Today I went to Lidl at London Road and at the till I asked for 20£ cash back and the lady at the till told me to put the card and I used the contactless. At the moment that I made that the lady told me from a very rude way, almost screening that she can't do Cash back. I looked at her and because I didn't know the reason why she couldn't do it because nobody explain why I said for her - thanks thank you very much and I went to the exit. When I looked back I heard the lady staying to the next costumers that I made a mistake and now is her fault. I was not happy with the situation and I told - You was very rude to me and I just said thank you very much and if I was rude is because you was rude before to me. After I saying that comes a man that I think is a manager shout with me saying - Don't came back where again. That man didn't listening anything that happened before. How can he screen with a costumer like that. What's this? Racism....?

I love Lidl on London road and i often go after work to shop and look around at the middle aisle. I work in the Royal Hospital its such a stressful time at the moment with every think going on. I park in Q park and on Wednesday the 16th of September i went after work to Lidl to do my weekly shopping and to look around. And then on Monday the 21st of September i came home after another stressful day in the hospital to find a letter Civil Parking Charge Notice saying i was only allowed to stay there for an hour and i exceed my time by 16 minutes so therefore there charging me £ 90 pound if i pay it with in 2 weeks its £ 45 pound. I'm speechless. angry, upset, annoyed, so thankyou Lidl for that letter and i will never shop there again.

Can the management sort the tills out finally? Put the Cash button somewhere in the corner of the screen for the staff? If yous are not willing to make a refund process easier! As to take money yous are quick but to give back few days for us to wait? The staff are brilliant from what I've observed for the past few years, management? No not really. The new bags are horrendous twice now my shopping appeared on the floor, please bring back the old ones that kept shopping in. Is this all on purpose to ruin Lidls reputation? Cause that's all the management of the shop are trying to achieve by the looks of it. Put away customers from the Lidl that's the moto of this shops management. Sort the bags out ASAP

If it was possible to give 0 stars I would.. Very rude and racist staff ! We went to this shop to buy food for breakfast and we had just entered and a staff member came up and said ‘dont mix things up’ when we had not even touched anything and just entered the shop, in response it was asked where we had done this to which he walked away. Talking to the manager did not help either because the manager was making excuses. Lidl in my area would never treat customers like this, it was apoorly that this wasnt a one off situation as the day before we had also gone to Lidl and received very rude customer service. If you are white then you are potentially okay from being followed and treated with disrespect.

Been going to Lidl for a long time now and although they seem to have stock issues and the certain items like yogurt drinks and certain biscuits seem to always be out of stock Your employees more than make up for this with the professional and friendly demeanor are your employee named Josh working at 9:30pm 4th Feb. Not sure if he is new or not but I had some Issues paying with both cash and card as my card had only a certain amount of money and I Had to pay the rest of my balance in coins. He was really helpful and friendly and directed me swiftly and clearly to the right till. Great supermarket but could definitely use some better restocking of certain items!

I'm finding it hard to trust in any supermarket giant TBH, as they're all involved in the plazy bag scam, howz 10p on a bag, that doesn't even hold much in the way of weight, gonna prevent anyone from needing a bag to carry their shopping home and yeah, advertise the market giants in the process c'mon get real and don't camouflage your own ripoff scams with the government and environmental issues, FYI the "free" bag was an insensitive to use the store and why the customer tolerated the advertising on the bag FS! Whose gonna be the shopper's favourite and get the paper bags in, or at least sell us a suitable carrier bag that will actually carry the shopping,

I pop into this store to buy a few bits and seen two mangers walking round one called Liam and the other called Alex i know there names because they had name badges on. They drew my attention because they were very flirtatious together I asked for help off them both and I notice they disappeared quickly into the back of the store think I could be the wearhouse I walked by to get some help and there they are kissing and getting it on, Lidl paying top wages to managers to get it on in the back. I will never visit this store again because of the poor customer service theses gave me and will tell everyone I know to avoid this store

  • Lovely Jobbly

Some shop assistants have a very sour behavior, some of them are very arrogant with customers. She is an elderly woman shop assistant who is very arrogant and speaks repulsively with clients. Also, the security guy has the same behavior.Another problem is that the discount products do not apply when you get to the house to pay them, the products remain at the full price instead of the discount. At this shop, the manager and some of the store staff should be changed All shop assistants and their manager need to have a warm and courteous behavior with their customers.I hope my suggestions are considered by LIDL.Thank you.

  • Jd Singh

Lovely store, incredibly helpful and friendly staff but also very inconsiderate to the locality during their ongoing renovations, and the short term closure of their car park... I live opposite the store, and of late, have been subjected to deliveries being made in the middle of the night by delivery drivers who think nothing of shouting at the top of their voices, and today they had workmen with a drill, trying to remove the huge sign with their opening times on it, between 0630 and 0730... A little respect for your neighbours and customers during the renovation process, would not go amiss...

  • Kath Kelly

The so called 'manager' of this store is a disgrace! For no apparent reason he accosted me and told me I was not allowed to eat in the store. I wasn't eating but had in fact just come to the store following a procedure that involves spraying the back of the throat with anaesthetic, which could have given rise to his mistake. That aside, he was extremely aggressive, threatning, rude and totally unprofessional. I feel genuinely sorry for the people who work in the place. They all look miserable as sin!

  • Anna N

I need to change the rating from 5 to 1 star (0 if possible) for the use of predatory parking company ParkingEye by Lidl, who charged me for overstaying 1min, although I was a genuine customer who spent £60 in one shopping! I have 2 little kids and mobility issues and it's just unreasonable to demand 1hour parking only! It's outrageous, beware everyone using their car park!!! Also, it used to be 1.5 hours and they changed it to 1hour without any clear signs showing the change!

  • Mandy Williams

Great shop. Lots of choice at such low prices. The low prices do not reflect on the produce on offer as it is all at a very high standard. The bakery section is a must with so much choice that is so fresh and so cheap. The smell of the freshly baked bread hits you as soon as you walk in the shop. There is a minimal wait for service with a self service option too. Staff are warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Fully recomended for all your daily shopping items.

  • Bella

In general, Lidl is great to shop at and this store has a wide variety of cheap products. But the understaffing in this particular store is a consistent issue. Staff are barely on the normal tills, even though the queue for self service check outs can end up near the end of the drinks section. 90% of the time when I visit the queue wait time is at least 5 mins which sucks a bit when you're just nipping in for essentials like bread or shampoo.

  • F T

Another lidl, another convenient place to get your groceries from. The bakery is still my favourite part of the shop, with a wide variety of items freshly baked on the day at very affordable prices. So many types of bread to choose from, croissants, mini pizzas, flat bread and more. All the basic items for your daily shop are here, with self service tills at this store makes the experience more efficient too.

  • Jaden Carty

So this Lidl might not always have the most stock, however it does have an amazing team member, whose name I don't know but his like a tallish brown haired guy and idk what his face looks like because he always has a mask on bit his a true MVP because of his always chipper demeanor and great customer and most of all because he saved my certificate and kept it safe after I forgot it by the tills

  • Simon Hawkins

Every time I go in there, there is a old homeless man who offers to sell me gear. I've told him numerous times I didn't roll with that stuff. But he doesn't seem to remember. Some kid once asked me to go buy them alcohol. I thought I'd do my good deed for the day and they gave me £20 but it was in change. So i went in there and got them some vodka. But when I got outside. There were gone.

  • Melanie Hughes

Nothing special about this shop, its a lidl that sells cheap, less than quality products, except with this place, like me, if you leave your car in the car park for even seconds longer than 60 mins you get a £90 fine, i accidently left my car in there for 64 mins and was fined. Id much rather pay £3.50 for the entire day and park a few streets over and do my shopping elsewhere.

  • saplingessentialservices

Lidl is good. Parking restrictions in place and very strict so check. EV chargers are available. Close to many shops and restaurants. Close to city centre attractions. Items run out very quickly as it is close to student accommodation and university. Next to bus stops. Buses to all major destinations can be boarded here. 10 mins walk from Liverpool Lime Street Mainline station

  • D Filipe

I'm used to go to Lidl in different countries from Germany to Spain, Ireland, Portugal. Here I find a regular store with regular prices with a lot of local British brands quite different from the stores in other countries more continental focused and were Lidl is a strong discount supermarket. That's true we can find the Lidl own brand but not much as I was expecting.

  • John Scott

Lidl is a great grocery store branch. The management in that specific store though is terrible. The Bakery is almost empty whenever I visited it. Every time certain sections are out of products... The employees are randomly replacing empty products without really caring that other sections are empty. For all these though its the Management to blame in the first place!

  • Leanne Hague

Good supermarket and a very convenient location as it's right next to the bus stop. Plenty of fruit and vegetables at quite cheap prices. There are some vegan options in the freezers but not very many and although there were a few plant milks on offer I could not find soy. Nice selection of spices and sauces. Bakery looks great and the prices are very reasonable.

  • Ray_ Rastgou

Visited the stOre in LiverpooL, the gooDs are chip and variety choSes but people could walk in without mask on and tHere waSn't any 2 metres disTance and so peOple coUld just walk to Each otHere and sO oN. I THINK THEY NeeD TO INVESTIGATE ON THIS AREA OTHERWISE THEY MIGHT HAVE TO CLOSE THE STORE. APRT OF THIS STUFFS ARE LOVELY and shelfs were nICE AnD TIDY.

  • Shams Khan

This lidl re-did the interior some time ago. So now I get a bit confusing to where things are. I guess I will get use to it in time. But generally it's clean... generally stock is toped up as well but that's not allways the case. It gets busy at times mainly with student. Therefore you will have to que for a lot longer then usual..

  • Andy H

Always use this store for essentials before or after work. But please will you do something about disgusting shoppers who handle the bakery products and then put them back. I've seen this far too often as well as coughers and sneezers in this section. It's totally unacceptable and in this day and age a serious health hazard.

  • Tony Byrne

This is the worst shopping experience in liverpool. Uninterested staff, making fun of customers in a group at the end of self check out aisle. People waiting at till for ten minutes before someone arrives to process. Young people with no interest, no skills, and no communication skills. I'd be ashamed if I ran this shop.

  • Rasha Swadi

Discount supermarket chain selling grocery items including Fruit & Veg, freshly baked bread, Meat & Poultry, Dairy, tinned goods, household cleaning products, pet food, frozen products, drinks, spirits and wines. The staff is very polite and helpful. The place is clean and tidy. Very happy to shop there every weekend.

  • Deana Williams

I do luv lidl although the prices sometimes chop an change an wen sum prices go up it's alot. I spend quite a lot in lidl an i cant c my bourbon vanilla ice other new flavours r out but i cant find vanilla icecrream an i no it's petty but i've tried all other flavours an i we all dont like them. …

  • James O'Shea

It's a big store with a wide range of stock, easy parking and handy for the shopping centre. Downside, there were a few products not in stock, e.g. non-bio washing liquid, disinfectant and some beauty products. But it's a regular shopping stop and we get the other stuff elsewhere. Also, good value for money.

  • Rachael Kin

Hard working staff. Efficiently managed. Commitment to the service they are providing. Some customers on the other hand are shockingly abusive toward the staff, whom handle conflict with great professionalism. Staff need more recognition for the abuse they have to put up with from the public.

  • Mike Grabarek

There have been price errors many times and, unfortunately, very often there are great shortages on the shelves. Very crowded point, so I visit this store only when necessary. A new Lidl was created in my area and that is why I have such critical observations in relation to this Lidl branch.

  • Kyle Doherty

Perfectly OK Lidl. Has in store bakery. Not the biggest I've been in. Can usually get through self-service checkouts quickly. May have to wait longer if doing larger shop using manned till. Staff have always been friendly. Parking is free for 2 hrs (licence plate detection on entry).

  • Sarah Sarah

Best place 2 buy fresh meats at reasonable prices n luv there coffee but best thing of all is the bakery section luv luv there apple turnovers n everything else n for people on low income like myself is a great place to shop even got my neighbour 2 shop here n she saves a fortune

  • Tony Kinsella

Normally shop in M&S but fell down a man hole in Lord st..ended in Lidl.A very strange journey ensued bumped into Queenie an old neighbour of mine and her husband Jack the hat we had a spot of tea and a few Jaffa cakes.A lively girl on the till Alice. So all n all a nice trip out.

  • Paul Bergin

Always something different on Lidl's good tasty meats and wines reminds us of when we lived in Spain. The shop wasn't too busy but only the self serve tills open. There was a queue of about 25 people waiting to use them. Eventually till 2 opened and things moved quicker then.

  • Elvisdoesfitness

your staff are just weird i was followed round the store is it because i am black?? i am a robotics engineering student at the university of liverpool and also work at a high end retail store i would not dream of giving any of my customers the kind of experience i got today

  • James Byrne

Feels smaller than the Lime St one with a fresh bakery (which I love) and various flavours of week such as Spanish, American & French with some really good macarons & churros. A wide range of poultry & vegetarian, vegan groceries & household products at affordable prices.

  • Darren Wright

LOVE LIDL this place is a boon to life. Amazing quality in "de luxe" brand. Freshly baked everything. Quality fruit and vegetables. Amazing "customer operated orange juice machine " can't get more " freshly squeezed " than doing it yourself. Keep smashing it LIDL.

  • Paul Rushy

Don't think self-serve tills are the way forward! The machine I was using jammed a member of staff had to open then correct the problem the elderly lady on till next to me was getting agitated she couldn't understand how to use till not a good shopping experience!

  • Ahlam A Saad

I love Lidl's bakery, they have various types, shapes, and sizes of bread , also the donuts are so delicious . It is good store, great value for money , clean, and they have sanitising station at the entrance. There is car park as well.

  • Sam (Moose)

Excellent prices, very large selection of food, staff are approachable (although I'm hesitant to say friendly!). The bakery is amazing though, I go there whenever I want any fresh bread/pastries! Also stocks soup for stupid cheap prices (~30p per can!).

  • Jayne evason

Fresh bread, cakes daily, sells frozen food, canned food, milk, eggs dairy products, fish has food from different countries alternatively ,toiletries, pet food, newspapers, magazines alcohol, sweets, cakes washing detergents and much more well worth a visit

  • Wince “Win” Fergo

Visited Liverpool for a few days. Needed to stock up on a few nibbles etc for our planned outing for the day's activity. Googled nearest Lidl and the satnav brought us to this branch. Perfect got everything we needed, friendly staff, plenty parking.

  • Alexander Laird

Absolutely booming with people. Honestly couldn't shop the place because there was a que so far up each aisle you couldn't see anything. Cashier was great. Really helpful and doing everything to make it better for the customer. Just not enough staff

  • Frederick Gibson

Disgusted!! Selected items worth about £15, goes to check out and was told only self service now, doing people out of jobs so I put basket on floor and walked out... Go to Tesco and get proper service every time!!! Won't be going Lidl again

  • Jamie Young

Good convenient supermarket. Very close to all of student accommodation though, and like all supermarkets suppliers don't appear to be as high as they used to be. Empty shelves are not uncommon now. Bakery section is always stocked though

  • Jialin Liang

well, today went shopping again as usual, got so many same kind of veg so i jst put them into bag n thts makes quicker, then a secure came over n ask me politly say i cnt jst put them into bag i have to put it in troly next time n i said

  • reagan ramos

A very well maintained large sized store, with quick self checkout tills and a spacious parking lot for customers. They have a large produce and variety of items available, and are quite likely to have whatever it is you go looking for.

  • Rebeca Villaveces

Very well stocked and organised. It’s a very busy shop. The staff are nice and polite. The queue for the self check line was massive and they only had one till open so there was queue on there too, they should have more staff on shift.

  • shannon

Olsa name of the person on tills you really need to get a move on when serving q of about 10 people and she’s scanning 2 items at a time then sipping her drink like nothing is happening you were actually painful to watch serve tonight

  • MANUEL HERNANDEZ

Today everything like perfect, everything on place, all the shelves full but only one thing, I guess because I arrive in a pick hours and there was a huge queues, 15 minutes waiting on the line. Avoid go around 13:30 pm. Very busy

  • Mohamed Molokhia

Free 90 minutes parking, good lay-out, fresh produce and good prices make this citycentre store a pleasure to visit. I like visiting the gadget shelves where I bought many useful items including a telescope and digital projector!

  • victoria thomson

If I could give zero stars on would. Rude staff. No manned checkouts. Queue ten deep and staff refused to open even one manned checkout despite an elderly man asking as he was totally confused with self checkout. Disgusting

  • Daniel Alfred

Some staff are bigotry, using the communication headset to racial profiling black customers, I don't know if it's a part of the training from the higher up? Racial discrimination is very backward way of living, fix up ❗

  • h s

The worst Lidl I have ever been to, the shelves were almost empty and there was only two workers there, the service was OK not too bad but I don't think I can do my shopping there when I couldn't find what I need.

  • The Researcher

the bakery is very nice and a lot of the products are really cheap there should be more vegan options and I don't know how Lidl manages to get the absolutely same smell literally in any of their shops worldwide

  • David Jones

Usual lidl experience. Bakery is great, some interesting and extra nice things. However, usual Lidl problem charging a premium for fruit that's certainly rotten in the shop. And poor management of stock lines.

  • Azir Xerath

Warm and helpful staff, the automatic checkout machine does not accept 5 pounds banknotes, a warm lady just help me exchange my two 5 pounds to a 10 pounds. Reasonable price with responsible service, amazing.

  • scon ed

Plenty of food on offer and specials middle isle items, not enough tills open though, the staff try and push you towards the self service tills which doesn't make sense to me as it will ultimately cost jobs

  • Satvik Ambre

Lidl is the cheapest place to buy groceries. You want get all the famous brands here as compared to Asda or Tesco But again those places are a bit costlier than Lidl as well. Also it’s open till quite late!

  • Carl Hewitt

Cheap shopping, tend to find it more of a store you go when you need fish not sure if that's their specialty, but decent range. Great for snack food though not a fan of the own brand cupboard basics.

  • P Ash

Great food great prices at Lidl. Not a massive choice but the bakery provides fresh products on a daily basis and the fruit and veg is good quality. Their speciality black grapes are delicious.

  • K H

I can't tell the difference between Lidl and Aldi products. This store has very friendly staff. It is very wheelchair friendly. They have a good range of stock. Recommended store.

  • Beauty Within

Great little corner shop with all the essentials. The quality of the fruit and vegetables is much better quality then previously. The staff are always pleasant and very helpful.

  • Patricia

Good supermarket with fresh groceries and bread. They do international weeks so you can find a varied range of products. Good prices. Easy access and free parking for customers.

  • Patsy Carr

I always spend more than I intend to. Lots of lovely choices in fresh fruit and vegetables. There fresh flowers are well worth the money and much cheaper than other supermarkets

  • Christiana Akingbola

Great prices. Lost one star because face wash was in the wrong part and ended up buying more expensive one which was placed among the own brand ones. Same colour and lettering.

  • Mehrdad M

-ve: always understaffed (even even before the pandemic) causing large queues by tills. Social distancing not put in place as well as other supermarkets. +ve car park, location

  • Dave Jones (KeepingUpWithTheJoneses)

I usually get some flour and yeast, for making bread, at Lidl. Prices are very competitive with other supermarkets and another bonus with this store is 90 mins free parking.

  • Sam Elliott

Good value, but often out of stock and understaffed. One time a huge puddle of spilled milk was just left on the floor and not cleared up the whole time I was at the store.

  • Rachel Living The Law Of Attraction

It was a massive que, even the self service tills have permanent que's. The were no mapal and peacan available at all on 3 days of my visit this week so I'm not going back.

  • Mike Smith

A good sized town supermarket probably more suited to walk-ins than doing your weekly shop, but a very good selection of items. A handy place to go if you're in the area.

  • Richard Midnite

Great site, close to lots of town amenities, with good parking relatively close to university and hospital too, can't fault it really. Staff are helpful and hard working.

  • Andrew Duckworth

great love it nice clean shop good dates on fresh veg and meat only started to use recently but its now my favorite shop still getting to my way round but so far so good

  • Ryelea

No one on the till had to do the hated self check out. Items should be cheaper if you serve yourself after all there's no staff wages to pay. Is this really the future?

  • Rhys Forgan

Good big Lidl however it closed for a number of weeks and I have come back and cannot tell that changes were made, still a good Central city shop for cheap groceries.

  • 2fallguy

Economical though quality food with weekly specials. Staff layed back and friendly unlike Aldi. Security men in recent years have been self important knobheads.

  • Juliet Fox

Lidl in Liverpool near Univesity Hospital is a very well kept and tidy shop. Shop assistants are always there to help and pleasant. Produce always seems fresh.

  • Catherine Needs

A really good range of food at great prices, well located next to the hospital. My only negative is it generally feels messy with cardboard boxes everywhere.

  • SM Salmon

Its ok but seems to be out of stock more than other shops. It's strange. I deffo only go mid week as it seems to be cleaned out on Mondays especially of veg

  • Yaw Adjei Poku

This is a one-stop supermarket where there is something for everyone. It's a nice experience to shop at Lidl plus. The more shop at Lidl the more you save.

  • Camelia Gogoasa

Lidl used to have such great produce and variety, but now it seems that the shelves are mostly empty. What they still have though, it is good products.

  • Joshua Norwood

Great prices and an okay selection. Self-service tills are nice but don't seem to pick up the lidl plus qr code, however- so slightly disappointed.

  • Vivkaa Dimitrova

Free parking 1 hour and then a fine 90 pounds. How to shop for 120 pounds, wait 30 minutes at the cash desk and that for 1 hour. Stupidly invented

  • Dave Osborne

Typical down to earth Lidl ! Seems smaller than some. Free privately company anpr monitored car park restricted to only 1 hour. So beware of that.

  • John Milan van der Bergh

The stock could be better maintained, sometimes a product is restocked only after a week or so which can be annoying. Staff are friendly though.

  • sam corkill

In the last 2 years this shop never seems to have been full of food. The shelves are almost always 50% bare, you can't do a complete shop here.

  • Umm JJ

Lidl is the only place I can buy my weekly shop for a fraction of the price of other supermarkets. Great quality foods, great value for money

  • David Collins

Helpful staff as they didn't use the checkout and you had to self scan with the usual problems and queues. The staff member got us through.

  • Fenil Patel

Everything is well organized in different sections and is easily accessible. The staff is friendly and helps you in all possible manner.

  • tony schofield

Never anybody on a till or around to ask a question of. Self service at its very worse. Take a card if you must shop at this store,

  • Deepak Chacko Jom

One of the most cheapest and nearest supermarkets from Europa student accommodation. A big relief to all students staying around

  • Shafiq A. S. Ali

Lots of cheap and well-stocked items, though I wish they had more vegan products. The chocolate ring doughnuts are delicious!!

  • S S

Don't give enough parking time to do a full weekly shop and you end up with a parking fine- won't be shopping here again !!

  • Siobhan McDermott

Fresh fruit and veg but don't bother with the salad or anything that is bagged. I have noticed it goes off far too quickly.

  • ShanForShort

Really good prices. Definitely improved. Only problem us sometimes many simple things are not in stock e.g. eggs sugar milk

  • Mohamed Elwakil

The quality of the food is getting down not too many vegetables very old vegetables it is not good as we always expected.

  • Alex McKeever

Quirky little store, more set for students. This store shuts for several weeks from 19th December 2021 for a new look.

  • Nathan Shortt

It's a Lidl. Wide range of cheap products. They have a self-checkout, which if like me, you will absolutely love.

  • David Callaghan

Fab, fresh and great value. Love the no-food special offers. But big queues at till, especially at lunch times!?
