"The store is nice and big, but the staff needs better training on customer service"
"SUPER long line during the WEEK! I'm not sure if staff were moving fast enough but still 4 stars because of the following"
"Absolutely some of the worst customer service I ever encountered, I went in asked a sales rep, and he claimed he was busy, a female sales rep offered to help so I asked my question and it was obvious english wasn't her first language and she didn't understand what I meant, that's fine"
"VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THE ASSISTANT MANAGER ELI"
"We always go buy our clothes here, chip and nice styles"
The store is nice and big, but the staff needs better training on customer service. Every time I come here to cash out or return something, the person working never smiles and speaks under their breath - I thought this was just the one girl I got one day but the next day when I came back, the guy I got was the exact same. I purchased a few items and was told I qualified for a FREE tote bag (I really didn't need it but took it anyways because it was FREE). I ended up returning everything on the order because they had a better sale online the next day. I brought everything back (minus the FREE tote bag) and was refunded everything except for the FREE tote bag... tell me how that works? Spent $147, refunded $137. The $10 isn't a big deal but I was told it was free and I really didn't need it so had I known it was actually $10, I would have passed. I told the guy I was returning my order and picking up 2x online orders but I guess he wasn't listening because once he finished my refund, he basically waved me away. I asked him where I get my 2 orders and he said he would do them... then only got 1x of them. I told him at this point three times that I had 2x orders to pick up. I know, retail is tiring but there's a certain standard you except (at the very least a smile and friendly attitude) but I never get that at this location. Better vetting, training and communication are needed from their staff & hire ups.
SUPER long line during the WEEK! I'm not sure if staff were moving fast enough but still 4 stars because of the following. I was in a crunch and had to get a shirt before work. I called ahead to see if they had what I needed. First call: the wait time to speak to someone in the women's section was ridiculously long. Being on hold sounds like dead air and like someone hung up. I hung up from the wait. I called right back and ask the person who answered if they had what I needed. He said yes and without asking him to he actually got someone to get 3 different shirts in my size and put them on hold for me!!!! Super awesome right. So a few hours later I went and got it and it was conveniently at the cash so I didn't wait in a long line for nothing lol. Even though they're pretty much always busy whenever I go, I'd come back for sure. Just not on a day where I had stuff to do. Ou I also got a cash coupon but won't be valid until June. Kind of weird that itwas given in such advance. I usually lose these coupons. Should definitely give it closer to the time. Also train cashiers to not interfere with someone in a rush. If they say they don't have time to sign up for an email they don't have time. Telling them the incentives just makes them disappointed they didn't have time to sign up.
Absolutely some of the worst customer service I ever encountered, I went in asked a sales rep, and he claimed he was busy, a female sales rep offered to help so I asked my question and it was obvious english wasn't her first language and she didn't understand what I meant, that's fine...but the first sales rep suddenly came over and began chewing me out for using THAT tone on her...I explained I can get a little loud but my intent wasn't to be angry or sound offended and that I apologized...he kept going with his little lecture and basically said something along the lines of "if I wasn't working then I would come over and make you stop it" or something...so I asked my question, they didn't have what I wanted so I left...in which he started complaining to his co workers that "he can't believe the kind of customers they get" I went back and said excuse me? He CLAIMED he was talking about someone else, but I don't believe him...I don't recommend anyone shopping there unless they want to get lectured for "stepping out of line"
VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THE ASSISTANT MANAGER ELI. Had a really bad customer service experience! I was shopping for adopt a family some clothing.. First, I went up to him and ask him where I can find the PJ the one on display, he just looked at me and said 'SOLD OUT'. Then I had a tummy pain and need to go to the washroom, went to fitting room and asked if I can put the things on hold, was told to bring it to cashier but there was a long line. So I decided to hide it under some hanging clothes. Eli walked by and asked me what I was doing and SAID 'YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO DO THAT!! THAT'S CONSIDERED THIEF" Wow! I didn't know by hiding some clothes within the store is considered Thief! Then I asked if that PJ pant can be taken down and he said "NO it's on HOLD!" REALLY!!! Looking at past reviews, there were some complains about him ELI, I strongly think the company should really consider if he should be in this field since he has such a bad manner.
We always go buy our clothes here, chip and nice styles. Today we went back there again. We find lovely jackets on 15$ sign. We arrive at the cashier, their the price is 40$. Surprise we ask if they can check the price, finally the manager say to us, it's only 20%, the other sign of dress. So ok we pay the jacket at the price tell. After payment we go back to check the price, and it wasn't very clear because a mix of jackets, dress and tops are on all the area. We go pick the manager only to say to him that it's should go check the area because it's not clear and other complain will arrive because of the huge difference of price. This guy should be under a lot of pressure because he didn't really listen to the simple advice, and kept talking on a defensive way about that he can't do anything for us.
Decent location in Eaton Centre - located on Level One, this Old Navy has 1 floor unit with 2 exits and decent inventory of clothing. It's really organized and tidy. Their items are always on shelf and staff are always cleaning up to ensure everything is maintained. Staff are all very approachable when you need something. Also, I appreciate the separate online pick-up at the cashier that they have at this location as the lines could get pretty long. Returning items at this location was pretty smooth as well. Bring your email shipping confirmation receipt, bring the item to return, staff mentions where it's refunded and off you go. Very effortless at the cash register! There's always a good deal going on at Old Navy, it's so easy to get caught up in the bargains!
I am so pleased with the customer service at this store, I just had to extend my gratitude! I had interactions with 4 staff members. All of whom were extremely friendly and helpful. Each went out of their way to give me the assistance that I requested. Even went above and beyond! I hope I get these names right, the two names I do remember is André (sp?) a cashier, and Marcie, the fitting room attendant. The manager was incredibly friendly as was another staff member that I cannot recall her name. This store was really tidy and easy to navigate. Lots of customers, but it wasn’t a negative experience and the lines were quick, lots of cashiers! I left feeling like I was walking in air because I also found some amazing deals!
I don't necessarily dislike Old Navy, but they're clothes are super cheap, both in fabric and make. Often I start out the day in what I believe is a knock-out outfit from them (pants and shirt) and by the end of the day I'm pretty sure I look homeless - they're pants tend to stretch out over the day so a pair that was super tight on you in the AM is falling off you by the afternoon, and they're shirts wrinkle as easy as nylons run. Probably going to avoid in the future, especially pants. If you 'have' to shop there (I don't know why because they're not competitively priced), I would suggest investing in a sewing machine and a good iron, cause you're going to have to do a little extra work to keep these clothes wearable.
During my visit to your store, I momentarily left my shopping cart unattended. To my surprise, upon my return, I found that Assistant Manager Eli had taken it upon himself to move and disturb the items I had carefully selected. When I approached him to inquire about the situation, I was met with an unexpectedly rude response. He bluntly informed me that I should never leave the cart unattended, using a tone and choice of words that were completely inappropriate. As a loyal customer of Old Navy, I was deeply disappointed by this encounter. The unprofessional behavior demonstrated by Assistant Manager Eli not only tarnished my shopping experience but also left me feeling disrespected and undervalued as a customer.
Incredible clearance year round, and the staff are genuinely polite and helpful. The store features price-checking technology within the department, so that customers can scan items to confirm the cost. This is by far my new favorite store as I'm in love with clearance and this store has the best clearance I've ever seen in my life. Better than H&M, better than Forever 21 etc. This is a perfect place to clothing shop for the men and or women in your life. Especially if you love massive hauls, bargain prices and awesome quality clothing. Old Navy is a trusted brand, and I will definitely be back here for more discounted clothing. Summer is coming and the gym is forever.
Went in to look at jeans, and your display showed but one get one 50% off above the hangers I took the jeans from. When I went to cash they weren’t included, which was fine I said I wouldn’t be taking them. But as a suggestion just said that the sign should be moved over the actual jeans on sale. Your rep explained that’s not how they do things, and that’s how they merchandise. I work in retail and if I get feedback from a customer I say thank you, and let them know I will let my boss or someone else know, especially if it will better the experience for them, not brush off a suggestion, and go back to work without offering a solution.
Sometimes when I'm feeling masochistic I'll dig through stacks stacks and chaotic stacks of Old Navy Canada shelves in a more often than not quixotic search for my perfectly average size jeans. My biggest challenge at most American flagship stores in flagship malls is coping with the breadth of selection. Even a poorly managed store in a in a flyover state would at least have a couple pairs to choose from. They'd have the size stickers on most too! Wicked Americans seeking a preview of how miserable day-to-day afterlife will be for them living in Third Circle of Hell need only go jeans shopping at the Eaton Centre Old Navy.
Great store option for those looking for good pieces, variety and with more affordable values than other stores. The store is very spacious, including between sectors, I try to move well for wheelchair users and users of walkers and canes. The fitting rooms are very spacious, and there is always a collaborator to guide the use of the space. The store is usually very busy and there is a queue for payment, so being patient is important, especially since here in Canada, there are no priority queues. Access to the store is very simple, get off at Dundas station and take the exit towards the central square.
Poor customer service. I visited Eaton centre location and made few purchases, however cashier forgot to remove the security tag on one of them and I only realized after taking off all the tags and throwing out the receipt ( it's small tag hard to notice). I understand it's a small mistake but I had to come back to get it off which took an hour from my work day. Not only they didn't care to apologize but the cashier I asked for help treated me like I was a witch that burned her village lol Hope the store manager reads this cuz it feels like this team needs to work on respect or professionalism.
It's located at CF Eaton Centre. Easy access from TTC Subway line 1 Dundas Station. Great price , fashionable clothing for all family members, Well organized and clean Clothing store. Kids Clothing selections are amazing. Thanks to Management & Staff. Quality is good and Quick & Enjoyable Customer Service. Cashiers are very good. Staff Sarish gave great information about. SUPER CASH promotion. Always got Sale on Seasonal clearance items upto 70% Discount. Super Cash is great promotion going on limited time. Credit cards accepted & Gift cards available too.
Went to the store to buy a few things, made a purchase of $140. when checking out, the service rep added the cost of the free bag (for items over $100). Had to tell him to correct the price twice, as it was showing well over 150 , first he insisted it was right but got him to correct it and that came to over $15 lesser . Novel way of cheating if we hadn't noticed. The staff also are not very helpful. The store also has a lot of items in the wrong racks creating a lot of confusion. Must improve customer service for non whites if they wish to retain customers.
One of the best clothing store in north America, most of the branches are on US but it is also very popular in Canada. Price ranges are very reasonable with lost of promotions and sales going round the year, since i visited in summer there was huge collection of Men, Women and kids. Therefore if you are visiting Toronto downtown than take a break and rush to CF Eaton Center where OLD Navy is located to grab some big deals don't ease the time stock may be limited. God for both outsiders, tourists and locals. Final words it's worth going there.
Very Poor customer service. We bought a dress for our kid and cashier forgot to remove the security tag on one of them and we went back there to return at 8.45 pm night by informing them that we are coming to return and the shop only close at 9pm. But once we reached at 8.45 they don’t even allow us to enter and cashier treated us very rudely even if it is their mistake.they didn't care to apologize Hope the store manager reads this cuz it feels like this team needs to work on respect or professionalism.
I love this store especially the clearance section as it has a lot to offer at times. They have clean and tidy washrooms. I purchased my exercise pants and yoga pants, denim outfits and some hoodies from here. I needed a pair of winter shoes, I found them here but it is a little expensive. They have good section for kids and it’s so well arranged and colourful I have always been recommended the Best By the store workers here and they have always been very kind. Love the winter sweater collection
Cheap clothing with discounts and coups to earn on top. Buy 100 dollars worth and get 30-40 back...Old Navy for ya.. next time, ditch the cheap Chinese shop and go for Old Navy who’s prices are just like cheap Chinese shops....you pay $10 get a t shirt that lasts you for 2 years what else do u want? If you are cheap you will love Old Navy. Also, sometimes their products are fashionable depending on which Asian country they are importing from decides to be a bit fashionable.
As the 4 stars indicates, I liked old navy when I went there a few days ago. I went to the Eaton Centre location. I tried on a fee things but didn't buy anything. 1 reason I didn't buy anything was because we were a bit pressed for time and I like to graze when I'm there, take it all in. Sometimes there are good deals but on the whole I find that Old Navy's prices have steadily climbed and quality has improved in comparison. So I liked it and I'm going to go back because it's familiar.
We stopped shopping at old navy in 2009 due to bad service. We decided to give it a try for Christmas PJ's, after asking serval employs who knew nothing we found them on our own. When the rude black lady working started yelling at us saying that area was closed and started flipping out for no reason, many other customs saw this. This happened December 14. This lady needs to be fired from the store. Not sure what her name is but she has anger issues!! We WON'T be going back we again!
Clean store overall, clothes are sometimes messy, but it's because there's way too many people coming through this place (on a weekend especially) who toss things all over the place. There's a lineup sometimes for the change rooms, but the selection of stuff is probably the best in the city in my opinion. even the clearance stuff is good. Staff is friendly, but could improve on making the checkout experience less of a revolving door, even though that's essentially what it is.
♿ I was able to pick up some great dresses on sale here. The best part was the they had a fully accessible changing room, with the space to maneuver and grab bars. I use a (motorized) wheelchair and had a great experience shopping there. The employees were able to find what I needed and even though there was a line for the changing room - they held the accessible one for those of us who need it, rather than giving it to someone who didn't. Peace. ♿
Good selection and lots of sales but lots of items have the wrong size hangers making finding size confusing. Sales staff were nice and helpful in finding some things I waa looking for. The lady at the fitting rooms was borderline rude and unhelpful. Heard her make rude comments about another person as they left. At the end of the day I bought some nice things for a reasonable price.
While waiting for the changing room multille employees walked by. It turns out most of the rooms were empty with closed doors, i guess they want customers to knock themselves to check which I am not comfortable with. The signage said jeans were 30% off but was told the jeans i wanted to buy were special and that id not apply to them. The man at the cash was nice at least.
I've always had trouble with the store, it's very messy and if ones visit is during peak hours, you will find yourself hard pressed to find anyone on the floor. I get that their clothing is priced for the more frugal, but for pants at least, do your self a favor drop the extra $20 and hit Mark's down the hall, and save your self a second trip when they fail.
Oy. I'm a husband of a woman who loves to peruse. The problem with all Old Navy's clothing is that is looks terrible on regular people. The lines never match up. The materials are the same you'd find on a shop rag. So, as a result, I'm left watching my beautiful wife try on countless items that disappoint when put on. And the staff SUCK. Very unhelpful.
Very clean and well maintained place. Very friendly and helpful staff. I had some issues with my online order and they dealt with it quickly in-store. Their clothing line is extensive and quite affordable and of good quality. They run regular promotions as well. I would definitely recommend this for shoppers on a budget, especially students.
Always my first destination for baby clothes. My baby grows so fast that I have to buy clothes for her very frequently. The price here is so reasonable and affordable that I won’t feel “wasteful” that all the clothes will be useless within months or weeks. The quality is good as well, very comfortable cotton for delicate baby skin.
One worker failed to remove the security tag on my item, which of course I did not notice until I got home. So I had to go all the way back to the mall. The staff were kind and removed the tag when I came back of course, but at the end of the day my time was unnecessarily wasted for their mistake and no compensation was given.
This Old Navy store is huge! One of the biggest. Friendly staff and helpful management. I do think the store could use a few more employees as there presence can be sparse. But largely a helpful group of people! Many sizes available...a surprisingly refreshing range to be exact! Old Navy has done a good job of being inclusive.
Worst customer experience. They throw the sales receipt in the bag. Make you wait while they key in merchandise code even when there's price tag attached. Store was closing and they are ushering everyone out. But if still took 20 minutes to check out 3 items. No apology. I'd give 0 star if I could. Bad experience EVERY TIME!
Convenient location with a huge selection of clothing, shoes and accessories for the entire family to enjoy. Youthful appearance and atmosphere perfect for those looking for a fun shopping trip. Knowledgeable staff able to answer questions and provide guidance when asked. Very affordable with many promotions all year long.
It's Cheap, It's Overpriced. Feel the Cheapness against your soft skin. Overly priced for the quality. If you suffer from tight spaces, this is not the store for you. Good Luck finding a Manager or someone on the Floor to help you. It's available on the Internet? No I don't want to order from the Internet. I am here now.
Good place for clothes. Almost all the time they have some kind or deals. Good price and good quality. It's a huge place with various options. Can do shopping for everyone in the family. There is thus particular guy in the trail room was rude. Never had a bad experience from any other staff other than him.
This store is always crowded and busy with long lines, but the lines always move fast and their customer service is always the top compared to other Old Navy stores I've shopped at. It doesn't matter how crowded or busy they are, I always prefer to shop here, for the great customer service alone.
Employees are really nice. Customer service isn't bad. Easy to return stuff I bought from online without any hastle. Wide range of clothes sizes for both men and women. The only real downside was that the checkout line was a little slow to move. Great otherwise. 5/7 would recommend.
This website needs to be updated to reflect proper store hours. Today is the Civic Holiday and they closed at 6:00pm, however the websites states that it is open until 9:30pm. Good thing I called ahead or I would not have been very happy once I got all the way downtown.
M sooo disappointed at oldnavy. I used to love their leggings (85%polyester, 15 %spandex) as they were supportive. Recently the same legging materials do not feel the same. They rnt as supportive as they used to be..very very upset with the materiality change :(
This place is stuck in the past. Measurements were very inconsistent. They don't seem to know what slim fit means as the marked and tagged slim fit shorts I tried on were baggy. The staff seemed miserable and grumpy which usually indicates bad management.
They sure have a lot of variety to choose from a pile of clothes stacked here and there. I bet you can save time and browse through available stock online rather than hunting in the store. There are trial rooms available and the staff is quite friendly.
I have been to this Old Navy so many times, and every time I visit, all I can say is flawless. I have always been greeted warmly, assisted with care and urgency. The cashiers talk to me, making the experience seem short, rather than long.
Definitely my favourite Old Navy store that I’ve been to in Toronto. I mainly go to Old Navy for stuff for my son and they always have a wide variety. & I think it’s the biggest one I know as well. The staff is very pleasant and helpful.
Large store, with a good selection. Very reasonable prices with good promotions. Store was in a little but of disarray, but not too bad considering how many people must go through there. Not a ton of sales help on the showroom floor.
It's okay!! But, need to try and hire more staffs, to sought out clothes appropriately when on sales, to save customers from unnecessary embarrassment as to when paying. Though, Old Navy's clothes are extremely unique and unbeatable.
Them lie on sale nuttin wasn't really on sale was a waste of time to go up there an the manager suck...saw a shirt in the 11 dollar rake he was to give me it at that but at like he own old navy only give a star cuz u hv too
Good collection of clothes. Friendly staff and less crowded. Just that it’s a little undiscoverable for someone coming from the queen station side of Eaton Centre. Overall nice store nice collection and friendly staff.
They have lots of sizes. Sometimes the store feels a little unorganized but I always find something I need or want. It's become a must-browse-here-before-i- leave, store. It's pretty good for children's clothes too!
Old Navy is one of my favourite stores as you can always find a great deal! There is always amazing clothing in the clearance area for women, men and children. It also has a great selection of toddler clothing
Old Navy is a must destination for shopping cloths and accessories. Sales are always good here and you get to choose from multiple options and its a laid back place without any rush in shopping experience
It was okay. This location can get very busy. Some of the clothes are very cheaply made and look like they'll fall apart in the wash the first time. Some other clothes are very nice and better quality.
Eaton Center convenience would be incomplete without a Old Navy store. That said, I wish this one was less jam-packed and one didn't have to search hard just to find a mirror. Great deals however! ...
The was one rude lady in the fitting rooms and her additude was disgusting and she was shouting at everyone. That was the only downfall for me but the staff members are nice (other than the lady)
Went to check out the new larger sizings and was mildly surprised to find out it wasn't just a section with a few lines featured, it's "inclusive" (up to 30 and 4x) sizing in most of their lines.
old navy is the store that has a wide variety and different tastes for clothes for all ages, from children to women and men. Sometimes there are discounts inside the store, but not in all places.
I think old navy is over rated. I find the clothes over priced for the quality of the materials and the basic design. I have been disappointed every single time I have purchased from old navy.
I have never been to an old navy and had a bad experience and this one is no different. You know what it is going in and get exactly what you expect. Decent clothes decent price good service.
A bit disappointing that this location only offers up to a size 2XL. Will the store really loose that much money by also including 3XL and 4XL? Feeling deceived by the full figure mannequins.
Nice store. Unfortunately reorganized to accommodate new covid demand with more space, therefore few departments were removed, for example- whole maternity area was removed from the store.
Old navy and Gap are always my favourite and this location is very spacious with larger collection. Helpful staff. Long lineup but they have 6-7 check out which makes process faster.
I went to return an item due to the wrong size I purchased online. The checkout counter staff was friendly and courteous and processed the return quickly and correctly. Thank you
As long as you hunt for the deals you can get clothes for a great price. Just be careful, if you sign up to receive their emails expect about 500 per day. You have been warned.
The waiting time in the queue took way longer than I expected. Cashiers are making all the offers personally to customers. It's time-consuming and gives a negative reflection.
The staff at this location is so friendly and helpful! I had a cashier named Julia on Saturday who I had such a positive encounter with. Everything is clean and organized.
It would be nice if this store could stock some Canadian made items. Everything is Made in China. I know it keeps prices down, however we all need to make some changes.
Love coming here. Place is supper clean. Staff is always friendly. They come to you with an old navy shopping bag right at the right time. Love the styles. The prices.
An all-time favourite brand of mine. Their clothing is moderately priced and affordable. Their clearance racks can sometimes offer surprise deals at prices that rock.
This is the festive season to purchase gifts at economical prices. Wow so many lovely items in store. Pleasant staff no rush to offer help to arriving customers.
Lots of selection and good deals all the time but it's always full of customers and you have to share a tight space with 2-3 Shoppers sorting on be same rack
Good prices for the offered quality. The staff is Helpful, usually it has medium to low foot traffic unless there is a sale obviously or its the holidays.
Great place for casual wear. Very busy store. A staff member went out of her way to help me find what I was looking for. Found some really good deals.
I love shopping at old navy, they're reasonably priced and you their clothes is good quality. I love their jeans plus to staff are very helpful.
I like this store, they have all types of clothing for men and women or children. Prices are good, but most of their stuff is middle or low end.
Absolutely worst customer service ever. All staff are very rude even they don’t know how to talk with customers. Never go again this location.
I went for first time. Cleaned, organize. They ate keeping enough distance between people on the cash station. Prices are amazin, so cheap.
Staff was a lot more helpful here than BOTH Bay locations downtown. Was trying to find jeans with a 34" inseam. Why is that so difficult?
Good quality stuff with reasonable pricing. Loved the T-shirts collection. The staff also doing great job. Will visit again for sure.
It was good experience. Purchased something for the first time and now need to try. I believe that Old Navy won't disappoint me :)
I buy all my Jean's from old navy! Their rockstar collection is a fantastic fit. The return and exchange policy is fantastic too.
Not suitable for all body types. The clothes tend to fit tall, ruler shaped bodies. As a curvy woman I rarely find success here.
It has good offers, but there is always a line to pay, it is what I do not like because it takes a long time at the checkouts
Been happy with my purchase every time. Ripped my pants and found a replacement at a great price - went back and bought more.
The sales rack are a huge mess. I think they could do a better job. This Eaton Centre store never has enough cashiers either.
It's my favourite place for kids' clothes and jeans for curvy bodies. The membership program is great for online sale items!
No line up at the fitting room, which is a good thing. However, only two persons working the cashier jobs: longer wait time.
This store is located in lower level of the mall, the staff was really helpful. Their collection of clothes was really good.
Love this place. Cute clothes & reasonable prices. Sometimes they have amazing sales. Most of my jeans are from there.
It has variety of clothes. I always buy my clothes from here. I like the discount they give on special occasions.
Great collection of all weather clothing. Went here for shorts and tees and found things to my liking.
Happy camper today! Cotton long sleeve guys casual pullovers $15. Always a good find at Old Navy.
Big, clean location with a huge clearance area and staff around if you have questions.
Customer service in this store was excellent! Much better than calling the main number
What perfect fits and quality the place offers. The only shop I pretty much need
It's a great place to choose some good quality and great-price apparel
Old Navy is always great. Good styles and good prices
Sunday time not updated by them on google
Here I found a school uniform for my son.
Found what I needed at good price
