While being near I-5 & I-8, Loma Square is stuck right at the intersection of Midway & Rosecrans- traditionally the worst intersection in San Diego for traffic congestion. In spite of that, there are some really neat stores here including Starbucks, Jamba Juice & Einstein Bro Bagels-- right next each other. For those needing longer term nourishment a Sprouts Market helps. On the other side (N) the Native foods Cafe & Guzman Grill will fill your tummy. But now do you have any money left? Go to a new addition to the Square: Dollar Tree. A new concept store I have not seen before, but really welcome to those on limited budget. All the usual items a large supermarket will have... BUT EVERY item broken into $1 packages! See those fancy cookies you like but can't afford the 4-5$ box? Just buy the $1 package (of much fewer cookies, but hey! At least you get a taste) within your means. Oddly enough on some cleaning supplies I see the cost per ounce is Less than the full packages elsewhere... Of course, if this feels too down market for you and yet Sprouts Farmers Market is just too expensive... just exit onto Midway Dr. NW and get what you need at Grocery Outlet! (In Midway Towns Center)

The stores are nice enough. There is a dollar tree or something of a super cheap store in the shopping center. A Sprouts for overpriced holistic items and reasonably priced fresh vegetables and fruits. Though have to say this is the reason for the one star rating; the parking. It is such a trap that I have had a hard time finding a spot to park a motorcycle in the place. God help you if you drive a truck. While the clerks and store employees are pleasant and kind it is the customers that are real ash holes. Of the times I have been there people have got hit while walking across the street. Drivers have hit and run. I have seen people push a motorcycle out of a parking spot leaving it in the middle of the drive area (mine, personal favorite) just to get the spot. No one has any courtesy a complete me first attitude. So moral being be kind but don't expect it in return when it comes to navigating this parking lot on foot or on wheels.

OMG! If you plan on going to TJ MAXX make sure you give yourself plenty of time, because there is soo much to look thru. They have a plethora of different beauty products, soap, clothes, housewares, etc all on clearance for an amazing price every time I go. It's a little bit time consuming to see it all and find treasures, but well worth it for the bargain you get on items that are much higher prices elsewhere, like at Walmart. This is a great store and the employees are very helpful, I would recommend the store highly to anyone who likes to shop, because there's so many wonderful things to find ,five stars !

TJ Maxx: Nothing great to report. I rarely come here and quite frankly, they didn't have a great selection of clothing. It seems like businesses come and go quickly in this centre and this is before Covid. There was a nice clothing boutique but boy when I came back to buy some things, they were longgg gonnnnne. So was the place next door. That whole Midway/Rosecrans area can be dicey. (Weirdo Definition: An insane, possibly dangerous person). Lots of that going around these days.

Another shopping mall, oh how the day goes on. I find my self hopeless scrolling through my Google contributions app hoping to write a meaningful review, alas it is not to be. Another shopping mall Ive been to needs to be reviewed. It is a conundrum, do I simply say I haven't been to remove it from the feed thus losing the points? I think we all know the answer to that question. So, anyways this shopping center also had some decent parking and good shops

  • Nicole Bradley

love Loma Square there is TJMaxx there and there is HomeGoods HomeGoods is my sister and eyes favorite place to go the parking though is not so great you what you drive around for a while trying to find a parking space and everyone is falling for the same space but once you park and you're able to get in there it's worth it just go early so you can get a parking space don't cope between the hours of 10 and 1 because you probably won't find one

  • Kristin Young

I shop here all the time: at Sprouts, Ulta, TJ Maxx and Sally Beauty for the most part. These stores are well-stocked and have helpful, friendly staff. While these stores are great, the parking lot is the worst. Or rather, the aggressive drivers are, so I time my trips here to avoid them as much as possible. Overall, though, it's not a deal- breaker as this mall is convenient and has everything I need. Happy shopping!

  • Aurellia Rose

There is an overall fine selection of stores and restaurants. Most of the staff I have interacted with is friendly and helpful. Entertainment like GameStop, a greek restaurant and many other food places (including an Asian buffet), clothing abd furniture shopping available, and coffee shops make this a convenient shopping center to go to. Whenever homeless people make a ruckus, security is always on point and quick.

  • Kelly Buzby

I didn't go to everywhere in Loma Square. I did go to the yummy buffet and it was the best buffet I've ever been to. I go at least twice a month, because the food doesn't taste like buffet food. They put care and quality into every dish I've had there. They have great sushi, ribs, Chinese, salads, Cod , salmon and ice cream with about 7 different desserts selections. All 4 $10 a piece before 4 O'clock.

  • Charles Chiles

When I go to Loma Square - off of South Rosecrans and West Midway - I find a large shopping Square with myriad department stores and small restaurants. I usually frequent Jamba Juice, which serves up a number of the best smoothies in San Diego and Sprouts: Sprouts is a market replete with many of the best and most popular health foods that anyone can find. To be continued...

  • Mark Milliner

I really like the whole Old Town thing. Literally, anything an individual would want, can be bought, rented or leased right here...So much of San Diego's history started right here. Plenty of small friendly shops...Just 1.3 miles to the Pacific coast and the famous coast line boardwalk. Loma Square, many nice shops. Ample parking. Worth a day out shopping with the fam.

  • Mark M.

I live right across the street from this shopping mall and I shop in about half of the stores here. My only complaint is that I've been disrespected by the security guards more than once thinking I'm homeless because my dog was with me. I would definitely look into this because both times they ran my business away from this spot for a few months each time.

  • Russell Heister

I visit Loma Square once a week. It actually has everything one could need at great price points. TJ Max and Homegoods are exceptional. Having a dollar store and Sprouts balance each other out. A beauty supply shop, pet shop, car wash, Oh Reilly Auto parts, and Michael's are across a street so you can knock out alot of errands in and around Loma Square.

  • Silas Morrow

It's not perfect but there's a little bit of everything here to satisfy. It has the local GameStop in the area and the dollar store is a pretty good one. Carl's Jr is always good and there's a healthy new vegan restaurant there too. If you need a pharmacy there's a CVS and if you need over priced groceries then they've got you covered too with Sprouts.

On the way from San Diego Airport to my daughter's house in Oceanside, we stopped at Bevmo! to get some alcohol for my daughter's birthday. A week later, we stopped at the Chevron station on the corner to top off the gas tank in our rental car so it would be full when we returned it. It's our annual route to celebrate birthday week in our family.

  • Tim Patrick

Nice place to shop and is usually very busy during the daytime. Parking is not always easy to find, but there is a passage way next to the DOLLAR STORE, for walking, that leads to plenty of parking in the rear areas of all these stores. Watch for unsavory people in this passage way and in the rear areas of these stores I must warn you though.

  • David Struss

This is not an easy shopping center to get in and out of in my opinion traffic is bad in the area. And the parking lot is rather small but my optometrist is located in this shopping center now so I have to go to at least once a year so I make sure I'm getting an early appointment so that I can find a parking spot easily.

  • Diana Slaughter

Loma Square offers a lot of stores to choose from. CVS, Ulta, Homegoods, TJMaxx, Party City, Dollar Store + eateries such as Starbucks, Cafe Rio, Pick Up Stix, Carl's Jr. and others. There is a lot of parking available but it can get crowded on weekends and weekday afternoons. Parking is free.

  • D Kroeger

Great local strip mall, lots of various food options including the best sandwiches at Gourmet Bagger. Sprouts, CVS and even a Homegoods. multiple stops in one spot, but beware of the traffic on Rosecrans, can make it tough to get out. Hint- go out past bagel place/smoothies on the south side.

  • Cindy Adams

This is a great shopping centre. You can fin so many stores in this area. Like grocery stores, gas station, retail stores like tj max, dollar tree, Ross and Marshall. There are restaurants where you can satisfy your craving either for a healthy meal or if you decide to have a cheat day.

  • Rodger Beard

Rosecrans is a complete and utter traffic nightmare. However, and most surprisingly, once inside the Loma Square center itself the driving aisles are wide and uncrowded. Lots of shopping. No empty store fronts. Plenty of parking too near the HomeGoods store where we.were going.

  • Gregg Fajardo

I Like This This Shopping Center. Yup You Can Come Here To Eat @ The Several Restaurant's And Eatery's. Oh Yeah You Can Get Your Haircut. I Seen A CVS Pharmacy Here. I Seen The Dollar Tree And TJ Maxx Store's. I Also Seen A Jamba Juice. I Totally Recommend This Place.

  • Jan Evans

I really like this shopping center. Stores are not hidden look very clean and presentable. Good parking no.fee. I believe a handicap person wld have no problems navigating this area. I think shopping here would be an enjoyable experience. It always is for me. …

  • Aaron Winchester

This is a great little shopping center with the exception of all the homeless people that hang out here. There are good days when the security is actually doing his job and keeping a mom away in this the other Days where the security asleep in its little office.

  • Michael Garcia

Sunday was busy, plenty of stores, went to dollar store had plenty of selections, plenty of parking but had to be very careful no one stops for backing up vehicles. So patients is the word. But was waiting for someone to finish their medical appointment at CVS.

  • Sammy Simonton

I could not tell who works there or if they are just the customers. When I did find the person who really works there, she was absolutely a gem. She even help me find what I was looking for. I'm thinking, not bad at all, with the store full of customers.

  • Mergatroid Grundfeld

The crew is very young. But they are always courteous and do a good job inspite of being often very busy with people. The facilities are clean with good access. Parking can be some what hectic as Loma Square is very busy and crowded from many shoppers.

  • Susan Stegmeier

Nice clean store plenty of selection of most things but there was no food aside from what was in the refrigerated cases. Maybe they were sold out or they don't carry much at this store? Otherwise I didn't have to wait in line and cashier was very nice

  • Dyana Davis

I love shopping at TJ Maxx / HomeGoods! However I've noticed that lately the prices are getting a little ridiculous. These stores are suppose to be affordable that's the whole point of them well that doesn't seem to be the case these days. …

  • Skurvyninja

With a sprouts, dollar tree, and a pickup stix these place is great for bachelor's. It also boasts a new Mexican resteraunt coming soon. Parking looks ample but it's not enough for this area. Look for more around the corner next to the tiny gym.

  • Kayla Friend

I frequent the Dollar tree quite a bit I'm a single mom with three very needy children and I can find almost anything I need for my household and other miscellaneous items here at this location I'm also a big fan of party City and Jamba juice

  • JAMES ISHORIBO

I recently visited this shopping mall and I must say, I was very impressed! Not only did it have a good variety of stores that the average person can afford, but the huge, clean parking lot had lots of free parking. The anchor stores, T.J

  • RedBullKC

Excellent TJ Maxx to shop at along with many other stores! We found several items we were seeking out while visiting the area! Not the best store we'd ever been to, but it fit our needs! They were stocked well thru and thru! Very nice!

  • paul foster

So many stores to choose from. This shopping center also hosts one of the best HomeGoods in San Diego. One the best selections of items and really good deals. Also if you're in the mood for Jamba Juice, hey that's right there as well!

  • Miriam M

Worst shopping experience of my life. And I do A LOT of shopping. I went in to return jackets I had gotten the night before because we had a boating trip the next morning. Long story short our trip was cancelled so we didn't need the

  • Hank Tuipala

The square house is my favorite Buffet in this part of town. I was born and raised in this area and I remember when it was a Sizzler. I've been visiting us location from childhood and yummy buffet was very good addition to the square.

  • Melanie Loveland Boda

Wasn't offered service at any of the deli areas. A lady that worked outside the deli saw what was happening and asked me if I would like help. I would have left if not for her. Prices were ridiculous. I won't shop there again.

  • Devron Hunt

The stores in this complex are pretty decent, the low rating is because almost every time I've been here finding a parking spot is ridiculously difficult. Maybe my timing is bad, either way I don't enjoy coming to this place.

  • Jamie Young

Not the greatest neighborhood - some sketchy characters in parking lots and some stores, but many stores have security guards at the door. Just mind your surroundings in the parking lot. Good stores for one-stop- shopping.

  • Bianca O'Brien

I love what this shopping center has to offer, but the parking almost always sucks. Currently they have party City, sprouts, home goods, world market, Sally beauty supply, the dollar store, GameStop, and a few restaurants.

  • somit bhattacharya

I was there to have quick grabs of groceries at Sprouts. The place is well managed, neat and tidy. Almost all the items of daily needs can be found around. The place is close to all the freeways and easily accessible.

  • Zane Williams

Loma square is dirty with homeless people everywhere. Smells like urine because they don't clean the side walks. Another example about property management companies and owners now having any respect for shoppers. Sad

  • Timothy January

Loma Square Barber shop is awesome .the staff is fun friendly and very social. Teresa is one of the best barbers all the world. I highly highly recommend this place I wouldn't trust my hair to anyone else but teresa

  • Jeff

It's a great shopping center if you are looking for a CVS pharmacy, homegoods, sprouts, TJ maxx, barber shop, Ulta, GameStop, several dining options plus a few more businesses with a decent sized free parking lot.

  • Maryanne Sagnella

This was truly the 1st. Time out of at least 6 times we have gone that the food was absolutely delicious! Maybe under new management. My husband and I both think that's the case. Keep it up and we will be back!!

  • C P

Tj maxx is great for the wife to shop and get nice dresses and jewelry while I look at the art and kitchen items. The toy section got smaller so my son was not happy but overall good place for mens underwear.

  • Sammie Hawk

I hate, hate, hate this parking lot! It is always so crowded and hard to get a parking space. I love going to CVS and Dollar Tree, but the parking makes me want to avoid this shopping center altogether.

  • Lisa Cleverley

Loma Square has just about all we need . CVS, ULTA Beauty Supply, Sprouts Grocery Market, and a couple of new as well as established food marts (fast) which I'm not into. I PREFER RESTAURANTS.

  • T “Iguana” C

Depends on the time of day whether parking is good or not. Drivers speed through, or stop right in the middle. But the parking spots are nicely spaced and there's a good selection of stores.

  • Kathleen Kothman

Anna and all the barbers are fantastic, always do a great job and really care about their customers. Great cuts and prices, check this place out I highly recommend Loma square barber shop.

  • Ruth Jones

Lots of good stres and plenty of parking. There are several fast food places offering great choices. There's an awesome bakery with delicious treats. Also a very good Chinese Food Buffet.

  • Randy

I pretty much just go to sprouts, but there are a lot of decent stores in the square. Best time is early in the morning because that area is nothing but congestion.

  • Miriam Lopez

No way....this store needs to have employees that care. Too unorganized...messy shelves and displays. Nothing displayed in a manner that would call your attention.

  • David Ah Sing

Sprouts Market located in Loma Square has great produce and gives Whole Foods competition. They have a nice butcher section with a goodly amount of fresh seafood.

  • Tiffany H.

I went to the Sprouts here. Which is very clean, but like most Sprouts small on the inside. Also, parking here can be challenging if you come during the weekend.

  • Joseph Johnson (Joe)

Great location, lots of parking, easy highway access, and a plethora of retailers offer an easy and affordable alternative to Walmart and Amazon.

Parking is extremely expensive. Nothing noteworthy, just a slew of tourist shops selling overpriced items that can be found anywhere.
