I came to Park La Brea Vet Clinic after having a terrible experience with my previous vet. I moved my three cats here and I’ve had nothing but great experiences since then. Dr. Kia has gone above and beyond to help my 17-year-old senior girl, Daisy. I brought her in and she was dehydrated and very cranky. After running a few tests, we were notified that she has kidney disease. He has been clear and very detailed about her food, water, medication plan, and monitoring any signs of dehydration. I was relieved Dr. Kia was very thorough, something I didn’t get at the other vet, and Daisy was looked at with such great care. Tavion has also been great with Daisy and very patient with her. Dr. Ratton has seen my two other cats, Sansa and Luna, and he has been great with both of them as well. The receptionists are also wonderful and have always been nice and helpful when I call for an appointment or when I have a question. I can’t recommend Park La Brea Vet Care enough. Your pets will be well taken care of.

Just had a visit with this clinic and I just want to send my praise of my experience with my 14 yo Cat, Rucas. Easy to get an appointment. They cared for our cat that has a lump on his shoulder that appeared very quickly. They gave us options with a diagnosis and we never felt they were out to make money off of us. We felt like they really cared for our cat and the options given didn’t brake the bank. The male vet tech made us feel comfortable and heard. I could tell he loved his job…I even told him so. Please extend our thanks to him. We will be back for Rucas’ care here. I highly recommend park La Brea vet. We had a good experience here. I wanted to add to my review…I bought a specialized food that you need a script for that you can buy from Chewy or from park La Brea. I bought from the vet and wondered what chewy sold it for and the vet and chewy sold at the same price. So just get your food from Park La Brea and support them. Great Veterinary care here!

Update 2/7/22: The store refused to sell our family pet food on the grounds of this review. A woman supervisor had previously reached out by phone to berate the review I had left but yet offered to be better next time. Is this better? By discriminating and retaliating a client? On top of this female manager insinuating I had something against women! I had assumed this office had closed and was abandoned due to the state of their windows. I called and was asked to wait 10 min outside with the rest of the homeless gathered around, per Covid safety policy. When I shared my feedback on keeping a tidied place for their clients, I was told they have other priorities, and that the vet wouldn’t care to hear their feedback. How can I trust that this office is taking adequate care of our pets when they can’t take care of their offices?

I recently rescued a cat. I was given a voucher for a free exam with a participating vet..which is how I found Park La Brea Vet care. The receptionist, Hazel, was so kind. They were able to fit me in the next week. Dr. Rattan was very thorough with his exam. I found him to be very caring and I never felt rushed. The clinic was clean. Everyone was friendly. They saw me promptly at my appointment time. I'm so glad I found this place. I've been so disappointed with my previous vet(s). As a bonus, there is a cute cafe next door where you can grab a coffee afterwards! A great experience all around!

I absolutely had a great experience with Park La Brea! I found a very little kitty in the trash early in the morning, I called them and they were able to get me in the same day only a few hours later, the awesome woman at the front desk was so helpful! At my appointment the staff were so friendly and handled my kitty with such care, the vet exam was informative, clear and precise leaving me satisfied and confident that I can take care of my new kitty! Absolutely would recommend and I'm looking forward to building a life long kitty relationship with this vet! Thank you!

I really appreciated Dr. Rattan's no-nonsense, straightforward, and minimalist approach to our cat's care! He gave an honest assessment without unnecessary referrals or work-up (e.g. hearing a murmur, citing the low prevalence of feline valvular disease and not recommending an echo), which was very refreshing to hear as someone in the medical field who has a similar philosophy of less-is-more. He gives off an air of being both friendly and academic, which made me feel immediately reassured and impressed.

Such a great clinic! They were kind enough to accommodate our two dogs despite running late and took well care of them both. I really loved the vet, who felt very personable and knowledgeable. I really appreciated that he never felt rushed and spent plenty of time getting to know the dogs/answering questions. Our pups have been struggling with skin allergies for ages and they have both gotten so much better since their visit. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

I’ve entrusted my beloved dog babies to the vets at Park La Brea Veterinary Care since the 1990’s!!! Captain, Gabby, Gwennie, Ella and Darla have all received vaccinations, teeth cleaning, toenail trims, as well as getting spayed. Even when the shelters offer free neuter and spay, I bring them here where I know they will receive delicate care and more tolerable pain meds (that don’t taste awful). Always appreciate the staff and their proficiency!

There's always room for an improvement for any business but I was very pleased and impressed with the doctor. He was thorough with explaining all possible cause to my pet's condition and types of treatment and I was confident to choose among options given to treat my pet best way I believe it was. It felt right for me to "learn" and then "decide". Which is type of service you don't really get everywhere nowadays... Would definitely recommend !!

Great customer service. The Vets are caring and take the time to sit with you and explain the things going on with your pet. They only recommend services that are absolutely necessary. They are not about the bottom line but instead care about the well being of your pet. Front desk team are pleasant and very helpful. Vets have a great bedside manner, if that applies to Vets as well . Highly recommend.

I LOVE this office. I am a bare bones pet owner, I let my dog be a dog, I prefer wholistic or minimal medical intervention and each vet and vet technician at this office is always open to helping me balance science and nature based treatments for my dog. They are so loving and thoughtful and knowledgeable. My dog is 4 now and he is healthy and happy thanks to the team in this office.

Park La Brea has always been kind , respectful , and always concerned about my pups well being. My pup isn’t even afraid to go in , so his dog senses know it’s a good place to be! Great service, reasonable prices! We brought our cats in for a teeth cleaning and they were able to do everything in one visit! Only one of our cats needed to get their teeth cleaned and the total price was $300. Staff were very friendly!
