Having never been here before, I was unaware of how it worked (you order your food and pay at the counter and they bring it to you). There were no signs indicating this protocol so I entered and stood behind the line, waiting to be seated. The two girls behind the counter just stood and stared at me. I asked if I could sit anywhere and then they told me about having to order your food at the counter. I did this (was disappointed that they don't do poached eggs or have turkey bacon), got my coffee, and sat down. At this point, the girl yelled at me across the restaurant "You have to pay!". In front of everyone, very embarrassing. I was expecting to be brought the bill later. Food was mediocre. Would have expected more kindness and direction as I was a newbie. Other customers were treated much more kindly. Also no condiments (salt and pepper) All around a weird and disappointing experience

Found this place to be rather unwelcoming. Went with a larger group and asked if we could join tables, answer was simply “no” you are not allowed to move them. We ended up some sitting inside, some out which was fine because some like it hot and sunny and some don’t. Food was quite good. You younger woman brought all the food out to us and was quite cheerful and welcoming. Older woman behind the counter looked quite annoyed that we were there. Even though the food was good we won’t be rushing back there. Attitude towards your customers is what keeps them coming back, or not.

I am in there almost everyday for my morning coffee. The coffee is always fantastic, The food it amazing, and the atmosphere in the place is very welcoming. The owner is very nice and personable. If you want a great cafe experience. I would defiantly recommend jitterbug. A staple for Waterdown.

Once in a while I try going to another coffee shop in town and am IMMEDIATELY reminded why I always end up at Jitterbug Cafe. It's such a friendly atmosphere, service is great and the food is great (especially the summer salad!!). Why do I even try other places? I won't make that mistake again. Jitterbug, consider me a regular going forward!

We are so thankful to Lori @ Jitterbug Cafe for catering our families celebration of life event❤️ During a difficult time for our family Lori was so very helpful and caring. She made this part easy to manage and of course the food was incredible! Not only did it look very nice everyone enjoyed every bite! Thank you Lori and staff for all your loving and hard work❤️

I had never been to the Jitterbug Cafe before, but was meeting someone there and they have recommended it. I ordered a delicious hot chocolate, it was more than I had expected and they brought it over to my table. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We had Deli Sandwich and Norwegian Lox. The Atmosphere was great and food was good!! Very cute Cafe. My friend and I haven't seen each other for a while and talk for a long time. Thanks for letting us stay without feeling like we should leave.

Had breakfast this morning for the first time in years. Great fruit bowl and a fantastic latte! My friend thoroughly enjoyed her breakfast as well. Great atmosphere and a very friendly staff. Felt like a small town cafe in the best possible way. Will be a regular here going forward! Especially now that they’re open until 5.

Delicious food that totally hit the spot! We stopped in here to grab a bite and a little caffeine kick before going hiking, and it was such a nice cozy atmosphere.

Simple but delicious menu! We enjoyed Cheddar and Bacon Omelette, Jitterbug Breakfast, and Greek Salad. The sausage and omelette were flavourful, the whole wheat and rye roasts were crunchy and fresh, and so were the salad. Highly recommended and we will definitely visit again!

Lovely place to grab coffee. Enjoyed my chai latte. There’s a small seating area indoors as well as a nice patio. Mainly offering savouries, but a few sweets are available (brownies, muffins and tarts).. friendly staff

Awful food, burnt bacon and burnt eggs, by far the worst brunch we've ever eaten.
