We gave this office a second chance after a very lackluster first visit because the initial vet we saw didn't seem very confident in his "diagnosis" of our dog's issues. We saw a second vet hoping for a more knowledgeable doctor. Ha! We were so wrong. It seems the common theme among the vets of this office are "Don't care, don't be thorough" This has been by far the worst vet's office I have ever been to in my decades of having pets. The second visit was worse than the first in the fact that the vet was not interested in finding out what was actually wrong with our dog and just generalized what may or may not be wrong without running tests or actually doing what we asked. We asked for treatment of his actual problem, not the symptoms but nothing was done to determine what was wrong and then the vet wouldn't even come out to the car and speak to me face to face. I got talked at over the phone instead of an actual conversation about my dogs health and when I finally got a chance to ask a question or voice a concern it was dismissed immediately. PLEASE DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR PETS HERE. They could not care less about them. Also I informed the tech that came out to get my dog that he was a rescue and is still a little scared around new people and we made small talk for a little while about him and I mentioned in passing he's terrified of crates. Well guess what, she told me when she brought him back out that they caged him while waiting for the vet. Why are they taking animals in when the vet isn't ready to see them? What's the point of waiting in the car with until the vet is ready if they're just going to cage them?? Beyond furious at the lack of care this office shows for it's patients and the lack of knowledge and thoroughness the vets demonstrate. They also prescribe unnecessary meds to get that $$$ We took our dog to a different vet and of course they managed to diagnose him with what we thought was the problem that these vets didn't bother testing and said it wasn't the problem even when I asked on the second visit.

EDIT: have to add another positive contribution for Dr. Reeves, she’s new to the practice and has been absolutely amazing. Can’t say enough good things, between her fast response time to any questions I’ve had and even reaching out to specialists for recommendations to prevent extra cost on my end. It’s apparent she’s passionate about what she does and truly cares. Seriously amazing! So grateful for this place. Thank you thank you thank you. When I moved to nashville last year I was dreading the idea of finding a new vet, having some bad experiences in the past brought a lot of hesitation..but Hillsboro Animal Hospital might be my favorite vet clinic of all time(which says a lot!) my dog has been seen by Dr. Wall and Dr. Hendrix, both of them willingly spent extended periods of time with me on the phone discussing various options for diagnostic tests and treatments and listening openly to my concerns. They also never seem to pressure you in getting extra unnecessary tests - quite the opposite actually, they have always given a financially conservative option along with the more “standard” route of care without me even asking, which is very appreciated. My dog has pretty severe anxiety and fear based aggression and is muzzled during her visits for safety. The vet techs are always accommodating and understanding with her and after some time warming up Dr. Hendrix was even able to take off her muzzle to look in her mouth, something that’s NEVER been possible for any vet. They are also extremely responsive outside of actual appointments as well...my dog had routine lab work and the results came back normal, other places I’ve been to you only hear back if lab work is abnormal...however I received a voicemail and two separate text messages notifying me of the results, I was very impressed. 110% recommend Hillsboro Animal Hospital

I would highly recommend Dr. Chad Given. I am entirely satisfied with his care for my two Netherland Dwarf rabbits, Blitz and Einstein. I am so happy that I chose him as their vet. I was a bit of a sensitive case since my cat, Tiger, had died after getting neutered by a different vet several years back. This other vet gave me no explanation and still demanded all the payment. This experience with this other vet was so horrible and I was left to deal with the trauma alone. Naturally, I was fearful when it came time to neuter my new pet rabbits. I did a week of research (phone calls and online reviews) to find a reliable, experienced vet (for “exotic pets”) that I could afford as well. When I talked to the receptionist at Hillsboro Animal Hospital about my past experience with Tiger, she offered to have Dr. Chad call me. So, Dr. Chad called me the next day and spent a half hour on the phone with me to answer all my questions. This helped me feel comfortable; so, I decided to make the appointment. On the day of the appointment, everything was handled so well. Dr. Chad was gentle and kind with my rabbits and took time to answer any questions I had. All of the staff was kind. I never felt rushed. The after-care information including giving meds was explained carefully to make sure that I would understand what to do on my own. I was just pleased with the whole experience. The procedure was a success as it has now been 2 weeks since, and Blitz and Einstein are binking about happily. In conclusion, I would highly recommend Dr. Chad Given along with the staff at Hillsboro Animal Hospital since they provided excellent care at a very affordable price.

Our pets have been exclusively cared for by the staff at Hillsboro Animal Hospital ever since we moved to Nashville. I can't tell you how much they and their care have meant to us over the years. We love all of the vets and staff there, but especially Steve Ladd. He has cared for our most cherished pets...from puppyhood through the end of life and at each stage, the care has been compassionate, holistic, evidence-based, honest and exceptional. I wish there were more human physicians like Dr. Ladd and team. The techs and office staff are wonderful. Angie, especially, is a comfort as she knows our pets and their personalities. The entire staff are professional and exude warmth and care. I have never been unprepared or "suprised" by the cost of any procedure, immunization, diagnostic test or office visit at Hillsboro Animal Hospital. It has always been explained to us prior to the care given and we are armed to make the right decisions with their guidance. Dr. Ladd is great at calling to keep us informed of status when our pet(s) are having a procedure or inpatient care. The office or the Vet calls to check on the pets after they go home to make sure all is well. We highly recommend Hillsboro Animal Hospital and clinic for your pet care.

My two Goldendoodles are new patients of Dr. Lauren Wall. We have only known her for a few months, and when an emergency presented itself this week, she worked us in and took amazing care of us! My almost one year old puppy decided to swallow a screw. We did not see it happen but were certain it was the case. Instead of telling me to wait and see if he presented any symptoms, Dr. Wall worked Ford into her schedule to do X-Rays, and sure enough, we found the screw inside of his colon. She calmly told me that we needed to watch the progression and watch him closely to make sure it left his body safely. After a second X-Ray to monitor its progression, and two bathroom breaks, the foreign object was out! It was extremely impressive to me that she did not quickly push me to do a procedure or surgery. She wanted to be safe and said let's try not to cut on the colon. Thank goodness, it went as well as it could and he did not do any internal damage, but Dr. Wall got him in quickly just in case, and then monitored the situation, just in case. And all of this on a day that she was extremely busy, but you would have never known it by the attention she gave us. LOVE HER AND LOVE THIS GROUP!

Hillsboro Animal Hospital has been caring for my two dogs, Dixie and Gus, for nearly 10 years. They have received their vaccinations, teeth cleanings, check ups and now major life saving surgery for my Dixie-dog. My girl started acting lethargic and out-of-sorts Halloween night. Most would chalk it up to being afraid of the commotion outside, but my gut knew something was wrong when she snubbed a greenie. A trip to Blue Pearl and $1,600 later they told me Dixie had a mass on her spleen bleeding into her abdomen. Dixie’s condition wasn’t emergent enough to call in a surgery team, but she would require surgery the following day. At 7:02 AM I was on the phone with our home vet, Hillsboro Animal Hospital. I wasn’t passed around. Dr. Rogers was out, so Dr. Given got on the phone with me immediately. He agreed to get Dixie in for surgery same day so I transported her from Blue Pearl to Hillsboro. Dr. Given called me every couple hours to update me of Dixie’s status. Dr. Given and staff took care of my 10-year-old girl and eased my mind when I was in fear of abruptly losing her. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the love and continued care for Dixie and Gus through the years.

All three of our labs use this office. We love our Doctor!! The problem and 2 stars come in when the bill came. We got our lab fixed and when I called to get prices I spoke with someone at the front desk. She stated that the highest it would be would be $350 and the lowest would be $275. I asked what made the difference? She stated that being microchipped and the blood work is $50. I asked why blood work needed to be done and she explained. I said ok well okay we will do the blood work so the higher price will be less than $350 because we are not getting her microchipped. Got to the Counter to pick My pup up and the price was $460ish dollars. The blood work was not $50 it was $131.00. I understand that because of the dogs weight that would make the price go up. But no it was something they do every time a pup gets fixed and that's blood work and the price is the same for each patient. Not happy that this code me almost $500 when it should have been closer to $350 like I was told (more than once during our phone call).

I’ve been taking my dog Jed here since the day I adopted him. He is now 7 years old and we’ve been very fortunate, that thus far, his vet visits are only his yearly visits. That being said, Dr. Wall never misses a beat. She remembers my concerns from the last visit, addresses each of my concerns from the current visit, she wants to know everything in between, and she is just so caring and patient. I recently adopted a second dog and you better believe she is now a new patient of Hillsboro Animal Hospital as well! It can be nerve-racking to take your animals to the vet. I have a fear that while we are there they might uncover something I don’t know. Because my dogs are my world, I tend to get a little anxious before each visit. Then, like clockwork, I am put at ease. All of the staff from the receptionists like Morgan, to the technicians like Christine M., and the veterinarians like Dr. Wall are truly incredible. I’m so grateful to have a trusted resource in them! I highly recommend checking them out for yourself!

They were the only hospital I called that offered exotic vet and drop in service for a guinea pig with respiratory issues. The staff was friendly, detailed and patient in her explanation about the admission process to me who is a foreigner and first time bringing a pet in, and when I showed up they were prompt and efficient in admitting my poorly guinea pig. The vet tech who spoke to me asked me questions that were really relevant to the species. The atmosphere was friendly and staff had a friendly work culture, and the doctor whom I later met was very detailed and patient when going through the treatment plan with me as well. The wait for the drop in was no longer than what I had expected and probably even shorter than when we had our actual daughter at children's a&e at night for a dislocated arm. My elderly guinea pig showed signs of improvement within a day (no more congested breathing sound). Price was more than what I had asked at two other places but I was happy to pay that.

I have been bringing my two cats to Hillsboro Animal Hospital for 9 years. I've always been happy with the care they have received. More recently, I've been really impressed with how they adjusted to giving care during COVID-19. They now have greeters stationed outside, who will come to your car and do the check-in process with you. Then a tech comes outside to take your pet inside. Very smooth process. (This is what happens when you call ahead to schedule an appointment or drop-off; it's not like a walk-in clinic or something where you can just bring your pet on the fly). The vet techs I've worked with always do a good job of describing what was done during the visit, how I care for my pet after the visit, etc. There have been several times when the vet or vet tech have called the next day to see how the pet is doing, which I think is so nice. They are just in general all very nice and caring people, which makes me feel good about putting my pets in their care.

I have been taking my dogs there since 2013. Emma, my first wheaton had cancer. It broke my heart. Dr.Chip Rogers was so good to Emma and my family through the whole process and when we had to put her down, he stayed after hours to make sure we could say goodbye. Then I got Bosco, another Wheaton. He is a nervous nelly and high energy. I have seen several doctors for his yearly visit/shot/allergies etc along the way and all have been great. Bosco is hot mess when going to vet but they are always so good to him Mostl recently, I almost lost Bosco to pancreatic. I met Dr. Amy Bonavita and Abra, vet assistant. Bosco doesn't bond w anyone at the vet except he did with Abra and a little w the doctor. I was so surprised! And Dr.Bonavita made the comment that you just have to take your time with Bosco to build trust. She is correct and she followed up with me after hours to make sure Bosco was still ok. I will not take my dog anywhere else.

I could write a book about all the many wonderful experiences I've had with Hillsboro Animal Hospital, Dr. Hendricks or any vet there, front desk, vet staff, the check-out process -- everyone is empathic, kind, welcoming, professional, warm - everything and more you could possibly want for your beloved furry family member's health needs. I don't believe another vet clinic exists that is as top-notch as Hillsboro Animal Clinic. And they are just as understanding and kind and treat my precious little girl who is one of the more "bitey" patients as they are with the easygoingng guys! None of my dogs have ever minded in the least bit going to the vet there - they happily trot in the door every time - and I think that speaks volumes as not many dogs enjoy going to the vet but I swear mine actually do seem to like going to see everyone at Hillsboro Animal Hospital! Best vet clinic anywhere!

An incredible place with the most caring people! I setup my first appointment for my two new puppies online. I wasn't sure I'd hear back, and sort of assumed I'd have to call to make an appointment. No way, I received a prompt email response and setup their first appointment via email (how lovely)! Because of COVID, we couldn't come into the clinic, so we called upon arrival. We were met quickly by the most friendly tech and the doc visited with us at our car window - again, the most friendly folks that clearly cared about animals. After my appointment, I received an automated email with next appointment reminders and the cutest text with "first visit" photos of both pups with their weight and age! It's the small things, and at every turn Hillsboro Animal Hospital made our visit special and easy! You and your pets will be treated like family! Don't hesitate, go here.

I am grateful for Shantel and Dr. Pizzicarola for their attentive care for Luna. Shantel was kind, patient, and encouraging as I made an emergency appt for my cat, Luna. Dr Pizzicarola saw her almost immediately and diagnosed the concern. The only reason the review is 4/5 stars instead of 5/5 is because the team at the front desk made me feel like I was inconveniencing them when asking questions/looking for options to get lower cost prescriptions. As someone who works at the front desk of a healthcare facility I know how difficult the similar position can be. It is a stressful position but don’t forget the patient is likely more stressed. The doctor, however, was more than helpful in this area and helped me understand the prescription costs/alternative options. I do recommend Hillsboro Animal Clinic to all of my friends and am grateful that Luna is their patient.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Ladd for over 14 years. He is one of the kindest and so thorough. He goes above and beyond always. Kayle had Addison’s disease and passed from cancer. He was on vacation but still talked to me on the phone and reviewed her xrays with me. Kelsey has had numerous different kinds of cancers. He will reach out to other specialist and makes sure no stone is overturned in treatments and etc. Treats my dogs as his own and checks in. Truly takes the time to get to know me and my pups. Never felt rushed or unheard. All the staff and vet techs have been wonderful. Unfortunately, have been there a lot with my pups so have gotten to know everyone well and grateful for them all making me feel like I’m part of the HIllsboro Animal Hospital family. Cassie was amazing today with all extra precautions with cvoid19. Super sweet, helpful and thorough.

Hillsboro Animal Hospital is, in a word, incredible. I was given a stray and I wasn't sure what I was getting into or even how old she was. They took my young kitten in and addressed all of my concerns immediately. The staff there is warm and inviting. They are extremely knowledgeable and treated my little Luci as if she were their own. The facility is immaculate and modern, stocked with free coffee and comfy furnishings. They even took me on a tour of their back office, pharmacy, surgery and kennel areas. All of which were pristine, filled with friendly smiles and skilled staff. The transparency there really sets them above any other veterinary service I've used. In short, I will never take my little ones anywhere else. How could you when you've already been to the best?

I chose to go to Hillsboro Animal Hospital for the first time a few weeks ago based on the reviews because I was really looking for a genuine vet that would be honest. I met with Dr. Chip Rogers and I could not have been anymore thrilled with my choice. I had a 12 year old dog that was struggling in her old age with some major issues and just needed to know what the right choice was for her future. Dr. Rogers laid all the options out for me and gave me his honest opinion and I couldn't be more thankful. Dr. Rogers was the sweetest this past week as my Maggie went to doggie heaven. I will hands down recommend this vet to anyone as I have seen about 5 over the last 2 years and never went back to any of those. If I ever get another pet, I will only take them to Hillsboro!

I cannot express my love for Hillsboro into words. I started out with them while I had a rescue dog with many health and behavioral challenges. Through our time with my last fur baby I always felt supported and informed by their office staff and Dr. Wall. They are transparent about billing, various medical options/approaches and possible outcomes. Today we are still loyal to Hillsboro with our two dogs. I’ve never felt so supported, welcomed and that every dollar is well spent until I found their practice. We’ve seen many different vets there and I’ve always been pleased. Our family will be loyal to Hillsboro Animal Hospital as long as we have pets. The care for the animals and patience with the humans that come along can’t be beat.

My cat Maggie had an problem with her ear that could not be identified I took her to a specialist and 2 other vets got a big bill and no help. A friend of mine one the board of Nashville Humane Association recommend Dr. Ladd. I called him and he called back with suggestions on what to do he spent at least 20 minutes on the phone with me and Maggie was not his patient he just wanted to help. Finally, after a trip to the so-called specialist that never identified the problem because Maggie would not let her look in her ear. I took her to Dr Ladd and he along the help of his vet tech examined her and now she is improving and on the mend. Since my visit I received a follow up call to see about her progress. These people are the best!

I've taken my bunny Morrison to SO many different vets at this point. My techs in the past have always been kind and knowledgeable, but I've very rarely had the chance to speak one-on-one with the doctor to get my questions answered. Dr. Given (and his tech) were AMAZING. Dr. Given gave me his honest opinion for the welfare of Morrison's teeth -- he even had model/fancy microscope thing to show me what kind of shape my bunny's teeth have been in. It was amazing to see it with my own eyes and have it explained so well to me! And then all of the staff out front were SO nice -- one even helped me to my car (he was in a big travel cage lol). Best bunny vet experience ever, thank y'all!!!

Simply the BEST. Dr. Steven Ladd and the staff at Hillsboro Animal Hospital have cared for our dogs for over 30 years. Dr. Ladd has HEART as well as skills. He is knowledgeable, trustworthy and kind. He LOVES animals and shows genuine concern for their well-being. He understands how important our pets are to us. He is a great communicator, taking the time to explain things in laymen's terms, and he's never rushed or condescending. Dr. Ladd fully explains medical treatment options and their costs. He shares our joy when our dogs are healthy, and grieves with us when it is time to let them go. The staff is always professional and welcoming. I've just not ever had a problem here.

We have a Bearded Dragon and this is our first pet. We noticed he was feeling well and had the hardest time finding a place for him to be examined. When I call Hillsboro Animal Hospital the person on the phone had so much knowledge about Bearded Dragons I felt comfortable immediately! She was able to get me in for a sooner appointment. When I arrived they handled things so professionally and quickly I was able to make my doctors appointment before time lol. The doctor came out to explain what the possibilities that could be going on with my Bearded Dragon. I absolutely love this place! We have found our forever animal hospital and the 45 minute drive is WORTH IT!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Called at 4:00pm on a Monday and they saw me 30 min later! (I was actually ten min late, but the very nice ladies at the desk didn't yell at me!) The entire visit was a five star experience. They had my info and I was in the room, getting the dog examined within ten min of walking in. 15 min after that, I was speaking to the Dr. about the issues with my dog. He got my pup feeling better without breaking my wallet. Totally pleased with the whole visit. Got my baby out of pain quickly and cheaply with the best customer service I've ever had at the vet! Will absolutely go back and recommend to friends!!!! THANK YOU DR. LADD!!!!!!!!

My husband and I were visiting family in Nashville and our 15 y.o. Bichon/poodle mix injured her rear leg. We saw Dr. Lauren Wall at Hillsboro Animal Hosp. We couldn’t be more pleased and relieved with the excellent care our little fur baby received from Dr. Wall and staff. Must say we were also pleased that Dr. Wall was forthright and honest stating that by palpating our dogs rear leg she was able to diagnose without having to take an x-ray. This is probably the most qualified review you will read here because I have been a "patient" at Hillsboro Animal Hospital for 32 years. Over the years, Dr. Ladd (and his partners) have provided the best of care to one cat, five dogs, and one Lop rabbit. We have been through puppyhood, acute illnesses, and end-of-life services with Hillsboro and are so grateful for the wonderful lifetime partner they have been in the health and quality of life for our beloved pets. I am sure there are many qualified clinics in the Nashville area, but Hillsboro Animal Hospital is a sure thing. Look no further.

Dr.Ladd is the very best vet in this town. His years of knowledge and experience are invaluable and what keep me coming back to Hillsboro. Unfortunately, everything else about this practice has changed for the worse. I really do not know what happened, but the front counter people especially are so consistently impatient and rude that it is almost enough to drive me to another practice. When folks used to ask me where I brought my pets, I would emphatically say that the only place in town is Hillsboro.... now I tell them good luck. Seriously, a little bit of courtesy goes a long way.

I've been coming here for about a year for my cat since I moved into the area. They really take care of us well. Very nice folks. It's a busy place but has a large staff. Met with various doctors and all have been great. When my cat had an injury they called to check in on him later. Their system provides great and persistent reminders which helps me not forget annual appointments. If your animal had an emergency and they are open they can often fit you in without much of a long wait. Obviously that's not guaranteed but it was that way for me at the time. Thankful for them.

I wish I could give more stars. The level of care here is top-notch! My dog Lulu got to see Dr. Bonavita and her awesome technician Lilith. She’s terrified of the vet but they were able to still perform her exam and vaccines without escalating Lulu. All my concerns were addressed and everyone here is so polite and kind! I love Hillsboro and my dogs will always receive care here until the day I move. Oh! And Lilith being the awesome tech she is made sure Lulu had extra cookies to go in her medications bag. They truly care for our pets here

Very kind & knowledgable. It was our first time visiting a new vet with our long time friend Mini. She has been sick for a while & other vets seem to pass it off as she was just old, so I wanted to try somewhere new. Unfortunately, We received less than desirable news & our hearts are broken. However, to know what is going on & getting the right meds to keep her comfortable is peace of mind. I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Hillsboro Animal Hospital. My vet was Dr. Nicky Guglielmi and my vet tech was Lil. During my visit, both showed exceptional knowledge and an amazing empathy towards my dog, who they had never met before. He is not one for the vet, I mean what dog is right, but he warmed up to them throughout our visit and I have never experienced this in any other office. They truly cared about him and wanted him to feel calm. It was amazing. And the bill was exceptionally reasonable!! I definitely recommend!!!

Always the best. A little pricey but "you get what you pay for usually". June 5, 2020 This is now another visit with another fellow resident, my old dog Pogo. He has been okay but suddenly had multi issues so we came in to see Dr. Rogers. Dr. Rogers found kidney failure and a spleen cancer. He gave Pogo a shot to make him feel better so I took him home. He is near the end but still happy. Hillsboro Animal Hospital is thorough and excellent. I was offered more treatments if I chose but I didn't. We'll go as long as we can without misery.

We have been taking my pug and boston terrier to Hillsboro Animal Hospital for almost 10 years now and I can not say enough wonderful things about the entire staff. Dr. Given has taken amazing care of our fur babies and I trust the entire team. I think Veterinarians have such a hard job because their patients can't tell them what is hurting and I am so thankful to have found such a competent and compassionate vet that has been able to get to the bottom of any problems my dogs have encountered. I would not take my dogs anywhere else.

I have been bringing my cats here ever since I moved to Nashville! The first time I arrived, one of my cats had puked all in her carrier and on herself (she hates being in cars).. I felt so horrible when I arrived because I didn’t have anything to clean her up with before I went inside. They sweetly took her from me and gave her a bath AND cleaned my carrier! They made me and my cat feel so much better. :D They have great employees with superb customer service, who also have a passion for what they do! 10/10 would recommend.

I definitely appreciate the quality of care that Hillsboro Animal Hospital has consistently provided to my beloved pet. The culture from the staff, vet techs and veterinary doctors is professional, caring, courteous, and accommodating. Dr. Givens is my dog’s primary vet and his expertise has been a difference maker. She is now a senior dog and he has doctored her through a leg injury, an aggressive dog attack, and a systemic heart murmur. In spite of all that, she is still in good shape, thanks to him!

It is a lot harder for vets and techs to give safe quality service during the COVID restrictions, but today I was very impressed with the personal, professional care my pet received without my ever leaving my car. I got a personal call fr my vet following the exam and touch free check out by phone. When the vet assistant came to my car for pick up and drop off she was very kind and thorough - mask and all! I know this season is hard for all of us - but shout out to Hillsboro Vet for giving it 110%!

Dr. Ladd and the staff at Hillsboro Animal Hospital are simply the best. Dr. Ladd has been our veterinarian for literally decades. He's been with all of our fluffers from babies to elders. He has helped them give birth and cross over. I appreciate Dr. Ladd's candid discussions and his innate ability to understand our furry family members. His patience and guidance has seen us through good days and not so good days. I am very thankful to know the team at Hillsboro Animal Hospital is in our corner.

I brought my 3 cats here for 7 years. Two of which passed away at 20 years old due to kidney disease. It was managed well during their lives and their vet Dr. Bonavita cared for them and knew them well. Their rooms are clean and staff are attentive. They respond to appointments promptly. You can hear dogs through the walls of other rooms. Parking sometimes difficult. They work with the kennel behind them well. The waiting room is communal. Things are hectic during COVID-19.

My dog has chronic eye ulcers and being new to nashville I wasnt sure where to take him. I called at 7am and they took. him at 9am and I was in and out of there in under an hour without breaking the bank...actually the prices were wildly reasonable, I was surprised when I checked out how little it was going to cost me. They took great care of my senior pet and offered up a ton of options and things to look into for boarding since he has specific needs around feeding time.

I have been coming here since I got my first dog in 1984. From puppyhood through to the passing of an old dog they have been with me. Dr Chad was on duty the night my dog was attacked and did emergency surgery to save his life and the rest of the staff were wonderful. The pandemic has been rough but we soldiered through with a drive through visit today and except for missing our visit with the vet it went as smooth as possible! Dr Ladd and Dr Hendricks have been great.

Dr. Bonavita is the best Vet in Nashville. I've taken my cats to a few offices here and was never quite pleased with the service or care my cats received. A friend recommended Dr. Bonavita to me and I can't thank them enough for that recommendation. Even my cats love Dr. Bonavita! She's very knowledgable, professional, and friendly. If you are in search of a provider or aren't happy with your current one, believe when I say Dr. Bonavita is the BEST!

The front desk staff has poor manners. The doctors will change plans or medications without any discussion and then all you get is an attitude. The one doctor (Chip Rogers) has a horrible bed side manner and acts like a know-it-all. I didn't want to believe it, but seems they want the pets to get worse so they have to be seen more often!!!! sadly, it seems all about the $$$. Don't waste your time or more importantly put your pet at risk here....

Brought my dog here for his EU health check prior to flying to Europe. Was in town for 2 weeks for work on the way over, and my vet back west recommended Hillsboro for the EU check. Excellent care, the doctor and tech took the time to ask questions, give me options, and I never felt rushed. They did a thorough health check and the paperwork was done in 24 hours and ready to be picked up. If I lived in Nashville this would be my regular vet!

I went to Hillsboro two years ago after adopting a shelter cat. They recommended two teeth be pulled asap due to a dire situation and I trusted them, with a high bill, too. Over time, Hillsboro felt like a factory, with no personal attention, so I switched. The new vet is attentive to my cat and has recommended teeth cleaning which we are going to do. I wish we had gotten a second opinion before pulling those teeth but what’s done is done.

Best experience I've ever had at a vet! Brought my kitties in for a checkup and it was so smooth. Even though short-notice appointments are hard to come by during covid because everyone has new pets, its worth waiting the extra week for the excellent care :) Even when I needed an appointment ASAP but none were available for same/next day, they recommended a wonderful local animal hospital in place of an appointment with them

Hillsboro Animal Hospital came through, once again. Yall always provide the highest level of service, kindness and care for my pup whether it is a last minute sick appointment or a yearly checkup. Additionally, you were the only vet willing to see a friends farm dog who was injured. You provided excellent care for him and support for the puppy mom. My husband and I absolutely LOVE Hillsboro Animal Hospital. All of the staff are very nice and they always take great care of our dog. Everything is always explained in a calm and detailed way, they don't mind taking extra time to answer questions and they never make us feel pressured about getting certain products or procedures for our dog. Hillsboro A.H. has been our vet clinic for years. They are quite simply the best. Dr. Rogers is our regular vet there, but we have seen them all. The vets are so caring, thorough, and professional; I'm grateful to have them watching over our two pets. The support staff and vet techs are equally as wonderful. I stopped into Hillsboro animal hospital today because my dog had a worm in his stool and my original vet was not getting back to me. The staff at Hillsboro animal hospital were so helpful and got my puppy in right away to see the vet! They fully checked him and made sure that he was healthy and gave the proper medication. I will never take my puppy anywhere else!!

As a new 'patient's' mum, I was very relieved to find everyone from Reception, the Technician to the Vet, very accommodating and caring. They took their time to explain and were very clear on the course of treatment, constantly asking if I had other concerns (than the reason for the visit). I have used Dr. Ladd as the vet for all my animals for many, many years. He is the best! He has always been so concerned and given each one the very best care. When my last cat died, he gave me Succotash. This cat had lived there in the hospital for a year. I have never found a more caring staff and doctor. Hillsboro Animal Hospital is my very favorite.

LOVE this clinic! Everyone is great and they are always able to see me the same day if my dog is sick (which is hard to find in Nashville.) Dr. Neff is a PARTNER in the clinic and still spent a lot of time with my dog when I brought my dog in at closing time. I will happily continue to drive twenty minutes past other clinics just to come here!

We have 5 pets and have been very disappointed with this vet clinic. It is impossible to get a same day appointment. They charge you again with a measly 10 dollars off if they see you within a week for the same problem they didn't treat adequately the first time. Their prices are outrageous and service totally lack luster. Go somewhere else!

Horrible customer service. The front desk ladies always appear to be busy. They have poor attitude and they are not helpful. It appears to me that the recommendations of the doctors are based on the cost of the services. The lack of care is evident. If you can go somewhere else where you can find more caring people to work with please do it.

My husband and I started bringing our little Muffin (cat) here based off of a co-worker's referral back in 2017. We couldn't be happier with the staff and how they treat our precious little baby. They always take the time to answer our questions and always show love to Muffin. From the staff at the front to the vet, they are top notch!

I have used Hillsboro Animal Hospital for more than 30 years. Dr. Steve Ladd has been the vet for all of our cats and dogs and most recently for our now deceased dog for 14 years. Dr. Ladd and all the staff have always cared for our beloved pets with professionalism and great kindness. Our pets could not have had better care.

I can't say enough nice things about Hillsboro animal hospital. I've seen a variety of vets here due to many unforeseen dewclaw problems and each of them has been so incredibly kind and caring. My greyhound has had surgery here twice and both times I felt very secure that he was in great hands.

I have been going to Hillsboro Animal Hospital for 20 years now. I have worked with several doctors most lately with Dr. Rogers who has gone above and beyond with my pets. When the sad time came for me to have my dog Bianca euthanized he came to my house on a weekend and ended her suffering.

Hillsboro Animal Hospital has been our go to place for 16 years. Dr. Hendrix has been our stand-out vet all that time. When he is not available we have seen other staff vets and all have given us the help and care we needed for our furry friends. The support staff is very competent as well.

I love this vet! I called in because my cat was acting very strange. When I arrived they already had vet techs ready for me to pass my cat off to find out he had 104 temp. They take emergencies very serious. Everyone is very friendly! Highly recommend this vet!

We recently moved to Nashville and were not sure which vet to choose. Luckily we found Dr. Lauren Wall. She is very thorough and focused on our puppy. Plus the PetPage phone app is a great tool. I can easily look up appointments and medications she has taken.

Dr. Givens is hands down the best vet I’ve ever had. Being a petcare educator & owning many rescues, I’ve met a lot of vets. He takes his time with my exotics & listens to my concerns and truly cares. I love this vet & will always bring my exotics to them.

Three different vets have cared for our nine-year old dog in the last year because of our own travel and schedule conflicts. They have coordinated care thoughtfully and seamlessly. The techs also seem very knowledgeable and professional. Great place.
