WARNING! LONG REVIEW TL;DR My dog passed away and my last memories were heart wrenching, because of the horrible service here. It's been nearly 3 months since my baby died. I don't blame this clinic for his death, however, I will say with my whole chest that the service here is absolutely vile. I advise everyone to beware of the treatment you may receive here. Like others have evidently noted, the service may be to your liking. But I can only tell you what I experienced, so here it is. When I brought my baby in to the clinic, it was around 10 pm-ish and surprisingly busy. The staff appeared nonchalant about my dog's condition despite the fact that he could barely walk. I had to wait 45 minutes before he was seen. During this time, he was extremely uncomfortable standing and had to sit on the floor. I saw the staff care for another family's dog, whose condition was not critical, and provide him a blanket (towel) to sit on. My baby did not receive this treatment for some reason. After we were called into the room, I was first visited by a nurse. After I told her of his condition and she checked on him herself, she appeared apathetic, which I found unusual. Again, even she saw my baby was too weak to stand and still didn't offer anything for him to lay on. The vet came in for about five minutes and did a quick examination, before leaving the room. The nurse came back in and gave me a rundown of what the cost would be. I told her that I literally don't have that much money but that I would the next day, since that's when I get paid. She said that she would try to "work" with me, but still came up with a high cost. After I told her again that I don't have it as of the moment, but that I would tomorrow, she seemed at odds and tried to offer to do this special vet credit card program, so I could have it straight away and pay the full amount. Unfortunately, I have no credit, so I couldn't do it. On top of all the stress of my dog's current declining health, I couldn't help but get the impression that she just wanted me to pay the big bucks, because that's all they cared about. Definitely not a comforting feeling. I was able to pay for the examination and one dose of treatment that would ease his condition for the current moment since my wallet couldn't do anymore and that was only because I fought to get that done for him. If I hadn't, I would have left without anything. My poor baby was so tired, he was excreting blood while he rest on the floor and all that could be done was one towel to clean up the mess. I still remember when two men came in to lift him up off the floor carelessly, so they could administer his shot, the way my baby stared at me haunts me to this day. Lastly, I was waiting outside now in my car as they said they would bring him out. When they did, it was only one guy and my baby's head was left terribly unsupported as it hung down over the man's arm. I'll never forget that sight either. God rest his soul, my baby died that night. Like I said, it's been three months since that day, and I thought I could let what happened go. I don't blame his death on them, it was already too late. But good lord, between the negligence and the greed for money, I highly recommend you think twice before taking your pet to a place like this. It's russian roulette; do you want to take the risk of how your beloved will be treated? EDIT: I am very aware of what it costs to have a pet and to suggest otherwise is poor form. I have had three other pets before the one that I brought in to your clinic, so I am well versed on how these things go. I never expected free service ever; I understand that is not possible. But what I did expect was compassion, which this place and all of the people that inhabit it severely lack. Instead of trying to offer me lost cost options, which I had to personally figure out myself, you disgustingly tried to maneuver a way for me to pay for an exceedingly high amount (upwards of a grand just for a diagnosis, not treatment). Being compassionate and cooperative is free.

****update- response for Mission vet clinic comment**** “We were aggressive”?! To call your office and to ask to talk with Ani or her manager is aggressive?! You have cameras in your rooms You’re recording calls prove it! Show me where I’ve been aggressive and show your clients your lies! You’re saying that fox tail can’t kill dogs?!?! On Google it’s saying “it can even lead to death if left untreated” (add pic from Google) And “Dr.” ANi wanted to leave it untreated! YOU ALL CAN SEE THE PICTURES ON YELP! Don’t get there! They almost killed my dog! Dr. Ani Sefildzhian Almost killed my dog! Be carful !! In the moment they understand they did a mistake they emailed me that it’s my fault and I don’t know how to take care of my baby!!!!! And then they don’t take your calls and don’t answer your questions of what they have done with the mistake and our complain of Dr. Ani Sefildzhian!!! We went there and Dr. Ani Sefildzhian said that the paw is swollen because she think my baby has foxtail. She cut his paw and went out to say she didn’t find anything and they will refund me 100$ (from 500$) because she didn’t find the foxtail! She bandaged his paw and asked to give him antibiotics and to come back in a week to take off the bandage.. When we came back she took off the bandage, his leg was 100 time swollen and purple (you can see the picture). She told us it’s ok and she insisted this is how it’s supposed to be and to look like and tried to send us home! We couldn’t believe for what our eyes and ears were watching and listening to! We ask second opinion from another Dr.(which took time because she said that everything is ok with his paw and insisted we should go home) The second doctor told us he’s going to open again and to look for something that could explain why the paw is so swollen. After few minutes is coming out with the foxtail that was there for more than a week while Dr. Ani Sefildzhian tried to send us home and to hurt my baby!!! I called the clinic and no one wanted to transfer the call to her manager and they said someone will contact me in 24 hours Of course no one called after 24 hours but after few days I got an email that blames us for not taking care of my dog!!!! This dog is my life!!!! I asked them if they were talking with her and they didn’t want to answer what they have done with Dr. Ani Sefildzhian! Guys if you’re going there don’t go to “Dr.“ Ani Sefildzhian!!! And now when I read the reviews they are all talking about this “dr.” Ani Sefildzhain none stop! Only bad reviews! I’m so sorry I didn’t read it before and let this “Dr.” touch my baby!

I took my dog in for nausea, diarrhea and lethargy. Was charged $760 for the blood work, x ray and ultra sound only to be told that he's just dehydrated. They were not able to tell me why he was nauseous in the first place. Then they attempted to charge me another $350 for treatment and medication. I was able to get it dropped down to $205. So roughly a grand altogether. And after almost a week he's still not drinking water and I'm in the dark. I wasn't given any info on the meds, what to expect in the next week, symptoms to look out for. Was just told to give him the meds and sent home. As a first time pet owner this is a terrifying experience and I wish I'd gotten some more guidance or support or even a little insight about what be wrong with my baby. Every time I call they say just give him water from a syringe, which is obviously not addressing the problem. Last time I called was on Friday and I was told it would take 48 hours for a tech to call me back. It is now Monday and nothing. The only other option is to take him back in which case I'm sure I'll just be charged more money to be told he's fine. Very upsetting :( EDIT: one of the techs called me right after I posted this and finally told me what my dog was diagnosed with over the phone! They said they were surprised that I wasn't told the diagnosis or given any printouts to take home (all I was given was the invoice and list of medications). The doctor was cold and trying to charge me for additional treatment but the tech was nice (I forgot his name). I took him back in and they did another round of xrays without charging me. They told me they'd get back to me the next day with the results and it took them almost a week to respond. It was a last ditch effort on their end to make things right and while I appreciate it, I am never going back there.

Brought my dog Piggy here 4 weeks a go because she had a mild diarrhea and her belly looked like she was retaining water, she looked like she was uncomfortable . Five days a go, my loving dog Piggy died! from a heart attack , a sudden death. My question to you is : Why the doctor 4 weeks a go never noticed after evaluating her, for over an hour, that the distended belly was due to an underlying and severe condition called Congestive Heart failure ? …. That was prob why she was retaining fluids in her belly. She was also short of breath and was panting a lot. Now, and after a lot of research, and asking other vets and specialists , we discovered that those were clear signs of a heart issue but the doctor never said anything about it , did not even mention it that day we brought her here . He actually told us she was fine !!! , he said that she only had to lose weight and maintain a healthy weight … and sent us home with a bunch of antibiotics …and $1500 paid bill. Why the X-rays and expensive blood test from that day and the obvious fluid wasn’t consider like a clear symptom of something more serious? … How come the doctor missed those critical points ??…. Doctor, fluid in the belly is a very clear sign of a possible serious heart problem that could had been treated with the right medication in a timely manner. You could at least had warned us about it but instead you said zero about her heart condition! Today, in deep sadness our question is … WHY? …. Why, you, the doctor failed such a crucial diagnosis ? …. Piggy RIP.

I am completely devastated as I write this review. My huband took in our 3 year old dog into this clinic on Tuesday 9/12/23. She was not eating and was very weak. Her tongue and gums were pale almost white. They did lab work, Xrays, and Abdominocentesis. Plus the visit and meds prescribed our bill came out to $1,071 Unfortunately, the diagnosis was not clear and we went home with our sick dog and they recomended we see a specialist. After spending $1,071 we would think we would walk out at least knowing what was going on with her. The next morning our dog was worse even after the medication. My husband called them and they said they would call him back, they never called back, so I made a virtual vet visit where this vet diagnosed my dog within minutes of showing them the lab work and describing her symptoms. He said he was in complete disbelief that this so called Vet didn't know immediately that our dog had severe anemia and needed an emergency blood transfusion. He was sickened to know that they didn't suggest hospitalization. Unfortunately, a couple minutes after his diagnosis our dog passed away. Our family is crushed. We are mourning the loss of our baby and dealing with the anger that we ever stepped foot into this clinic. Unfortunately they were the only ones taking walk ins. Please be aware, seems like money is their only motive and not the well being of their patients.

I took my cat to this emergency vet after being unsatisfied with the (lack of) service from another clinic in Northridge. My cat's health was deteriorating weeks after a surgery and I no longer trusted the vet who had initially treated him, so I researched other vets in my area. I found Mission Vet Clinic and saw that they closed late, so I immediately took my cat Figaro here. Dr. Ani Sefildzhian and Jose Morales went above and beyond with their customer service and they genuinely cared about helping my cat heal. Despite treating many animals that night, Dr. Ani still took the time to thoroughly explain each treatment, answered all my questions, and even emailed me copies of my cat's x-rays, blood test results, and visit notes-- things the first vet never bothered to do. Each staff member I interacted with was friendly, professional, and helpful, from the front desk receptionists to the assistants and vets. I wish I had taken my cat here for treatment from the start. We did not have to wait long after signing in at the lobby, but keep in mind that this is an emergency animal hospital, so severe cases receive priority. I can't say enough about how happy and relieved I am to have found this clinic, and so grateful for Dr. Ani and Jose! I know I can count on them for anything my pets may need in the future. These guys saved my fur baby (ginger) from dying.. my dog was very sick for a week she had a fever and she’s been shaking and she had no appetite at all i took her to a vet in my area and they gave me a shocking diagnosis ( your dog has a pyometra and you need to find a hospital right away to do the surgery for her cause she can die any minute) .. i called 5 hospitals and explained everything each one of them asked for 10 to 15 k to do it and it’s not gonna be at the same day that i called , till I searched through google and i called mission veterinary they were so helpful and they told me the details and the price over the phone which was 75% less then the others and they told me to bring her in and the doctor did the surgery to her at the same night its been two weeks now and my baby is all healthy and happy now .. this was my honest review that i felt I needed to write down to thank them .. even though I feel i can’t thank them enough for saving my beloved ginger life

Seeing how this is an emergency veterinarian, I don't understand why the receptionist told me not to bother coming in because there wasn't any time to see my pet. I decided to take a risk and walk in to see if there might be a chance to take a look at my puppy. Two receptionists gave me attitude, even whispered about me amongst themselves. And when I did walk in, the receptionist told me "I thought I told you not to come in because we weren't going to see your dog'" HOW RUDE! I am a longtime customer of this vet and if they can't appreciate my business I will gladly take my pets elsewhere. I have made them lots of $$ over the past year & I am very disappointed in them. They need NEW/PROFESSIONAL employees. I simply DO NOT RECOMMEND. I promise you will find a much better Vet than here. They will always respond to defend their name or they will try to get the review taken down. Typical. Don’t believe them.

I would have given a 0-star if that’s an option. I called on Friday for a medicine refill upon my dermatologist’s recommendation because we couldn’t get a dermatologist appointment until a month later. Called again Friday afternoon without an answer and was told it would take 24-48 hours. Called on Saturday and was told the doctor who prescribed the medicine need to review and approve and she wouldn’t be in until Tuesday 10 am. Called Saturday and Sunday again without any progress. Called Monday and was told the doctor wouldn’t be in until noon. Called noon on Tuesday and was told the doctor hadn’t reviewed the request. Called at 4pm again and was told the refill couldn’t be approved without the dermatologist’s written note. They wasted five days of our time in getting treatment and left our dog without the antibiotics he need for his allergy!!!! I am very disappointed!

Very disappointed in Mission Veterinary Clinic. I called and brought my cat in because for the past year shes been having trouble cleaning herself down there and it looked like there was an infection. I made it very clear that the entire area needed to be cleaned and shaved and we needed to identify what was causing this infection…the doctor agreed with me and said they would do so. After spending 3 hours waiting JUST for a urinalysis and spending over $300 dollars in medicine, I get home and immediately checked my cats area and saw that it was not cleaned and left dirty(the main reason why I took my cat in). My cat attempted cleaning herself all night because of the discomfort she was left in. This definitely shows their lack to take care of your pet and simple disrespect.

My experience at this veterinary business last year was highly disappointing. I visited for a consultation regarding teeth cleaning for my dogs, but was shocked when they quoted me a ridiculously high price. Feeling taken advantage of, I promptly left and sought services elsewhere. To my dismay, just yesterday my mom went to the same place with her dogs, and as soon as the manager (I believe his name is Danny) recognized our last name, he informed her that they would treat her dogs but never mine. This level of unprofessionalism and discrimination is unacceptable. I strongly advise avoiding this place at all costs and would discourage anyone from bringing their animals here. Take your pets to North Valley Veterinary Clinic if you are local, it's in the same shopping center.

This is my third time coming to this clinic, and it’s been a while since my last visit after they relocated a few steps from their previous location. I love the new aesthetic and the amount of space available inside. Not only that there’s more space to wait, there are also more treatment rooms available so they can accommodate more patients. I came here to take my dog for an emergency. We were attacked by other dogs and the staff were very caring and helped us right away. Special mention to Shadyra who not only helped my dog, but also gave me bandaids to treat my wounds. Highly recommend services from Mission Veterinary Clinic and Animal Hospital. You can tell that they really love caring for your animals.

Our 14 yr old puggle Lily tragically passed away at the house at 9:30pm. We were devastated and didn't know what to so and we searched and found the Mission Vet Clinic. They were open until 11pm and we rushed over there. The staff and doctor were very comforting and empathetic to us. They gave us time to say our goodbyes. They made us feel like she was in good hands. They asked if we wanted her to be cremated and they took care of it all. They sent her to Cal Pet Crematory the following day, the staff there were very pleasant and they had very reasonable prices. I am telling all my pet lovers out there about these 2 places.

Be aware of this place! READ REVIEWS! Go to SOUTHPAWS VET on Ventura Boulevard ! They are human and they care about your baby and the prices are a joke!! Not like this place! You can book online and the always will be happy for walk in!! You gonna wait at least 10 minutes to see the vet! The staff is so friendly and they never will push treatments for money! We visited there 3 times already and the bills are no more than 150$ Include medications wipes creams and visiting and bunch of treats and present for my baby! In mission vet clinic I need to say thank god if I get a bill of minimum 500$!!

I took into Mission Veterinary Clinic a wild Siamese Cat who we’ve been feeding for over a decade but would never allow us to pet her. A beautiful cat who lived through bad fights and mange, surviving all of this. I believe she was recently poisoned and looked so bad and weak this past month that she eventually couldn’t run. The last day we sat with her all day then decided to take her in to be euthanized. Mission was very sweet and caring and very professional. Thank you so much for the comfort. I couldn’t let her just die on the streets. She left us the right way with someone by her side.

Mission Veterinary Clinic has by far the greatest staff and doctors. From the moment I made the call to the day we left with our fur baby, we were warmly welcomed. The staff kept me informed of the status of my fur baby ,King, every day. They even send update photos!!!!!!!!! They take the time to explain everything to you and walk you through the procedure. Thank you Jade and Jocelyn for all your help! And a special thank you to Dr Pamintuan and Christina. King and my family appreciate how calming and patiently you were with us. I highly recommend this clinic. THEY CARE!!!!

If your willing to spend 1400 for a a new iphone but cant drop a pretty penny to save your fur baby then I dunno whats wrong with you. They took me in for a walk in, but at least I was seeing hours later I got my baby cat his absence, cleaned and shaving down and they neutered him for free all in less than an hour. Yes, it was expensive but I spent my money on far worse so I can’t complain and Danny help me out. He’s a cool guy. Staff was friendly will most definitely be coming back If I ever need some veterinarian advice.

Had an emergency with my cat today, called and brought her in immediately. Not long after filling out paperwork we went back. We agreed on everything and the price was what I was told when I called. They were all so nice and made my cat feel better which made me feel better. My cat was more herself when she was very vocal during her exam showing that she's still the boss of all humans. Came in on Weds May 24th around 4:30 pm and the moment I walked in the staff was attentive and had a clean lobby. The tech Jeanette was very polite and instructed clear details with care plans and prices. They were able to take care of my dogs issues within 30 minutes, Dr.Ben and Dr.Ani we’re both attending my pet as well and felt like the two were very professional and caring doctors that eased my stressful situation. Thank you to Jeanette and Ben! My baby kilo is now at home safe❤️

I had such a lovely experience at Mission Veterinary Clinic. My dogs were treated with kindness and patience. One of my dogs, Winston, gets super nervous when going to the vet but the lovely people working there made sure he was ok when it was obvious he wasn't. I remember in particular Jade coming over and checking in on us. We were seen in a timely fashion and I felt comfortable with the staff treating my babies. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

Just wanted to share my experience with Mission Vet. I went in for my doggy who has been limping for a couple days and I couldn't figure out why. The staff was great specifically the worker Priscilla was amazing! She really took care of any my worries and knows how to handle scared/nervous pets. I was worried my dog was going to resist but Priscilla knew how to handle the situation. Overall 10/10 and recommend for everyone to come here for their pets needs

Dr.Pam and Gabriel, the technician , are extremely nice and knowledgeable. They had everything they need it to make a rapid and accurate diagnosis of my puppy, Chopper. They explained everything I needed to know about my puppy's condition and made sure I understood the what, when, why and how of the medicine they were sending me home with. I'm so glad I have found this clinic they really do go above and beyond for their patients.

I brought my new adopted puppy in for his first vet visit a few days ago and I had a wonderful experience at mission vet clinic. As a first time pet owner, all of my 100+ questions were answered by the vet and all of my additional questions were answered by technician named Indira. She was very kind and answered all of my questions with patience even though I may have asked the same thing 2-3 times. Highly recommend this vet!

I have been to this Vet several times already and I have had the most pleasant experience. We dealt with Catalina who was extremely knowledgeable about my puppy’s issues. She took care of us, listened to our concerns and made sure we were taken care of. Upon my return, I made sure and asked to see her as I will only allow her to care for my little MaltiPoo. I absolutely recommend this Vet and Catalina.

I brought my dog in late Friday night because she was having an episode from her liver shunts. I thought I was definitely going to lose her. They took her in right away and got an IV and meds in her. It was a miracle she’s still alive and doing well! The whole staff from the front to the back and the veterinarian were amazing! Everyone was so kind and caring. Thank you so much for taking care of Lilo!

The tech indira was so nice when I took a kitten I found underneath my shed! She informed me of the vaccines and the testing my baby should receive. She was thorough and was patient when I had a thousand questions. If anyone has questions she is definitely the person to go to. She made everything sounds so simple and guided me step my step without fail. 10 out of 10 would def come again

Very excellent service. I drive about 45/50 minutes just for this specific clinic. Staff answers all my questions, specifically Priscilla. Shes the first face my puppy saw and currently only wants her, Meaning i only want her. place wouldn't be the same without kodas vet/nurse. Shes the sweetest. I personally recommended Priscilla. Theres no doubt i change her for anyone else.

Highly disappointing experience at this vet place. Manager Danny's extreme rudeness and unprofessional behavior were unacceptable. Take your pets elsewhere for better care. Additionally, the excessive pricing and tendency to overcharge make this establishment an expensive option. Seek a veterinary clinic that prioritizes professionalism, compassion, and fair pricing.

Took my Bulldog in for a Rash on her back. My bulldog walked in this animal hospital very healthy & energetic. Dr gave my bulldog 3 injection shots & some medicine for the Rash. After the 3 injections My dog died in THIS Animal Hospital. Dr gave me a UNREALISTIC NONE Related Reason why my dog Passed away. Did not make sense. PLEASE BEWARE!!!!

My experience here has always been excellent! My baby pug can be a bit mischievous at times, and she has gotten into things and I have found myself having to rush her to mission vet twice already. Both times, Jeanette helped me out. She was very helpful and she made my dog and I happy! Thank you Jeanette and mission vet clinic.

The technician Indira was super helpful! She made me feel comfortable and reassured me everything was going to be alright. It was my first time in with my pup. Mission veterinary is absolutely amazing. Front office staff to back office technicians. I am completely amazed by the efficiency and professionalism. Everyone in this clinic was so compassionate and delicate with our emergency. It was truly the best experience in such a tragic situation. I am forever thankful.

Beautiful upgrade. Clean, spacious, welcoming. Great staff. They were patient, explained everything very well. I was able to obtain my pets diagnostic results. Even though, it is pricey, but not as others in the valley for providing urgent care. I would gladly return for their services, if our pet needs to.

For over 10 years I have been bringing my dogs to this clinic, I have had the pleasure of being helped out by Gabriel. He’s great with pets and gives us the best customer service. You can tell he loves what he does and that is why I bring my dogs here because I know they’re in safe hands.

Great place, I called, Mayra answered and was really helpful. Right away she helped me booked an appointment, got there and my dog was seen right away, my pit was in really bad shape but they did an Amazing job!! I am so happy! Ask for Mayra she is awesome and cares for your pets care.

Incredible place. We were so moved by the care our dog received. I don’t think we could’ve found anywhere better for him to be treated and convalesce. The pricing was incredibly fair and they gave us so much more than what we paid for. Eternally grateful for this clinic and its team!

Staff was very friendly, the interior was actually gorgeous and well kept, and we were seen for a walk in appointment in no time at all. The doctor was also extremely friendly and sociable and really took time to address our concerns for our cat. Definitely recommend this place!

My temperamental old English bulldog, who is a great judge of character loves this office!Catalina who did our intake was so sweet to her. And even better Dr. Pamintuan won her over. I’m changing my Vet to go there permanently. Thank you for taking such GOOD care of my girl.

I brought my 8weeks old puppy last week, he got stung by bee. Dr.Pam and Gabriel the technician were helped us. And took good care of my lil boy. They did very great job and safe him!!! Also gave me clearly answers because i was freaked out. Im highly recommend this place.

Love the staff here. They’re so helpful and caring. Danny always helps me with my dogs and cat even though one of my dogs is mean. Parking is pretty big. Wait time has varied every time I’ve come in. Receptionist are so sweet. 10/10 recommend!

My dog was in need of immediate care. Your website states all this stuff about taking them in and you turned my dog away. Which resulted on him passing away. U were the only place open at the time and I needed for my dogs life to be saved.

Me and my dog love coming to here. Gabriel is always friendly, helpful and simply very passionate and considerate of his little patients. My dog is always relaxed and never afraid to go back. They get things done quickly. We will be back!

Took my cat in for for an eye issue and we were taken care of relatively fast. Rubel was super helpful, informative, and attentive. The vet also did a thorough investigation. Bringing my cat here from now on.
