Our stay at The Lakes was outstanding. Special mentions to Trevor and Zac, they went above and beyond for us when it came to service. Wow. The atmosphere was great, loved every aspect of the stay. The bed was super soft, too soft for me but they quickly remedied the issue for me without hesitation. Daily hot breakfast was a stand out. It was so nice to be able to go downstairs and start the day with a lovely meal overlooking the lake before having to leave the hotel. There was an indoor pool and spa but we didn't use these. We preferred our own private spa in our room. Enjoyed the Westfield shops across the road, met some lovely locals during our stay. We will definitely be back, maybe next time with the kids. 10/10 Thank you Lakes team for an unforgettable weekend.

Spacious room, came with spa which was so lovely we enjoyed it morning and night. Balcony with lake view, nice and quiet exactly what we wanted. Room had a mini fridge which we filled with our own snacks fruit etc. Complimentary coffee tea hot chocolate available in the room also. Room serviced daily. Staff were happy to provide extra linen and blankets when asked. They also had a toothbrush available as my husband forgot his. They gave us a complimentary bottle of wine which was a really nice touch, delicious SA sparkling.

Outstanding food, so so delicious. Highly recommend The chicken Bao Buns and the Barramundi meal YUM! The bread and butter pudding was so good too. The complimentary breakfast was a stand-up 5 star, hot and off the menu approx $25pp usually. Juices coffee and tea included. Fantastic value. Food was served so fast even with the restaurant being over 50% full.
Noteworthy details
Westfield shopping centre across the road, walking distance (nice and big everything you need when shopping). Lovely view of the lake and rowers going back and forward. Lovely fireplace and lounge area down by the sport bar. Good location, 20mins to the city and Glenelg. Pokies, sport bar, pool table, two restaurants (TUNKI is more classy and quieter, very cool vibe but too fancy for us). KNOTS was more of a tavern vibe and family friendly, there were kids there it was louder and busier. We ate here morning and night for the entire stay.

The atmosphere and setting of the hotel is lovely. The views of the lake from the hotel are so beautiful. The rooms are clean, tidy, modern and well maintained. Their breakfast at The knots restaurant is 5 stars. Excellent taste and presentation. Though portions could be increased the food is great. Their other restaurant Tunki has such a nice vibe. The customer service though with some staff we have interacted with is disappointing specifically the receptionists and some of the waiters at the knots restaurant. They are disinterested and don't even have a smile on their face. The receptionists have poor customer service and poor knowledge of the hotel and their services.

Our family stayed for six nights at the Lakes Resort Hotel and loved it. Lovely spacious rooms with gorgeous lake view. Bedding is comfortable and a spacious bathroom. Extra bed available for children is a bonus. Accommodation includes breakfast (option of hot or cold breakfast, tea, coffee, juice included). Breakfast was lovely and you have a few options to choose from. Hotel has a couple of restaurants which is great. We dined at Knotts and found it lovely, prices are average not cheap but not too expensive. Free icecream for the children when dining. Bookings are essential during holiday season or school holidays for dining. Great location and Westfield shopping centre next door. Overall nice experience staying at Lakes Resort Hotel and will return when visiting Adelaide.

Spent our Anniversary night there last night as we love to stay here. The rooms all have balconies that you can sit out watch the activities on the water as well as watching the sunset. Couldn’t speak more highly of the staff. We also received a bottle of champagne to our room for our Anniversary quit unexpected but much appreciated. Thank you again for that. Will definitely be back as this is our favourite hotel & accommodation.

Fantastic location for everything you need. The food and service was wonderful. The only drawback is that the rooms are outdated now. We have stayed here many times over 20 odd years or maybe more and find the bed was uncomfortable and seemed like it was an original one thats been there a long time. A few little things like the volume for telly and music never worked in the spa bathroom either.

We rated Lakes Resort Hotel as the best value for money accommodation during our Adelaide holiday where we stayed at a number of other motels as we travelled around. Nice, modern venue with a lovely waterfront view. With QR table ordering available, it makes for less congestion around the place during meal times. The meals took a reasonable amount of time (considering we had a large family gathering and there were other customers besides us), and my meal was generous and delicious.

Booked a table at Knots Kitchen at the Lakes Hotel with my family to celebrate my birthday Sunday night. After 1.5 hours we were asked to vacate the table (in an abrupt manner, and with 5 min notice) to make way for other diners. Spent over $190 (3 people) and yet to order coffee and desert. Do not recommend this venue.

I was so looking forward to going here for a meal but was very disappointed all 3 of our meals were below average. The karage chicken was very dry and small. The Singapore noodles were salty i couldn't even eat them. I'm actually really scared to go here again to eat. Maybe go here for a drink but not food. More

Never considered the Lakes Hotel as a restaurant destination, thought it was a relic from 1970s Delfin development. Boy was I wrong! The dining room and lounge/bar area is filled with natural light from the huge clean glass windows
