I don't know if I have ever been so insulted by a commission based sales person in my life, especially right when walking in the door. I purposely did not go back to find out this gentleman's name so I didn't put him on blast. For Havertys purpose though I will say that he has a European Spanish accent. We came in with a specific sectional that we had looked at on the website which fit the shape we are looking for and wanted to see what it was like in person. He immediately told us that they only have that model on the floor in the stores near colleges like Lubbock or College Station because they are really only meant for dorm rooms. We couldn't even get away from him, he just kept talking and inferring that it was too cheap of a couch to be on the sales floor in this location. One of the reasons we wanted to check it out is because it sounded like it would be more durable and hold it's shape to last through teenage years unlike the big cream sectional (the very first thing you see walking in the store) that had lumpy misshaped cushions and pillows. Needless to say we won't be purchasing furniture from here, I guess it serves me right for only going to Havertys based off funny commercials they don't even run anymore.

Eric Thompson at the William Cannon, Austin store was wonderful. I highly recommend him. The store, quality furniture and customer service is a cut above other furniture stores we visited. My elderly mother was shopping for a new bed. Eric provided just the right amount of support in the showroom. He walked us around, oriented us to the store and items of interest and then let us look and think, checking in with us every now and then. Once we made our decision, he was quick to set up the order and get the transaction done and get us out the door. Additionally, he was aware and considerate of my mother’s disabilities and provided appropriate accommodations and support. After the purchase, we had an issue. We called Eric. He was very helpful, assisting us through the entire exchange process. During multiple calls, he was always professional and courteous, explaining return/exchange policies and clearly setting expectations. He and his manager went out of their way to assist us. We will definitely be repeat customers and refer friends and family. This review is long overdue, and by long I mean 6 years. When we bought our house 6 years ago we were furniture hunting and we went to Haverty's among other stores. Long story short, we ended up buying all our furniture from them. Our sales associate was Doug Hancock. He was very helpful and never rushed on anything. He was patient, knowledgeable and had many helpful suggestions. On the day of our delivery he went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. Since then we have shopped at Haverty's two more times including this month. On this delivery originally it was scheduled for June 17 which was fine with us, but when an earlier delivery spot opened up, he proactively called to ask if an earlier date was fine and got us the furniture 2 weeks sooner. Doug has always been helpful and goes above and beyond. Every time we are looking for furniture, we do go to other stores to look around. But at the end of the day, we buy from Haverty's because we know that with Doug, we will get good price and great service.

Liza Serrano has been a tremendous resource for us as we’ve been working on refreshing our home! We’ve been trying to find furniture and decor for over a year. She got Courtney (designer) involved. They came to our home, took measurements & pictures, learned what was important to us, which things we wanted to keep and incorporate and then gave us a beautiful layout, several options for sectionals, chairs, tables, rugs and accessories. They allowed us to play around with different leather and fabric choices in the layout so we could really envision what our room would look like. It was so refreshing to have well-thought out options and the ability to see it all together. No pressure, just answers to my (many!) questions & when we were ready, quick ordering to take advantage of the Thanksgiving sale! Thank you, Liza! We really appreciate all your help!

This store has an excellent selection of home furnishings. We worked with two different customer service personnel on two occasions. Carolina and the first visit and Bonnie on the second. Both were outstanding and we like that they share the recognition when the person you start out with is not available on a later visit. Both were very good at establishing what our personal tastes were and pointing out products we would be interested in. Both dedicated there full attention to satisfying our needs and providing all pertinent information about the products and services the company offers. Their use of computer displays to help us visualize the appearance of various materials and finishes was excellent. This was our first experience with Havertys Furniture and we cannot imagine a more satisfying customer service experience.

I purchased dining furniture and a lovely, cloth recliner from Haverty's six years ago. My salesperson, Doug Hancock, was so helpful then that I asked for him when I returned on 5/9/20 to purchase a leather recliner. I was greeted warmly by a salesperson and when I asked to speak with Doug, she quickly located him in the store for me. He and I worked to find the perfect recliner. Even with the delays because of the store being closed with the Stay at Home order, I was able to schedule delivery of the chair before the end of the month. I plan to shop there again soon for bedroom furniture. The Haverty's showroom is so well laid out and the furniture is beautiful and well-made. Staff are so courteous and helpful. I highly recommend the products and customer service of the Haverty's at Arbor Trails in Austin, TX.

Good selection - poor communication We were in the market for a bigger couch, and we ended up liking the selection at Haverty's. They had two couches that fit our needs, and they were pretty customizable to fit our space. It was relatively easy to order from them, although we were pressured a little bit to look at matching rugs. We were given a delivery range for 4-6 weeks - paid, and didn't hear anything. At 5 weeks from our purchase, I called to see when they were coming - only to be told that the order had been placed on backorder and wouldn't be there for another month at the earliest. If I hadn't called, no one would have reached out to me. We were pleased with the shopping experience... but the shipping/post-purchase communication will cause us to chose another vendor in the future.

Doug was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and helpful when we worked with him to furnish several rooms in our house. His suggestions were great, he never tried to hard-sell us on expensive items, and he was remarkably sensitive to our comments, tastes, and interests. Courtney, the designer who worked with Doug, was also sensitive to our needs, flexible when we had changes in our plans, and always willing to provide very clear CAD design images of the spaces for which she did her designs. Basically, we've had a great experience with both Doug and Courtney. We're expecting delivery next week and, in spite of the supply chain delays most furniture suppliers are experiencing right now, our delivery is right on-schedule. Our experience with Haverty's had been outstanding.

Misty was very helpful and knowledgeable. She listened to what we wanted in a recliner and quickly brought us to the area of the store where we could evaluate all the many choices. Unfortunately, the color and specific recliner we decided to purchase will take 14 weeks to deliver. One negative, even after pointing out that our apartment number was missing from the delivery section of our order and told by the cashier that it was corrected, the paper and digital copies still do not include an apartment number. I have since established a MyHaverty's account and my address including apartment number is listed there. My apologies to the cashier. She made the changes as I requested. My mistake, sorry. As a result, I changed my rating to 5 stars.

Update! We got the problem fixed. Update! FYI, I did call Rebecca Stevens and left a message but never heard back! I wish you would take care of the problem as quickly as your response to reviews. Just responding alone will not fly anymore. Show me you stand by your products and fix it!! I bought a dresser table from them and right away it was installed improperly and the paint on the mirror was scraped. I filed a complaint and they came back and fixed it. Less than a month one of the drawers got stuck and can’t open and close it smoothly. I called them again and filed a complaint. It’s been over a month and they keep telling me they have to order parts!!! Very frustrating. Don’t recommend this place.

We made a large purchase of the Jamestown dining table with hutch. The items were delivered damaged and defective. They made 3 deliveries, each time they delivered the items damaged or defective. On the third time without success, they said they would now have to deliver to the store and I would need to pick up there. They said it was obvious to them that the items were being damaged during transport. The customer service was bad and the sales rep was terrible. I ended up canceling the order and they picked up all the items. The store manager never called to apologize for service. I have been a loyal customer and will no longer shop at Haverty's. If I could give them zero starts i would.

My wife and I went to Havertys, Austin for a rare chance that we might find a wine cabinet similar to what we are about to have special made from a local wood shop. We really hate going into furniture stores bc most sales people are pushy. But Havertys was different. Sheila Glaab approached us and upheld one of the most professional sales perspectives I have experienced. She was patient and really let my wife and I just browse. And despite allowing us browse, she checked back on us twice and had superb insight to answer our questions. We went in for a wine cabinet and bought a power recliner. It was a nice addition to our house, but Sheila was a huge part of the sale.

I rarely leave bad reviews but, unfortunately, bought a very poorly made sectional from Havertys (see photos). On the positive side, the salesman was nice and the store was clean and organized. However, the craftsmanship of the sofa I purchased was of a very low quality, and after a few months the seams started splitting everywhere. This was surprising as it has been very lightly used (household of 2). The extended warranty I purchased for “peace of mind” did not cover any of the damage for reasons that were not at all clear. I would have thought that a company as reputable as Havertys would stand behind the quality of their products but this has not my experience.

Dear Haverty's Furniture, and the general public, this Review is from someone who does a lot of research before shopping, doesn't particularly "like" to shop, and is an admitted "hard sale" mostly due to the "salesman" attitude -also- I rarely purchase on the first visit. This experience however, with Archie Belton was exceptional. His greeting, attentive service, active listening and ability to answer ALL my questions really caught my attention. He was pleasant, professional, capable and accommodating. He is a person who deserves my business! And all this, backed by Haverty's quality, is real winning combination. Thank you Haverty's and Archie Belton. 5 Stars!

I ordered a product from sales department at Haverty's. I had difficulty dealing with my credit union visa card. I had to call them, because my purchase would not go through. I told credit union I would ask billing at Haverty's to try to send the bill through because I could not get a response from credit union. She said she would make some kind of adjustment. The ladies in billing ran my purchase through without difficulty. I appreciate my sales lady and the two in billing with whom I dealt via phone. All patient, kind, and helpful. All the furniture's here looked very royal. I was looking to purchase a bed frame with box spring and nightstand. They had variety of choices on display. Their products are slightly priced higher but each furniture was of higher quality compared to any other store. Also the sales advisor Carolina was really friendly and was patiently answering all my questions. She also helped me with 0% APR financing option. I would definitely recommend this store if you don't mind spending little extra for much higher quality.

I looked at a sectional a year ago. I decided to buy it this week. The manager was so helpful and I got to pay for it without coming to the store! I love that. Its a long trip for nothing for me. Just wanted to say the manager helped me in behalf of the sales person I talked with a year ago. I respect that since I was in sales my whole life. He was so professional and knowledgeable . I loved the positive and informative assistance I received. It made the sale happen rather than choosing other stores.

Purchased several pieces of furniture here. The sales associate was very friendly, had the information we needed, and new their inventory. Good selection of pieces to choose from and they have catalogs for items that may not be on the floor while you are there. Delivery is reasonable fast but some items had to be ordered and that took a little extra time. Delivery people were friendly and careful not to scuff floors or the item, which is a nice change from other delivered items we have had.

Watch out for their warranty. I Purchased a couch/recliner that stopped working after 18 months. Supposedly moving parts have a 3 year warranty. But because it was an electrical issue… it is only a one year warranty. I checked other furniture manufactures and a one year warranty for this issue is probably one of the worst in the industry. Sales people are nice, but this this couch is not holding up well and unless you purchase their extended warranty… you can be out a lot of money.

She also told us all about the complimentary design consultant appointment we can take advantage of, which will be super helpful to visualize where this furniture would fit in our new home build. Your sales rep and designer, Misty, did an excellent job in listening and understanding what we were looking for in a sofa. She showed us the inventory that matched the product we were seeking, explained the different choices in terms of price point, quality, durability and value, and then gave us some time to walk around the store while we contemplated our options. She was very knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. She made the purchase a pleasant experience.

We have been buying furniture from Haverty’s for 30 years. They have great quality products and a knowledgeable but not pushy staff. We worked with Jaime on our first time in the store and Doug the second time as it was Jaime’s day. If you go to the William Cannon store in Austin ask for one of these guys by name and you won’t be disappointed. Looking forward to receiving our new sofa and I am sure we will be extremely happy. Furniture Purchasing Made Easy Havertys makes it easy to get great furniture at a great price. I entered the store at 4:00 PM on a Saturday afternoon and within 15 minutes I was working with a designer who used a cool application to show me a scale drawing of exactly what my space will look like with the different options available. She helped me pick the right piece and I was on my way within 45 minutes. Doesn't get any easier or more personalized than that.

Our visit to Haverty's was a great experience! Misty met us at the door and the encounter was thoroughly pleasant and enjoyable. She was very knowledgeable and guided us through our selections with a decorator's eye for color. She asked to see photos of the room and of the rug the sofa was to sit on so she could help us find complementary colors. Thank goodness she was there! All the while she made the entire experience fun - we totally enjoyed it.

Havertys is an excellent option for medium to upper-level furniture that will last. The sales staff is very knowledgeable with assisting you in several aspects of interior design. I like to go about once a year to check out the new selection. The showroom is a step above the rest in town. Havertys is definitely worth the money. I like this location since it is conveniently located next to Costco and whole foods in the Arbor trail shopping center.

This was the WORST experience I have ever had with a furniture company, and overall business for that matter. Lacked professionalism, lied about the return policy, and had zero help from support. Not only did they lie about the return policy, but the delivery service was appalling. Furthermore, they refunded my credit to THE WRONG CC! How does that even happen? I urge everyone to NEVER so business with this company. It was an absolute NIGHTMARE.

Mr. Hudson (my apologies, I can't remember if his first name is Doug or John) was immediately able to show me three sectionals that would meet my needs. He was not pushy when he clarified when in 2021 I would potentially be purchasing the sectional, even when I said 3rd or 4th quarter. Nor did he try to sell me on anything else. Thank you. Very similar to how Colleen and I worked together when I purchased my couch from her earlier in the year.

After a not great salesman at another furniture store the day before, it was refreshing to have such a positive experience with Doug Hancock. He was incredibly engaging and confident and was available without hovering. Shauna helped me a ton this past month, and has been the friendliest and most informative sales associate I've met in forever! My dad outfitted his whole house in Haverty's and it all seemed very high quality and sturdy, so I didn't see any reason not to do the same. maybe not all the way but I did get my new bed and sectional from them. Very reccomended if you want quality on the interior as well as exterior. You get what you pay for!

Love the furniture selection. I’ve bought a few pieces of furniture before from Doug but this is the first time I took advantage of the designer service. Doug is so easy going and not pushy at all. Blake did an amazing job. I gave him the room measurements and he designed the furniture and decor. He listened to the colors I like, style and budget. There is no need to spend money on a decorator. Blake created a presentation with the rug, tables, lamps, decor. I highly recommend going to Haverty’s. I shopped all over Austin to find furnishings for our family room, great service and prices.

She also, demonstrated the stain resistant fabric treatment which we asked about as we were concerned about fabric stains by spills. Good place. We drove all over Austin looking for Furniture and ended up here. They have a great selection of furniture plus you can custom order, which we did. Our sales consultant was great (Misty). Eric was very helpful with our mattress purchase. He was available to answer all our questions, made some recommendations, and then gave us some space so we could take our time testing out mattresses. Eric periodically checked on us, but never did he hover the way many sales associates tend to do.
