Nice older women run this place most of the time that I've been there. They are very quick to assist you and anything you need. Some may think the staff is raising their voice at them slightly. This isn't the case though. As I said they're older women and they want to make sure that they speak clear so they don't have to repeat themselves over and over like they have to with some customers who just don't seem to get it the first or the second time. I respect them and they are very helpful here. I have two dogs and both of them owe their lives to these two and their expertise. My pups are healthy and very happy though they hate the annual shots I give them from here. If only they knew, it's why they can go out in public and play with other dogs without having to worry about dying from some illness. I wouldn't want to deal with that kind of tragedy and felt I almost did. My puppy ate something that later led to a vet visit. It almost killed her or at least looks like it almost killed her. Whatever it was mimicked the lethargy of parvo but lacked all the other symptoms. The Vets weren't sure and just wanted to medicate even though I told them the pup got better as the hours passed. This was after 7 hours of worrying and the pup actually passing out with her tongue at her side. Must have been something she ate outside. After 7 hours her stomach bloated slightly first up top then the bloating went lower, she pooped, and then she got better. After that scare, I flew to the feed store and made sure I got her 9 and 1s so that I wouldn't have to worry about her catching something that would mimic this activity but, kill her instead of it passing and puppy getting better. Please make sure your shots are current with your pets. Please make sure if you don't go to this place to get your shots and do it yourself, that you go to a service provider or, make sure the store you buy it from keeps the shot kits in the refrigerator at the proper temperature. Otherwise, you could be giving them a shot for nothing since, they are temperature sensitive and must be kept cold until Administration. Thank you, Gordon's Feed and Seed.

1st saturday of the month they have a vet clinic where they administer rabies shots and other vaccines at a reasonable cost. It was quite a wait. They stop taking names at 11a I got there at 10a and I believe we were home by noon. So not too bad. I only needed 2 shots one for each of my dogs it cost me 50 bucks. That is a far cry from the 120 it might cost at the veterinarian. The people were great. Gordons Feed has more than just food. What ever you need for your pets and livestock. its not a pretty sterile "pet smart" where you can take your dog to escape the heat and walk around for an Hour. Its a very small display room but if you ask the staff for what you need they will probably have it in the back somewhere. If not they will surely know where you can go to find it. I like this place. They seem to be busy while they are open but still very personable and kind.

This store is fantastic, well worth the drive. They have just about everything you could ever need for any sort of animal, domesticated pets or farm animals. They had a wide range of different baby chicks, properly labeled, and with prices clear. Prices are reasonable, and animals appear healthy. The gentlemen working the front desk was courteous and helpful, assisting multiple customers at one time. He was helping a couple with some sort of dog related issue, and was extremely patient with her multitude of questions. I know sometimes it’s easier to find a big chain store, with an extensive website, and multiple locations; but supporting small business like this one means you’re supporting someone’s livelihood and their families, rather than making the big guys richer. We will definitely be back the next time we need chicks.

Gordon's feed is a nice family-owned business they are open Monday through Saturday which is a plus because sometimes I just run out of chicken feed on the weekends. Then I have to feed my chickens from out of my cabinets. I've been beating the bushes trying to find white leghorns or brown leghorns and other breeds that lay white eggs. And to no avail I couldn't find any. So I call Gordon's Feed and ask them if they have any chicks that will be white egg laying hens. They went ahead and told me when they would be receiving chicks that lay white eggs and I went in bought four chicks and I'm a happy camper now. My husband eats 3 eggs a day. And it's getting expensive. And he refuses to eat blue, brown, or kinda egg that isn't white Thank you Gordon's for having an excellent selection of everything all year around.

I have come to count on Gordon's Feed for all sorts of pet and livestock supplies. Mary's advice is the reason I've been successful with free range chickens since 1997. The store also sells baby chicks. Recently I noticed one of my cats had an upper respiratory infection, and Gordon helped me immensely. Gordon is the grandson of Mary and her late husband Gordon who opened the store decades ago. The cat was better inside if a week because of his advice Mary and Gordon have been willing to special order feed and farm supplies that they don't normally stock. They are two of the most cheerful and honest people I know. I prefer to shop where the owners are on site, and so should you. l've never been in one of the big box livestock supply chains run by corporations.

Our family has been going to this feed store for decades. These people go above and beyond, care about their customers, and have knowledge that I trust over anyone else. Friendly, and amazing service every time that you can't hardly find anywhere anymore. This is by far the best feed store in the entire valley, and I guarantee you won't be dissapointed with their products, animals, or service. If you have questions, they are more than happy to help. If you need recommendations, they are honest. They do not try to up sell anything, rather they make sure you are happy, and have what you need. That alone speaks volumes. I love these people and what they do. I will go here as long as I live here. : )

I've been buying my chickens and their feed here for the past four years. They have always gone above and beyond to give advice - which I truly appreciated when I was new to keeping chickens. I don't think it's fair to expect a small family-owned business to be able to compare price-wise to larger volume stores, and I think the friendly service more than makes up for a small price difference. They have always been super-friendly with a genuine "customer-service" attitude. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my chicks or feed.

I went to Gordons feed shop today and I was so happy for all the help I received from staff and great prices. They made a dreadful situation very easy for me... I had to get shots for my dogs and administer them. Now I know alot of folks out there know how to, but alot of us dont have a clue. Believe me they will get you through it with flying colors. There prices are super good if you like good dog foods to. And if your dog need rabie shots......cheap! Call and ask about it.

It has a good variety of food for all sorts of animals but it's a little pricy. I was looking for a dog stroller but they didn't have any and bought my doggie some snacks that were on sale but she didn't like them. That was the most inexpensive thing at that store and was $5 bucks everything else was over the top but they do have hay and other stuff to feed horses and other farm animals besides dog and cat food and some pet supplies but not what I was looking for.

Love this pet store. The owner Gordon is a real cool guy who loves animals. He's very informed and offers great suggestions. Their store in South Phoenix carries all kinds of dog food and dog supplies. They even have baby chicks and horse supplies. Stop by and get something for your best friend and stop buying at the big box pet stores who don't care about animals. I'll be coming back to Gordon's for my dog food for the foreseeable future.

I was buying different types of dog food because my dog had a sensitive stomach. Then I decided to go to Gordon's feed because it was close to my house. The gentleman there asked me what I was giving my dog and showed me several alternatives. I tried one of the options and my dog loved it more that the expensive stuff from petco. I gave my dog Rukkus the food he loved best from Gordon's feed until he passed away in December '15 at age 15.

Advance U Preschool and Elementary began a baby chick project so our students can study the life cycle of a chicken. We received an incubator and more eggs than we had room for so we headed over to Gordon's and he kindly cared for the extra eggs. Today, our chicks are hatching and Gordon provided us with FREE feed and graciously offered to take the chicks once they all hatch! Thank you Gordon for supporting our school!

The owner is always in there she's a very nice lady she's very helpful all you have to do is ask her where something is and she tells you she helps you her grandson is a very helpful young man it's just all-around good store to go to from Feed and Seed they sell Birds they sell chickens they sell everything that you need for a farm horses cows chickens they have all that kind of feed that you need

A big, reasonably priced pet store is right across the street from me! I recommended that you get some dog toys for my dogs. I was impressed with how politely and professionally your team handled my inquiries. The store's height astounded me, as did the way it smelled. What a fantastic pet shop, without a doubt the best in the world! It's undeniably delicious!

Last week I found out my 3 month puppy had parvo. This store was recommended to me and I'm glad I came. My puppy is doing great! In just 4days and with all the meds that were recommended, she is eating drinking and acting like her self again . I am VERY GRATEFUL to them as I was told my puppy had a week at most. This is a great place to get dog food and bones etc. The food is so much better for my dogs. And they love it plus they stay fuller longer. The people at Gordon's are very nice and down to earth. The store has an old-time feel to it. Which has it's appeal. I'm going to keep getting my dog food from Gordon's feed in central PHX. They are good people!

The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. When I couldn't get my GSD into a vet for under 190 for an abscess above her eye the gentleman (I assume to be the owner) gave me exactly what she needed and He was 100% better within a week. I love this place and the people that run it...I had vets shame me for administering my puppies shots myself, but they reassured me it was completely fine. I've brought my puppies to the clinic that shows up to the location every so often, so I have no doubt in my mind that they garuntee their products 100%.

They sell all the vaccines you will need for your dog. They are inexpensive and easy to administer. They also have a vet come in once a month and charge a very low price so that low income families can take their pets in to be seen by the vet. I love this place. The staff is also very friendly.

I made the mistake of not shopping/calling around - they sold me Durvet Ivermectin paste for $20 a box - when other local feed stores are selling it for $11.99 and online for $7.99. SMH - don't come to this place unless you want to be ripped off!!!

Very friendly and fun. I have only ever going through the drive-thru and they are always so fast and efficient. This time I went with my mom and we went inside and it's really neat inside, I would say it's a must go inside if you get the chance.

We get everything for our chickens here. They are very helpful and answer all of our questions. We are new to chickens but they have been amazing! They also have very reasonable prices and a drive thru so you can get your feed quick!

Good place for all the feed needs for your critters, large is small. Also baby chicks, ducks and rabbits are often available. If you need bird seed or broccoli seed they will fill your need.
