Fair warning for Indigenous, Black, Biracial individuals, you are not welcomed here at Toronto General ER. This ER only facilitates for Whites and Asians only. And I am speaking on my experience. Yes, the hospital staff have many ethnicities, but it's different when you're a patient coming here for a medical emergency; you will be racially judged. I was just rushed to the ER for the second time in a row within 24 hours because I am an active NET cancer having difficulties with my cancer treatment. I was got into the room quickly, and I thought I was going to get help and a scan to make sure that everything was okay. Backstory: 24 hours ago, Feb. 4, 2022, I was rushed for the first time to Toronto General because Princess Margaret Pharmacist told me to head to the ER. My cancer treatment can cause gallbladder damage and death. During my first visit, the doctor ordered an ultrasound, and during the ultrasound, the technician dug the scanner into my abdomen, bruising me. After the scan, the ER staff had to administer painkillers, where I developed an allergy, where I had to get counteracting medicine to stop the allergy. The ER doctor told me if the pain didn't stop, come back, so I did, within 18 hours. This is how Dr. Josephson mistreated me, solely based on racial discrimination. I had arrived on Feb. 5, 2022, 18 hours later. The nurses were fine. I was put in a room of two beds, connected to another room where a middle-aged White woman was. A doctor visited her, and she explained that she was having stomach problems. The doctor did an examination and said, "Well, your stomach feels soft, but let's order you a CT scan just to make sure that's nothing else is going on." A few minutes later, Dr. Josephson entered my room and was more annoyed to see me; he rolled his eyes when I said hi to him. I was going to do a urine sample, but he wasn't having it. He proceeded to tell me to put my belongings down and do an examination. When I started explaining, he became increasingly annoyed, making sighing "ugh" noises and still rolling his eyes, but I remained calm and continued. He didn't listen; he cut me off and said, "Let me examine you." He did a one-minute examination, and he made up his own theory about what happened 18 hours ago, saying, "We'll the technician was checking your pancreas tumour." When I replied, "I didn't come to have a cancer scan, I am having an allergic reaction to my cancer treatment, and my gallbladder is hurting me." He replied, "Well, go home and take naproxen. We don't help cancer patients. Go home, you're being discharged, and I'm cancelling the blood work." And with that, I was kicked out. No scan to see if there's any damage, nothing. While I walked out, the staff, mainly White and a few Asians, laughed at me, smirking as I wobbled out of the ER. The only one who showed me kindness was the young Black male janitor cleaning the hallway. He saw what was going on and nodded at me out of respect. One thing was that Dr. Josephson couldn't stop my blood work was being scanned. And I have proof that something is going on, but I was racially profiled because of my skin colour. At least this time, Dr. Josephson didn't tell me to, "Go get shot or stabbed and maybe we will help you." But now I have the blood work and the results. I have enough evidence to seek legal action against Toronto General.

Second day after abdominal surgery with CRP high 102mg (Flagged High) and feeling sick, I was kicked out from my bed by a nurse screaming at me that she needs this room! I told her that doctors said I can go only if I feel good and later, that anyways my mom with my daughter are on the way to pick me up so just wait please an hour, but she got mad and didnt want to wait, though I told her I'm not feeling well and its only my 2nd day after surgery. Just unbelievable, she gave me huge attitude, was super rude and made me all nervous and felt anxiety. They couldn't wait for 15 min and moved me back to my previous room, in front of crazy screamer, but because of this rush, I lost expensive devise during this sudden move. The night before, they admitted a woman (OD) who they put just beside my bed, who didn't seem sick at all, was jumping and very loudly screaming, calling all her relatives and all names she knew, disturbing people around and nurses were all around her, absolutely ignoring the needs of other patients and allowing crazy hysterical screamings and other noises of that woman. I could not relax even for a minute, started feeling very sick and was in lots of pain after surgery, it was at the 9th floor and my surgery was resection of small intestine. After many hours of sufferings, I could not even walk and could not escape, therefore was forced to listen to crazy screams , my nurse thankfully moved me to another room where at least I could sleep, and pain medication was finally increased. Resident doctors who I saw at the morning said everything seems OK to them and if I feel good, by evening I can go home. Not sure why 70 CRP was good for them, they didn't even see my last blood test, showing 102mg, as it was done few hours later. Show me please another country where after abdominal surgery people get discharged from hospitals on the second day, without careful review of their tests, blood results and how they feeling! Nobody checked my blood with raising CRP that every day was raising higher from 50 to 70 and became 102mg and flagged as High. My chest CT scan showed new moderate pneumoperitoneum, unusual pain in shoulders was killing me. I tried, but could not find anybody to discuss what is wrong with me, while I started feeling weak and sick, so was forced to go home, as had no other option. Nobody helped me, nobody helped my daughter who is 16 to find a wheel chair and help with stuff. When I was almost home, doctor on duty finally called me and said to come back if Im feeling sick, but when I called back later, a nurse told me she knows nothing, I'm discharged and go to Emergency. What a mess, this hospital is terrible, much worse then Western where I had 3 operations and thought that its just impossible for the nurses to be worse.... Im thinking to go to court and publish how medical personnel work nowadays.

I understand hospitals are busy and the staff must experience some interesting and unpleasant things however this was probably the worst hospital visit I have ever experienced. I have an anxiety and panic disorder, I was originally allowed a visitor but when I was placed in a cubicle the nurse told me my visitor wasn’t allowed which caused me to panic. When I was given the opportunity to speak to the doctor, he was quick to diagnose and walk off without allowing me to ask any questions. I was prescribed morphine for pain that I described as tolerable, why would I need morphine for tolerable pain? I denied the morphine. I was in the ER for a total of 10 hours, alone. It is a given that when you go to the ER the wait will be long but I was not expecting 10 hours just to be given saline and medication to calm down my stomach. I left the ER at 3am after the nurse came back from her break and tracked down the doctor so I could finally be discharged. When I read my charts, so much of the information was wrong. From who brought me in, to if I was allergic to anything, to the doctors ER note stating my pain level. I was barely being listened to and it was very clear on my charts. I get working in a hospital is not easy but I stated multiple times my condition and ended up having several panic attacks alone while I was hooked up to an IV. Please do better, not everyone who comes into the ER in DT TO is some person on drugs. There are so many students down here who are alone and experiences like this can hurt us mentally long term. Edit: 2 months since this experience and I was re-admitted into a different hospital with the same issues I came into TGH with. TGH did not give me a diagnosis nor send me anywhere. I just had a gastroscopy today for high levels of acidity. Maybe if you guys actually listened to your patients instead of trying to bandaid stuff with morphine, I would have dealt with this 2 months ago.

Great surgeon and medical team and dedicated daytime nurses but overnights a nightmare. I received very good care after walking in with jaundice and received quick testing which alarmingly revealed pancreatic cancer. I was quickly given on operable diagnosis and went back for surgery after about 4 weeks, pretty good but longer than I had wanted to wait. The preparation nurses were excellent, we knew what to expect and what to do. Surgeon, Dr. Greig, was excellent, very lucky to get him, and 9 hour surgery went well. The problem arose at night time. The nursing staff was thin and four out of five nights they were busy dealing with one or more of my elderly neighbours who were confused or mentally ill and wanted to get out or know where they were which went on for hours. They were grumpy old guys who made a big fuss and wore out my sympathy with their demanding and unreasonable behaviour and attention seeking. The other problem was the machinery going 'ping' which went off a lot and twice I experienced all night 'pings' from machines that seemed to be unresponsive. I spent one night pressing the reset button every five minutes on my IV machine which I couldn't get anyone to change. I lost a lot of sleep and despite willingness to pay for private or semi private room they were not available. My care suffered too, and I felt dirty and tired. I managed to catch some essential sleep during the day but naturally there were a lot of interruptions in a room with four patients. Daytime nurses were generally friendly and enthusiastic and there was a nice friendly buzz much of the time around the station on our floor, despite the high mortality, which is really a credit to the staff. The surgical staff were excellent and supportive and I was able to go home five days after surgery, almost a record. Fortunately I am relatively young and fit, or the hospital stay may have done me a lot more damage!

Haven't been here, but why do I keep seeing the exact same sentences in a bunch of different reviews? EX: The staff and administration take patient concerns seriously and act to ensure changes are made quickly and effectively when there is a concern brought forward by a patient or family member. Over all an excellent hospital with very special people helping the vulnerable in their time of need. Special thanks to Dr Laframboise and her incredible team, as well as all the staff on 6B, in the OR and PACU for outstanding care of my wife when she needed it most. I'm grateful to you all for your service. My wife had a serious surgery and was very well taken care of here. The rooms are cleaned twice a day and are kept immaculate. The meals are not always visually appealing but rather tasty! That was a pleasant surprise. Policy is also very important here and the checking of narcotics consumption among other behaviors are closely monitored and verified which helps to improve patient safety. My dad had the David procedure invented by world famous dr. Tyrone David and it was nothing but a success. I'm always happy when I go to this hospital easy access by subway lots of parking by the hospital always clean and like I stated very professional. I wish all hospitals were like this across Ontario and the world. To the people that make up the whole team at Toronto General Hospital smile and be proud for what you do. To the people behind the scenes that we don't see good job and making this a top-notch hospital thanks to everyone Toronto General hospital you are number one The team at this hospital is always on there A game. This hospital staffs some of the greatest doctors on this planet. The whole team at this hospital should not go unnoticed they are top class and every single department.

I have never had such a bad medical experience in my life. It wasn’t even a medical experience, I waited 7 hours to NOT be seen by a doctor or a nurse. After checking in at 3am I was told a doctor would be in a 7 to see me. Mind you there were 3 other people in the waiting room and a few others who where just there to sleep. At 7 i was brought to a different chair in the back. I was under the impression that a doctor was present to see patients - wrong. I was told they were unavailable but a second doctor would come in at 8. At 8 I asked where the second doctor was and the nurse said they were working on the other side of emerg, but another THIRD doctor would be in at noon. Now I’ve been awake for 27 hours and have spent my entire night and morning at the ER with a wound gushing blood. This was the most absurd experience of my life, half the time there wasn’t a single staff member to be found and the other half of the time they were chatting and restocking supplies as if myself and a handful of other people weren’t waiting to be seen (or at least temporarily cleaned up in my case). I feel sick even thinking about how poorly run this hospital is. It would have been faster to fly to Mt Sinai in Manhattan, get fixed up, and fly back. I could sooner become a registered nurse on my own than see a registered nurse as a patient here. I’ll gladly learn how to do my own stitches because I’ll never get the hours of my life wasted in the ER back.

Toronto General Hospital has a Scary emergency room. Disorganized staff, and they don’t know how to triage. I waited with my sister for six hours in the emergency, and they lost her paperwork. The nurse said my sister was not an emergency priority and she would have to be triaged again and wait possible for another six hours. We left and went to the fantastic Markham General Hospital, the triage nurse took one look at my sister, and she went into action; the nurse put her in a room right away and had her in a hospital gown and an IV; the emergency room doctor said he was bringing in a specialist for my sister. To make a long story short, my sister was very sick; they transported her from the emergency room to the ICU ward; she spent three weeks in the hospital, and they saved her life; thank you to the fantastic staff who recognized my sisters' vitals were crashing. I’m shocked the nurses at Toronto General emergency room let my sister sit in the waiting room looking grey and bent over in pain. At one point, I went to talk to the nurse, and she was so rude. Here is a suggestion; use some of the money you get in donations to build a new emergency room, have one side non-emergency and the other side for a real emergency and in the interim, makeup pamphlets on how to educate the public on using telehealth. Maybe set up virtual doctors or virtual triage nurses. I have to speak out for change.

This is the worse hospital to go to in Toronto. The Doctors don't know what a Medical Alert Neck less is and don't have the sense to call the Hotline. I am very allergic to all dogs and go into shock and my mouth and tong swells up and sometimes loose my voice. The ambulance are the worse where they also don't understand what a Medical Alert is and they won't call the hotline. I can't have any sheets or blankets or pillow due to been allergic to bleach. I had a female Doctor who did not care and wanted for me to leave as for 3 days I could not eat or drink. And mouth still swelled up and no drinking water and no voice. How can they do that. She was so rude towards me that the second time I saw her told her to leave with my hands since I could not talk. My Nurses that I had also agree that she was very rude to me and they told that Doctor not to come into my room again. Guess what she did and same thing so she got my discharge papers. And also I am a Vegan and the Kitchen kept giving me dairy products that could not have and they said oh! Don't vegans have dairy products. How DAFT are they. And another Doctor called me a different name and gave me wrong medications and had a reaction. This is how bad the hospital is in Toronto. Also saw my Family Doctor and he said it will take another 2 weeks to get my voice back. Yes I do have a Title and related to Princess Diana. Cheers.!

Toronto General Hospital is one of the best Public Government Run Hospitals in all of Canada especially when it comes to cardiac heart conditions. I have been coming to this facility since 2020 to the emergency department and it's excellent most of the time. The first going to the register desk, then the triage nurse will assess you, and then to the Rapid Assessment Zone (RAZ) to the other side of the hospital where there is a seating area for the patients to see the Emergency Room Physicians. Keep in mind that the best times to come to the hospital are around 9:00am to 2:00pm Monday to Friday since they don't get too many patients since most people are at work/employment so it's easier for their staff to give good care to them. I only gave it 4 stars because every time your admitted to the Emergency Department you will not get the same Physician each time which is understandable so the quality and wait times will vary. I come all the way from the City of Mississauga travelling for 1 hour and 15 minutes through Public Transit to get to Toronto to this hospital so that says quite a lot.

The worst experience ever, brought my husband here as I thought this will be the good hospital but the emergency room is the worst here, at first we had to wait 5 hours to see a doctor while there was a nurse there working at night I never seen a human with no feeling except this white tall girl she is very mean if u approach to her to just ask for water she will respond to you by screaming at your face and make u feel like u did a crime. The DR came and checked my husband asked to have him do more blood test which normally can Take 1 hour to get results we literally had to wait hour and a half just for that mean nurse to come and take the blood is int insane? This was the first time my husband coming to this hospital in this country and he is just shocked about this experience then he decided to leave because whats the point waiting 8 hours for a nurse not even caring if u suffer or no. If u hate ur job it’s not us to blame so do something about it and leave patients away from ur stressful and mean behaviour because will be the mean person making them feel horrible!

I don't normally write bad review here. But I feel that I have to let people know about this. The system of the emergency room is confusing. You have to go through a few rounds until you get to see the real doctor. That means the waiting time is forever. And the worst is that they let the person whose daughter seems to be a nurse to get in front of others who are much earlier there. The daughter first squeezed his father through the blood test, then when they came inside she stopped the doctor who has called me to the room. The doctor just switched records, went to see his father... I questioned the doctor, but he just said he is doing his job and it is based on individual case. I understand if someone indeed has serious situation, they need to be taken care of first. But I don't see the person has any sign of suffering and he looks much better than people who are earlier than him. If his situation is indeed serious, the assessing nurse would have put him in front of others rather than until his daughter talked to the doctor....very disappointed

This is the worst hospital downtown. Nurses do not do their job. They just sit at their desk and talk with one another. Then the doctor just chills and does a walk around every 2hrs or so. You ask nurse for help but they won’t relay the information to the doctor. Then their security guards are racist. And it’s the black, Latino and brown security guards who are the racist ones towards black people. The black security guard attacked me outside the hospital and then all 3 of them tried to turn their body camera on after. But when the police pulled up I told them to check the video inside and outside. They seen it and came to me and said that they are sorry for what happened to me today. And that I did nothing wrong. OWNER OF TORONTO GENERAL HEALTH. GO CHECK YOUR VIDEO FROM FRIDAY DECEMBER 22 2023 at 6am-7am. Everything you need is there. The doctor tried to lie and say I was attacking him and his team for some reason. When the video shows me putting my hand out for the nurse to take the IV out. Once she did I left the hospital peacefully

best experience I think I’ve ever had at a hospital! I was in the first waiting room for about 20 mins, when I was brought to a second waiting room. there I waited a bit longer, but that’s to be expected. the nurse who took my blood was great, he was so kind and personable. the first doctor I spoke to was very helpful, and gave me some good pain killers and sent me up for an ultrasound. I waited less than an hour to get the ultrasound, and I was in the room with the ultrasound tech for just over an hour. she was fabulous, very kind and tried her best to make me feel comfortable. I think her name was Maria, or Marie-Louisa, or something along those lines, I don’t quite remember. afterwards it took about 20 mins for me to get the results from the ultrasound! overall, I was in and out of there in about 5 hours, which is very reasonable given the fact that I had an ultrasound done. I would recommend making the trip (if you can) across town to go to this hospital over any of the other toronto ones!

Absolute worst experience at the ER. Came in early morning because my husband wasn’t well and had chest pains. They triaged him and then forgot to move him in. We waited for 2 hours outside. I asked a couple times how long it was going to take. Finally, a nurse realized they made a mistake and sent him in to rapid assessment. All the people that had come after us were now waiting ahead him. When we asked why he wasn’t prioritized if the hospital realized a mistake was made, they said it was our fault for waiting and not checking, and that someone likely would have called out his name, when in fact no one did. They said just wait and if you have any issues call patient care or feel free to leave, I don’t understand why the healthcare system makes people feel bad when they are already at their lowest. So unorganized. I wish hospitals and healthcare system was supported by workers who liked what they did and weren’t overworked.

My surgeon operates out of the UHN network. and it functions like never before. I've been going to these hospitals and several others, MT SINAI , St. MICHAEL'S, SICK CHILDREN'S, WELLSLEY, & WOMEN'S COLLEGE, since I was very young. In fact I was born at TG in '61. My mother was born there in '33! How's that for old homeweek at TG?? There are hundreds of top notch doctors at the top of their fields that work from TG Toronto Western and Princess Margaret. All 3 form the UHN. My first MRI was done at TORONTO WESTERN, in 1994, for a spinal injury emergency, that Guelph just wasn't equipped for..... I've been going to Specialist's at TG, TW and a few others since, to be treated for various related issues since. Any new problems that rear their ugly symptoms I know who to ask to be referred to, by my GP. Hope this paints the terrific news it is intended to have, as I wouldn't go anywhere else.‼️

I went in for an unknown allergic reaction, didn't get any form of treatment. Was by myself and wasn't allowed to have someone with me despite other patients in the back with other people there to support them. After waiting for nearly 4 hours with no nurse checking on me, I asked if I could leave and the nurse stated they had my blood work ready when NO ONE came to get my blood work. I was alone, no one to be there for me, no nurse to check in on me and was ignored the whole time I was there. Thankfully I had benadryl with me and it finally kicked in after 4 hours but could have been so much worse. I thought the city would have better care than my hometown but this was so much worse. Update: I went to the hospital again around August. Since I live nearby I just walk since it's about a 5 minute walk and got charged for an ambulance despite never riding or calling for one. Absolutely garbage hospital.

I ended up coming here by EMS as I am having trouble breathing, eating, drinking, swallowing and so on.. After 4 hours of waiting, and being moved into a room to be moved back to a waiting room numerous times, I can definitely say this is a horrible hospital. At one point in the Rapid Assessment Centre there were only four of us, an hour later of waiting suddenly SIX others are ahead of me. The man with the green glasses made the biggest difference here if it wasnt for his kindness trying to get me what I need and doing his best to keep another man comfy. I’d be stuck watching this one european lady, who told me to wait til shes done on the computer continue to talk to the other hospital staff while I stand there like a fool. Can’t wait to get out of here. Edit: after 6 hours of dosing in and out I had a doctor help and and send me on my way. Time efficiency could be improved across the hospital.

Had the worst experience at TGH. My boyfriend and I came in yesterday at around 11:20am but got out at 5pm. His tests were done at 11:50am, but didn’t hear back until 4:30pm from the doctor. No instructions or updates were being given from 11:50am to 4:30pm. What sucked is he couldn’t even leave and get food. There was no option for him to eat anything while waiting. He was asked to put on a hospital gown at 11:50am too, but no further instructions were given. It was so uncomfortable for him. As I couldn’t visit him too, I was in the ER the whole time he was in the exam room. I understand that the nurses & doctors were doing the best they can, but to not give us any update at all was too frustrating. Today, my boyfriend had to come back for another procedure. He was there at 8am, but only got to be assisted at 12:05pm. This is even worse than Manila hospitals.

  • Crazy -simmu_kaur

These nurses are doctors are just taking and passing time, they are not seeing any patients, they have not called any name from last 4 hours. They kept on saying that they are busy but they are chatting on their phones, talking and walking here and there, one patient was bleeding and left untreated, nurse was happy when patient said i am very old and can’t wait here so leaving. These hospitals should be privatized and staff should be paid hourly as minimum payment only after seeing patients ( they should watch cameras that what is going on)so that they can understand the pain of patients, they don’t even listen and tell the weight time. Called people without any priority triage. Boys staff seems giving priority to girls first, complete gender discrimination may be. Insane. Government hospitals are like begging them to treat you.

  • Sue S

I’ve visited their ER once and I had the best experience. Yes it took 4 hours for the doctors to see me and yes I had to wait almost 14 hours. But that’s normal for the Canadian health system now. Positives: The triage nurse was such a sweetheart. The doctor was a professional and eliminated all possibilities systematically. The neurologist was a sweetheart too. The hospital itself was clean and modern. They use the latest digital filing systems. Negatives: It’s when you get to the waiting area, that things get a bit difficult. There isn’t anyone to greet you and tell you what your status is. There’s one washroom in the waiting area Some washrooms were dirty. They were struggling to help patients that came in an ambulance due to I’m assuming shortage of staff. This province really needs to step up. All in all I’m impressed.

  • C. Karr

For those of you at this hospital from secretaries, clinical staff, and admin who were extremely rude, derogatory and/or condescending towards me, stereotyped and harassed me, raised your voice at me for the time I was here, if you are having a hard time now it is your bad karma catching up with you for being mean to ethnic minorities like myself. Very selfish and entitled people. I also noticed some of you were quite rude to ethnic fellows despite them being of a higher status than you, not that it is acceptable to be rude to anyone. Absolutely reprehensible. Treating a person with dignity and respect does not seem to be a priority here, that it was very surprising how verbally and psychologically abusive some of their employees are. Let's hope others do not learn from such poor role models.

  • Niya Nablous

Maybe an advanced technology facility , but the nurses and staff at the emergency Unit were quite absent and indifferent. You can wait 8 hours without having someone asking you whether you need some water. Why using the intravenous injection when it was of no use at all. And... the waste of gloves, screen protections (no recycling in this hospital, or a personal use).....I observed the nurses during 8 hours and a half. Only one of them was really working. The others turned around, took some blood samples...changes x times their gloves ... without knowing what they were doing. We pay for them, hein! a shame, a real shame! However, they are stuck at the computer screens with their little "mobiles" as if life was suspended to them . Thanks to the Dr ( although he did not know much). Never again!

Wonderful experience with Toronto General Hospital. Dr. Mohammad Shafiee is incredible. Words can not describe the magnitude of our appreciation. It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. He relates well to people and takes time to listen and takes appropriate action on the symptoms. He is good at building trust with his patients. His staff is no different and will go the length to make sure all is well. Seriously not a typical doctor, he is a good man. We appreciate Dr. shafiee taking the time to explain everything to us in a very clear manner and going over the treatment options and next steps. A big thank you to the entire team and specifically Dr. shafiee. Definitely recommended!

  • Star*Gatherer

If I can give a zero rating I would. This is more like a butcher’s shop than a hospital. The staff were rude and inconsiderate. When I attempted to ask staff members question they outright ignore you. I had to repeatedly try to catch someone’s attention even though I’m standing right in front of them. Also, when I finally got to speak to a staff member, I expressed that I was suffering and she outright told me that I was not suffering and was already better off for being able to see someone and get test done on the same day instead of having to wait weeks for outpatient care. I don’t care how busy someone is, this should never an acceptable thing to say to a patient. I felt violated and blamed for being sick and asking for treatment. This is disgraceful behavior.

I recently had VATS lung surgery and had to stay 13 days instead of overnight. Every single person from the cleaners, porters, meal delivery people where fantastic. The nurse's on 6b thoracic ward were excellent and very caring. I watched them take so much bull from patients who acted like they were the only sick people. Dr Johnathan Yeung and all his Fellows were also very professional and yet showed so much compassion to me as I had recently lost my wife of 49 years. It was my first time in hospital in 37 years and you hear how bad things are now I found none of that. If you treat them with RESPECT they will treat you the same. I want to thank everyone for their wonderful care they gave me. Where would we be without Doctor's and Nurses. Thank you all so much.

This hospital is a lie, its been more than 2.5 hours i am sitting in the waiting area and no one called any patient and there time seen by doctors also a big lie it shows 2 hours. Very stupid, they should hire more doctors instead of extra nurses and other staff. We are not paying taxes to be left untreated or very long wait. Also, all the staff mostly nurses are on their cellphone or sometimes chatting with other staff. Waiting time is increasing and being treated time fluctuating as they have set on Tv for their reputation but they are not calling any patient inside. Triage Nurse does not understand the condition. I had worst experience here. Will not pay or file any taxes to pay these government staff if we are not getting service.

  • Jad Malaeb

I came into this hospital with severe pain and dehydration. I had not been able to eat or drink and my body was shutting down. It took me an hour to “sign in.” I had to wait a further 4 hours to receive treatment at the EMERGENCY UNIT. That isn’t even the worst part. When you ask the nurses for information, they either actively ignore you or they look at you as if they’re annoyed to see that you have questions. One nurse called Margarita did a great job: she was kind and responded to my condition with sympathy but only after 4 hours of waiting. Someone in government needs to get more doctors at TGH: these standards are so far below expectations for a 1st world country. Trust me, there’s a large cost to “free healthcare.”

I had day surgery booked at Toronto General Hospital on March 28th/23’ for melanoma on my leg. My experience was fine and I’m glad to have had the surgery. There was one particular nurse, ‘Michael’ Filipina nurse on the pre operative care unit ‘nurse station B’. She was so wonderful and really cared for me after the surgery. I was very sick and was hyper sensitive to the anesthesia. I was the last one to leave out as my surgery was delayed. Michael was very informative and explained the after care. She stayed past her shift, and made sure I recovered. She really is a gem, one of kind who truly is passionate about her job. Many thanks to her & my oncologist who performed the surgery.

Terrible with the way they treat families of patients who have lost a loved one. Imagine being called down because your sister passed and they don't let you in and being told that They're hospital isn't a lobby. Terrible service, poor communication between door workers treating my family members with such disrespect. Families who have lost their loved ones don't want to be dealing with this when they come in. Throughout the week we were told that we were all allowed in to see our loved one who passed. Its so heartbreaking, no compassion whatsoever. We're already dealing with enough. Being told we can see our loved one to not being let into the hospital ( we are all vaccinated too)

Worst nightmare in my life . I wan to know did you do any drug tests to the doctors who working in emergency department ? You so do that because the doctor I deal he was so high he did not listen when I told him I'm allergic to medication ( hydromorfine) he did not listen when I try to explain my medical history and what happen he assumed I have cancer and come to the room and yelling to me because he wan to make a test without my concent When i ask if the have any specialist doctor who know how to do this test he's not answer he's not listen He left the room so upset . I took he's report and he's lying he's covering about he's mistake with someone else singing these report .

  • Elvin Hatamov

The nurse sitting at the front door, maria, is rude. She has to take training about how to get proper relation with customer. My mom, who does not speak English, was a patient in General Hospital Emergency, and Maria did not let me go to help mom with what Dr said, even they did not provide an interpreter. Maria, who is far from professional, took me out with rude behaviour. They did some procedures on my body without asking her permission because of Maria's ego. Her behaviour is " Go sit. I give permission here and she mad at the security woman who is let me help my mom ". I will ask about my legal rights. She is responsible if Something happens wrong to my mom.

  • Sarah Buxton

I was there for 5 weeks and they didn't find out what is wrong with me, I went back with spinal pain and neck stiffness and the doctor literally told me "we can't help you" ... Now I'm at the point where if I don't take certain pills I can't breath that's how bad it's getting and they refused to help me! Really bad service, I'm practically on my death bed now. Thanks. I am ashamed of this country, how did we let it come to this? I am afraid to ask for help now as healthcare obviously doesn't care and is letting people die literally, where are we suppose to go if our healthcare is negligent? I feel like theres no help or hope in this system.

  • eleni salemi

Absolutely the worst hospital ever. Came in to get checked after being attacked by a stranger. Got here at 5 and waited 4 hours in the “RAPID ASSESSMENT” section to get checked. Every other patient that came after me got checked first while I sat and never got checked. All while dealing with a head injury and pain. I asked for a estimate time and they disregarded me and brushed me off by saying I don’t know. What do you know? All the nurses and doctors like to sit at the desk and chitchat. While I was on the phone with my mom all they were doing was talking about Chanel bags and the death of Jerry Springer. Super unprofessional and lazy.

  • Cam Law

I want to thank the staff support workers, nurses, am the doctor Hassan In the emergency room. I was very impressed the time it took to see the doctor I also was impressed with the website as it gives you a pretty accurate time on when you will be seen by a doctor it also gives you approximate times in the emergency waiting area a how many patients are waiting and how long. It didn't matter who I spoke too from desk, check to the nurse and doctor they kept informed and they made feel so comfortable. I can't say enough. Who ever is doing hiring human resources or whoever I give gold stars to you :)) Thank you so much!!!!!

  • M S

My Dad was in the Pulmonary Hypertention Clinic and we couldn't be more thankful and impressed with the Doctors and staff. Everyone from reception to the nurses. They were kind, personable, professional and caring. In fact we found everyone at this hospital very friendly. Thank you also to the Cardiology clinic for being so lovely as well. I imagine these doctors, nurses and staff put up with a lot in their day to day. It cannot be easy so we are so pleased they treated my Dad with such care regardless of how stressed and busy they must be. Special thank you goes to Nurse Murry Macdonald. He is a real gem.

  • Paul Uruski

My dad was in Toronto General Hospital a few times. One time my dad had a heart valve replaced by Dr. Yau. The doctors and nurses that looked after my dad were all amazing. Me personally, because I was so impressed with Toronto Generl Hospital, when my family doctor wanted me to see a cardiologist I asked for Dr. Heather Ross. My doctor sent in a referral in October and I am waiting to heat back from Dr. Ross. I can see why this is always ranked as one of the best hospitals in the world and it's also why I keep donating to the UHN Foundation and I always direct my donations to Toronto General Hospital.

  • Chepa W.

Maybe the best run and highest medical capability institution in Canada. Their doctors and nurses work in a team so for a senior like my husband who had multiple underline problems can be taken into consideration as whole. In March my husband checked into emergency department for heart problem, within a very short time, they found the root cause of the heart issue is his failing kidneys, so saved his life. Should my husband only being seen by the heart specialist, he may not leave the hospital alive. For a big outfit with thousands of patient beds, it is running smoothly which is not an easy task.

  • Master Administrator

I’m just watching a report about a woman who wouldn’t wear a mask. You can see it the stillframe from the video that I’m watching, it’s obvious that she was bullied by medical staff. I think the hospital went too extreme. She ended up dying. Update: She had a respiratory issues. It makes sense why she could not or did not want to wear a mask. This is a crime. Bill of Rights. Her family should sue those individual Canadians in civil court who dared to infringe on her freedoms. They would win some good coin easily...but never replace such a tragic loss. I wish I could give zero stars instead of one.

  • Heidi Thiessen

My husband received great care and attention from all nurses and doctors. The only complaint I have is that the housekeeping on the 9 th floor is awful! My husband was in step down and the floor were not washed or bathroom cleaned the entire week he was there. If the hospitals are about preventative measures of infection they need to have their cleaning staff doing their job. I saw the housekeeper waking around, grabbing drinks etc instead of cleaning . I have worked at hospitals and never saw this with any of the housekeepers I worked with. Overall our experience was wonderful.

  • Pharaoh Gambino

Dr. Nazanin Meshkat was no help. I came in with a clogged ear and pain. She told me just keep taking olive oil. I told her its not working and that the excessive ear wax needs to be flushed out. She still insisted that it will work if I use it consistently. She refused to listen to me. She was uptight, stubborn and rude. She talked to me in a condescending manner that made me assume that she harbours some prejudice that clouded her judgment. My experience with Dr. Meshkat makes me question her professionalism and knowledge. I recommend the hospital to keep a close eye on her

  • A “Google User”

Medical secretaries at this place are some of the worst creatures on this planet, who show their vicious behavior when the doctors are not present. Some of them have the attitude that everyone is supposed to pander to them just because they work for doctors and they do not earn their favors. Some of the old married secretaries flirt with the young single doctors. How gross. I am staying away from this hospital because I am afraid I will be brutally manhandled and killed for exercising my right to not wear a mask--the irony of an organization that is supposed to save lives.

  • Jimmy Battiston

OK I appreciate everything this hospital has done for me. Professional kind helpful in every way BUT the food. Been here for 2 weeks same breakfast everyday 2 hard eggs creme of wheat coffee. Complained several times filled out forms requests NO CHANGE. NOT FUSSY asked to tick off protein I like picked many get beef every nit. Sick of it don't touch it straight to garbage. This would be easy if someone cared. They don't. Please stop sending me meals 7a rm123 it will go in garbage. Please listen and care for your patients the entire hospital does. WHY NOT YOU?

  • Ana Caceres

Excellent staff (doctors and nurses) the equipment. I don't give the hospital 5 stars because of the front desk staff at the ER room. I was getting even sicker to hear the girl with the pixie hair cut yelling at everyone when trying to log them in because they were immigrants and didn't understand her questions or because someone touched her desk and she needed to clean it after. Believe me Asian background guy and pixie hair cut girl, nobody wants to be yelled when is sick, moderate your voice tone and be more compassionate, you are in an ER room.

  • Xtina

Each visit and everyones experience will be different, but it was extremely disappointing that on Nov 21 the ER doctor didn’t do his job properly and sent home a very ill disabled elderly patient without doing his due diligence and as a result the patient died 6 days later at another hospital. It was very hurtful and disappointing and I will never forget that interaction. It’s unfortunate that we have to worry about the care we will receive once at a hospital, something has to be done and I will certainly do my part to help, make that change.

  • Hito Hito

Charged me $1600 for nothing. I was very sick and unstable condition and the lady asked me it will charge $1600 for seeing physician. They refused to take it back since I signed the paper. They didn’t let me know wait time is more than 4hours before. I started to feel little bit better I decided to go back home and asked the lady if I can take it back the signed (I didn’t get any treatment at this point). However, since I have signed already it is impossible to take it back which means I have to pay $1600 for nothing as non resident.

  • Ron Grant

First rate doctors, surgeons and nursing staff. I had a transplant here, and everything went perfectly. Care in the hospital was excellent, and friendly. Follow-up care team is exceptional. Very impressed. Sorry to read of people that had a bad experience, but either they ran into unusual circumstances, or perhaps they need to realize that medical staff are not miracle workers, but rather just other people doing a job to the best of their ability, with an incredibly complex 'machine'. (and one that varies from person to person.)

  • Karolina Lukosius

Best hospital I've been to hands down. Patient, caring, efficient, and understanding staff! I do wish they could've shared a bit more knowledge on what the cause was for my symptoms and what I could do to help prevent them in the future (I have really bad panic attacks that bring out horrible terrifying physical symptoms) but they did the best they could in terms of making sure I wasn't dying and told me there was indeed only so much that shows on their database that I have to do a follow up with my doctor so that I am

  • Grace Shim

Walked out after waiting almost 8 hours (4:30pm to 12am). They told me I had to wait longer. Went to one waiting room to another waiting room to finally a private room for assessment, stretcher bed and a gown to wait in. I waited 3 hours in that stretcher and gown and no one ever came by. They said they can give me a tylenol so it'll help me sleep and they'll wake me up when the doctor is ready. I said no, I have work in the early morning. It was a Wednesday night, longest and wasted night. Incredibly understaffed.

  • Ryan C

The security guards here are unable to do a quality job. They use unreasonable force against the sickly. The half-a-man, Hutley has lied in court reports, saying he wouldn't have said what he said, if he knew there were cameras recording. Rojas-Silva, another mentally weak guard also used asphyxiation to murder Stephanie Warriner. I absolutely do not feel safe having my family and friends sent here. Please check the May 2020 Stephanie Warriner case, the judge let the Toronto General Hospital Killers walk!

  • marsleno atheer

Disgusting treatment And very insensible. Security guard and a Chinese doctor with nasty attitude literally arguing at 4 am in the morning. These people are still using Covid as a result of their system failure. Unprofessional and don’t even know how to answer basic questions. Unfortunately this is what we get to deal with after paying thousands of dollars taxes. And the one person visitor policy is so stupid and there is no reason to have this policy existing till now. Wake up there is no COVID anymore.

  • Candace Torrance

Went to the ER after several days of food poisoning. They made me collect a urine sample while plugged into an IV, that took them an hour to remove from my arm once it started draining blood. Was told that I wouldn't have a lot to give in the sample because I was "dehydrated" which isn't true. Saw they made a girl walk on her severed toe, blamed errors on a new records management software despite them time and time again putting their patients in harms way. 0/10 avoid this hospital at all costs.

  • Nocturnal 2000

Place was very unprofessional and unclean . My grandmother was there and they barely attended to her and was very rude and disrespectful. They gave my grandmother drugs and sedated her which was absolutely disgusting. They left her out in the hallway with one sock and they never changed her diaper they just casted her away . They put her in the hall way a 90 year old woman just so some loser junkies in his early 30s could get a hospital room absolutely ridiculous.

  • Sheena K

Considering the negative reviews, I was nervous of coming here as I am not from here. Registration and Triage was very quick, waited 20 minutes max to be seen for assessment in the rapid assessment centre. Pain medication given right away and now waiting for results. All the staff have been professional, informative and kind but miscommunication is the only issue. So far my experience has been positive and felt like my needs were met.

  • Deep Desai

Worst medical facility I’ve ever visited. After a 10 hour wait the doctor will impatiently check your results and give you a bad result. Then will spam call you the next day to come to the hospital for another 10 hour wait. Nurses there are rude, they simply don’t care about your health. All they care about is clocking in and clocking out. Stay away from this place. Malpractice will definitely occur. Hope they get sued asap.

  • Troy Zieman

I cannot in words of gratitude I have for the staff of Toronto General Hospital. From the cleaning staff to the Surgeon's. I have never been treated better . Very professional and very efficient. I had a major procedure done their yesterday. Leading up to that there was a number of tests . So I had a number of interactions with department there. They made it easy to navigate through . Everyone was friendly and professional

  • DbJ

An amazing hospital my dad had something wrong and we didn’t know what it was and brought him to the ER. He was treated very fast and since by nurses who were so kind and helpful. The doctors we saw are top notch and they figured out he had an infection in his stomach and is now on the mend. They do a lot tests and make sure they fellow you with you. I can see why this is one of the top rated hospitals globally.

  • Alexis Stackhouse

The lack of compassion of the staff is disturbing, to put it lightly. Obnoxiously loud & constant laughter from staff members while people in the waiting room suffer, security guard scoffed and rolled his eyes at an overdose in the washroom then walked away with no further attention to the matter… Unsanitary waiting facilities and incredibly inaccurate wait times provided by staff. Go somewhere else if you can.

  • Storm Cherry

Supposedly, the best hospital - when they aren't discriminating against you ~ sad when it's the patients (plural) that were more worried about me than the medical staff! Biggest waste of my time and I suffered until I could see a regular walk in clinic Ruined my experience with hospitals. Thanks for the post traumatic stress ~ Glad you didn't document things so my doctor had to investigate! Psychopaths...

  • Lisa Me

Very confused people work here. No one listens to what you have to say. I went into emergency lethargic, stomach pains and severe muscle cramps because I was prescribed large amounts of vit D to bring my levels up from 10% of normal. I had trouble walking into the hospital. After 5hrs of me giving blood and urine... they diagnosed Depression... What??? Try a different emergency hospital if you can!!!

  • Amber Anklesaria

Back in 2011, I was hemorrhaging after a miscarriage. I understand how difficult and taxing working in emerg can be. I was expecting to wait my turn, but when I went in, told them what was happening and they immediately put me in a room. It wasn't until later that I learned that my life was in danger. When it's life and death, they take care of you. Universe, bless all the health care providers. ♥️

  • Simply EMIE

Surely Toronto General Hospital is one the best in the world. Advance technology, great doctors and medical staff. Location is at the heart of the city walking distance to Queens Park, where the government offices are. Subway stop at church st. Noon time is perfect timing to come. Not so much traffic that window hour and public parking is adjacent to the hospital. Other medical facilities around.

  • Natasha Quinlan

I currently have a family member In here. The place is disgusting.... emergency waiting room is filthy. Dried vomit on the front door to get in has clearly been there for sometime, caked on dirt on the doors, dirt piled on the floor, dried bodily fluids on the floor and to top it all off the most ignorant staff I have seen in any hospital. The patients will come out sicker than when they went in

  • Hannah McFarlane

This place hires security to attack you if you dare take your mask off alone in a corner to catch your breath from respiratory health issues...and then wheel your limp body off after they screamed at you and crushed you into the wall, and then try to cover up your death instead of making things right. This is where our taxes go. I am terrified of ever actually needing to go to the hospital.

  • Miriam Gomez

Horrible service waiting for 7 hrs for nothing Short on staff for an emergency , they don’t even be clear enough to tell you to come back in the morning since you have no emergency at all sooo disappointed . I clearly still have an infection and the dr suggest to stop the antibiotic I’m taking And just rinse my nose ‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️some drs really need to go back to university

  • Tyler Madigan

My doctor gave me a referral to the ER and get an urgent US, despite my symptoms not being present that day. the doctor ignored the US request because I didn't have pain/ symptoms despite me telling the nurse working with him that I did have a slight pain that day. I felt very breezed over and disregarded despite being told by my doctor to go to the ER with or without symptoms.

  • Pratik Jaiswal

Never ever come here in a Emergency. 7 to 10 hours waiting just to see a Doctor in an Emergency really?? Does Canada know the meaning of Emergency. Staff working here are rude and pathetic, karma is going to hit you badly. Canada Healthcare sucks, it's better to have private hospitals were you can pay and get human like treatment than to have this scam called free healthcare.

  • Paida Ogunbiyi

This is one of the best hospitals in Toronto. Within 30 minutes I was seen by a nurse and doctor. The clinic is super modern and clean. The online portal is easy to use and convenient to receive test results quickly .The doctors and nurses listen to your concerns and provide appropriate care. I went in the late morning and was out by late afternoon. Highly recommend!

  • Dina Messiha

Worst health system in the world. Takes forever to speak to doctors… they don’t explain what’s going on…we’ve been waiting for a doctor for more than 12 hours regarding something they say it’s urgent and no one wants to speak to us. No empathy at all!! They leave you for 12 hours with no food not knowing if you will need a surgery or not!! Stupid health system!!

  • Virginia Vargas

I was waiting for an x-ray was trying to ask someone in there if my daughter can be with me because she was alone in other room far from me There was no answer or acknowledgment but yet I heard them watching the soccer game how unprofessional is that.!!! Yes I know why is my daughter with me because before I went to this hospital I had to take her to sickkids.

  • CANADA

Here where my husband was given the gift of life :) There is a mussalla room for muslims where employees and visitors can come and pray. There is those stones for ship to pray on too. Full respect for this thoughtful administration who let this place to exist. Please if you have time come and vaccum this place or fold those prayer dresses once every while !

  • Antonia Sabato

Very skeptical about the quality of care. Hit and miss. For ex, went to the ER with a serious case of pneumonia and they kept me overnight. So far so good. However the antibiotic prescribed was useless. After being discharged, the same day I cracked 2 ribs from the cough. And was forced to seek a second opinon. Be critical of the medicine they prescribe.

  • Minsen Hsieh

Thanks to the amazing team effort of Dr. Jacqueline Montoedi, Mohan Singh, Loraina, Diane Liu and additional nurses at the Emergency Dept of Scarborough General Hospital for the care of my dad - Mr. Kuo Hsin Chiu yesterday. Our whole family extends our gratitude for their dedication, care, support and kindness. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

  • Cindy Skelton

I was rushed to TG suffering respiratory failure. I had been intubated at Alliston Hospital. I was given many tests ruling out many things including cancer. They quickly assessed me to gave pneumonia in both lungs. I was very sick. I was looked after so well. Nursing staff was top notch! I was very impressed with everything while my two week stay.

  • G S (The Griz)

Security guards Amanda Rojas-Silva, 42, and Shane Hutley, 35 murdered a patient in the lobby as other security staff panicked and tried to cover it up. Despite overwhelming evidence, they have never faced any sort of accountability or punishment. Unless you are comfortable with the risk of being murdered on site, consider other nearby hospitals.

  • Eileen Lau

I've had some appointments here with the Thoracic team, as well as emergency/and being admitted through emergency. Staff are professional, the food is good compared to Women's College Hospital. My stay was mostly comfortable. Fast wifi. My room was not cleaned everyday, maybe every second day The hospital is quite old but with new technology.

  • tien lu

I was there recently at the emergency. The staffs and Drs were amazing. They were very professional, promptly. The hospital systems are the best. All your blood work and tests are directly to your email in a few hrs before the Dr arrived. The following up appointment are promptly. This hospital is number one and the best in Canada.

  • Mitch Philip

Very long wait times. There is also no privacy afforded in the rapid assessment centre. Everyone in the waiting area could hear each patient’s conversation with the nurse or doctor when discussing their private medical issue. That said, when I finally got seen, the doctor was very helpful and properly addressed my medical issue

  • maziar mehran

Hi everyone i have spent the last 4 weeks in Toronto General Hospital and this is not my first visit to a hospital in last 10 years due to a few health issues. By far they have best services , Doctors and Nurses, technology and equipments and most important of all THEY DO CARE ABOUT PEOPLE . Thanks to all of you at T.G.H

  • Mr mbrana

I had attacked by 2 criminals and injured bad my nose bleeding, lips bleeding and throat pain because they chock my neck and call police for help and ambulance bring me to hospital and I waited 10 hours to complete my checkups. Some nurses are very rude they need some classes for respectable behavior to the patient.

  • Farah I

My 83 year old mother went to er at 1 pm left after 8 hours untreated as they were busy and didn’t have a bed The registration person couldn’t care less More Line a shelter for homeless people This is healthscare not healthcare If you’re attending er make sure you’re in good health cause the wait will kill you!!

  • Nephinae

The staff in this hospital are very aggressive, went there once. The secretary had a bad temper on the phone, was yelling and threatening about the validity of the health card, making all kinds of assumptions. The neurologist there was a useless lazy doctor, that rolled his eyes, refused to listen and assist.

  • Sayed Shabeer Hashimi

The general waiting room is small and the chairs needs to be cleaned-they were dirty and had stains on them. Waited 7.5 hours to finally see a doctor. Overall a good place I would say the Nurses and doctors are kind and fast but the waiting is too much. Be sure to have your phone charger and a book to read

  • Павел Тявин

I had a fever with 40°C. Ambulance worked like a charm, I got the ER bracelet, but they decided to drop me to ambulatory. After 2 hours waiting I lost my consciousness and woke up in wet sweat. Then they said I need to wait 2 hours more, which I found dangerous for me. The way back home was made by a taxi

  • Aaron Moleff

Please do not visit this place. Danielle Stephanie Warner died for not wearing a mask properly as the Hospital guards chocked her to death and the nurses do not even treat her afterwards but casually take he lifeless body up an elevator. The words hospital is an being used as an oxymoron in this instance!

  • Jacqueline Curtis-Colucci

The staff is all amazing, they go above and beyond to getting me extra blankets, and information in a timely manner. This emergency experience was the reason for the drive. Been disappointed with others in the past. Environmental is relentless at every detail, it's clean smelling, and sparkling everware!

  • austin varghese

I am literally in the waiting room as i write this review this is the worst hospital i think i have ever stepped foot in. My girlfriend is here and has not gotten help for hours and hasnt had any help from anyone everyone is completely unprofessional and they are all talking and not helping whatsoever.

  • Luis Alonso

I have no desire to question how busy the doctors and nurses are. Regardless of what people have said here everyone at the hospital is trying their best however when told I can have food again, I requested nothing with pork. 4 hours later I was given a ham and cheese sandwich. What a joke

  • San Bala

Nice and friendly staff who go out of way to help patients with their needs. Wait time is long for visiting er but it is common across other hospitals in the province. They attended to my needs and provides me with the right diagnosis. I am thankful for everyone who works here. God bless

  • monika adamik

Wonderful hospital treated me like a human. That’s worried. Something happened to me since I got vaccinated. Trying to figure it out. But everything comes back normal. But it’s not for me. Had a couple events don’t know why. Anyways great hospital. That’s how you treat patients.

  • Steven Zhang

Worst emergency experience ever. Been waiting for 6 hours and the nurses told me just wait till the doctor comes to see me. No body asking me how I feel as a person comes for emergency in the waiting room. It could be the worst decision that I made trusting them for saving me.

  • Roshan Perera

What can I say about this hospital, they saved my life! In November of 2012 I received a double lung transplant at the amazing hospital. The doctors, nurses and all the staff at the hospitals went above and beyond to bring me back from death. Simple amazing Hosipital!!!

  • Roxanne Halo

Needs way more staff. Doctors act like they don't have a care in the world and will socialize knowing they have patients waiting. 6 hour wait time for an emerg is ridiculous! They have a rapid assessment center but its far from rapid. More like Next century assessment!

  • Cheryl Moscoe

The BEST hospital in Canada! Excellent staff in all departments. You are well cared for and treated with respect and dignity. I see a number of specialists here and they are all excellent. Full transparency; you can see everything on your file if you create an account.

  • Eliza Bovin

After a week of being in agony, and being sent home by other doctors... I came to the emerge here and was taken seriously for the first time. The doctor was knowledgeable, empathetic and encouraging! Thank you to the kind souls who have been involved in my care here.

  • Mohammad Hassan

I went to the ER in Dec 2020 with the worst pain ever in my left arm and left leg. Spent hours to see a doctor who saw me for 2 min and said to go check with my GP. 2 years later I was diagnosed with MS at St. Michael Hospital. These doctors don't care about people.

  • Merri Salmoni

I took my husband for an MRI at 2AM Oct 13. I have to say the nurse was so nice, that it made for a very pleasant experience, in the middle of the night. She was professional, accommodating and helpful with an air of empathy. We would not have asked for better care.

  • David Allan

I can only say what they did for me and what they do I’d beyond amazing. If their standard could only be meet by others. I thank everyone involved in my cancer surgery and saving my life. I can’t even think the trouble ai put you through. Home now in fact today.

  • Kenneth Johnson

I had a pleasant experience and would really like to thank Dr. Niihm for her hard work. I often walk over landmines or run into sharp objects but she always patches me up no questions asked. I hope her healing skills and knowledge reach others out there in need.

  • M B

Had been waiting months for an MRI. Appoint got cancelled close to the date bc of shift closure. When I asked well, can that happen to my next appt. I got the answer, "I don't know" What is the point of having appointments if they can get cancelled any minute?!
