Where to begin? I adopted the sweetest, most loving, darling tortie from a local rescue, and she already had an over-grooming issue. I was so worried about her. I took her to one vet - not the best experience. I knew I needed a second opinion, so I scheduled a virtual vet visit and that vet was wonderful and referred me to Dr. Centers at Kings Crossing. TOTALLY WORTH THE 40 minute drive. WOW. The vet tech (I am SO sorry that I forgot her name, because she was so kind, and great with Momo, and really thorough) and Dr. Centers were both FANTASTIC. Not only did they take her history from me, listen to my concerns, and address them all, but Momo was completely at ease with them both (she was NOT with the other in-person vet, at all), so they were able to give her injections with no fuss and no fretting (on either end)! I feel so confident that, in the event that the steroid injection (on top of her previously-changed diet) do not help, I know I can take her in and they will do all that they can to get to the bottom of this. I would 100% recommend them to anyone. Honestly - I have medical issues, and it is painful to drive for too long, and I don't care. I will go there in a traffic jam, in the rain, in the sun, whatever. Also (I am writing this during the 'after times' of covid), they still offer curbside, and even if you want to be inside for the consultation (of course I did!), you can wait in your car until the room is ready, and the facility is so nice and roomy and clean and bright. Soooo yes, they are so good that I am babbling.

Our dog does acupuncture with Dr O and at 14 1/2 years old, our old lady baby runs around like the young her that she was once minus the gray muzzle!! She now has more energy and is happier and pain free most days!! Above all, I will never forget the kindness from this staff…this clinic practically held my hand when our other dog was diagnosed with a terminal cancer that took her much faster than even I keep up with. It’s still hard for me to talk about TBH. My two kitties go here too and see Dr B and they don’t complain either Also, my 14 year old dog that I mentioned above has second stage renal disease and this hospital has also worked closely with me to come up with a diet that works well with her illness and a proactive/supportive acupuncture and Chinese herb treatment plan that my baby is responding well too. It has in fact been a trial and error process with some pet foods we’ve tried and it’s been overwhelming at times getting a handle on the digestive issues with all of my pets in the past year but the doctor and staff’s sweet, compassionate demeanor is easy to work with and my pets are doing great today including my old lady baby! My review may be long winded but the truth is I could write on Kings Crossing Vet Hospital for hours. They are real super hero’s fighting for the pets and the best care for them. ‍♀️

My parents and I have been bringing our pets here for 7+ years, but no more. My dog went in for a surgery this morning for what I was told was under Dr. Stephanie Johnson’s specialty only to receive a call 3 hours later that my dog had died under anesthesia. I know this review won’t bring her back, but I also feel the experience I had should be brought to awareness as my parents have had issues with service recently as well. The explanation I received was that she went under cardiac arrest… from my own personal experience working in a vet clinic, this typically happens due to negligence - being left under anesthesia for too long or not properly monitoring. My dog barely turned 7 years last month, was extremely playful, and had no health issues relating to her heart. In addition, she was just in for another anesthetic procedure in February and was fine. Point is, this shouldn’t have happened. By no means do I feel this was intentional, but I don’t feel I’m getting the full picture; I’d have appreciated some more accountability. My only comfort is knowing my dog fortunately didn’t feel any pain and was in a deep sleep. In fact, she trusted the people at this clinic despite having underlying anxiety. I also had trust in this medical staff, but I can not continue with bringing my other pets here.

I've searched for a quality vet for years since moving from Frisco Texas to both San Antonio and now Porter. I have to say this is the best vet visit I have had in 25 years! From the front desk to the vet techs and the Dr., everyone was spectacular. Dr. Stephanie Johnson was outstanding. I have always owned German Shepherds and unfortunately every vet in 25 years has immediately put a muzzle on them as soon as they walked into the room, without ever determining the dogs temperament. Dr Johnson walked in and greeted Koda with a smile and a pet and gave him the time to meet her prior to any exam and there were no issues. She established trust and Koda responded accordingly. The techs treated him the exact same way. Dr. Johnson listened to my concerns and provided clear concise information and a thorough action plan to address what she believed to be the issue. Its to early to see any improvement (2days), but the way everyone treated Koda and I made the experience the best I've had in Texas in a very long time. I would highly recommend King's Cross Animal Hospital and if I wasn't moving again, they would be the only place I would go.

Solid 5 Stars Edit 3: Was contacted by Kings Crossing. They apologized for the issues below, communicated the issues to the entire team, and actually stated what they will do going forward to amend the situation (If repeat caller, transfer call to someone else ASAP). They even offered a free nail trimming for our puppy. While the 50 minute drive is long, it is still worth it. They actually listen. Edit 2: Email works better than phone calls, but they still don't even reply in a timely manner. This place is inconvenient if you live more than 5-7 minutes away. Edit 1: After calling multiple times and waiting over 15 minutes with each attempt, it's unfortunate that I have to reduce the amount of stars because it is impossible to get a hold of Kings Crossing. Even when the daycare my puppy attends tries to call Kings Crossing, they give up and demand I provide them physical paperwork. Original: This place is the Chick-fil-a of Veterinarian Services...Kind, Quick, Clean, Streamlined, Reasonably Priced, and full of polished individuals who give you confidence that everything will be alright.

If you want a good vet for shots, deworming and basic stuff then this is your vet! Bedside manners are good also. But when it comes to life threatening events you might want to seek elsewhere. My boy Joe was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Took them too long to diagnose him. Kept us coming in and doing the process of elimation. Meanwhile the clock was ticking. When they took a biopsy of his prostate we had to keep calling to get results. They werent calling us. Finally a vet call on our vacation to tell us our Joe only had 1 to 3 months. (YES JOE WAS ON VACATION WITH US) They refered us to an Oncologist however the wait time too long. So we searched other Oncologist. Found one in Pearland for two weeks later on a monday. That sunday prior to the visit we had to rush Joe to a emergency clinic to lay him to rest. It was horrible. I asked my wife why dont we have pain meds for our boy. She said she didnt think of it. The vets office should had kown to forewarn us They manage to get 1,300 too1,500 for all the pain staken test. We have a second pup. We will be finding another vet.

My family has been coming here for years with multiple pets (dogs and cats), for both veterinary care and for boarding and grooming, and they are the best! Everyone is SO nice, and genuinely cares. They remember our pets, and treat them as their own. We generally see Dr. Johnson, and I can’t say enough good things about her! She’s such an amazing diagnostician, always making sure she approaches a problem from all possible angles, and so thoroughly explains what she’s thinking so that you can make an educated decision about your pet’s care. But we’ve seen all of the vets there, and they are all incredible. You can’t go wrong! We also have been so impressed with the boarding and grooming team! It’s so comforting to know that we have a place to take our pets and can trust that whatever service we need, they are in the best hands.

We had a few questionable experiences with Kings Crossing both in the boarding and wellness care. I spoke to the manager and I was assured that my experience was NOT how they did business and to please try them again. 2 1/2 months later we did. We came in to recheck a skin tag that we were told was totally normal (now it's cancer and a very expensive procedure needed). We asked several questions that didn't match our last appointment and we were told that it is written on a laminated sheet and then transferred to the computer and some things do get missed. This was a HUGE miss. So disappointed in how they run their business, especially with the advertisement of treating your pets like family. I do not agree.

I scheduled a boarding reservation for my cat well in advance. We went through several questions over the phone including that he had diabetes and would need medicine daily. I received a pre boarding form to my email a few days before the reservation date which I filled out. They then called me the Friday before my Monday morning reservation to tell me they had to cancel my appointment due to not having anyone trained to administer his insulin. Realistically, they are probably a fine boarding place but they totally screwed me. I would double and triple check everything is set well before your appointment if you are going to use their boarding services.

My dogs and I love this vet SO much! My dogs have seen all of the doctors and I have had amazing experiences with all of them. They truly care about their well being and they don’t break the bank. I made the mistake of trying out another vet- huge mistake. I was only reminded of how amazing the Kings Crossing team is and how I don’t want my dogs anywhere else. The techs are so sweet too.. make you feel so comfortable. Vital pet, thank you for taking care of my dogs from puppy shots to my older dogs mange. Even dealing with curbside with covid 19, they made it very easy and still provided 5 star service.

This vets office is great if you are there. But if you have an issue or some kind of follow up question after you leave, you can forget it. You leave messages, no one calls back. You order something off Chewy, you have to go by there as they don't ever see the order unless you go up there and sort it out, because again, no one ever calls back. If you call and someone helps you, they put you on hold, then it forwards you to leave a message. This has been going on for months and we are seriously thinking about moving vets due the constant issues with the front.

I was referred to this practice by two people: a friend who brings her dogs here and my vet because he doesn’t do gastropexy with spaying and Dr. Stephanie Johnson does the procedure. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience! All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. I wasn’t sure what to expect since we aren’t regular patients of this clinic. But we were treated like we belonged! I felt that Dr. Johnson went out of her way to explain things and make me feel comfortable with entrusting my puppy to her! Highly recommend!

I have been bringing my pets here for sometime. I have NEVER been told there is a cut off to bring your dog in to get groomed. We had an appointment and I brought my dog at 8:45. I was told the cut off is 8:30…you’re telling me that 15 minutes is now too late to have time to do my dog!? I understand hours late but 15 minutes. He usually isn’t ready for pickup until hours later!! I just think this is a really rude way to treat your regular customers. I found the experience ridiculous and frustrating.

Amazing job when I had to put my senior dog down. They were kind and accomodating and sensitive to the situation and had no priblems with me bringing another dog from my pack to the sad event. They are one of the few practices left that puts doen a dog with two shots. The first to relax the animal and then the second that stops the heart. It was really important to me that my sweet girl got to fall into a comfortable rest by my side before the heart stop shot. Thank you, guys, for everything.

We just started going here a year ago and Dr. Centers is the best! She is always going above and beyond for the care of my dog and eases the appointments. We came from another clinic who had just sent us home while Dr. Centers kept our dog for observation to ensure she would be ok with fluids. We came back and she remembered our situation and is so thorough in explaining everything and taking extra precautions! Highly recommend and a plus is the front staff is extremely nice!!

I love Dr. Johnson!! This clinic is great - friendly, clean, and my dogs love it! Unfortunately, the last few times I've made an appointment, I've asked how much I will be charged for the procedure I'm scheduling (vaccines, exams, etc.) and at least two times I've been charged more because they've added in fees. It also happened when I boarded my pets here. I wish all fees were discussed over the phone so I don't end up having to pay more than I was told I'd initially owe..

I had an emergency with my Doberman. We had never been seen at Kings Crossing before, but they worked us in & treated me & my Dobergirl like part of the family. They took great care of her & even gave her a little extra special care. Such a great & friendly staff. Dr Johnson is very caring, thorough, and detailed; never rushed us. I will definitely return as a regular & I highly recommend this facility.

I cannot thank this office enough for seeing my sweet Juno in an emergency situation and being so caring and thorough with her health care. My girl was in pain and was diagnosed with pancreatitis. The Dr. And team ran thorough tests and offered the right medication to get her back to feeling normal. We moved to the area from another state and were going to find a vet office here. Well, we have one!

Dr. Johnson is awesome! She was able to do surgery and remove cancerous lumps and pro long my dogs life. She is so professional and affordable! I cant thank her enough for the care and treatment she has given my dog. Cancer sucks. But she was able to give me options and my dog is much more comfortable now that she is a senior. All of the doctors at the King’s Crossing location are amazing. I am partial to Dr. Johnson as she has been there long enough to remember when my sister, now a successful veterinarian, started working there in high school. I have never felt rushed and my questions are always answered. I trust their opinions. The techs are great too and have been super sweet and gentle with my cats.

Love this place for our pets. We boarded our fur babies for 9 days...the staff is awesome! Our puppy, Tex, was spoiled by the staff but very happy to see us...our cat, Precious, was...indifferent . They also updated our cats vaccines while there. It's great to not only have kennel ammonites and grooming, but, a veterinarian there too! Full service all the way!

Kings Crossing Animal Hospital is the absolute best! The front desk staff is always extremely helpful and always greet you with a warm welcome. The doctors and vet techs are also wonderful. They are extremely knowledgeable, caring, go above and beyond to make sure your pet is taken care of and treated properly. I would recommend this place to anyone I know.

Went in to get a dental consultation for my dog. I was running a whole 15 mins late but I called to let them know and they were so kind and understanding. They were also so gentle with my dog, Charlie and gave him lots of love, he didn’t even mind them opening his mouth to get a look. Our technician was Jen and she was so sweet! Would highly recommend. :)

LOVE this vet clinic for my 2 pups. I recently got my oldest dog her teeth cleaned and was worried about her going under anesthesia. We have used them for years and years. Overall, they have taken good care of my dogs. Sometimes they are hard to get a hold of on the phone, and even to make appointments at times. I had to self treat an ear infection for my dog because they couldn’t fit him in for a whole week. They did fix my dog’s stomach issue. Doctors here are great.

Started taking my dogs here about 8 months ago. And I’m glad I made the switch. The staff is very nice and helpful! My dog had his dental cleaning here and needed 8 extractions but the whole process was so easy. We went in for consultation they were upfront about pricing and what to expect. We set appointment and my doggie is doing great. Super happy with everything from their service to the ease and quickness of everything.

A bit pricey for just nails trimmings. But this is coming from someone who got too used to getting free nail trimmings with checkups. The staff loves animals and its evident. I took my anxiety ridden pup in for a health concern and they were very sweet to him and tried to get him to feel welcome and safe.

Both Dr. Johnson and Dr. Center have seen our dogs for regular, emergency, and elderly care. Everyone there has been super sweet & kind toward our beloved dogs. We feel they receive top notch care here. It is pricey, but we are glad our dogs receive such good care.
