A lot of stores I frequent over the years have cut corners on the material they use to increase their bottom line. I noticed fabrics are lighter, jeans are cut thinner to the leg to reduce the amount of materials used, even though it is the same cut used over the past decades. Belts are not even made of leather anymore and are glued pieces of cardboard. The final straw was when my belt started falling apart and I noticed it was made out of cardboard. The glue they used wasn't good enough and the belt fell apart after a couple of uses. In all my years, the belts I encountered were all made out of leather. Enough was enough and I decided to give Mark's a try because they cater to people in the construction industry. Clothes need to be well made and durable. I picked up a belt and inspected it, the label said it was made from genuine leather. I was sold. My visit was nothing but positive. At the checkout they had a 25% off everything sale and I wound up saving a few dollars on top. It turned out to be cheaper than the store I bought my cardboard belt from. The staff was very helpful and there were a lot of them busy stocking the shelves and merchandising. Some of them even stopped to say hello to see if I needed any help. My only disappointment was that I couldn't find a fitting room, so I tried on the belt in the middle of the aisle. Overall, it was a good experience. I think I will pay them another visit next time I need something. The store definitely is at the top of my list.

I went here about a week ago to purchase my work shoes, but unfortunately they didnt have it. And it wasnt a location issue, seems like it was a widely famous shoe and it was out of stock in almost every location nearby. When I walked in, I approached the cashier to ask questions about a coupon I had and how to use it. She was incredibely friendly and nice and thoroughly explained everything. She then asked another associate to assist me in finding the perfect choice. I waited at the back of the store (the work shoes section) for a few minutes until an associate came up to me. He said that they dont have it and he checked all the locations nearby but they have my exact size. However he did find one a bit bigger than my size at another location and called them to put it on hold for me. The staff were incredibely helpful, kind, and professional. I was looking for other safety gear as well but in some sections the store greatly lacked variety of products and many of the goods were pricey. Overall, a really enjoyable experience!

I felt that the overall customer care experience is lacking at this specific location. My specific experience was with regard to my checkout experience. For the purposes of my record keeping, I had asked the clerk to provide me with a physical copy of the receipt and a receipt via email. I understand that clerical entry mistakes are not uncommon, I had proceeded to insist on accurate data entry and had even provided my drivers license to help populate the email address; to ensure accurate entry. Regardless, the clerk was not able to execute the task as I have yet to receive my receipt days later suggesting the email entry had been made inaccurately; he had been more concerned with taking his break than ensuring adequate customer service. So overall the shopping experience was alright,as other employees had prompted me with questions for assistance within the store, however overall the quality of service could definitely be improved upon as explained above.

Ok... yes Mark's dundas st someone is giving 5 stars. The 5 stars is based on my experience with Chantal ( might not be spelling that correctly) Chantal was quite helpful, but also not overbearing. She was the only one who helped me looked for the boots I came looking for, and when it was realized that they were completely sold out she made other suggestions for me. She helped me find a couple pairs to choose from that were only $10-20 more then the ones on sale I had come looking for. I can be a little, surly at times and she was patient im sure she could sense that I just wanted to find a pair of boots and be on my way. So the 5 stars is for Chantal, not for the store. You did an excellent job, im super happy with the boots. Customers reading this, seek out Chantal to assist you. I could add a whole bunch of suggestions for the store owner/manager but im not getting paid to do that, sorry.

The staff here were fantastic! Friendly, good sense of humor, and most important of all, they helped me find what I was looking for pretty fast. I don't shop here a lot, but always a good experience when I do. UPDATE: JUNE 9, 2023 I can't believe how consistent this place is. I went in last week to buy shoes for work, and found the perfect pair -- great fit, great look -- that nobody would ever guess were high quality, affordable, steel-toe work shoes. Plus I went home with three good quality cotton shirts because the price was so good and I couldn't decide which color, and short- or long-sleeve so I took em all. I've worn and washed them since, and they still look and feel new. Plus Triangle Points just sweetens the deal! And the staff, as always, were helpful and friendly and not a single one was on their cell phone. I need to come here more often.

It was my first time in Marks and I looked around and couldn’t find if they have formal dress too. I walked towards a lady who was organizing some of the jeans and politely asked her “Sorry, do you have any work dresses?” She responded with a high tone that “I’m not working right now. I will not start to work until half an hour later!” She could have said yes or no and then tell me she can’t help any more. When I walked away from her she told her colleague to help me. But that was a very bad experience. I don’t know if in general that’s how she responds to customers or this tome she felt like I will have a lot of ask from her that she couldn’t respond with a yes or no! I even treat people on the street asking for an address better than this. So disappointing experience. I don’t think that I would ever go back to Mark’s.

Great location for those who do not drive as it is connected by an underground tunnel to Dundas Subway station. It also has a Canadian Tire next door. The reason I gave only 4 stars is because I didnt realize that they rebranded the entire Mark's stores. This may be my fault but I went downtown expecting to get steeltoe workboots and work gloves at this Mark's work warehouse store and realized it is simply only Mark' s and they no longer sell anything but regular clothing and shoes. Also one other reason for one star reduction is because although I have been there about 6 times to buy items I was only asked on my last time if I collected Canadian Tire points. Didnt realize you could get Canadian Tire points there but the cashier told me that I should have been asked every time since the chain is owned by Canadian Tire.

This review has to be good since I was able to find my women’s workers shoe CSA approved here. It was a struggle for me to find the right shoe that’s comfortable and steel toe. I searched everywhere from Canadian tire to foot locker, but I found them here. Luckily they had my size available .. and I bought them. They had a good sales on Levi’s jeans and winter sweaters. I liked how nicely everything was arranged. You can reach Here through Eaton Center passing the food court court there will be a sign that says Marks and it allows you to enter directly from Eaton Center. I also found some winter jackets and shoes here best suited for men and women. They also have belts and wallets for men

Couldnt rate Mark's 0 Stars so unfortunately I had to grant them 1 ... ordered boots 2 weeks ago. Said 4 to 8 business days to pick up in store. Called after 8 days they domt know where they are ... or when theyll be in store. They dont really know anything except that they have no idea where my boots are. Horrible service store never answers the phone so you have to call the toll free number. I'm a lo g time customer but never again. After they've decided to tailor more to clothing than just construction items their service has gone downhill. What a disaster after 10 years of being a loyal customer. Never again it's been a constant downhill spiral

Worst store ever in service and customer service... I order an item fromThe store to be picked up from there..... it’s a mint and still didn’t get it .... staff and management are clueless to when or why the items hasn’t arrive.... today I went to see if the item arrived, the store closed for TECHNICAL PROBLEMS..... they said the system is down but I don’t thinks that the only problem..... I guess that the reason many stores are closing down or once you walk-in it’s always empty ( all the store).... I guess GIANT TIGER is taking over specially when it comes to customer service

I wish Mark and I hung out more often. He seems like a cool dude, but too bad he's inconsistent. If you buy two small coats of different styles, one will be an inch bigger than the other. I guess Mark's mom in China, who made the coat, is in a different factory than his stepmom who made the other coat. I think they're using great techniques and awesome technology but I really wish a small was a small. Thanks Mark, hope you get lucky tonight! You're so much better than her... She's superficial (and has height issues, she only likes you because you are tall).

An awesome Mark's outlet. Employees in here are very friendly and very very helpful. I just asked for winter shoes, where in most stores I get shown the aisle number or just the direction, in this store, the guy guided me to the aisles and not just that! He showed most of the winter shoes, explained the features, temperature marks, slippery or not, everything! I wasn’t expecting that much of service! The lady in the counter was very friendly as well. A great store and recommended.

An associate at this store made my day today! I ordered a big pair of boots to the store, but have since injured my knee and cannot pick them up because I can't physically carry them. The associate consulted with her manager, and they are shipping them to my home tomorrow - I already got the Purolator email. I am so grateful! I need my good winter boots more than ever now so I don't slip and further injure my knee, and the lovely woman at Mark's is making that happen. Thank you!

Never again, will I order something from Mark's online. You guys have started to use Canada Post... these guys are brutal to deal with. They absolutely do not care about delivery or service. Mark's has great products, 70% of what I wear comes from there :) But unless you can assure me that delivery will be anyone but Canada Post, I will be ordering from anywhere else. I would sooner buy an inferior product than deal with the terrible service Canada Post provides.

I visited this place once and wasn't completely satisfied with the sales they announced they had! Otherwise the place has many items from different brands... actually, personally would prefer other nearby places without any hesitation, especially with the big varieties in the downtown area. Staff are nice, though. I visited the branch located in the Eaton Centre, I wouldn not strongly recommend this place as mentioned above not in the downtown area.

Make yourself a favor and don't order at this store if you value your time. They will ignore your first call and take forever to bring your order. I called to tell them that I was outside to pick up my order. They asked all the information for the order and told me they will be there in 5 minutes. I waited for 20 minutes and my order didn't come. I called them again, they asked again all the information and then said they would come.

If I could give them no stars I would. Ive order my uniform here and Im trying to call them. No answer. To see why they werent answering I personally went to this store and called them within the store, what did i see? Coworkers laughing and just talking to eachother while they stand by the phone thats ringing. Ive never seen this type of customer service where all they do is ignore the phone and customers.

I don’t shop much here, but from my last dealing I know the store customer service is quite good. During the new closure, the store will be selling only essential items, like industrial products. For example, you will not be able to buy instore a dress hat, but you can buy a hard hat or visibility vests etc. The store hours are updated as mentioned on google maps.

Never found myself standing around long without someone coming up and asking if I need any assistance. I ordered a pair of pants on the 31 of December (2015). It's now the 19 of January 2016). They said it would be 5 - 8 business days and maybe longer due to the Christmas rush putting a huge toll on their system. No biggy. But every time I call it's never there.

I had purchased Levis on-line which had arrived with the security thingy still attached. With a quick and friendly receipt check and subsequent removal by Cameron at Eaton Centre, I was in and out in under five minutes. Aside from this first in a lifetime snafu, all else was consistent with my typically positive prior experiences with Mark's and this location.

I'm not a fan of all the products here, but for the most part they are well priced and have quality materials. I would like to see them improve their marketing by focusing on kids clothes too. Originally went in to browse, informed by staff everything is 30 % off including sale items. Came across super deals, BEST DEAL, $80. sweater for final price of $6.92. Needless to say and $62. later I happily walked out with 8 ITEMS OF QUANTITY CLOTHING .... And above all, the staff were pleasant handling my more than numerous inquiries and questions.

Great customer service at this location. Even on Black Friday at its peak we didn't have to wait at all for someone to help find the products we were looking for, and they were quick and efficient. The store was tidy despite the amount of customers, and the checkout lines appeared to be moving quickly. I definitely recommend this location.

I found a good winter shoes here and nicest sweatshirt at well discounted price. Other stuff here is also good and they are running sales during year end time. Quality of the product is good. This can be preferable store for many. Staff here is polite and quick to assist. Some products are out of stock and some are too costly. Good to go.

I went to this location to pick up some scrubs for work and after a few days I had to exchange a few items. A staff member Dean (I assume he is a manager there) was helping me with that and he was very efficient, helpful and customer oriented. My overall experience at this Mark’s location at Eaton Center was great and I will be back.

His behavior seemed rude, and I couldn't shake the feeling that it may have been influenced by my ethnicity. When you buy a product at this store why does the printed and digital receipt have a jumpstart price? A base price of a fixed dollar amount and then the actual price of the product? this is one of the worst Mark's Store, staffs are following customers, and even on FEB 6 at about 9pm, they call Three Securities, whereas I saw very few customers. So, I felt disturbed and did not buy anything and left, like other few customers.

Fully accessible by elevators from Dundas, this store is packed with all sorts of goodies. Special attention to the Copper Sole socks which have been available for several years and glad they still are as they provide a warm and comfortable fit.

There is absolutely no women's work clothes. It is a woman's fashion store and a men's construction clothing store! Very disappointed! Don't shop there if you're a woman who needs actual construction work clothes
