I went to the Thursday $12.99 Special Rib night. When we were waiting to be seated a guy working came over and said it would be over an hour wait for food and as we looked at each other wondering what we should do, he left. We decided to stay and pass the time with conversation and a drink. A waitress then came over and seated us. 3 mins later she took our drink orders which we received within a few minutes. She then took our food orders (2 rib specials) and we received our food in about 10 minutes or less. Food was good, ribs were a tad dry so make sure to get the saucy. The price was good, the place is a pool haul and dance bar so the vibe was exactly that. However, we still can't figure out why that guy working told us it was over an hour wait to get food when it was one of the quickest experiences we've had at a restaurant. Very strange.

Showed up on a Friday a few weeks ago. They have a steak special on Fridays...Do not order anything but the steak on Fridays. We ordered a simple chicken meal and a fish sandwich and after 45 minutes and watching people who literally walked in 30 minutes after we did get served their food we had enough and left. Sad that the guy grilling steaks was too incompetent to be able to throw a chicken breast on the grill and some fish in the deep fryer at the same time as the steak!! If you go on a Friday and DO NOT WANT STEAK I would suggest calling ahead so you know when the chicken and fish cooks are on duty. If you want fish, go to the lake, catch one, clean it and cook it at home. I guarantee it will be faster than getting any here. To be fare my 7up was cold, so at least they had that going for them. Kitchen manager is a joke and should learn some customer service skills...would be handy working in a restaurant.

Raxx is more of a sports/cowboy bar. The dining area is huge containing tables, bars, televisions, and pool tables. In spite of that, the atmosphere is decent. The service is prompt and friendly. In spite of a bustling environment at times, the orders are taken quickly and the food is not long arriving at the table. The prices are reasonable, as the offer weekly specials. For example, at the time of writing this, rib night was around eleven dollars. The food itself is okay and the portions are reasonable. When I say okay, I mean a 3 out of 5. Nothing terrible and nothing special. I was disappointed as the wings were severed with no side dishes. In conclusion, the restaurant is a reasonable place to dine and I would recommend it simple based on the cost, service, and fair food.

What a unique business! This place is HUGE and the outside does not do justice you really think you are in the wrong part or town but the minute you walk in it's quiet the site. I didn't have anything to eat but the servers were timely and kind. The place has art murals painted all over it from floor to ceiling bathrooms Included. This is high quality artistic work so props to the artist for all of the skill and time that went into these and for the business for hiring them (hopefully!) To do all of this work it really adds a level of depth to the atmosphere. There are like 3-4 seperate bar / eating areas - over 12 pool tables - a dance floor - large drop down projector and room for a band. I didn't get to spend to long here but I'd like to go back next time I'm in Kingston.

August 25th 2023 around 7pm - 730pm. Came from Toronto to visit a friend who moved to Kingston. Said there was a pretty big pool hall with good tables. Tables were great, atmosphere was good. Our waitress was attentive and quick, the food was okay. The thing that really stood out was the Hostess. What can I say but horrible customer service. Snarky and threw the whole night off on how she talks to customers. She had an air of arrogance around her, like she was the most important person there. Maybe some coaching is needed to improve that. Will return for the pool and maybe try something else to eat.

Door greeter was very prejudice and RACIST towards Aboriginal people. As an Indigenous person in my mid 30s, my partner and I were both turned away when we presented our government issued native status cards as photo ID - he informed us that his policy is to not accept "one of these cards" as he threw our ID across the table and that he hasn't done so in 25 years. I recommend Raxx spend more time training their "door greeter" with what is acceptable ID with AGCO. Oh and I forgot to mention that the bar was filled with at least 20+ teenagers (a baseball team) playing pool, but 2 Indigenous 30 year olds weren't allowed in for not having "valid" ID that met the door greeters racial standards.

So where do I start. 20 mins before we were asked what we wanted to drink. Ordered an appetizer and meal. Asked if everything was good after we were done our meal. The appetizer came as we were leaving. The kicker is that they weren't busy. The section by the second bar was completely empty. The business is more interested in serving large groups than giving small ones equal attention. We were there for an hour and a half. Now they did give us 25% off our appetizer which was very kind of them. But maybe they should have given 25% off the bill or maybe yet given something for no charge. Either way we won't be going back. Thank you to the cooks the food was delicious!

Great tasting and huge portions, I haven't had the pleasure of going when it's busy however I'll definitely be going back to play pool and enjoy the food! Edit: the last few times I've tried to enjoy each like my first few experiences however, recently I'd say the service has gone down hill to not fault of the servers or bar tenders, they just seem swamped. My server tonight only had the chance to visit our table twice for our entire 2 hour visit. We'd waited a hour and ten minutes for our food. My apologies to all of the staff that are working so hard god speed I hope the tips are plentiful

My husband and I and another couple often go to Raxx for the dinner specials. We find the service great and the food is good value and last night was no exception. The new server spilled a drink on me and she was VERY apologetic and VERY sweet. I felt so bad for her. Accidents happen, but I don't think a free drink to replace the spilled drink made up for having to sit through a dinner with wet uncomfortable clothes. The jacket that I had purchased just a few days before will have to be cleaned. Of course we will return to Raxx and continue to have good meals.

What a wonderful time my husband and I had. It was his retirement party I called a week ago to make arrangements, it was all good. When we arrive we were great ask for our proof of shots,we told her who we were ,we went over to the tables at the back, my husband played pool for a bit, then our guests began to show up. Evenone was treated like kings and queens,our watreas was amazing ,so served everyone, then some got food that was all very good no complaints.... Great wing night on wednesdays, wings are an awesome price, well sized and a good selection of sauces. They will charge you extra for dipping sauce which I found very strange. As well, make sure to arrive at a decent time - as it can get very busy. Due to the layout and structure of the restaurant I’ve never found the service particularly good, but it’s understandable as the girls are running around for a lot of folks + dealing with the pool tables. Overall, this is definitely a go for Wednesday nights for wings and a fun hangout for a large crowd to play some pool.

Delicious meal at a great price. A ribeye steak dinner, with all the trimmings for $15.00 or less.

Sad to see the days when a fountain pop is $4.25 and $20 an hr for pool. Last call 9pm. Place was busy roughly 100 ppl and the scurried everyone out at 10. Most places are saying short staffed, but who wants to work where there is equivalent of part time hrs and when it is busy they shut down early. Miss the days of going to a pool hall and staying late night and being affordable. Food was excellent can never beat the kitchen here, food is always top notch.

Went here for the first time with a friend for wing night and was pleasantly surprised by our experience! It was fairly busy as it was wing night but service was still alright, the wings were piping hot and well sauced! Drink prices were a little bit high for what they were offering, but I've seen higher for sure. They have a huge space with lots of pool tables to use! Large venue which has gone for the ultimate town friendly party atmosphere. It pretty much achieves its goal. A fun loving girl and guy night out kind of place. You can spend a night partying it out on a dance-floor, live band included (night I was there they had a local band called Overrated), shoot some pool, hang out at a bar or just relax and enjoy the show having a sit down meal. The family LOVES Raxx. The service is quick (as they are typically busy and therefore quick is efficient) and the food is consistently great. Their wings are worth the trip along and the family often hits the pool tables as a great indoor thing to do on a rainy day. Took my wife and son out for a Raxx night, meal and some pool. Turned out to be a disaster.. NO service for .. 25-30 minutes. Never saw a waitress for food. Asked the bar to send the manager over, who was standing 50 feet away AND HE ALSO DID NOT CARE TO COME TO OUR TABLE ! What a level of..... WE DON'T CARE! We left and had a great meal at another eatery!

This place is must if you're looking for a pub to enough good food and a game of pool. The live band was great and incorporated new and old school country hit (which is really not my thing but still a job well done). There is a large selection of pool tables with more than enough room. Peak times are usually around 9pm. I would recommend this spot if you're ever just visiting Kingston.

Unfortunately an extremely poor experience at this pub. The nachos had cheap tasting, bland tortilla chips, the guac and the salsa were not fresh, and the dish was served cold.

Decent food at Raxx. I do enjoy coming here for some food, pool and a few drinks with friends. We all had a good meal tonight and are pretty stuffed. Reasonable prices too.
