2 months since i lost my father I am have to replan a burial AGAIN out of town and for family to travel out of state to be at! This is a NIGHTMARE and I hope no one else has to go through!!! Also the reception we had was about 80 degrees inside and they couldn't get the air working

My experience with working with French Funerals and Cremations was exceptional. The Funeral Director, Shawn was pleasant to work with. He made the final steps to my husband's pre-arranged service an easy process. There were times that I had to email him to make corrections to the obituary, have advertisements removed from the obituary, had questions, or whatever was needing to be addressed. He would promptly take care of the matter with such professionalism. His assistant and the administration staff were just as attentive and what they were unable to assist me with, they would direct the issue to Shawn. My mother and family did pre-planning with French Funerals & Cremation. When the time came, everything was simple and easy to take care of her last wishes. The staff we so courteous and kind. They made a very painful process much easier to bear. Their hearts are truly in what they do. The respect shown to my mother and her family was beyond compare. I am sorry to say that I had to plan a funeral for a loved one and I cannot compare the extent of services that could or should be offered but I felt like we were just another number. It was a constant going between differnt people to get anything done. There is absolutly no comunication or coordination amongst the staff. I feel like Joel who was my contact person and coordinator dropped the ball on many occassions. After my experience with them I will not be returning to them for any further services, including my own funeral pre-planning. I will take my business elsewhere.

French did an amazing job handling our Mother's funeral. They anticipated and took care of all of our needs. Amanda was our funeral director and she did a fantastic job. My Mother's proactive planing, done with French several years ago, was a blessing and a huge benefit for us in being able to take care of all of her wishes. I highly recommend French Funerals and Cremations. I also highly recommend planning for your own personal funeral arrangements in advance, to help take some of the burden off of your family in their time of loss.

French Funeral Services recently provided all of the services required after the death of my wife. They were excellent in every aspect. The funeral director was caring, patient and knowledgeable. The Everything After service was particularly helpful in assisting in contacting and informing all of the agencies that have to be informed of a death. I have used French for every death that has happened in my immediate family and they have never disappointed me. I recommend them with out reservation.

I was thoroughly impressed with the entire staff at French Mortuary. They were compassionate, knowledgeable and professional. I felt valued as a customer who was in distress and was in mourning. They took the time to explain all of their services and procedures. At no time, did I feel ‘pressured’ to seek more involved funeral accoutrements. They continued to reach out to ascertain how my brothers and I are doing. They have been a comfort in a truly horrific time. Thank you.

Larry Conte and everyone we came in contact with at French worked hard to make everything go smoothly and seamlessly. From making the initial arrangements, to getting the obituary into the paper at the 11th hour, even the very last details wrapping up the experience, they were absolute professionals, yet personable and approachable. We will certainly go back to French when the need arises again, and recommend to friends in the meantime.

My family has used their services for several funerals and have always had outstanding results. The staff are very caring and helpful and have gone out of their way several times to help. Cesar was our Director and he explained everything to us. He took care of all details, working on a very tight schedule, he coordinated with Deanna B. At Sunset and with Pastor Alan and kept in close contact with us. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful thanks to Cesar, Pastor Alan, Deanna and the Sunset grounds team.

These guys are horrible. They are hosting a stand up comedy show at one of their locations. They harassed my mother with marketing mail when she got a cancer diagnosis, somehow they got that information evidently. No integrity, no dignity. Laugh away.

Joel was an amazing director. He had everything so under control from day 1 until the end, I almost felt as if I wasn't doing enough. He made a time of grief very easy and very respectable. I appreciate everything Joel and French's did for us.
