Well where do I start? Let's start with our baggage did not come out at the carousel it was scheduled for, number 8. When they closed the door indicating no more luggage was coming out we started asking about it and they said old Carousel seven is down so it's probably down at Carousel 6. We went down to Carousel 6 same thing none of our luggage and they shut the door again indicating no more was coming out. So we go back down to the baggage claim office and they scanned my ticket and said well it is here at the airport it just hasn't been scanned for the drop yet. Finally, after two more flights luggage what's delivered hours started coming out. It did come out on carousel number 8 it just took an hour from the time our plane landed to get our baggage.

It looks kinda round to be called a square. The grass is always well manicured, especially difficult with the amount of traffic that comes through during concerts and rallies. Beautiful city views down 2nd Ave, up Demonbreun toward Legislative Plaza, and from the observation tower across the river toward the Titan's Nissan Stadium. A couple of small water features including a splish splashable fountain running in the summer. Interesting sculptures scattered around, and a new installation currently in the works. Lots of local eateries nearby in walking distance. A few tiny picnic tables encourage an outdoor lunch break from the cubicle caves.

Nothing like watching a homeless guy take a bath in the shallow pool of water in the middle of the day as you learn more about Nashville rich history. If you go to this location that’s what you will see more in likely. A lot of local businesses (Banks) have left the area and for this reason there an quite a few large vacant buildings. With the lack of foot traffic that was once there the city has taken a lackadaisical mindset with keep up with this area. Truly sad that there seems to be little hope for this area and the people who need it the most. Nice buildings and history as well, enjoy.

The courtyard is very clean, and is truly a sight to anyone visiting Nashville. It is a great place to have a picnic if you so choose and or just relax and enjoy a lunch break. The only downside to this location is the amount of homeless people that occupy this location during the day. I have nothing against them but it really doesn't look or make it feel to welcoming. The last point I would like to share is this. WATCH YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS. Lock your bikes up, secure your vehicles, and personal belongings because they could go missing, and before they do I thought I'd let you know.

This was a nice spot for Live on the Green. The water features are really nice and all of the shade is lovely. If I lived or worked downtown I would definitely come on a regular basis. The festival security did check bags for drinks and they wanted me to pour out my ice water - the guy suggested I refill my bottle inside the park, saying something about a water fountain, but I was there several hours and didn’t see a single fountain at the park. Annoying, but I just bought a $2 bottle of water from the festival vendor which wasn’t too bad.

We come here frequently. It's great place when downtown to let the kids run around. Plenty of nice benches. Cool water features - the kids (and adults) can run through those too. The statues light up if you turn the wheels at their bases. The building is the old courthouse and city hall. There is reasonable parking if you look around. The public square parking garage is underground under the park. There are also plenty of metered spaces between this park and Riverfront park (Gay St, Bank St, and 1st Ave).

Quiet place so much history, you can feel it,see it,you can see it just by walking around,as right now there is few areas under construction or been renovated, beautiful view for the ones who appreciate seen the sun goes down, nice place to sit an relax, you can see people running walking,I wish I could have take more pictures(phone run out charge) so much history, many reason why I love Nashville and haven't move since my younger years

The lawn of the court house is clean and a great place to view Nashville from. I went with some friends to the annual Cherry Blossom Festival and the park was clean and beautiful. The dancing fountain by the street is great for kids to play in and the tower at the far end of the park gives you a great view of the court house and the Batman building. It's a great place to go read a book or listen to music or even take pictures.

  • Matt Sedelbauer

Didn't know where to park, and traffic and parking in Nashville sucks! So drove by, couldn't pull off to find parking, said screw this traffic and headache and left town. If going to Nashville I would recommend that you plan out anything you want to do or see, plan the parking and how your going to get to places ahead of time, and plan to pay for parking by the hour (s).

  • Lauren Sheppard

I attended Live on the Green on Thursday August 24. It was pretty cool except for the people smoking weed in the middle of the crowd. There wasn't enough security to control the crowd size. Also, during the last band, there was a person on the building's roof ledge. Overall, Live on the Green is worth attending. I wished some people kept the recreational stuff at home.

  • Justin Linville

The park is a great public area right in the middle of downtown, north of Broadway. Love all the fun concerts and events they use the space for! We stopped by on sunday before our flight home and got to try some of the local food trucks as well, perfect way to end the trip. Super easy to get to via tide share as well, or scoot scooting.

  • Marty Shaw, Author

Took my daughter out on dinner date Thursday and had a great time. The resteraunt was right down the street from the public square where Live On The Green was having opening night with The Strumbellas and many other excellent acts. Nashville is a fantastic place. Had a great time. If you found this review helpful please click like.

Beware! If you park on the weekends the 24 hour charge can be doubled. We parked at 4pm for 24 hours starting Sunday and instead of the daily rate of $28, we were charged $48-- a weekend flat rate of $20 for the first hour + daily rate of $28. This is more than hotel valet parking and less secure. The signage is NOT clear.

He's a picture of fraudsters conducting a public property auction "Privately" in plain clothes with no acknowledge of the auction inhibiting others who appeared to bid from participating. Pubic Square? I'd rather meet at a Starbucks! Or the middle of a soccer field. Valueable real estate poorly servicing or community!

  • Mary Elizabeth Enrile

Had parked at Nashville Square Park to avoid over priced parking fee. Any government owned parking is free on the weekends. Did my research before I left here for Tennessee. My destination for New Year 2023. Great place. A ton of history. A ton of free sightseeing you can tour yourself. You just have to walk alot.

  • Nikki Enriquez

It is a clean park right in the middle of downtown. The water features are nice and there are plenty of places to sit under trees with you family. As well as plenty of open, grassy space to have a picnic. You can easily walk to many location from here and there is parking underneath, making it very convenient.

  • Jena Monetti

This place is neat and confusing. There's a bottomless pit of doom that separates the parking garage and foundation of the building, as well as a nice upper deck observatory with nice historical information. The fountains are fun, and it didn't seem like the locals had a problem with kiddos playing in then.

  • cindy lee

Had to pay for parking for attending a meeting of The Human Services Committee. Ridiculous to pay taxes and then have to pay for parking. Concerned citizens should be allowed to park free when attending Council meetings. Also the courthouse needed repairs. And all this when our taxes increased over 30%!

  • Lawrence Washington

One elevator working at the parking garage across the street after a major event and all stairwells locked as well. For a downtown property this was pretty embarassing traveling with my out of town guess. But the park was great. I highly recommend the Jazz event to anyone looking for azz entertaining.

  • Dylan Shropshire

Nice flat and open space with a water feature you'll often find children playing in. There are several events that occur here throughout the year. Some make great use of the space for a wonderful time. Though other events such as Live on the Green are a bit too large for the space.

  • RM Collins

Offered me the perfect location to do my daily miles ! I even enjoyed engaging with the cities transients as they were in several places along the route. Never once did I feel unsafe and not welcome to be on the area. The area is well kept and clean and safe. Well done Nashville.

  • Harvey Scott

A great place to unwind and relax by yourself or with a significant other. A well guarded and safe place to feel comfortable to do things that you enjoy doing. A place where you and your friends or colleagues can go for an event to celebrate or honor the ones you love.

  • vasan vijayaraghavan

It is a beautiful national park with lot of car parking place... Good tracks for joggers and walkers.. Dog training, children play area for soccer, baseball available... Sports centre and serene place... Went many a time recently for making evening time pleasant...

  • Stef McKoy

It's nice area and the scenery is beautiful. The park is big and well maintained. I know they have concerts there so it seems to be very accommodating. Also it's by the river so that's a nice plus as well. And downtown so plenty of places to eat and walk too!

  • Sarah H. Willoughby

Lots of fun, but prepare for parking fiasco. The most convenient public parking starts at $25/hour, so be prepared for that or walk or take an uber or lyft. Lots of incredible little shops, fun bars, and food options. A must-see for those visiting Nashville.

  • The Adkisson Family

The Court House. Whether you are getting married, adopting a child, or ectopic. This place is pretty special. We've done both here. Just remember to dress appropriately and don't ever carry anything you shouldn't in here. The fountain out back is beautiful.

  • AJ Dominick

From festivals, to a pick up soccer game at lunch hour this is the spot to be! I find myself here even when I am not at work and I bring as many friends as possible because it is so lovely. In the Spring I bring my camera to capture the cherry trees.

  • Alonso Pool

I only come here on Labor Day weekend every year for the Live on the green concert series. That being said, I still thoroughly enjoy the area. The parking is so easy for being right downtown, and the fountains are great. It’s just a very neat park.

  • Elise Moore

They have games on the sidewalk in Tuesday and Thursday nights in the summer! Ping pong, foosball, jenga, pitching bean bags. Really fun. Park and rec employees are around supervising. Movies at night in Thursday. Fountains for kids great place

  • Thomas Bainbridge

Loved live on the green. Plus the park is a small Oasis in the midst of the cosmopolitan life of Nashville. Accepting for both singles and families, it is inviting and the festival adds even more charm to the city life of Nashville. …

  • torri prince

Love Nashville and all it has to offer. Its beautiful and vintage. Love that you can walk around the whole area. Hate that parking has to be paid for but its part of the city. Nice area to take your family. Lots of.activities near by as well.

  • Alan Aranda

This park is amazing it's good and I enjoy going to the park the atmosphere is very nice I enjoy every bit of it and I enjoy the people and I enjoyed the Nashville Public Square Park and I really hope that it's there for a long time to come.

  • Kim Wilkinson

Exploring the area and discovered this cool public square with an interesting juxtaposition of a classic old government building with Roman pillars and the modern design of what seems to be similar to a triumphant arch... but i believe was

  • OG Zeno

Traffic was insane I only ended up there because my ride couldn't make it. I remember when this area was upgraded you use to have power outlets and they are not there anymore I was stressed out due to that because my phone was on 5%.

  • Jerhad Thompson

Stopped here for an outdoor music event. Everything seemed well organized. Lots of food options and vendors to see.I imagine it's not typically like that but if you happen to be there on a festival weekend which worth stopping by.

  • Joe C

Really nice place to sit wether it be in December for the Christmas parade or the Nashville Christmas tree lighting, or in July for the fireworks. It even has a water fountain area that the kids can play and not get in trouble.

  • ronald johnson

  • Bret Schwalb

The park is a small space, but you'll find a few interesting memorials and, if it's open, an observation deck above the parking garage. The nice thing we found is it's a short walk to other interesting places in the area.

  • Ann Massey

I had a great time at the public park. I listen to music and play games and watched dogs play. Live on the green was a blast. The food was great and meet some wonderful peoples there will continue to come back every year.

  • Marcus Clayborne

good parking area located just off James Roberston. price is usually better then surrounding lots. The square by the courthouse is pretty neat. just be on the lookout for the residents that live close by.

  • Shawn Noble (gerradynn)

Well manicured and easily accessible park in the heart of Nashville. While there isn't much to do, it is an enjoyable place to sit back and take a quick break and enjoy the river and views of downtown.

  • Raciel Gutierrez A

Great place to relax, you can lay in the grass and enjoy with your family or dog or by your own if want to relax and read a book. Really quiet. And of course really nice when are events and concerts

Is there anyone that can tell me the diameter of the park circle? I am going to use it to start train up for an event and I want to know how many laps is a mile. Thank you and I love this place !!!

  • Dyshea Brown

I was traveling alone to a Metro Council meeting and I didnt feel safe coming from parking garage (garage was well lit). I came out at the water fountains and it was pitch black...no lights at all

Nice park - visited for the cherry blossom festival April 2022 … parking looked tricky but once we got into the underground park it was easy to find a space $15 flare rate event parking.

  • Casey Schultz

Love it. A great mix of big city and small town feeling. Great parking garages. Nissan stadium isn't far if you're looking to go to a game. Some very interesting modern art around here.

  • Shelia Tavernier

Parking to expensive. After thinking i was paying$20 to park for 12 hours, I was given receipt stating only 4 hours. Plus had to pay $85 to get locking device removed. Highway robbery.
