I had to get ink fingerprints taken for a background check required by a visa application, and the KC Police Crime Lab made the fingerprinting a simple and hassle-free process. Within 10 minutes I was in and out, and the fingerprinting only cost $14 (whereas Merriam's police department would have charged $35!). The lab only offers fingerprinting Tues-Thurs from 8-2 on a walk-in basis, but there was absolutely no wait for me. I highly recommend getting fingerprints taken here!

I needed fingerprints for a visa, and the staff were so friendly and efficient. It cost $16 per set of finger prints. Make sure you know what kind you need, (ie FD 258.) They provided the FD 258 card when I said I didn't bring my own. As of December 26, you can walk in anytime 8-4 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday for finger prints.
