"Absolutely gorgeous park with tons of hiking trails"
Was in town for business and decided to stay the weekend. It was a warm fall day so found this park not too far from downtown. It was easy to get to and lots of space for parking. The trails were very well marked, with detailed maps at the trail heads. There are paved pathways which look great for easy walking especially with strollers but I mostly stayed on the unpaved paths that wind through the hills. The paths were very well marked and less traveled so made for some nice quiet hiking. Wildlife is obviously accustomed to hikers as I spotted a few deer only a few feet from the path. They did not startle and were easy to approach and take photographs. Beautiful park, glad I took the time to visit it when I was there.
This park has hiking desirable for all ages and skill levels. From paved rolling hills, to dirt and rock paths with steep climbs, and switch backs. This park offers green lush forestry and beautiful overlooks to satisfy all your nature needs and just a quick drive from downtown Nashville. Dogs are also welcome on this trail system, so bring your furry loved one and make a day of it. Plenty of benches along the way for a short rest if you or your pet becomes fatigued. There's plenty of shade with the thick dense woods, so even on them hot summer days these trails can be an enjoyable afternoon experience.
We must have taken the wrong trails. Everyone else loves these trails, but we weren’t very excited about them. None of them are marked, so you just need to take a picture of the map at the beginning so you know where to turn. I’m sure if you were going here for pure exercise or if you live in the city, this would be better for you. We decided to do the trail to the scenic overlook but there was nothing there. Steps went up to a bench that overlooked...the other side of the path. Maybe there used to be a nice overlook but now the trees were all grown up. We did enjoy the butterflies here.
By far my favorite place in Nashville. Not an exaggeration. The place is full of nature. It’s a foresty mountain kind of park. There are many trail for hiking, jogging and cycling. But also, you can drive through the slopes with your car, so it has a car trail as well. And the best part about driving is that every once in while you’ll hit a road division, and it depends on your choice to make this nature journey shorter or longer. Love this place. The pictures I’m uploading were taking in the fall, so the trees are kinda naked which doesn’t give this place justice.
Absolutely gorgeous park with tons of hiking trails. Lots of incline so it’s a really good workout. Some of the dirt trails in the woods are pretty narrow so can be a little difficult with dogs. Also some areas are muddy so if you bring pets make sure to bring towels so you can clean them before they get in your car! I got super lost as there’s not much signage telling you how to get back to parking lot so recommend you ping your parking location in maps.
Beautiful and expansive acreage to get out and enjoy the great outdoors. I don't believe I got the full scope of the park as there are quite a few entrance points into the park. I did the paved walking trails up into the park, and as I got further in saw that they branched off into paved or unpaved natural paths. It was a good mix of solo pedestrians, families, cyclists and runners in the park so it definitely has something for everyone.
Percy Warner is absolutely underrated. Most all of our local walking trails and parks are here in Nashville. It's so easy to escape the city life. If you've got time to kill and wish to be active try the 5.8 Trail Route. I can Grey it done in lets than 1:20:00 at a fast walking pace, but even on a slow day it'll take less than 2 hours when walking with non-athletic friends or strollering my 3 year old son.
This is my go-to hiking spot. The paved trails are always good to go (albeit long) but unless it's rained the night before I love taking the white trail through the woods. This is a good park for kids and dogs. I will say, however, that the steps to get to the white trail can be a challenge for people who are just starting their fitness journey or don't often take stairs, so be mindful of that.
Absolutely amazing. Perfect place to take the kids on a walk and offers some tougher trails for when they are feeling adventurous. Beautiful scenery and clean environment. My family and I moved here in July and this is our favorite park. Safe and fun for the kids and offers some more challenging trails for the parents when we don't have time for a full blown hike.
This is an amazing place to escape the city and busy life. The paved 5.8 mile trail is awesome for zoning out and just moving. You don't have to worry about tripping or rocks. This inside trails are amazing for challenging yourself with uneven terrain. I love visiting this park. Keep an eye out for deer, woodpeckers, owls, squirrels, chipmunks, and more.
I can always find just try the right place to suit my needs regardless of how many other people are there. I found a great spot for my blanket where I was able to savor some solid and enjoy nature while being surrounded by around my community. I have recently realized this park is a one of my favorite local resources! Oh and I made a new friend.
This is an amazing park not far from the heart of downtown Nashville. The full moon pickin' party is one of my most favorite things about Nashville. It runs the May-Oct and is only $20. The music you can hear here is like nothing else you can experience. Support the local park and the full moon pickin' party!
I visit this park every weekend, I love to walk here in trails. Its nice up and down around 5 miles loop and another one is 11.5 mile. I find it very peaceful walking in this trail, only thing I dont like is its very far from my home. You should try climbing stairs and watching the view its very pretty.
Pleasantly surprised to find an expanse of paved, horse, and hiking trails within driving distance of most of the city! Well maintained and not too packed during the day. Trails are mostly marked though to find your way around and trailheads explain the various routes.
PLEASE!!!!! Put a sign about TRAFFIC JAMS on the street 1 or 2 miles out from your event place so people can avoid that Old Hickory Blvd. Nobody want to wait hour on road after getting off from work just for attendees to get in parking lot. Have a better plan please!
This park had been on my list for awhile. I really enjoyed the short evening walk. This park was much bigger than I had originally imagined. I recommend checking it out as there are plenty of paved and unpaved paths. There are alot of greenspaces and wonderful views.
Fantastic park! Numerous walking trails, lots of shade or sun depending on what you prefer. There is a visitor center with bathrooms and water fountains. This park is very dog friendly. There are also pavilions you can rent for events and parties with grills.
My favorite spot to hike in Nashville!!! The Mossy Ridge Candy Cane Connecter Trail is over 6.5 miles, and it’s definitely a cardio workout with all of the hills! I love it!!! If you’re in the Nashville area looking for a great place to hike, this is it!!!
A good park with several trails at various difficulty levels. The section of stairs was a good way to enter the forest. It’s not quite wild or natury enough for me with multiple paved areas and lots of people, but I definitely enjoyed it and will return.
I have been visiting from out of state. I am in the middle of marathon training so I have been touring the local running spots. These trails take the cake. Spacious, never ending, away from it all without being too far away. Well done, Tennesee!
The storm knocked over dozens of trees which fell across hiking paths but were easy to navigate around. Crews were out clearing the fallen timber and restoring the trails. There was a little mud but not bad. The Red Loop is an excellent hike!
This is one of the best parks I've ever been to and I've been to a lot of parks the hiking's wonderful I live here in Nashville but I have run across Rob Lowe and several others here asking for directions you can get lost if you don't know
This place is huge! There are so many walking, hiking, biking, and horse trails here. Absolutely beautiful place to get outside and enjoy nature. The views at the top of the hills are great here as well. My friends even got engaged here!
Really fantastic park that's well maintained with a good selection of broad paths through the hills and in the forest that can easily accommodate many pedestrians, their animals, and bikers at the same time. Be mindful that some of the
I'm a Midwest wedding + couples photographer and I had an engagement session at Percy Warner Park. It was the PERFECT spot for engagement photos with gorgeous views and stunning photo areas. I hope to be back soon to take more pictures!
Gorgeous park, with plenty of trail options. Most have somewhat significant inclines. There are great spots for hammocking, picnics, hiking, or just sitting to watch the sunset. Parking can sometimes be tricky in the park.
Fabulous public park. So much open space to walk around or relax in. Lots of scenic wooded trails and well maintained amenities to accommodate pretty much any type of outdoor recreational activity you can think of.
My band Kristy Cox and Grasstime played the season opener of the Full Moon Picking Party this past Friday night. These photos are my first attempt at getting about 1500 folks to use their phone flash light!.. Lol.
Absolutely loved this place. It was a great break from visiting all the tourist stops in Nashville. The overlook was well worth the 6 mile hike and we even got to see an owl that was two feet from the road.
If you have never been, what are you waiting for? This Park was an everlasting gift to Nashville. Whether you like walking, hiking, jogging, biking or even horseback riding, this Park will embrace you.
Dog friendly trails, nice walking paths, and plenty of places to grill and have picnics. Be sure to look at a map and watch for trail markers. You can get a great workout here with all the inclines!
Awesome park with so many trails to choose from. A lot of them intersect, too, though, so definitely download the trail map before going. Photo is from scenic overlook on Mossy Ridge Loop.
Parking was awful, not marked. Patrons werent that nice to be 100 percent honest. The stairs were beautiful though, and the area was well maintained and very green. We visited in April.
Mossy Ridge Trail from the Deep Well entrance off HWY 100 is a little over 5 miles. Not a trail I would recommend for beginners, but a great hike not far from downtown Nashville.
I am captivated, I am in love with Nashville. This park made my husband Nick and i want to live in it. Its incredible. Except for the ritch aholes that dont want you there.
Large park with lots of paved walking and biking paths. Very hilly terrain and heavily wooded in areas. Equestrian paths. Picnic tables and porta potties in multiple areas.
Always a pleasure to visit the Edwin Warner and Percy Warner parks. They are so beautiful and calming. Great hiking trails. Don't miss the new Burch Reserve trails!
Horse trails, walking trails, mountain bike trails. Easy, moderate... hills, ridges, scenic woods, birds, chipmunks, squirrels. Not as crowded as Edwin Warner Park
4 stars because it's a bit confusing to decipher all the trails between the two parks. Overall it's a very peaceful place with lots of beautiful areas to explore.
We went there with a group of 15 in September 23. Two ticks were found in our clothes when we went back home. One was stung by bee. Park is beautiful though.
The place has a lot of trails to use with some small wildlife here and there. It's a very beautiful park with lots of nice people. Best park in Tennessee
We went with family including two grandkids. We walked one of the trails, a total of 3.2 miles. It was not very crowded on our way. We enjoyed the hike.
We did Mossy Ridge trail. It goes up and down but is relatively easy. Dog friendly! Always lots of beautiful trees. We saw 2 fuzzy raccoons this time!
Great place for trail running! Lots of trail options. I did the Mossy Ridge trail and it was perfect. A decent amount of elevation, but not too much!
Fantastic park. Tons of trails with varying degrees of difficulty but everything was beautiful. A respite from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Great place to visit near Nashville! Huge hiking area with all kinds of trails and wildlife. Lots of parking, easy to find. And..portable toilets!
I love going here. Such a local getaway with trails, walkways and a lot of beautiful forest. Great spot to get your outdoor craving met for free.
Great spot for running! There is a paved 5.8 mile loop or an 11 mile loop that is well-marked with signs. Saw a few deer and a lot of squirrels.
Awesome park, clean, a bit crowded, however the trails are amazing.. you can get a vigorous workout in and enjoy nature at same time …
I discovered the beauty of Percy Warner Park during the many pandemic period hikes. I will fondly remember the mask-free hiking sessions!
Wow, what an amazing place to go hiking, biking, or horseback riding. They have dedicated trails for each and also combined paved trails.
Beautiful outdoor scenery and a great hike for exercising. We were lucky to see some beautiful horses from a local nearby ranch.
A beautiful park with lots of great hiking and Green space. It can get busy at times, but so can the rest of Nashville. …
Purposely Low volume of visitors so very nice. Masks required. Chihuly was beautiful. Some food available in the park.
A huge urban park with trails. The park offered paved trails and pathways, but they were steep. Great park for hiking!
Wow! Wow! Wow! What an incredible place. Great hiking and as a horse owner I really appreciate the horse only trails.
This is the star of Nashville’s parks. Lots of hilly trails, dog friendly, with tons of shade for those hot days.
Would have gave a 5 star but now u can only walk around the park u can not drive any more don't like that to much
It's a wow park. It's a nice picnic spot.the windy weather was too good. Best place to spend time with family.
Great hike, perfect for after a long car ride!! Crisp air is so invigorating!! There is slight steep incline
I love it here. Theres always something new to be discovered… and beautiful in all seasons.
This park is huge! The best hiking in Nashville (proper) and beautiful areas for picnics
