Classist, and Racist Experience I’m a 26 year old Latino man who went in with my roommate to buy a couch for our apartment. We would be using my family’s La-Z-Boy credit card but had some questions. As soon as i said I had questions our associate Denny’s attitude changed entirely to belittling, and treating us like we had no money. I called my mother to ask if she knew the company changed their credit policy and she was never made aware. This wasn’t the issue as we understood things change but the way they talked to us and my mother on the phone was belittling. While her coworkers all gathered around to watch. As soon as I paid the $450 deposit, Debby’s mood changed entirely to a happy one asking about our jobs and how we like it. My mother saw she had 2 charges on the credit card and couldn’t use it but Debby said one was a pending charge and would go away. 2 weeks later the charge is still there and my family can’t use the card. Synchrony told us they couldn’t credit that we had to go to the store itself. I went in yesterday and was told the same thing again that it wasn’t a real charge and would go away, we kept telling them no that’s not what they said. Both Debby and her finance woman Katie both belittled and told us to not worry about it. I asked if there was a way to write a overall review of the experience, was told there isn’t and “that it wasn’t what she intended” and basically put the entire blame on me. We called Synchrony back and we’re credited it back and told that this store is not doing the right process and would be investigating into why a charge wasn’t credited or disputed and we were lied to. Rude experience from the start, as soon as they saw a Latino man come in they treated me with disdain. They all gather around and watch because the store is so empty and they have no customers. There’s a reason this store is 2 and a half starts. If you want racist white women as your associates who will try to steal and belittle than you found the right place.

Debby! Debby! Debby! If you are looking for great furniture with a ton of fabric options and a designer to help you put together the perfect room, please go to see Lazy Boy on Scottsdale Road! Debby is our sales rep and she has been welcoming, helpful, encouraging, happy to give you space to wander, an encyclopedia of information, and worked tirelessly as a coordinator to make it all come together perfectly! We pretty much knew what we were looking for; but Debby offered to come to our home with designer, Lori. They brought the chosen fabric samples as well as other fabric options and area rugs to expand our vision! We wound up choosing an area rug that was outside our comfort zone but along with the other choices, adds the perfect edge to our new room. Debby has been great from beginning to end and with extended wait times for furniture, etc. we appreciate Debby's willingness to keep us updated via text. She is so helpful with suggestions, gave us the best pricing available (better than what we had thought we would get), and made our living room redo painless! She has a great sense of humor and will make you feel like a lifelong friend too. We are SO grateful! Call her!

Scottsdale, Arizona location- I met with one of Lazy Boy’s Interior designers, Jill Morse and one of their salespersons, Anthony Lucero to help me with my quest for furniture to make my living space comfortable and beautiful and affordable! They met all three goals and then some!!! If you are looking for honest, creative input for your home decor and design—LOOK NO FURTHER! It’s hard to find genuine, trustworthy ppl these days especially in sales. These 2 individuals are in this business because they LOVE what they do which is to make their customers happy with the choices they are making! They LISTEN to what you are looking for, they guide you to the products that fit your taste and your budget. They consistently seek your feedback on their input making sure they Are putting the customers wishes before their own. Always respectful, Always professional, and very fun to work with! They are hard working, honest employees that you can trust! After purchasing and receiving 2 rocker/recliners from this store a few months ago, one had a problem come up I wasn't happy with. The highly optioned chair performed fine, but the appearance was changing much quicker I believed it should. The La-Z-Boy service man arrived as scheduled and was very pleasant, but informed there was nothing he could do about a fabric situation and pointed that out in the La-Z-Boy literature. I said ok and contacted the store, they were more agreeable to helping remedy a situation I found unusual for a fairly new chair. I was offered, in my opinion, a very reasonable remedy which I am taking advantage of and awaiting a very good outcome from the purchase. All of the staff comes across as professional and friendly, all involved showed a real interest a good outcome for us. I'm very happy with the result and would recommend the store to any one looking to be fair with them, I think they will be fair or more than fair with you. A very good purchase for us.

Love my LaZBoy couches and recliners, but reason for the low score is this: Do not use LaZBoy's zero-interest promotional financing through Synchrony Bank! This involves setting up a Synchrony credit card account. Synchrony has proven to be totally incompetent. Monthly auto-pay of the defined amount for zero interest on the Synchrony credit account was ignored, and the total purchase amount balance was debited from my personal checking account, which is now severely overdrawn. Synchrony fix will be 3-5 business days. In the meantime, I need to cover the overdraft, and unable to pay other bills or make ATM withdrawals from my checking account. No assurance from Synchrony that this will not be a repeat monthly problem, since autopay was set up correctly and they have no idea why the defined auto-pay payment for zero interest was not honored. I am told that there will be no late fee and no past-due account status reported to credit bureaus. Should I trust them?

The customer service experience was exceptional, from Nina’s assistance with the sale, through Dena’s and her manager’s help with an emergency delivery. We purchased 3 sleeper sofas over Veteran’s Day weekend to accommodate our Christmas guests. Nina was very patient and kind despite the fact that my young daughter had a lot of energy. The sofas were delivered on time but one of the sofas did not fit into its designated room. Dena from La-Z-Boy in Scottsdale bent over backwards to make sure that we had a sofa in time for our guests, despite the tight timeframe. Her manager helped us get a sofa that would fit and did not even charge us for the difference, despite a significant differential in cost. We were amazed!! Their team really cares and went above and beyond to save our Christmas holiday! Thank you!!!! We are so grateful!!! Your quality products and excellent customer service will keep us coming back whenever we need furniture.

I bought a La-z-boy couch around 13 years ago. It’s still in decent shape all things considered but our needs have changed. We wanted a 4 person couch that had individual recliners per person. While we considered different brands we ultimately stuck with this one for a couple of reasons. First, the quality speaks for itself. 13 years for a still functioning couch is amazing. Two, we could sit and feel the options in person versus buying online. Comfort must be measured in person in our opinion. We worked with Anthony to get that done and he was fantastic. Helped us through multiple store visits and indecision. Once we made the decision he executed on our order flawlessly. La-Z-Boy is expensive, no doubt about it. But you can get exactly what you want and it’s backed by a reputation of quality. Basically - you get what you pay for in this space. We’ll be back for our next one!

We met with Anthony Lucero who was very accommodating to our needs as well as going the extra mile for us. He is knowledgeable about the products offered and we never felt as if we were being pressured. We had concerns about shopping with Covid-19 and the variant still being out there but he helped us set up a time when there were very few people in the store to help us feel at ease. We are so pleased with our choices and the options we had to custom order pieces with regards to size, style and the fabric we wanted. This is the way to go when looking for fine furniture that is made to order and will last. Due to the pandemic, delivery did take longer than expected but Anthony was good about keeping us up to date and making every effort to answer the questions we had from start to finish. In the end, the furniture is everything we expected and we are enjoying it.

My main reason for my rating is Katie at the North Scottsdale AZ location. When I walked in I told her I wasn't sure what I was looking for but some of my goals and lightening up my space....as well as finally replacing my 17 year old lazy Boy couch and recliner. She listened and then showcased 3 different items that were perfect and intune to exactly what I was looking for. She then highlighted availability, pricing and if I wasn't 100% sure how to place select items on hold. She was great when I came back a 2nd time for a final and 2nd opinion a few days later. She also helped me find the perfect pattern. My couch already arrived and my new chair should be here in August or September. I also rate 5 as the quality of lazy Boy from my original sets of furniture as they have been in great condition for 17 years....hoping this new set lasts just as long!

Had a fabulous experience buying my La-Z-Boy recliner. I have bought La-Z-Boy furniture before. However, this time my sales person went beyond my expectations. Chrissy Sklavounakis, sales person, was not only very knowledgeable but her approach sold me. She provided me with all the price information I asked for without aggressively making the sale. I kept in contact with her via text. It took me 2 weeks to finally return to the store. By then, the chair was no longer the same price. She went “to bat” for me. She kept great records between our encounters, both text and verbal. Because of this I was able to lock in the sales price. She is definitely an asset to this company. I highly recommend that you search Chrissy Sklavounakis out as a sales person if you decide to go to the Scottsdale La-Z-Boy store!!!! 5 star sales person for sure!!!

From the moment we were approached by Anthony in this store we were made to feel very welcome and just as if we were family. He was very understanding with what we were looking for and took us right to the perfect furniture for us. Even though we looked at several other sets we went back to the one he suggested and it fit us both just right. Anthony has been in contact with us to keep us informed about the progress of our order. And he arranged delivery for us at quite a distance and at a very reasonable price. We didn't have to do anything except decide on the furniture and he has done the rest. We are so pleased with,our experience in the La-Z-Boy store and the followup by Anthony that we couldn't feel better. We have been L-Z-Boy customers for 40 years but we are now a loyal customer also of Anthony. What a pure pleasure.

Our experience with La-Z-Boy was exceptional due to our sales associate, Anthony, and his product knowledge, attentiveness, and keeping us updated about our purchases. He greeted us warmly, asked about our needs, and left us to browse to our hearts content. No pressure at all. He would periodically check on us, and when we were ready to discuss our choices, he gave us his undivided attention. When asked for his opinion, he impressed us not only with his product knowledge, but his eye for color coordination and design. We had purchased La-Z-Boy furniture in the past and returned because of the quality of their products. And just having purchased our forever home, we needed some additional furniture for our bedroom and family rooms. Thank you Anthony for helping us turn our house into a home.

I had a pretty La-z-Boy recliner and I wanted another one in the same fabric. Unfortunately the fabric was discontinued, but my salesperson, Sabra, was such a good listener, she showed me another recliner in an almost identical fabric that was such a good price, I could get 2 new chairs. She also, pointed me in the direction of the perfect chair for the corner of my room. I didn't see any fabrics on the floor that worked in my room, but she pulled the perfect fabric out from the samples. It was so me and will look fabulous when it's all put together in my room. All this was accomplished in about 20 minutes! Great experience. I just wish the furniture industry wasn't so overloaded with people decorating. I won't see any of these chairs before June.

We love La-Z-Boy products, we purchased a sofa bed from them 3+ years ago, and the fabric has endured 2 little dogs that scratch the surface without any issues, tears, or wear of fabric. So of course we went back to them when we bought our new, larger home that required additional accent chairs and tables. While we haven’t received our merchandise yet, it ships 03/10, we expect the same excellent quality. What made this particular experience especially pleasant in the North Scottsdale showroom was Nina, our sales rep. This woman is not only filled with product knowledge, she was terrific to work with. We will return to North Scottsdale, and Nina again as needed!

I recently purchased a sofa and loveseat from La-Z-Boy in Scottsdale. I was greeted by Nina when I entered the store and she was absolutely fantastic to work with! She was super friendly, but NOT pushy at all. I think I sat on every sofa in the store before making my decision. Nina let me take my time, checking in with me periodically to see if I needed anything, and made herself available to answer all of my design questions. She was so helpful in my final decision and I couldn’t be happier with my new furniture! I will definitely shop there again and will definitely work with Nina. Thank you, Nina, for making my experience so wonderful! You are amazing!

well lazyboy deserves an update to my post below. the store manager ray and my sales associate cindy have been working diligently behind the scenes to resolve the situation. i am grateful for their help. this is the lazyboy quality and customer focus that i had grown to expect. thank you lazyboy! i waited months to get my sofa, then after a few months of service the recliner stopped working, it took a month to get a service tech to look at it, he said it would take a few weeks to fix, then lazboy said 6-8 weeks for parts. i complained and they said they would send out a new one - in 2 to 3 months! terrible quality! terrible service!

I was scheduled to have major surgery and needed a electric recliner so I could sleep at night and be comfortable. I went to a few stores and decided on a Lazyboy recliner. The manager, Ray, explained that due to the covid-19 it was impossible to guarantee delivery prior to my surgery date. He set up a loaner for me in the event that my recliner did not come in on time. I had the loaner for a few days, and now I have the recliner I purchased. I was very happy with the customer service I received. Everyone in the store worked as a team. I love my recliner. I highly recommend the Scottsdale store, and the La-Z-Boy brand.

La-Z-Boy saved our sanity! We had been searching for a new couch, went to several different stores (Bob's Furniture, Living Spaces, etc.) and struck out everywhere. Every couch we sat on at different stores either felt cheap and overpriced, was uncomfortable, or downright ugly. When we walked into La-Z-Boy in Scottsdale, we instantly knew that would be our last stop. Amy was our furniture expert and she was very patient and understanding with us. She took the time to get to know us found us the PERFECT couch to fit our needs. We also ended up with the most comfortable recliner we've ever had. Even our cats approve!

This a very well managed, well staffed, and well appointed store! Our salesperson, Amy Flosi, was most attentive and helpful but not at all pushy. She listened carefully to us and discerned our needs. She patiently demonstrated various mattress options and analyzed the suitability of each product. Unlike most of our experiences with salespersons, she was a real pleasure to work with. She was both professional and polite, alert and attentive. and had a very good knowledge of her products. Probably the most outstanding thing about her was her genuine concern in helping us select the best product for us.

I can’t say enough good things about Lazy Boy. I ordered several pieces of furniture for my living room and I couldn’t be happier! The furniture is beautiful and well made. Service was impeccable! Chris kept me updated on expected delivery dates and Lori the interior designer was extremely helpful in creating a beautiful and functional living space. I appreciated her input in selecting fabrics and matching accessories. I noticed a small chip in the coffee table a few days after the furniture was delivered and Chris ordered me a replacement. Service was impeccable and quality is outstanding!

As current owners of La-Z-Boy furniture, we knew when it came time for a new sectional where we were going. While we generally knew what we wanted, we were so lucky to work with Cindy to narrow down what we purchased. Between colors, types of fabric, and the various layouts, Cindy not only provided insight and input into our decision making process, she also reminded us of other factors about the room the sectional would go in so it would be a perfect fit and we'd be happy with the look. Not only will we continue to be La-Z-Boy customers, we'll be asking for Cindy.

Anthony was great! I had a time constraint and he was so efficient, organized and responsive. He had great taste and made wonderful suggestions. He is very familiar with the products which made the sale dipper easy. We love Lazy boy chairs. We both have back problems and have models with great lumbar support and neck support options for position. We always get the power and swivel option is available. We now have 4 top of the line chairs!!! I do wish they had some lavender fabrics but I am satisfied with our choice. I would recommend Anthony to anyone!

Bought two matching leather recliners from a different Lazboy store many years ago and they’ve held up well. I no longer have those recliners but I have an upcoming shoulder surgery and have been told I’ll need to sleep in a recliner for 4-8 weeks so I went shopping here and found a recliner that I could sleep in forever! It’s got a remote wireless adjustable headrest, footrest and even a lumbar adjustment. Although the prices are much higher than I’d like to go, after looking at some other stores, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Nina at the Scottsdale Rd location was super friendly, knowledgeable and kind to us on our first visit to the store. We looked at the different sofa configurations and fabrics and she whizzed around the store with tons of options. She listened to our likes and dislikes and suggested new options w ease. We took advantage of the locked in price option with $200 down which made our decision to buy from La-Z-Boy much easier. We can’t wait to go back and finish our selection with Nina. I’m just at the beginning of my search to replace living room furniture plus change out a hide-a-bed in my extra bedroom. I knew La-Z-Boy has quality furniture. Kristi was very helpful and patient with this initial look. I learned a lot. There were many items I hadn’t thought about like the depth of the cushions to fit my leg length. The more I visited with Kristi the more I understood what style I really liked too. So I’ve narrowed my preferences down to just a few. I really appreciated her guidance and pleasant sales style.

Kathy was so friendly and helpful! I didn't feel pressured at all. I was ready to find a sectional and make a quick decision and she helped navigate me through the process. In and out in an hour! AND she was even able to get me the couch earlier than expected! Loved the store, staff, and experience! Edit 1/2/2021: the electric remote for one chair went out 2 months ago right at the 1 year warranty cut off. I have gotten the run around from the service department since. Won't purchase a piece of furniture from La-Z-Boy again.

Anthony greeted us immediately as we entered the store and as he visited with us, he asked about our interests and informed us of the store's special pricing on the tags. He was very knowledgeable and was attentive, but he also allowed us to browse at our own pace. We had a picture of an item and he researched and found it for us, so we were able to also purchase that item! All in all, we were very pleased with our shopping experience and with Anthony's professionalism at the Scottsdale La-Z-Boy.

Dena, the Sales Associate and my Designer, Lori, were amazing. I loved working with both of them to transform my living room into the 21st century - lol. The decor that Lori put together for me was perfect. She thought of decor that I might not have thought of initially but she knew that I would love. I am so glad I booked my free consultation for Design Services and I am overjoyed that I was able to work with Dena and Lori. It was a great experience and very deserving of a 5 star rating.

I ordered a reclining sofa and was considering a rug that was 6 weeks ago. Now it seems my sales lady Janice is pissed with me because I don't want the rug and there holding my sofa that is paid in full. I just don't like being brow beat I never paid for the rug and it's not customized so why hold my sofa hostage? I'm very upset with these people. Moral of the story is be very careful when dealing with these people that are more than willing to keep my sofa past Thanksgiving

She was professional, knowledgable, enthusiastic about the product and brand she was selling us...bottom line...we made the custom made purchase and plan on going back to to complete our home furnishings for our new home...Chrissy Sklavounakis is an asset to Lazy Boy and should be acknowledged for it. I was quickly approached by a sales associate, Amy. I let her know what style of sofa I was looking for and she was able to quickly direct me to the sofas that matched what I was looking for. She also took the time to sketch a rough layout of my living room and got an idea of the colors I used for decor. We then went through samples of fabrics that we thought would work well. She was patient with me and made the process easy. Excited for the sofa and loveseat to arrive.

We were purchasing quite a few pieces of furniture and spent several hours at the store. Our sales person was so patient and thorough in showing us everything we might have an interest in, and was supportive when we said no on a style and simply moved on to the next. He was very helpful in our fabric selections, and patient with us during that process as well. My husband and I have never experienced such thorough customer service in a furniture store, it was wonderful.

We hadn’t planned on visiting La-Z-Boy when we went to look for an oversized chair. But thought- why not-We’re here- as the store we had planned on was closed. We were welcomed at the door by Kristin, a sales associate. She asked what we were looking for. She knew her products so well- it didn’t take us long to find just what we were looking for. Every minute of our La-Z-Boy experience was easy, delightful and perfect! Thank you Kristin. What a pleasant surprise.

I visited the Scottsdale AZ showroom twice during the past week. On both occasions, Kristi D. was my sales associate. I simply cannot say enough good things about her. Kristi made every effort to make sure I selected the furnishings which met my exacting specifications. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I had two very pleasant shopping experiences. Tristan was also extremely helpful with arranging for deliveries. What a great team!

Today we bought a power recliner for my 84 year old mother. We were assisted by Kristi and Anna. They were unwaveringly patient as we tried nearly every chair in the store and then asked for comparison pricing on a variety of custom options. In the end, we left having found the perfect chair that met my mother's physical needs as well as her aesthetic preferences. I would highly recommend both of these ladies as well as Lazy Boy as a company.

Saw some of the negative views on Yelp prior to visiting the lazy boy store on Scottsdale road. Boy were they wrong big time. Sabra and the whole staff for that matter was extremely customer friendly. Very informative and knowledgeable on the products. I would recommend this store to anyone in the market for high quality furniture built right here in the USA. And, with their huge sale going on, I got outta there for under four grande. Almost.

In May 2021, I special ordered a chair from the Scottsdale, AZ location and my salesperson was Anthony Lucero. He was incredibly patient as I looked through styles and patterns and made several excellent suggestions regarding fabric selection. He stayed in contact with me over the months of production and kept me updated on the status. He was highly professional and caring and I would highly recommend seeing him for your furniture purchases.

My experience was great thanks to, Cathy!! I called he Scottsdale store after surfing the site, I was looking for a specific couch and a color, Cathy informed me there was only one left! So I got in my car drove down to the showroom, tried out the couch. It was perfect! I like shopping at Lazy Boy because I know I’m going it get a quality product. Thanks to Cathy, I was done in less than 30 minutes, with a delivery date in just a few days!!

We were very pleased with the attention we received from our salesperson Fabiana. She made an effort to find out what we wanted and helped us make an appointment with a designer. She was respectful and knowledgeable. I especially appreciated that she was realistic about the long wait for custom orders. There was a tremendous variety of furniture on the sales floor, so it was fun to look. I look forward to the appointment with the designer.

My mother and I came into your Scottsdale location today in search of a recliner. We were quickly approached by Nina Minsel, who asked my mother what she had in mind, and directed us to exactly the right chair. Nina was very patient as my mother and I discussed which color would best suit her decor, showing us colors and offering helpful advice. It was a very pleasurable experience, and we would definitely seek out Nina for any purchases.

We went to La-z-boy as we have purchased several items in the past and are very happy with all of them. We met with Amy and Lori to help with the design we would like in our newly renovated condo. They were so helpful and gave us some great ideas and they very knowledgeable and showed us a great design for our small living space. We can’t wait to receive our furniture. Should we have a need for more pieces we will work with Amy and Lori.

Finally “finishing” a room in our home. Returned once again to La-Z-Boy for their consistent excellence in product and service. Had the great fortune to have Amy as our sales consultant who listened, suggested and helped us with our purchases. Amy is a kind, professional and knowledgeable person who took the time to know us, identify our needs and ultimately closed the deal. Can’t wait for our new furniture to arrive! Thank you Amy!

Recently Dena and Erin were aware that we were not totally satisfied with the purchase of a bed comforter and took it on their own without being asked, by us, to order a replacement. Shob, how are you a manger with your disgusting, negative energy personality. If you are having a terrible day, I would suggest to La-Z-Boy to take you off the schedule. Your disrespect is absolutely beyond me. I am not sure if you are going through a traumatic life event, but please; do not bring your energy to your customers. Never coming back here again. Your furniture is not worth working with you.

Nina was attentive to my specific and time sensitive needs. She empathized with the situation while providing great input on which product would be best. She brings both a professional and sincere personal touch to ensure a great customer experience. She also ran after me in the parking lot as I had forgotten my color samples ( my pillow and sham) which would have caused me an extra trip.

We were so lucky to walk in and get Nina. She really helped us navigate the difficult world of a recliner. My husband wanted something that would go in your grandparent’s house but that would be a terrible choice for our renovated space. She helped meet both our needs and surprisingly we walked out with both of us happy. Part marriage counselor/part salesperson Nina was the best!!

I’m very disappointed with my recent purchase from La-Z-Boy. I can not get an answer regarding the delivery date. One time I’m it has shipped then its still in a box at the factory. It’s going to take much longer than what the sales representative tells you. I’m told they can pick up my old recliner, then told they won’t. Very sarcastic people in the north Scottsdale store.

I was very glad that Lazy Bou had many styles to choose from. We were looking for a sofe with a shorter set depth and they had one that was just right. Anna, our sales associate, was very thorough in showing my husband and I the products that would work for us. She took the time to listen to our needs, gaving us great options to work with without any sales pressure.

If you live anywhere near the Scottsdale La-Z-Boy area, stop in at the North Scottsdale showroom. Anthony is the best! No pressure, he is knowledgeable (especially on care of your new furniture). Awesome experience. And don’t be fooled. La-Z-Boy is not just about lounge chairs! Their showroom is full of furniture. Go see Anthony. It was such a great experience!

Stopped by originally just to kill some time waiting for another appointment elsewhere but was very impressed at the tremendous selection of quality furniture. I ended making a purchase of a wonderful recliner. At some point I will purchase additional pieces. Love the Lazy Boy store and very pleased with Nathalie, my very helpful sales associate.

Great experience from start to finish. Anthony was very knowledgeable about the inventory and steared us in the perfect direction. We ordered 2 chairs and will have delivery in less than a week. Great sale prices. We had a chair from them before that lasted 14 years. Bought one from Ashley and it broke in 18 months.

Ask for Anna at the North Scottsdale Rd location. I told Anna what I wanted. Anna showed me everything that was available and a purchase was completed. It’s very reassuring when a salesperson knows their company’s inventory, takes their time and listens to the customer.

Overpriced! Also, the chair broke two years later. And the only way for me to fix it was to take it to a warehouse on my own, wait a week and then go back and pick it up. This place is ridiculous.
