I've used this facility for a wonderful 18 year old Jack Russell terrier (now passed), and for my beloved soulmate Augustus (Great Pyrenees), also recently passed ...shots for Augustus and ear infection treatment for the Jack Russell. They were kind enough to come outside to give Augustus his shots because he hated walking on their floor, lol:) Recently got a Great Pyrenees puppy, Cosmo, to carry on for my beloved Augustus (some big paws to fill!) and decided this would be his vet too. The staff is compassionate, competent and accomodating...consistenly so. I really like that they aren't a corporate entity that cares more about policy and less about caring for animals in pain...while they are not my emergency vet - chose a 24 hour place for that- they are the ones I like the best and for basic procedures and general treatments I find them to be wonderful . Parking lot/spaces are few and you need to be careful turning in off Lindley - building is easy to miss...it's just south of the railroad tracks on the west side of Lindley, between Parthenia and Chase St. My next visit will be to get the new puppy microchipped:) UPDATE: 5/2/19 Better than ever, love this place! A HUGE thank-you and shout out to (forgive me if I am spelling your name wrong) Edon, who is the best vet tech ever, and graciously helped me get Cosmo back into the car after his appointment. Edon is very, very strong, he simply, gently, lifted up this 120lb puppy, lol, and put him in my car! Yaaaay and thank you so much. I was out there for almost 10 minutes trying to encourage him to jump in! The purpose of today's visit -at the last minute- was for their low cost shot clinic (every Monday & Thursday/3-6pm) and they were so lovely and kind to take us in. I had really struggled with getting Cosmo into the car and even though it was a short drive, he hated it and cried and was in a panic the whole way I have to get him acclimated to the car, but so far he still hates riding in it. My fault, need to start taking him on short trips to get him loving the car rides, right?! Anyway, we were able to get his shots and get him microchipped (they use "Home Again") and then they even checked to make sure the chip was being picked up via the scanner tool. They did this all for me even though I arrived at almost 6pm, their closing time. Everyone, from the vet techs, to the front desk staff is consistently nice and helpful. For example, in addition to helping "re-load" my puppy into the car, they also discussed with me the benefits of getting versus not-getting the elective vaccines. So I could make a more informed decision based upon my puppy's specific needs bottom line, happy to report that this place is consistent, competent and a joy to visit!
Oh boy I sure am excited to post about this, I never leave negative reviews so congrats on being the first! I called today to see if it was possible to squeeze my dog (who was a returning patient) into today. Firstly the woman who answered who I believes name was 'Diana' said to me very hotly "Will you be bringing her in? You sound sick" which is true I sound congested however I'm not sick I just have a medical condition that makes me sound congested. When I told her simply that I wasn't sick and that I just sounded like this their was an awkward pause before she said in not the nicest tone "Have your dog on a leash and wear a mask when you come in".Okay. The appt was at 3:00 and I called around 10:00 before I was about to leave my dad had an emergency that needed to be tended to so I'd have to cancel I called up around 2:53 and got the same nurse who after (I) apologizing and asking to reschedule said as rudely and condescending as she could muster "No absolutely not canceling seven minutes before your appointment. Somebody could of used that spot." I simply responded "oh..okay." And hung up however as I begin to ponder this I remember that this facility was not a charity but a business and owed me an even bare modicum of basic customer service. Namely not being incredibly rude? As a service worker myself I understand her frustration and would of understood her policy had she said so in a more professional manner. So I decided to call the vet back so I may get a name for my review. I had to call back seven times I believe though can not prove that they were ignoring my call specifically so as to not talk to me.fine. Finally someone did answer and after asking her who I was just speaking to she said "Diana" I asked her if she could clarify that I had heard her right and she said "uh huh" and then got quiet idk if this was an attempt to ice me out or because she thought I was gonna curse her out but I just said thanks and went to go write this review. As others have written they might respond and try to turn it on me make their poor customer service my fault. Believe me I'm not the only one.I said exactly what happened and you can be the judge. However my advice would be to look somewhere else the last thing you want to deal with is another power tripping nurse my god. I hope this vets office doesn't think it's the only one in the valley. tl;dr The staff is rude and hostile. If you're gonna pay give money to people that aren't rearing to treat you poorly.
Faith in humanity restored having a dog is an amazing gift full of love ,joy and happy days so when something terrible happens and your pet gets hurt you're willing to do whatever it takes to get them to proper care they need .. however sometimes we are not always prepared to provide such due to financial hardships... but I didn't let that stop me I got online , did my research and made many phone calls, and finally my effort paid off. I finally got referred to Rescue Train Shelter Intervention program , for East Valley animal shelter where I spoke to Jessica and she did the greatest job in trying to accommodate not only in finding a local veterinarian but transportation as well, which I could not otherwise have made this happen without. I'm so grateful for all their contribution and support.. they have gone above and beyond what I had ever expected. In the morning a ride came to pick up my dog and I to take us to Northridge Pet Hospital where we were welcomed by The staff who treated us so nicely and with such compassion , I never expected that we would receive the Complete Care and surgery that she needed right then and there. And even though my financial difficulty they worked together with the animal shelter Intervention Program to obtain the resources needed to provide appropriate medical treatment, I can't say enough for all of their generosity and Compassion for animals and for saving my doggies life... anyone struggling with hardship to get their beloved pet medical attention should never give up hope ,cuz there's people in this world who really care that truly restore faith in humanity . Jessica at Rescue Train Shelter Intervention program is a superhero , hands down .This program along with northridge pet hospital deserve 5 Stars, all the staff were very professional and kind including Allison, Maya ,Doctor Williams, and Edan ...are all truely heroes in my book!
They only accept appointments. if you need vaccinations, nails trimmed, teeth cleaned....I'm sure this place is fine. If you have a MEDICAL EMERGENCY, like a snake bite or a broken limb Do Not Bring Your Pet Here. They WILL TURN YOU AWAY, just like they turned me and my poor cat with a broken leg away. They have the audacity and gall to call themselves a "Hospital" when they refuse to give treatment to an injured pet, simply because we didn't make an appointment! This isn't a hospital, it's a hair salon!!! So much for the Veterinarian's Oath. Let me quote the actual Veterinarian's Oath... "Being admitted to the profession of veterinary medicine, I solemnly swear to use my scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health and welfare, THE PREVENTION AND RELIEF OF ANIMAL SUFFERING, the conservation of animal resources, the promotion of public health, and the advancement of medical knowledge. I will practice my profession conscientiously, with dignity, and in keeping with the principles of veterinary medical ethics. I accept as a lifelong obligation the continual improvement of my professional knowledge and competence." You all should be ASHAMED of yourselves to even THINK to call yourselves "doctors". I'm sure you're not, so I'll be ashamed for you. Shame on you for not helping those in need. You all disgust me....SHAME....ON....YOU!!!
I was not told by Allison who confirmed my appt the day before, that I should call from my car when I arrive. Upon entering, I was rudely addressed with a statement "we aren't allowing any customers inside". She could have been efficient in her job and advised me of that. No, instead she got a rude reply from me. There was no one there but me. I asked for my dog to have her glands expressed, which was only $30. When I got a call from the vet, Dr. Meredith Rettinger, whose name doesn't even appear on the invoice as the vet who examined my dog. She advised me my dog had an allergy, charged me $55 to Consult/Exam/Office Call as worded on the invoice. I was charged $115 for a Convenia Inj 1ml-2ml $70 for Cytopoint Inj 30mg 20.1-30 lbs $30 Shave and treat wound (hotspot already healed) $30 Express Anals $65 Brave to Medium Green 22-44 lbs FOR ONE PILL Totalling $365... And I had the pleasure of speaking to Diane (at least thats the name she gave me)... sounded more like Mai. The original quote was over $400, I told her another time... I wonder if the vet knows how her staff treat people. Diana told me I couldn't return the 1 pill for $65. Found it on Amazon for $27, 6 doses...When I got home and looked at the breakdown I could not believe it. My bad for not checking before I left. Oh and the vet threw in something about plaque on her teeth???
Doctor is amazing, the other staff great however the receptionist? she has a power trip of some sort, they called to confirm and had supposedly left a message but i was out so i didn't see it. they call the following day and leave a message this time saying my appt was going to be cancelled because they assumed i wasn't coming. i call back and am met with a guilt trip about other dogs and their appointment even though i said "i got the call and i don't doubt you left a message i just didn't receive anything" the receptionist got defensive and attempted a back and forth for no reason, then tried to still pass off my appointment saying i never called back until i had to get sharp and say well i'm calling now. Everything goes fine to the appointment until my phone ended a call when the dr called me, i call back quickly and say "i just received a call so i'm calling back", allison the receptionist responds in a rude tone "okay and are you looking for info, an appointment, what" so i respond "no im outside, my phone cut the call so i'm calling back now right away", she asks for who it's for and i reply with my dogs name to which this lady goes "okay that wasn't me it was the dr"... obviously i don't have the dr extension of course it wouldn't be her as incompetent as she is
I have an appointment at 11 o'clock I was running late by 2 minutes only so I called to let them know I was going to be there at 11 02 And the lady said I can't come now because I was late. with this virus and everything going on she couldn't give me 2 minutes My dog leg was hurt and they didn't care. I waited 24 hours for this appointment every since they hired that new girl everything been no. I have another dog and this is the hospital it goes to for 6 years They treated my other dog with love and care until this other girl came now everything seems to be no I guess I have to find another vet since they doesn't care about animals anymore. The people at the desk are not nice to you when you're Scared or sad for your animal. She just hung up didn't evening reschedule me another appointment at all she just didn't care and that broke my heart.
I dont understand all the high praise. Ive seen some of the poor reviews and agree with what most say. There is a person who is really combative and aggressive when talking to on the phone. Not sure her role, but probably an important one considering there has been several complaints and shes still there. It was also expensive, and found cheaper, more friendly options elsewhere. I also seen them respond to negative reviews and I dont know if the reviewer is also in the wrong, but when they mention an aggressive receptionist believe them. They never confront that issue in their responses and always either attack, pretend its not for them, or some other way to redirect criticism away
I called to simply ask if they were allowing us in with our pets. The woman over the phone rudely said no, it was like my question was a burden. To top it she wasn’t kind, in completing the phone call. You know.. like basic customer service etiquette … I don’t understand why her tone with me had to be rude. I have worked in customer service for years, and I am always friendly when speaking to others in that position… (FYI: my cat is very terrified of vets, and it only works for me to be present to hold her still I am not exaggerating, it is fine that your establishment doesn’t allow it, I was just confirming wether I could go to your establishment or not )
The people at Northridge Pet Hospital are great. I've been taking my male Pit Bull there since he was a puppy, he's now 3 and every time I take him its always an easy, fast and re-assuring experience. They're very caring and willing to fit you in the same day if needed. My mother took her poodle in after being bit by a stray dog, she wasn't able to pay for the visit and the meds the same day so they waived the visit fee and only had to pay the meds which was a very nice gesture. The prices are very affordable compared to other local vets, I would most definitely recommend them to anyone needing a good vet.
Don’t go here! The lady at the front desk and who handles the phone calls and takes in the pet are trash. They don’t know how to treats people not do they know how to treat animals. They had our poor Cat wait in the car with me in 100 degree weather and I previously called to make sure I would be able to wait with me cat indoors with the AC. They were not compliant with my request once I got there and then complained that my cat was pacing when it was their fault she was like that. They are down right rude and shouldn’t be handling any costumer nor animal at that. This place needs new staff ASAP
First time I came here as a scheduled appointment a few years ago, they couldn't find the multiple bumps on my cats body (that were immediately found and tested by the next vet I went to). Still charged me like $80 to tell me they found nothing. Today, they were listed as an emergency vet and they were the closest place. They're not. I called the number and got a place 15 minutes away after making the drive there. Why list yourself as an emergency vet? Why did you show up on Google if you're not? I understand not allowing clients in the building due to covid but at least answer the door.
The office staff & doctors at Northridge Pet Hospital are so caring & gentle with the animals in their care. They were recommended by a friend that used them for years taking 7 different dogs to them before they moved out of town. I have a little Terrier mix that they have taken care of for me, including dental extractions. Their prices are lower than other vets in the area but now that I know them, I'd use them even if they were higher. I feel like I'm taking my baby to the pediatrician. ♡ them!
These place did nothing for my dog and keep it for 5 hours. They tell you that the dr. Will call you and who call you is the personal who work there. They want me to pay $375 for exam that the dog didn’t need and the medicine $23 for one pill. That is was not for what we went to be check. They really rip you off just because you love your dog. NO i didn’t make a mistake reviewing these expensive place, you should not answer a review that way, we have received if you want me to publish I will.
This is a great pet hospital. The staff are friendly, the service is personal (they know our names and the names of our animals whenever we call), the costs are reasonable (and certainly not the crazy rates seen at other local pet hospitals), and I haven't ever had any sort of problem with the services provided. I've owned four dogs and a cat over the last 20 years and while I've been to several vets in my area, and I keep coming back to this one.
I couldn’t give this place enough stars for how patient they have been with me. I’m a new kitty owner as I adopted from shelter and he is sick with a parasite, they answer every question and work with me every single time. I can admit I am beyond annoying by now but they still show empathy and patience. Thank you all so much <3 I had a dog years ago that I brought here and it’s nice to see familiar faces and new still doing a great job
My sweet doggie was killed by a car and the staff here made everything smooth and caring to do everything I needed to get done and a week later I get this lovely card with all their signatures and a very touching note in it I was so touched by that and then a few weeks later I got my doggie 's Mickey paw print that I will cherish forever. In this difficult time I felt so understood by them I highly recommend this place!
This is one of the best hospital for my dogs have ever been. the team who work there is so professional and they know exactly what they are doing. when i visited there the first time i was surprised to find some vets that don't really care about money but they care for your pets and they so pets lovers. prices are decent and worth every penny you spend. wish the hospital and the team long years of doing what they do
California is fully open and they still want you to wait out in the car and talk to the doctor on your phone we’ve had our vaccinations kids can go back to school but they won’t let you in with your pet so I went to a different vet nary that allows you to go in with your pet I think they’re just taking the easy way out it seems like trying to get the teachers back in the classroom they didn’t wanna do that either
Our dog was diagnosed with a Mast Cell tumor on her side. The doctors gave us the best quote and the surgery was perfect. We can’t even find the scar anymore. They also were very honest and charged us less than they quote because the surgery went faster than expected. I’m hoping that if I ever need surgery Dr. Williams would be my surgeon because she is the best.
The only vet I trust with my Chihuahua! They know her by name whenever I call with any questions or concerns, and are just the most sweet and caring vet techs. The doctor also calls for preapproval for any procedure or medication, and they call to follow up as well! Love love love Northridge Pet Hospital and I recommend them to everyone.
The most Compassionate staff fair charges for services and treatment. After taking my terminally ill Maltese, a rescue, to different local vets, some made me feel like they were adding unnecessary cost on to the bill, as Parkway , and McClave. The vet actually had had a medication that relieved his symptoms and extended his life.
My dog has been ill with unexplainable reasons. Everyone...from Maya to Dr Williams, was concerned for his welfare and left no stone unturned. Leaving your "family member" in the hospital is bad enough. But I felt he was in caring hands, with no hype or pressure. Today he comes home with new energy and feeling better!
Really poor facilities, the people there don't own dogs or any animal for that matter. You can tell by the way they care for the animals there, they are just a means of making a living for them. Only good thing is low cost vaccinations. The only good review here is from the receptionist or her friend.
Don’t trust the other reviews. They tell you to come in at a certain time and then they try to squeeze you in earlier and when you come at the time they told you initially, they say it’s too late it’s a big s*** show do not recommend go somewhere else to save your pet and money.
Called and got an appointment pretty easily on same day. Clean, friendly staff and minimal waiting time (and this was first visit). Really liked the vet, friendly and not pushy on treatment (expense). Will definitely come back when necessary and for their shot clinic.
this place is the best pet hospital EVER i’ve never been to. they are so good with my staffy and gentle with her. the reception (Mya) is soo sweet, professional and gentle with any dog. the doctors are very good in regards to explaining things to owners of the dogs.
Northridge Pet Hospital has always been there for me and my fur babies. I have been bringing my babes there for over 10 years. Maya and Allison are always amazing and so helpful. I absolutely love Dr Williams. I will always trust and love Northridge Pet Hospital ❤️
My family has been coming here for decades and they treat us, and our pets, like family. All of the veterinarians and staff are kind, loving, and professional. Best animal hospital in the valley and the only place I trust the well-being of my pets to.
Best pet Hospital in the whole valley! A wonderful wonderful family business, we've been taking all of our dogs there for many years , we always get the best customer service no matter what the situation is with very competitive prices. Keep it up :-)
Super friendly staff, reasonable price and professional service!! I’ve been to some sketchy vets where they charge you everything and anything if they can. There is a reason Northridge pet hospital get so many great reviews :)
These people are amazing. I had an emergency with my dog and they were the only ones who were willing/able to see her. Dr. Antonelli was so nice, patient and very knowledgeable. I really appreciate all their help with my dog.
My babies are two dogs my girl just get surgery last week and she is doing well and recovering from surgery thanks you ladies doctor and nurses supervision to the fullest high light recommended to everyone …
Don’t take your dog here!!!!! The manager maya she have the most bad attitude I have seen in my life!!! She got made on me because I got late of 4 minutes to the appointment! She is so rude!!!! I never will back again!
Here they take great care of your pets. If your like me and have pets like famiky take them here and you will see the love an kindness they offer. I loved how they took great care of my cat and my brothers dog.
Great service and very friendly staff. The extra shot they gave my pup for allergies literally worked in hours. My doggie stopped itching right away!! Thank you for the great safety measures ! Be back soon! :)
13 year old dog needed a senior dog check up and his ear drained due to an infection. Contactless appointment and extremely affordable. Best experience ever! The Vet here is top notch and I highly recommend!
Amazing people they care about your pets services great sometimes a wait but it's worth it. Want to update my comment I had to lose my little dog and Maya and the whole crew are amazing people very caring
They are taking Covid-19 seriously and still caring about our pet's health. My cat isn't always easy to handle and they took good care of her all the same. Very happy with this new vet for us
I set up an appointment and was taken care of pretty fast even though it was the first time coming to this vet. We have 2 cats that needed their shots and the nurses took good care of them.
They're still doing "COVID" nonsense, making people wait in the parking lot with their animals. Seemed knowledgeable and friendly enough, but come on, nobody is worried about that anymore.
Very friendly staff and knowledgeable veterinarian. I previously went to another vet that tried to push unnecessary treatments and this vet was much more cost effective.
Great people an they do their best for our pets, which I think is great. I appreciate everything they do .. Happy new years an bless them an there's
Friendly staff and great service from the Vets. They remember my dog's names and conditions as soon as I call, very personal and shows they care.
Great place to take your animal children... Haha they are professional and very kind. No problems in social distancing and keeping safe.
We’ve been here for over 30 years. I have had Dr. Mei-Tal save my pet from Parvo. I can’t begin to tell you how wonderful they are!
Love love love this place! Amazing patient care and service by the staff especially Mia! Doctor is caring!
The girls at front desk rude. Embarrassing how much energy they are wasting being that ugly.
Great local vet. Let them care for your furry kids. You'll be glad you did.
