"If you plan on having your baby here"
We visited a family member in the Humber River hospital. The place was extremely clean and tidy, well maintained with well lit areas. Very modern building and design and layout. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and professional. Lots of parking available both regular and handicap accessible. See pictures!!!
The pre natal classes doesn't help as expected because is too much information without any material to help after classes. The person speaks fast and there is no time to write every important information down. You stay there seated two hours trying the take notes but it is impossible.
The process was transparent, and the staff was highly responsible. Despite the staffing and medicine shortages in the Toronto healthcare system, these dedicated professionals provided excellent support and clear explanations of the process.
Understandably the healthcare field is not easy job, so wait times can be horrific. But I’m not complaining about wait time (despite them being so long). I had the worst experience ever. So many signs how the staff don’t tolerate harassment
If you plan on having your baby here..don’t. Unless you want to be treated horribly. My sister was scheduled for an induction, it was pushed back a couple times which is understandable due to other ladies who needed medical attention first.
Back on October 14th I walked into emergency with a severe eye injury. I was scared and didn’t know what to expect, if I would have to sit and wait. However I was greeted as I walked in by a registering nurse and she walked me in right away
My mother broke her leg the day before Christmas Eve....right from the beginning her (and my) encounters with staff were very good. Everyone was kind and compassionate. The next day, due to less staffing for holidays, a Doctor assisted the
horrible service. I was in triage waiting for 3.5 hours. the nurses get up all the time and one of them stopped calling patients to be on the phone (on her phone) I don't recommend this hospital for anyone who is suffering and needs quick
This is an excellent hospital! I don’t understand how they get low star ratings. People should really stop & think about how fortunate we are to have such an amazing facility and their amazing staff! I had Breast cancer and the quality of
The staff that I have been introduced to for my son health care just didn’t seem qualified. It’s not my job to use hospital equipment to administer medication/oxygen to my son. We were admitted due to my son needing oxygen support and you
They don’t see you at the time you are booked, they let you take the number and wait a minimum of 1 hour to mark you in, then they tell you to go wait there your name will be called this time not your number then you go wait another
Fancy, big hospital that showcases huge the fundraising successes, yet has just 1 phone charging station tucked away in the corner of a waiting room. Not the emergency waiting room either (where it's most needed). Dumb-founded that those
The worst hospital ever. Rude arrogant nurses. Unprofessional nurses. Won't give you your medication on time. Dismissive staff lack of knowledge . If you don't pay attention to your health and what you need they can easily kill you from
They took excellent care of me, from ER to being admitted. Staff are excellent. No idea why the bad reviews ....? (Edited after reading some more reviews) Doctors and nurses have to prioritize the worst cases, so sometimes we have to be
By far the worst emergancy hospital ever!!!! Let’s start with one it’s an emergency room and they have only one doctor there looking at everyone coming in and out of the emergency room . Now I Waited 4 hours for someone to just do blood
I had a double anterior hip replacement last week. I have high praise for all aspects of my treatment, from pre-op, to surgery, nursing care and discharge. I am at home and walking. I felt they had everything well under control and were
Canadian health system has failed. No one is in charge of controlling disrespectful hospital staff. They are freely and without any fear, disrespect you, humiliate you, abuse you, and basically violates all your rights. Where is all our
I had internal hernia repair surgery about 3 weeks ago. I had the worst emergency experience of my life. I tried to tell the emergency staff that I had this exact same surgery 3 weeks prior, not to mention I was at emerg the week before
I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to the amazing Team at Humber River Hospital. I had my knee replacement surgery recently and my experience starting with Doctor Chan and his assistant Megan was absolutely first
This hospital takes patients they can’t get to and cannot sustain. I have to specify this is for labour and delivery/triage. When I called at 3am to indicate I’m having contractions they said I should wait until my contractions are 3
Only reason I gave it this many stars was because of the most amazing receptionist at the fracture clinic. I believe her name is Christina. So friendly, helpful and just an amazing personality. This woman deserves recognition.
An amazing experience from beginning to end! I had a foot surgery at Humber River Hospital and it went better than I could have imagined. The staff were extremely caring, listening to my concerns and answering my
I gave birth in July 2022. The Birth process took to much time as this is my first child, and I saw 3 staff shifts. All of the hospital staff was very helpful and supportive all the time. Thanks to all of them!
Beside the medial services which is a very long hour waiting procedure, i like this whole vicinity and overall design of the hospital. If someone wants to do security work here, he / she can easily apply.
The people whom are complaining about wait times need to take a visit to a hospital in USA - Sure you'll be looked at quickly, but you'll be forced to pay thousands out of pocket for a blood test.
Went to Emergency Aug 16, 2023 with terrible pain and had been throwing up . This was the second attack I had had. After waiting about 6 hrs got taken and was treated with an I.V. kept from
A family member was in distress over christmas. Taken to psyche ward. Everyone so kind and supportive. Clean room. Lovely staff. Social worker went above and beyond. So grateful!!
I got a surgery last week. The whole experience from surgery to discharge was great. Doctors and nurses were nice and helping as much as possible. Love my single inpatient room!
After experiencing their Emergency Department 3 times I can honestly say I hate this hospital. The first 2 experiences were ok, just ok but my last one was the worst.
My daughter gave birth at Humber River Hospital. I never review any place 5 start but I would give Humber River Hospital one.
