Much more akin to a public hospital, except in a public hospital you get half decent meals - not the limp sandwiches this places offers. Male and female patients were forced to wait in the same room in their operation attire. Nurses in the operating theatre were more concerned about discussing their break regime. In recovery, all the patients were visible to each other. Technologically behind - the admission was all done by paper and they were actually proud of the fact that the 1990s touch phones in the rooms had their own landline numbers. The noise in Steel Ward made sleep impossible. And the nurses effectively confiscate your medication.
On the afternoon of November 21st, Tuesday, I contacted the lab, and a lady informed me that I could bring my son for a blood sample. During the procedure, my son experienced discomfort as the lady struggled to locate his vessels with the needle, ultimately without success. Throughout the night, he endured pain in his arm, necessitating the use of cold compresses for relief. It appears that the individual conducting the procedure lacked the necessary qualifications, leading to a challenging experience for my son. The old lady was not qualified for this job at all.
I have been visiting patients at this hospital as another medical worker for many years, and find the nursing staff here mostly rude. There are not many nurses here who know people skills or how to treat others who have to work here from offsite. In comparison to other hospitals, they are the least busiest and yet they expect others to do more of their work for them while being rude to you. Out of all the hospitals I go to, they are the only ones who do this. I found senior nurses on Steel ward (especially today 7/11/20) very rude and b*tchy.
I visited the NECH for a laparoscopy mid-July and the care I received was outstanding. I was in the maternity/gynaecology ward, and had many friendly nurses looking after me throughout my stay. I had heard good things prior to my visit, but the care provided still exceeded my expectations. I was attended to immediately when I called for assistance, and the nurses ensured I was receiving pain relief at the correct times to prevent me from discomfort. You are all angels! Thank you x
Visited for a laparoscopy in July and had such an amazing experience, the best experience I've ever had at a hospital. The staff were absolutely lovely. The nurses who cared for me were kind, sweet and caring and made me feel safe through my whole experience. They provided me with reassurance and kindness after my surgery when I felt emotionally overwhelmed and scared. The food was absolutely delish and my room was comfortable and had everything I needed.
Wow, what an amazing experience!! Thankyou to the beautiful midwives and doctors here at NECH I had the best experience having my little boy!! I was actually meant to be at another hospital but they couldn’t take me when I went into labour and I am so happy that was the case because the care I received is to the very best level, right from when I walked through the doors! Thankyou so much and if we go for round 3 we will definitely be back :-)
Hands down the BEST HOSPITAL I have ever been to! Dr Niel Tamlin, Karen (Dr Tamlins receptionist) and all the Nurses from Glynde Ward - you are all super Amazing, kind, caring and loving! You all made me feel like I was home! To the Kitchen Staff, thank you for the most Delicious meals and kind service! I'm at home recovering from my surgery and I honestly miss being in hospital! 10 for North Eastern Community Hospital and all the staff!
Having been a patient at this hospital on a few occasions, I found it to be a wonderful, caring medical facility, and one that went out of its way to offer very professional service. The nursing staff was always there to be of help, and one felt comfort in the care and advice offered by all those looking after you. If I had to return to hospital, I could not be in a better place.
Great experience all round for me at this place from admission to discharge it was excellent I had Elbow surgery and overnight in High dependency unit. All nursing staff were fantastic I was very impressed with cleanliness and professionalism and caring aspect. Well done to all especially to Jacquie and Alex and the night nurse who name I can't remember due to the drugs.
Been here for 6 days and waiting to go home after a knee replacement. The staff here have been amazing and nothing was too much trouble and due to a few issues of my own, I definitely put them to test! They were very caring and patient and were always cheerful. Cannot thank them enough. Special thanks to Jill, Andrea, Lilly, and Alex for all their care
dreadful experience a few years ago. my wife had a complication and they couldn't kick us out fast enough. middle of the night without any help my wife already loaded on an ambulance i was offered no help no assistance with a new born. they lied to us about the medical help my wife was to receive. just a terrible experience. please consider somewhere else.
I had my second baby here. This is the BEST hospital I ever experienced. Dr Tamlin was very professional and asked my husband to take a lot of cherish photos during the surgery lol. And the midwives were so helpful and nice. They took very good care of both me and my newborn. Highly recommend this hospital if you are going to have your baby.
My husband has received outstanding care and support from the wonderful nursing staff. This old fashioned nursing at it's best, everyone just truly caring, friendly and professional. The meals he has had are delicioys. The kitchen staff delivering the meals just lovely. This wonderful hospital hasn't changed, still the best.
Had our first child here recently and could not be happier with the care given to all of us (wife, child and I). Throughout the pregnancy, labour and aftercare we were cared for and looked after more than we could have ever asked for. Would definitely go back again if the time comes for another child.
Having my wife gave birth at this hospital with Dr Neil Tamlin and his nursing team is the best life choice I made so far! We are absolutely happy with every aspect of this hospital: nice food, big room, timely care and friendly staffs! I definitely recommend Dr Neil Tamlin and this hospital!
Excellent care, nothing was too much trouble for the lovely medical staff, cleaners and kitchen staff. The meals were delicious and looked inviting. My surgeon, Dr Sunil Reddy was so supportive and kind and did a great job in giving me back my independence. Thank you, everyone
I was very disappointed with my labour ward midwife . She told us, you are in pre labour pain and moved us to room and I gave birth to my son within 2 hours . Thanks to my obstetrician who saved my day . I should say few midwife where very good & caring and great food .
Great experience. My wife had a small procedure done and her nurse Lisa (from the maternity ward) was extremely helpful and friendly. Being a healthcare worker myself, it is inspiring knowing someone who is so good at and passionate about her job.
I was in the north eastern community Steele ward recently. The staff from the entrance to admissions to ward were amazing and I can’t thank them enough for their care and support. In these difficult times I pray they stay safe. …
Bit weird leaving a review for a hospital but I had a surgery done in and by a reproductive organ. Everyone was very respectful (especially because i’m underage) and nice. All my questions were answered and they validate your feelings and pain
Extremely thankful & grateful for the nurses at North Eastern hospital. They are all so nice, bubbly, warm and caring souls. That can put a smile on your face when you’re not feeling your best. Absolute SUPERSTARS ⭐️
Unbelievable. One of the lady receptionist was very unprofessional in her Duties. Not a customer oriented person. Sad To experience things moving the other way. time at 2pm to 3pm. Im not referring to tall lady.
I have been here 3 times in the last week and today was more scans... had a CT scan and the staff were very helpful and the lady performing the CT scans for me was so calming and reassuring. Thank you …
A quiant hospital, which is a bit of a rabbit warren, but its a nice little hospital. It is undergoing some renovations. It also has a nursing home right next to it, which would be very handy.
I came to Clinpath today for the first time. They are soooooo good, so kind and caring. I sat there for two hours for a test and I could see how kind, caring and professional staff they have.
Dealt with reception at hospital today. Very friendly. Went out of their way to help me. Lorraine was great. Really appreciated it. Keep up the good work. Highly recommended.
It was my first time in NECH. Everything was absolutely organised, on time, kind nurses, excellent service. Thanks a lot to Dr. Ilmars and his team. I appreciate it. Amir
Good experience, caring nursing and reception staff. In surgery care team excellent. Some admin miscommunication but all in all a pleasant professilnal outfit
Not friendly when asked questions. If they clearly do not know the answer they blame it on covid. It doesn't cost much to smile or get out of your job
Staff are very accomodating and made me feel as comfortable as possible. From admission to recovery, exceptional service! Thank you so much!
Great hospital, had day surgery there a few months ago and the surgeons and nurses were all extremely friendly and helpful.
Caring and experienced staff. I was here for 5 days and was well looked after. Food was also nutritious and enjoyable.
Had my second baby at NECH. Dr Tamlin, midwifes, entire surgery team, hospital staff were amazing. Thank you!!!!
quite an old place, but god knows we can't pick and chose since we need all the medical centres that we can get
I recently had my surgery here. The nurses were just so lovely. The aftercare staff was warm and friendly.
Whilst not the most modern of hospitals the care was excellent and the rapport between staff outstanding
Very thorough when checking in on entry, even for simple blood tests. Thank you for being so diligent.
Amazing birth experience and midwives are very knowledge and friendly. The food is amazing too …
Great hospital, good rooms and very friendly and helpful nurses and staff. Meals are great.
I went there as agency…staff was so rude and doesn’t know who to speak….very disappointed
Very happy with the meals Nice Hospital hopefully I can eat more eventually
Good nursing staff, husband was well looked after, during his stay there
