DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER! I made a reservation the day before arrived early for pick up. Several people waiting. They were telling everyone there were no cars available...but they were renting to a select group of people who had government contracts with the facility. They had a list of people who they were renting...and they told me they couldn't find my rental reservation even though I provided a confirmation number and showed my email confirmation they kept telling me it would be a wait because they were renting to the people on the list first. They asked me to wait and they would try to fit me in. I waited over 2 HOURS. During that time I saw them rent out 8 vehicles... everytime I stepped up and asked about renting to me they kept saying no cars available. Eventually after I saw the 8th car was rented out another lady who had been waiting said I think you should take her first she's been waiting awhile. The agent "Dante" asked me to step outside. He informed me that he had a contractual agreement and I was not a "priority" because I wanted to rent for personal reasons. That I could continue to wait but he wasn't going to have a vehicle available "for me". He was extremely unprofessional. Lacked anything in resemblance to proper customer service. I called customer service, they had no issues pulling up my reservation, they modified my reservations to go back and rent from the same location...AT A HIGHER RATE....even after I explained the poor customer service I just received...they told me to back and try my luck... I asked to be transferred to a supervisor...which suggested the exact same thing at an EVEN HIGHER RATE and a much much further location...Finally got another customer service supervisor on the phone and was able to get a vehicle from another location...At the same rate...which I had to walk to. The agent treated me horribly. And was VERY discriminative. Offered NO solutions and showed NO empathy. I noticed he told everyone who came in without a government contract that no cars were available...WHICH WAS ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE!!! I reached out to the area manager and still have yet to receive any type of response. Please provide your employees with a customer service class or find new ones!!! NEEDLESS to say I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION and I will tell everyone of my HORRIBLE experience here.
Unprofessional. Unhelpful. Rented from this location through an insurance claim for an accident I was not deemed at fault. 1. No one answers the phone. Good luck trying to reach them to confirm anything regarding your reservation. When I did call and requested an 8am pick up (because I have to get to work..) I was told to come around 8:30am to give people time to get in and setup… ok… 2. When I arrived to pick up my rental, all of the staff present, 3 persons, seemed unbothered or uninterested. No greeting, no how can I help you… 3. Some of the staff were on a conference call with the speaker on… 4. While working through the rental agreement, I was told I had to pay a daily rate for insurance. When I specifically asked what my options were to avoid the $15.99 charge per day for potentially 6 weeks (42 days, $672-ish) I was given two options, another insurance rate of $14.99 per day which was quickly shut down as I was told it’s no longer offered; the second option was to have multiple short term rentals (I travel for work) to minimize the days I had the rental and therefore reducing the number of days I would be paying for insurance. At no point in time did any of the 3 persons behind the desk inform me that I had the option of using my own auto insurance in place of their insurance. After paying, unfortunately, I then learned that using my own auto insurance was an option. When I questioned the agents about this, they were fully aware but told me “it was too late” because I had already paid and that the contract was already agreed to. I was then advised that I could opt for this the next time I rented from them… meaning that information was intentionally withheld from me, even when pointedly asked for other insurance options. As a Presidents Circle member with Hertz, not only was the customer service extremely poor and lacking, the fact that information was intentionally withheld to make a profit says enough.

Not sanitized at all WASN’T EVEN OFFERED ANY TYPE OF CLEANING SUPPLY 4. Requested another car — claimed to have been the only 1 they had available 5. Seats were covered with stains - 6. Car smelled like mold …!!!! 7. We reserved a car at this location several days in advance, to be picked up at 10:00 AM today. Arriving at 9:50 AM, we were told that they had no cars available and that they wouldn't have any for at least an hour. We indicated to the associate at the counter that we were on a time table and that waiting an indeterminate amount of time was not a workable solution for is. The employees was unapologetic, and suggested that we call other Hertz locations ourselves in order to find a vehicle. It has now been two hours and they still do not have a vehicle available, nor have they called to update us on when we might expect one. Note that throughout this exchange, both we and the associate remained cordial, so there was no reason for them to be willfully unhelpful. They just simply didn't care that they had failed to live up to their commitment. I would have expected that if by some mischance they did not have a vehicle available, they could have at least called us ahead of time to save us a trip.
BEWARE OF THE CUSTOMER NO SERVICE HERE! 0 stars. My wife reserved a mid size car and was giving a ford focus. The lady said it was a mid size car. I disagreed and her only answer was to upgrade me for an additional charge to a Nissan ROUGE (what she say is a SUV). I mention that the upgrade should not have been a charge since I reserved the mid size and it was not available. She strongly stuck to that the Ford focus is a mid size, however Google and every hertz in America consider a focus a compact car. She then said that that specific hertz and that hertz only consider the focus a mid size. I asked the other workers and they would never answer the question and would send me to her to answer that. Bottom line is she lied! She just flat out lied! And she just stuck to that lie. What a joke staff! I asked for the manager and she said no management exist at that location. She should not be working in customer service at all.
Just wanted to share my experience at this Hertz location. The customer service that I received was great! I had to get a rental car for my parents through our insurance after an act of vandalism to their Kia Sportage. First time doing this and I must say that the young lady( Dee) at this office was outstanding from the beginning until the end. She explained the entire process to me before I arrived to pick up the car(2021 Rogue). I had multiple questions throughout this ordeal and each time I called and asked specifically for her, she answered and continued to walk me through each step and advised me of my options. Even at the end of our rental term, there was a little miscommunication concerning the drop off and final charge, but she still graciously explained the process and made sure we were all squared away. Again, this was my experience and I would definitely use their service again. N. Watts
Reserved an intermediate car the day before and then the next day go to pick it up the counter guy showed a little attitude and was slow and then told me my car wasn't ready for pick up because it needed cleaning. I had asked him for a car with gas enough to get me where I was going 45 miles away and he said he didn't know and acted like he didn't care either. Said he would give me another but didn't say it was a downgrade compact with no cruse control, couldn't adjust mirrors inside car and it had less than a half a gallon of gas in the car with gauge on empty and put 9.6 gal in a 10 gallon tank. . Running late, no cruise control and couldn't see out of my side mirrors and got there late thanks to hunting for a gas station in downtown Atlanta in heavy traffic. This place needs new management.
The counter worker had an aloof air to him and seemed annoyed that I was there to pick up a car. I originally booked a Toyota Corolla or similarly sized car over two months in advance. Everything seemed alright when he pulled out the keys for a Toyota and went out to check on the car. However, at the last minute, he said he didn’t have the car available nor any other small cars, and I was instead given a Jeep Patriot. While I appreciate the free upgrade, it would’ve been nice to have been asked if I wanted to be upgraded to a larger vehicle that consumes twice the gas, especially when using the vehicle over a longer period (which will result in a $100-200 addition to my vehicle costs). This is insane considering, again, that I booked over two months in advance.
Had to get a rental from here back in October 2019 through my company which waited not only last minute to book the rentals for over 30 state employees but they didn’t let us pick the rentals up until the end of the day. The wait time was crazy & we were unsure if we’d get our rentals due to Hertz carrying on business as usual (as they should have). By the time we got there to pick up the rentals they were honest & said they didn’t have cars for all of us b/c they thought we would’ve been there earlier to pick them up. They then called other locations & agents from those location brought cars. We were very grateful. I even got a gas card but I think that came with the company car
If i could give 0 starts...i would. Very poor costumer service. Walked in, no one greeted me. There were three men behind the counter and one costumer in front of me. Had an issue with my reservation once i got there, while booking it said credit card is not needed, which is specifically why i used them. When i get there Darin* informs me i can’t get it without a credit card on file until after 24hours then just walks out without helping me any further. I stood there waiting for help on what to do next for about 10 min until i said something to another guy who was just sitting on the phone. He wasn’t much help but i got the answers that i needed. Will not be using them.
Would rate it 0 stars if I could. Took forever to get the rental, said they were out of smaller vehicles so I was given a bigger vehicle- fine. They gave me the rental dirty although they had made me wait to have it “cleaned”, the car smelled weird, and it needed an oil change as well as air in one of the front tires. It never cost me more than $48 to fill the tank up while I had the vehicle, but when I returned the vehicle with little gas I was charged $100 for them to fill the tank up. BEWARE, DO NOT GO HERE. They don’t care about giving you a bad rental, & they’re thieves. Hertz NEEDS to do better. Unacceptable.
I made a reservation online on 3/30/21 to pick up on 4/2/21. I arrived at the pick up center and an agent met me at the lobby door to inform me that there were no cars available for rent. I left my number for a call back and didn't receive a call. I followed up to check to see if any vehicles would be available by close of business on 4/2 and was told no. This was a complete waste of time and effort to get a vehicle. Shame on you, Hertz! I will never consider your company when I want to rent a car in the future. Do not allow reservations and confirm them if you don't have cars in your inventory!
As a loyal employee since August of working for Hertz I thought I was going to have the most wonderful service. unfortunately I did not I have ran into several incidents of my car not working properly and rude customer service ;which I was very surprised with. It was alot of miss communication. i expect more from the company that am employed / and loyal customer of but unfortunately I had the worst experience especially receiving the most disrespect and unprofessionism from a gold booth employees.the jesse hill capital location has the worst customer service I ever experienced.
1. Down graded me to a smaller class vehicle than what I reserved 20 minutes prior. They had larger class vehicles on site but refused to upgrade. 2. I had a $75 credit voucher that they refused to honor since I didn't have the original paperwork, just a photo of it (didn't plan on renting a car while visiting Atlanta so I didn't carry the voucher with me. Had to rent due to trouble with my own car.) 3. Vehicle they gave me was disgustingly dirty inside. All seats were soiled. Doubt I'll ever rent from this location again or hertz in general.
This location is amazing. The customer service is A+. I've been to a lot of Hertz before but this location represents the mission of the company. Jordan and Hayli were the employees who assisted me in my rental. They were very professional and recgnized my Hertz Status with a smile. The vehicle I was issued was clean and up-to-date. The facility was also very clean and welcoming for customers to enter. This location is definitely the best in the Atlanta Area! Thank you for the awesome customer service Jordan and Hayli!
Hertz at Jesse Hill, the downtown location has the best people working, they are top-notch. They are highly professional, hardworking and customer friendly. Now led by Carl & Terry who's great at what they do that includes others at the downtown location. They are the main reason I continue renting from Hertz. In this this crazy world where customer service seems to no longer be a top priority, Hertz at Jesse Hill staff knows how to treat people like they do themselves: professional.
I was supposed to rent a Hertz car for work at 4:00 today. I got a phone call at 1:00 telling me that there weren't any cars--literally no other information. The guy who called me was completely unhelpful and kept talking over me. He couldn't tell me when they might have cars available, and he kept acting like he was doing me a favor by giving me this news three hours ahead of when I was supposed to leave town. I just canceled the reservation and will be using a different company.
I wish I could give this location 0 stars. They did not have the vehicle that I reserved on the day of pickup. In addition, the representative tried to lie and tell me that I had agreed to take another vehicle(which is a conversation we never had) in place of the vehicle I was promised! Needless to say I never got the rental I wanted because they falsely advertised a rental that they did not have. Save yourself a headache and avoid business with this hertz location.
Wonderful experience. Called me to confirm my rental within 15min of selecting this location through my insurance company. Had my vehicle (including a small special request) ready for pickup on the day/time as promised. Extremely polite, professional accommodating. Answered my call and helped me immediately when I needed to extend my rental a few times due to delays at the collision shop. Thank you Davisha ('D') and team for making the process seamless!
The worst location and customer service ever !!! I’ve been trying to get in touch with them for 2hrs now to extend my rental but that seems impossible. No one is picking up the phone and an hour later a lady answers the phone and told me to hold a second. I stayed on hold for 10mn. She never came back then later, end up the call What is the point of telling people to call if y’all not going to pick up?
It’s sad when you make reservations, ask questions to confirm understanding, and still are misinformed… And then still expected to be understanding. Customer service is more of a disservice, and clearly need to up their trainings to ensure they are hiring people who are competent, and can relay the correct information, rather than guessing and misinforming. Very disappointed in Hertz.
I came to pick up my reserved rental car at 5:15pm, 45 minutes before they closed at 6pm and no one was at the office. The door was unlocked so I waited for 30 minutes, called a few times… nothing. I needed this car for a business trip I have to leave for early in the morning. Very angry and dissatisfied. Unprofessional. Inconsiderate. -12/10.
Had a reservation for pickup at noon. Received call 1 hour prior saying there's no car available, and they will call when something is returned but not until at least 2pm. Needless to say no one ever called, nor did they answer the phone when I tried to call them starting around 3pm. Now it's past 5 and they are closed until Monday.
The people here are so rude , they didn’t have the cars that i booked online, nobody spoke when i went in , asked for photos that they said they were going to send me of the car never received the email and they told me “they not about to figure that out”. very rude and nasty take your money else where. customer service big 0
The you g woman working at 1pm 8/26/21 isn't the right person to represent the org. She was charm free and didn't fully do her job. I had to take my own video of the car to ensure she didn't try to charge me for incidentals. Please get her some training or find someone that can do the job effectively
Booked our car for 8am, but unfortunately our flight got delayed 3hrs coming into Atlanta. I called them just to let them know and they said they couldn’t hold it! By the time we got there (still in our reservation timeframe), they already gave the car away and had nothing else that we could rent!!!
Very poor experience. Was delivered a car that was old, in bad shape, and dirty inside & out. Tried to exchange it at this location and another around the corner, and was told there were no other cars available. It is a 2 week rental and I'm VERY disappointed with my tarnished "Gold" experience.
I had a good experience here. The guy who checked me in with the dreads and the girl who checked me out with the twists were professional and courteous. The tall guy who was assisting with washing cars etc. was also courteous. One of the best experiences I’ve had at a rental car facility.
If i could zero i would staff dont greet you when you walk in 2 hertz workers there very rude especially the guy the woman heard her on the phone talking rude to a customer i left without a car even though i had a reservation you are not guaranteed a car with a third party booking
Absolutely horrible company. On the day of my reservation, I called to confirm that my vehicle will be ready only to find out they don't have a vehicle for me to rent. I already paid for the reservation. They didn't even call to let me know and now I have no time for a backup.
The worst customer service experience EVER, reservations was for 5 and the location closed at 5pm, was advised to come back the next day at 8am just for them to not open on time but close on time. No one got there until 8:15 am and they wanted to take there time to open up.
35 minutes in line to be told that we need to wait to be called when our car is ready? People around us have been here for an hour or more. Not sure if it is just Atlanta airport location or not but definitely the Atlanta airport hertz experience is horrible.
I have a reservation but they have no cars and his excuse is "its only us two here". I am not sure what that has to do with car availability but I'm sitting here waiting on them to go and "get some cars". I really don't understand.
I called prior to coming, told worker I needed a vehicle due to an accident. Worker told me come in. Got there everything went smoothly. Workers were pleasant from time of pick up to return. Would definitely rent from here again.
The staff was wonderful and they did everything they could to assist me with my rental. I was having issues with my credit card and they patiently waited until I have a final answer for them. Thank you to that location.
Made a reservation a few days before and check in went smooth. Got to drive around in a Kia. Does the job. Service was busy, but since I had everything together it didn't take them long to give me the keys.
This location was great to me. Everyone was very friendly and appeared to enjoy their time here. They gave me a great new model Toyota corolla for a great price of about $205/ week. Couldn't be happier
Excellent customer service. This is the preferred vendor for my organization and it is hands down the BEST in Atlanta. They always vacuum and clean the car before I drive it out of the parking lot.
I rent for business all the time at this location. I know the staff by name, receive excellent customer service and appreciate that they get to know their regular customers and their preferences.
Jordans customer service needs a lot of work. There is a young lady that was really nice when I was there back in July, but other than that, a customer service class or crash course is needed.
Thank goodness for the gentleman who are working this location! Professional and quick service. The Marriott location on 14th street is terrible. Jordan and Devaughn are amazing!
We rental exclusively from Hertz and this is the worst Hertz location I've been to from a customer service standpoint. Surprised I wasn't charged extra for the RHOA attitude.

The staff at the Jesse Hill location were excellent but the staff at the other location needs help with customer service. The 1-800 staff I spoke to were ill-informed.
We never received a car. We were told 30 mins before pickup there were no cars available. We continued to call back for 3 hrs and there were still no cars available

Terrible service. I reserved a car days in advance and they didn’t even have it upon arrival. Didn’t care to look for another one either.
They promised me a full size car and I got a corolla....its so little i can't sit comfortably. Maybe next time I'll be at enterprise.
