Well, I have a mixed review for this brand new location in Kingston. We first ordered from them through Uber eats and were pleasantly surprised at the quality, quantity and pricing of our food. We dined in for the first time last night and it was a bit of a train wreck. The restaurant was extremely busy as Kingstonians rushed in for a new dining experience. It was to be expected that service may be lacking as soon as we walked in due to the sheer volume of patrons. We waited , patiently, to be acknowledged once seated but no one noticed our existence. We flagged a girl down and asked her to find our server. She proceeded to take our entire order for us. My glass of wine eventually showed up but my boyfriend's drink order did not. (She had to look at the computer to see if the bar even had ginger ale and had to ask us to point to the menu for everything we wanted to order) This was not our server but we figured she might just be helping out. Finally my boyfriend's drinks arrived and now we await our food orders. And wait. And wait. Aaaaaand wait. Eventually my boyfriend's appetizer appeared but they gave me my main meal instead of my appetizer. I told the food runner I had ordered an appetizer as well and he proceeded to take my meal away! I had to grab it back as we were quite hungry and I was not going to wait another minute to eat. My steak was over done and potatoes were cold. We finished up our "appetizers " and awaited the main course. And waited. Finally when we asked we were informed that the only thing that was entered for our orders were the nachos appetizer and my steak. AHA! THAT explained why I received my main meal instead of my appetizer Meanwhile, I must inform you that our server, Jessica, was truly trying to give us her best but between inexperienced coworkers and a swamped kitchen she just couldn't apologize enough. She was truly great. The Manager finally got involved and gave 50% of my boyfriend's main meal and removed my appetizer from the bill. (I have a feeling they had to do this A LOT). In summary, I believe the pricing is fair. The quantity and quality is likely excellent (just not that night) The atmosphere was quite loud which we had to tolerate for nearly two hours.... but it is a sports bar. I will return but not for a few months. Give them time to iron out their kinks. I would like to see more of their menu offered on Uber eats as well. Time will tell if they can impress our very picky Kingston diners Tick...Tock...⏰️

6pm reservation of 15 took quite a while to get through door and seated. Front foyer was congested of several reservations mine included which we could understand being a Saturday and prime dinner time, but it took about half hour to get seated and our table had been free the whole time. Drinks and meals ordered and some meals were wrong. Someone ordered the soup special which was told was broccoli and ended up with mushroom which went unate but not offered a refund, to be fair one was not asked for. It was too busy to reorder and our server was over extended and one meal was forgotten until many people had already finished. It took 30 minutes for all food to be brought out by over 4 different servers. And we had to ask for cutlery after the food had started being delivered. Some meals were brought to the wrong tables and some other parties accidentally brought to us. Several plates were handed over a child's head till an adult put an arm out blocking that way to hand out our plates. Some plates may have been heavier when being handed out and crashed to the table, a couple people checked for cracked plates. Some people opted to take their plates from the server after that. Many little things that turned to an odd dining experience. We were given plates for our birthday cake which was appreciated.

Would have been impossible with a wheelchair or walker inside which some of my party uses sometimes. Our reservation was a Saturday at 6pm so very busy but would have been inaccessible at the time we were there. Cannot say for other times as the dining room set up may be different.

Updated: 2 more visits and each much better than the first. They've definitely found their stride and provided GREAT food and service. The atmosphere is really nice and comfortable. Everyone has room and the ambiance is clean and almost ritzy without being pompous. The service is incredible. Even with a packed house on Friday at dinner rush we were seated within 15 minutes and had drinks within 5 more. Apps were too good to capture but the deep fried table platter was great and perfect for 4 people. We all ordered just before apps showed up and dinner was served about 15 minutes later and it was a 4 out of 5. Honestly, as it was super packed I'd actually give it a 5 simply because the staff were able to keep up with the incredible demand without missing a beat. Service was second to NONE. ABSOLUTELY the best. We were all super impressed with the friendliness, the professionalism and the speed of service and to do it flawlessly under the pressure of an insane amount of patronage speaks volumes. Overall they know what they're doing and provide a great place with fantastic food and ambiance at a competitive price. We all agree that we will definitely be back. Parking is ample but as there were so many people arriving and parking on the grass and the road that bylaw showed up and was ticketing people so be warned. Either Road parking and grass parking is not tolerated there.

I went to One Eyed Jacks tonight for the first time. The atmosphere is beautiful, and it was busy. Sadly, we were there for almost 2.5 hours. When we got our food after an hour or more, there was no cutlery. Some of us had meals and others had appetizers; there were no plates offered. I don’t own a restaurant, but this is my thought: there are way too many options on the menu. The owners need to narrow down the favourites and perfect them. They need to train their wait staff to make sure the essentials are put on the tables. My partner and I had the appetizer plate; it was great! I also had the deep-fried lasagna; one bite, and it was freezing cold. Do they not check their food with thermometers? My son had fettuccine Alfredo; it was runny and bland. My daughter had the perogies; they were a soggy mess. My cousin's steak was very cold. I realize that this is the start, and it’s trial and error, but when there is so much on the menu, how fresh can things be? How much is frozen and reheated? We will give it another chance, but they definitely need to become more organized.

We ordered a tenderloin for my wife and we were both amazed that the steak was perfectly cooked mid-rare and the entire steak was trimmed, completely edible and tender. My wife’s daughter had the braised rib poutine and it was huge and the ribs were delicious and rendered perfectly. I had 2 lbs of the wings and they were excellent, huge and crispy. The suicide and jerk sauces were both good. We had fried dills for the table and the portion was a good size, crunchy and nice and hot. We all shared the Crème Brûlée Cheese Cake and it was very good as well. The drinks were also all excellent. Service was good and my wife even told the waitress to compliment the kitchen as it was the best steak she has had at a restaurant in over 20 years. She doesn’t say things like that to often. Thanks for the great experience and we will be back soon for sure.

Several Handicapped labeled parking spots and a relatively large parking lot with lots of spaces. It does get busy though.

Dining in on a Sat in December without a reservation... The place was extremely busy but we only had a 15min wait at 530pm! They gave us a seat right outside the kitchen. The traffic was crazy but it gave us a chance to see some really delicious looking menu items. The server was not up on her menu but we managed. We ordered a couple of Caesars and they were not restaurant quality at all. No garnish and heavy on the clamato. We did not order a second, too bad we were looking forward to a a few. We ordered our meals, chicken souvlaki, everything platter, wing and rib special and the steak fajitas special. Food was all great, large portions, and eat was done to perfection on all. We did have to wait for the steak and peppers a while but when we ask it came out quick. Because it was so busy it was very noisy and a bit harder to talk. TV's in the booth (at table height) are small and not all have them so our neighbours were look our direction while we were eating to watch the game. Not so private.

I would love to be able to rate the food, but was never able to actually be served after waiting 20+ minutes. I'm aware it was pretty packed and brand new, but I would say servers passed our table with nothing in hand and some chatting away to each other probably 40 times, no joke. Other than being seated no one came over to our table. We arrived at 430 knowing it would be very busy, sat until 450 and left. As we were leaving we gave our table to other people who would rather a booth and when we passed the hosts at the front there were 5 or 6 standing around. They were very well staffed and there was no reason someone couldn't approach our table once to say sorry they will be with us shortly. I am also more inclined to wait if I've even had just a drink order taken. Really disappointed. It's so close to home, the menu looks great. I waited all week to go and wasn't even able to experience anything other than the extremely loud atmosphere. So many restaurants in kingston, you can never exhaust your options. Will more than likely never return.

I went to Kingston 8pm on a Saturday night at the recommendation of the Hotels front desk. The restaurant was packed but they managed to slip us in. Beside us was a girls sports team with 30 players. Despite being extremely extremely busy I was shocked how good our service was . The menu has amazing variety and it is impossible not to find something you will like. I had a Grilled Tapas which was Chicken souvlaki , baby calamari and shrimp on a Greek salad . It was really good and there was salad left , My teenage kids had pulled Pork , Shepherds pie , Grilled calamari , and Bao bun. Everything was fresh and everyone liked their dinner which was amazing with the massive menu and crowd. The restaurant was loud but this is to be expected as it is a social /sports bar on a Saturday . Pricing was about 20 a head which was extremely reasonable . Will absolutely go again.

I can't say enough good things about this location. It has been open just over 2 months now and I have been there 23 times. I can't get over the value for the money spent. The food is always fresh and delicious. Portions are huge and always served piping hot. The service is top notch. All of the servers are great. I would like to give a special thank you to both Klaudia and Taylor for providing stellar service. These ladies know the meaning of exceeding customers expectations!! If you have never been to this establishment you are depriving your tastebuds of a definite culinary treat. This is a definite " must try"!

I went out with 3 of my friends there. We ordered burger and fries, the lasagna, club sandwich, crab cakes and chicken bao. Out of all the items only the bao and crab cakes were good. I had to send back the burger since it was overcooked at first. They brought it back and now it was undercooked! It literally tasted raw. My friends club sandwich has chicken which looked like it had never seen seasoning in its life. Has to be the whitest piece of chicken I’ve seen. Also my friends lasagna was so oily that the US had already contacted us to get some of it. The only decent looking food was the bao which I also did not try but hoping it was better. We got drinks- I got a mango rasp margarita which was the best thing I had that night. My friends god the iced tea which was also decent. Not coming back unless it’s for drinks. They really need to step up their food game. Not worth spending $45 for this type of food.

Menu was unnecessarily large, had to use my drink coaster as a book mark for when the waitress came to take our order. I ordered the BACON & BRIE DOUBLE SMASH BURGER - Two smashed burgers, bacon, brie, tomato jam & horseradish mayo with a Greek salad as my side. The “tomato jam” was just ketchup but the photo clearly showed a thicker consistency than your typical Heinz so felt a little ripped off from that experience, the top of the burger bun was charred and felt like biting into a crouton, the Greek salad was a good size but the green peppers and red onions were not fully chopped and large in size so had to cut them into smaller pieces myself. Definitely an issue with quality control. Our waitress was very nice but most others appeared visible irritated - some even shaking their heads after speaker to other servers. Overall it was an okay experience, not in a rush to go back.

My son n I went on Sat at 5 ish. Since we sat at the bar, we did not have to wait 1 hour for the table. There was no volume on tv to hear sports you were watching. I ordered a long island and sent it back. It was horrible. I couldn't even taste any of the alcohol. I got double rye coke instead which much better. My son got a burger, and I got special rib and wing combo. U can't pick your sauce for ribs, but you can for wings. The meat fell off bone was very tender. The thing I did not like was that I couldn't switch to boneless wings. Made me mad all places u can do that, made no sense to me. Other than that, it was a decent experience. I will go back but for lunch instead. They do have gf items but not good variety.

We had Lindsay as our server. She was so polite and friendly. She checked in the perfect amount of time and was not over crowding. She certainly presents herself as an experienced waitress. We will ask for her when we come in again. The food was reasonably priced. Vegetables cooked perfectly . Salmon cook perfectly. Our food had ample flavour as well. We even stayed for desert (which we never do) we were watching other food dishes come out and everything was vibrant and looked great. The service was quick despite being so busy. The atmosphere was very loud. We could not tell if music was playing or not. If you don’t mind a busy environment you will not have an issue. The washrooms are clean considering how busy it is here. It was a great experience . Most certainly will come here again.

Went on wing night which is half price for a pound of wings. Ordered “Wing Special” and asked for fries as well. She brought us our bill and charged full price for both meals. When I asked about it she very argumentatively said it was a pint and a pound, even though we also ordered 2 $10 drinks so that should have cancelled that out even though it wasn’t Sunday so that special was for the night before. When the manager came he then argued and said because we had fries and 1 carrot stick and 1 celery stick we had to be charged full price, why wasn’t it an option to just give us the deal like we originally ordered and charge us for a side of fries. Good food. Huge menu. LOUD music. We recently went for lunch on a Tuesday. The wheelchair door buttons were not working (they fixed them right away) The music was soooo loud! The table beside us asked them to turn it down and they said they could not. We had a friend with visible disability join us and when we asked them to turn down the music, they obliged. The food was quite good. Just not sure why the music needs to be obtrusively loud any time in a restaurant - (we could not hear each talk hardly and I'm young) But especially during a weekday lunch where most of the customers are retirees. I hope they fix this noise issue. I won't return unless they do. I can get good food like this at many places that don't have music this loud.

THE best restaurant in town by far , extreamly impressed with all the staff and functionality of the restaurant given it was fully packed at 6:30 on a monday . I had ordred two pounds of wings for half price wings on a monday , these were by far the best wings in kingston, the frys came out burning out fresh from the frier ! Had dinner with friends celebrating a Birthday. We were greeted by a server named Jessica t and she gave us menus and took our drink order while we looked at their massive menu. All of us were undecided but with Jessica's help and patience we made some really good choices. Lots of variety on the menu. Seated quickly even though they were packed on a Thursday night. Parking lot was full, we had to park nearby. Calamari and wings were good. I ordered San Fran Trout which came with 3 shrimp, 2 small scallops, trout, most mussels were open but some weren’t and others were nearly closed and that scared me. This was supposed to be in a bouillabaisse but was in tomato sauce of some sort, like pasta sauce. I think the cooks were confused in the back, our meal took forever to arrive! Everyone around us got their food before us but they had sat down after us. Service was great tho.

First time eating there for us. Thankfully we had a reservation as it was crazy busy. We were a table of six. When our order arrived 1 of the 6 meals was missing. When it finally arrived, the rest of us had almost finished our meals. It was evident that his meal had been forgotten. No apology was made or reason given. I say this not to complain but to offer some advice. Mistakes happen it was busy, but own the mistake. Take the opportunity to turn the mistake into a positive customer service experience. Be honest let the customer know what happened, offer to give the customer a free drink or dessert free appetizer on their next visit. A little gesture goes along way.

Will absolutely be back, with all my friends and family! We stopped in for a date lunch in between work schedules. Staff was very friendly at the door, welcoming, professional and quick to seat us. The food choices are plenty. In our party of 6, we had different dishes and all tasted really good. The portions are generous and the prices are fair, and the staff is friendly. The restaurant is busy. All the time. Which I feel is a great thing. The wait was minimal, the food was delicious (a half hour wait for our food, but with how busy the restaurant was, I can understand. Our server, although somewhat attentive, wasn't very pleasant. The missing star has nothing to do with the food, the service, or how quickly we got served. Neither the portion size or quality of food, nor the cost. That's the solid 4 Stars. The only downfall for me is it feels like a very crowded space, and very loud. If you're trying to have a conversation with somebody, you have to talk loudly to have a conversation. Then multiply that by how many people are in the restaurant at this point and then add in the loud music. But I highly enjoyed it otherwise and the food was really good and the prices very fair.

Pricing similar to most sit down restaurants today though with options at pretty much any budget level. This is a great new restaurant in the Kingston area. We are in town for a sales conference and just thought we would try this place. They have an amazing and varied menu with everything from pastas to wings and ribs to stir fry. The service and food were just outstanding. When we arrived the place was packed and on a Weekend night too! I had the Jambalaya and it was stuffed with delicious sausage, shrimp and chicken. I would highly recommend One Eyed Jacks if you are looking for a great meal with a nice range of beers on tap

First time customer. Place looks amazing. Lots of menu items that look amazing. My server Sydney was so nice and helpful that I gave her a 20% tip which I don't usually do. The only reason I gave a 3 star is because I got a lobster pasta that was very bland and I didn't like. My friend and i didn't finish our meal and we told our server and she was so kind about it and let us choose something else on the menu. I haven't tried the other meal yet because I'm taking it home. But the service was fantastic and I will be back to try again soon.

Pleasantly surprised for a bar near the highway intersection at Kingston. Was traveling and staying at the Days Inn hotel nearby. Walked over for a drink, ended up getting food too. We had a recommendation from the hotel down the street that the food was outstanding! They were right!!. The entire family went for thanksgiving dinner, from the moment we entered, Jessie the hostest was pleasant and friendly, Jessica T was our server, she went above and beyond! Phenomenal service, food was impeccable, kitchen staff brought out two of our dishes, we requested water from him, he asked if we needed any other drinks as well even though that wasn’t his responsibility. Unfortunately didn’t get his name. Service was second to none. Price was amazing, massive portions, big beer! Will definitely return and soon!

Came in last week after a long day, and our server Jessica T. was outstanding! She was a great help recommending options as the menu was HUGE! She was quick to answer any questions, take our order, and even allowed my elderly father to change his meal option last minute when he realized there was a daily special! I find the atmosphere very loud. The service was amazing thank you to Jess she went above and beyond her job. Excellent service. Second visit to One Eyed Jack in Kingston I was lucky enough to have JessicaT. Again for my waitress. Her knowledge of the menu was very helpful. Excellent customer service. Had to write a review about Claudia! I’ve been a few times since it’s opened now & have had her majority of the time. She is such a sweetheart and is incredible at her job!!!! Service is always quick & shes beyond kind. Constantly checks in to make sure things are okay, even when she wasn’t my tables waitress. she apologized for mistakes made by others which shows how much she cares for everyone in the restaurant. its evident she really values her job. I also notice her helping out other servers when things are getting busy. Looking forward to going back!

Food was not very appealing, mediocre given all the advertisement...my son's order was incorrect and when we let the server know, she not only didn't believe us but made it seem like it was our mistake. Her service was extremely slow, we had to ask for refills numerous times, and our bill. None of our plates were pre-bussed...just an over-all.....OK experience.....not sure if we would return or recommend given this was our 1st experience, wasn't a very pleasant one.

Based on how short time they have been opened this wasn't a bad experience. Everyone thought food was tasty but my stir fry was a little week on sauce so I requested some more on the side. I was finished my meal by the time they brought out a soup bowl of it. Lol. Also our order for whisky sours was definitely not whiskey sours.. extremely green with no froth on top and no whiskey taste. They got sent back. I get that everyone is learning so only docked one star. It's a bit loud in there.. they need to address that.

We have found our new favorite restaurant and can not wait to return with our kids. The menu goes on forever. If you can't find something you like then I don't know what to tell you. The service was well above our expectations considering how busy they were. Got our appetizers within 10 min and our food 15 min after that. The prices blew us away (hopefully they can keep these prices) I honestly can not say enough good things about the place. Kingston needs more places like this. Looking forward to many more visits in the near future.

Great selection on the menu. There is something for everyone! I had the grilled cheese sandwich. The concept is good, but it had very little cheese. Another time, I had the beef tenderloin pot pie. It had lots of meat, but the crust was burned, and I couldn't eat it. I needed to be somewhere and didn't have a lot of time to spare. Otherwise, I would have sent it back. It's a new restaurant and still going through growing pains, and I'm sure it will improve. I still would recommend One Eyed Jack. I love the new look and menu options.

It took a little bit of time for the hostess to have us seated but once we were at our table, the service was great and our food was served in record time as well. It might have been because we were starving but the food was really good. I had trouble picking what I wanted because there were so many good choices. I took the jambalaya and my partner took the chicken souvlaki platter. Fully recommend! Definitely stopping by again next time we’re in Kingston.

Been to One Eyed Jack a couple times now and have to say if you’re looking for consistently excellent service and consistently excellent food - visit them. We’ve had outstanding servers (Jess T) and a couple so can’t remember their names (sorry). The drinks are only $5 for bar rail which is unheard of in 2023. Next time you’re in Kingston stop by One Eye Jack - you won’t be disappointed.

It was a great experience except for a few things. The "Booths" are pretty right. The food was good but we had appetizers and before we even finished half the main course was there. When I got to my main course, the taste was great but ice cold.. so it was cold before it got to the table. Tried waiting to go to get the new restaurant kinxs figured out. I've been twice now. First time I had wings and poutine and it was good. Wings were big and very good. Second time I had breakfast. It was late breakfast (after 2pm). The potatoes were undercooked and my eggs were overcooked. Toast was cold, couldn't even melt the butter. I'll still go back. This restaurant turned out to be a lovely surprise. I can't stop going here! I highly recommend the beef tenderloin. I would suggest showing up earlier than you originally intended if it's your first time, because the menu is massive! We had Sydney as our server - they were lovely and the service was great. The food was good, crème brûlée cheesecake was amazing. 4 stars on atmosphere as it was really loud. Will come back for sure.

We had Jess T. as our server tonight and she was wonderful! It was our first time in and the food was really good. Lots of choices for everyone and will be coming back to try more options! Recommend!
