There are not a lot of places now a days where you can get good quality wood furniture custom made. After searching online for a while, Faveris was recommended by someone who knew the owner. Once I got in touch, I was quickly assisted via 3 or 4 emails back and fourth designing a 4 locker mud room cubby. I visited the store in person to pick final stain colours and that day happened to be in my Air Force uniform. They gave me a generous military discount which was not expected but appreciated. Once the piece was ordered, it was scheduled for a completion date, but ended up about 3-4 weeks late. That is the only criticism I have for the whole experience. Being from far away Faveris also helped arranged non-standard shipping at a reasonable cost. Once in my home the piece assembled well (being military I asked that it separate so it would move well). The cubby looked great and over the last 6 months my family has made daily use of it and it doesn't show any wear. Overall, Faveri's built a custom, solid, good looking piece which exceeds anything I could find at a big box store. You pay more, but you get value for it. The customer service was excellent and I would return to Faveri's again. 4 out of 5 Stars with the late completion being the minor detractor. But it's worth waiting a little longer for quality.

Thank Goodness we can still shop in Winnipeg and get something of quality. Real wood. Professional and in depth support. I think people need to know that you can also order anything and have it made to your specifications. My Grandmother always said.."When you don't have a lot of money to spend...Buy One Good Item...You'll always have it forever." There are several projects we need to do in the coming months and I'm just going to draw it up on my self-taught CAD and get an estimate. I don't know where else in Winnipeg you can buy quality....We think the Big Box Stores are not giving you your best value...you'll have to replace those items a lot sooner. It's not a "greener" option.

Recently purchased a gorgeous oak table that expands. Was able to match the wood to the beautiful oak details in our dinning room. So impressed with the quality of the table the design allowed the extra table leaves to hide under/inside the table when not in use. Always love going to this store. Another family member recently purchased a dinning room table and she loved being able to customize the stain to her preference. The owner was great to work with friendly and helpful with showing all the multiple options for finishing. I am impressed with the milk paint options they provide. Having done multiple milk paint projects it can be hard to find good milk paint in the city.

Excellent selection of high quality furniture. I am a home builder / designer that has referred several clients here, and heard nothing but positive feedback from them. The sales staff are friendly and very knowledgable, they will help you select the style, wood species and finish for your furniture to perfectly suit your specific needs, right down to knobs and hardware. The new owner has curated a broad, but coherent showroom of hand crafted, solid wood furniture. In a world of particle board and cheap veneers, the quality of these pieces speak for theirselves.

Absolutely stunning and unique furniture. Continually get compliments on our selections. Prices are higher but I believe you get what you pay for. In finish and quality. I have been into Faveri's on a number of occasions over the last six months and John (new owner) is incredibly thorough. He has a deep base of knowledge on the source materials and construction of each piece. He clearly has a passion for the products and I get the sense he wants you to leave with a purchase you'll love long term. Excellent atmosphere and outstanding customer service. The staff at Faveris are very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. I chose to finish my new wooden furniture myself (a slightly cheaper option that they offer); Mark assisted me in deciding on a stain and finish that worked well with my choice of wood, and gave me very detailed instructions on how to finish my furniture with professional results. He patiently answered the many questions that I had before and during the project and I am very happy with the result.

We purchased a jam cupboard for extra storage after our recent move. We looked at multiple options to fit a unique hallway space. Katrina provided us with excellent service during our initial visit and also regular communication about the status of our furniture piece. The quality of the piece along with the finish exceeded our expectations. We would certainly consider purchasing from them again. We are still enjoying a small kitchen suite we purchased there about 13 years ago. Quality pays for itself.

The new owner and the new feel of the store is amazing!! Faveris was always kind of like my parent’s or grand parent’s store so I had no interest in shopping there but, I’ve gone in a few times now since the new owner, John, took over and it’s amazing. Quality furniture that doesn’t feel dated! Even the decor, the art, the customer service, everything has improved. It’s nice to see some new life breathed into such a great local business! If you are looking for high quality unique items this is the place to go. They have an impressive range of styles that surprisingly all manage to hit the nail right on the head when it comes to tastefulness. This is the type of furniture you can invest in for generations as most pieces are timeless and they are so well made you certainly wont need to replace them for a very long time… if at all. The staff is also super friendly and helpful. You can tell they’re proud of the product.

We ordered a bed and nightstand and are very pleased with the service provided by Faveris. They were thorough and double checked with us before the item was built to ensure we had all the options we wanted. The furniture was completed earlier than expected which was a bonus and delivery and installation was done professionally. The pieces look and feel beautiful. There is something special about a piece of solid wood furniture and Faveris does it so well.

What a wonderful experience! The team at Faveri's helped me select a set of livingroom tables, and guided me through the process of finishing them myself. Though the process seemed daunting at first, they helped me to feel confident to take on this DIY project. My second order from Faveri's Winnipeg. Same top quality as the first piece, and Mark and the staff are top notch, very knowledgeable. When you look at the big box stores and the MDF they sell, the difference between them for real hardwood isn't that much. Finishing it yourself isn't hard, if you want to try, just patience, and Mark answered all my questions on the process. Will I order again? YES.

We were looking for a dining room table that was very specific. We wanted a table 54" x 54" but also was expandable with leaves. We found the style that we wanted but not the width. The very knowledgeable staff then worked with us to have their supplier custom make the table for us. We were very please with the resulting product.

Being able to order exactly what you want for type, size and finish is something that is not available in other retail shops. We purchased an oak entertainment unit and and we are very, very pleased. We asked for modifications to a floor model to suit our unique space and need and everything was completed as hoped for. Got a semi custom book shelf. Super solid and amazing quality! It’s nice to have something that can handle more than 15lbs per shelf. And yes, some people have hard copies of books. (But only the good ones, of course) Recommended.
