If I could give them 0 star I definitely would! Overall very disappointed by their customer service and their service in general. My move was booked with them for a while. First of all, they have « passed the job » to a third party last minute without even telling them any details about my move. So Obviously the third party was not properly equipped for the move and they ended up canceling on me because they had another job and they didn’t want to be late to their other one because no one told them in the first place that my move was going to take a long time. That’s ok, I get it and it’s not their fault. So I call Get Movers and I let them know that the team has left my appartement with my furnitures in the parking lot. This guy told me his manager would call me back in 5 minutes. 45 minutes later, I call again, and the same guy is like : oh he never called you? Me: no he never did and I’m still waiting in the parking lot with my appliances that they left outside and …… did not even had the time to finish my sentence because this guy hung up on me. Disappointed and upset. In the meantime, my family and friends started to pack our cars with the boxes that we could fit, called my friend’s mom who has a pick up truck to come and pack her truck with small appliances. I called again, told me he would try and find another team for my move. Anyways, family and friends ended up helping me move most of my stuff, Get Movers had still not called me back with a new team on their way. At this point, only things left were my fridge, stove, working desk and dishwasher. Get movers finally called me and told me a new team would come and help me, but it would be 190$/h, minimum of 3hour block. I told them that would not work, because it would certainly not take them 3 hours to move 4 items and I’ve asked if there would be another solution giving the circumstances. Also their rate was higher than when i first booked my move. Told me they would call me back again. I ended up calling them 1hour or so later, and asked them for a reimbursement of my 150$ deposit since no service was provided and I had to move my stuff alone with my family and friends. The same guy told me once again they would call me back because he had to call Operation. 1hour later, I called again to see what’s happening with my reimbursement and it goes straight to voicemail. I thought they might be busy and they would call me later as they told me they would. Still today, a week from my move, no one called me for my reimbursement. I am very disappointed, they did not seem to care for their customer, and I am lucky I had people who could help me because if not, I would still be waiting for the second team in my parking lot with my furnitures lol. Worst moving company ever, worst customer service, I would definitely not recommend if you are a young woman to book with them since they don’t take you seriously and they will take your money even though they did not provide any service.

Last weekend I moved from a two bedroom apartment to a townhouse. I spoke ahead of time to the sales rep, asked questions and the pricing, as there are stairs an requested a quote sent by email, not just over the phone so I could have all the info. Two days before they called and confirmed what furniture we had and the stairs again. The quote was for $525 for 3 hours. The movers arrived just over an hour late, they immediately complained about the one flight of stairs and said "it'll cost more". I informed them I had already told the company and there were more stairs at the townhouse. They seemed to get tired before the loading was done. I was helping bringing boxes out of the apartment and to the top of the stairway. They took a 30 minute lunch break and then drove the 10 min to the new place. They were really upset about all the stairs and said that GetMovers should have booked 3 movers, not 2 and that they screw them over just to make a sale. I had empathy and suggested they bring everything to the main floor and I brought it up to the next floor with the bedrooms. One of them was struggling very bad and had to stop quite a bit. They got sloppy, throwing things and dragging boxes. They ended up breaking my TV, some of my glasses and caused minor damages to our new place, like scratches on the floor and breaking a light switch. The move took about 5.5 hours. They calculated the new total with fees for extra time and stairs which was just under $1200 (my deposit included). They asked me to write my credit card on a piece of paper for them to charge it later. I refused, as this is not safe or proper storage of their customers information (honestly illegal) and said I would pay on the phone, like I had my deposit. They didn't acknowledge the broken TV or offer anything even though we showed them. And they would not leave until they knew the full payment was made. It was very uncomfortable and awkward. I wanted to be able to talk to someone about what happened, but I had these two very tired men in my livingroom telling me they won't leave till I pay, despite the company already having my credit card info. So I paid. I have emailed 3 times with photos asking to be called , no answer. Called, no answer. So here I am. I knew the move would cost more than originally quoted but double is crazy, plus my broken 55 inch TV. It was the worst experience moving I've ever had. I had to help, pay double, be uncomfortable in my new home and get left with broken belongings and no accountability from GetMovers.

I had a great experience from start to finish with Get Movers. I was moving to a new place and had done most of the moving with some friends and a U-Haul. I was having trouble finding someone to move my piano and didn’t want to just put it in the hands of someone from Kijiji as it’s my most prized possession. I had a good first impression after finding Get Movers on Google. Their website looked professional, and I was served immediately through both the chat and a phone call. It was a welcomed break from having to leave voicemails. The customer service rep on the phone asked the right questions, and the movers did all the work preparing for the move including measurements and pictures. They showed up in uniforms, and I liked how well prepared they were, bringing all the right equipment. They had it at my new place fairly quickly, and on the lower end of the spectrum as to how much moving a piano should cost. Not a scratch and still in tune. Highly recommend.

These guys were really helpful during my move from Ottawa to Quebec. I was surprised how they took care of the job - I booked them for 10am, but they called me at 8am and asked if it's okay to arrive earlier. I said yes and in 30 minutes they were at my residence. Didn't even finish my breakfast! They started working immideatly and their crew leader, Habib, was really professional. Turns out, he is in moving business for more than 9 years and that strengthened my confidence. His guys were done with disassembling and loading in 3 hours, and we hit the road, I was leading and the truck was behind me. In 5 hours or so they were already unloading my stuff at my new house. Not a single scratch on our furniture. So it was a long day, but they did everything possible to make it easier for me and my family. GetMovers are really good, at least if we are talking about their Ottawa branch.

Hello out there, This moving company sucks. If i can give a negative 0 i will. We hired them last February 12 and they are slow as turtle as they talked more than working . My husband and i even helped because we can’t afford to pay their own playing time. Booked at 9 arrived by 11. Paid by hours so they controlled their time. They damage our furnitures and when i contacted the office by phone, tex and email, no one responded and today i spoke to someone and hang up the phone on me. Very disrespectful, rude and un responsible company to work with. They just want your money, that’s it that’s all. They don’t care after get paid. I don’t recommend this company as their workers aren’t careful and aware. They send you either a young kid or elderly. It’s awful.

I don't like giving negative reviews, but in this case I'm really left with no choice. If you read the reviews on Getmovers you would think they are great. That's what we thought, until the actual day of the move. The movers showed up 35 minutes late, put dents and a scratch in our old home's basement stairwell wall, broke our living room table's glass in two, punctured our wall unit, stained our couch, chipped our dresser in two places, got lost for an hour and tried to charge us for it, actually charged us for extra it's head office didn't inform us about and made us pay cash for it. In the 5 days since our move, we have had no response from them regarding replacing our glass/repairing our wall, or any of the other damage.

This company truly made the moving process a breeze. They were extremely responsive when it came to organizing the move and gave simple and clear instructions. They packed all of our belongings and used protective blankets and wraps to ensure items were transported correctly. The were very efficient in the way that they did it and everything arrived safely and was put in the correct spot. They also assembled and d assembled our furniture faster than we could ever. Thank for you help and professionalism. We know who to call if we ever move again!

We moved from Ottawa to Toronto with Get Movers, and it was really seamless experience! They were a bit late, but it was due to a last minute crew change to give us a bigger truck, so it wasn't a problem for us at all. The entire team was so kind and easy to work with. Showed up two hours late and I had to get a storage unit because of condo rules. Wad scheduled for 10am but they called and moved the time to the afternoon. No explanation, no response to my email, no discount. I had to hire different guys to move me from the storage unit to my apartment. Total cost to move 20 min was 1600. I'm a single widow with a limited income and felt like I was taken advantage of.

The moving team was diligent in their handling of my belongings, taking great care to wrap and secure each item. Throughout the entire process, I felt confident that my possessions were in good hands. I also appreciate the communication provided by the company.
