I really want to like Planet Fitness, but they are making it very hard. I visited East Washington location at the end of October to sign-up after being told by another Planet Fitness that I could use my ID to wave the annual fee since I am a front line worker. After arriving, I was told by the front desk people they had never heard such a promotion and they would check with the General Manager. Fast forward to the weekend of the Thanksgiving, I decided to just join, but I asked the same question again, and again I was told they had not heard of it. The young men (four of them), told me to have a seat and fill out forms on the tablet, which I did, then one walked up and proceed to tell me to hold off just incase the GM says no. He did not want me to be mad, if I could not get the annual fee waved. The young man started playing 20 questions with me about the conversation...who did I speak with, which PF did I call; and I gave him everything...I have a witness to both conversation. I completed the forms, paid my money, and returned to the front desk to the gaggle of young men. These are the people responsible for selling people on the gym when people visit...I had to ask for a tour!!!! The tour was thirdrate at best which included another guy pointing at areas, but he did walk us through the equipment. We were told to sign up for the PF App, but not told what to use for the barcode. I never received a call from the GM answering my questions which I was told would happen. Now for the cherry on top, I call today and spoke to the trainer to get help with the app login. I explained my unhappiness, and I get nothing from her other than she knows there are complaints about the weekend people and the GM and Asst GM will be changing in the next couple of months. I can live with paying the annual fee, but I can not deal with the lack of respect, poor customer service, and just collecting my money without proper service. I certainly hope my first work-out is better than this.

This place is good for a beginner gym goer. It has all the machines that target what you need and cardio section. Smaller than what I expected but cleaner and it said you can ask staff for any help. Not 24/7, doesn't have a pool, no female only room either but it's a nice place for newbies. I don't feel like pros go here, or at least the highly competitive gym goers don't hang here. This place is good enough for me and right on the bus line for the 10. I hope they keep their parking lot well clear when winter months come. Fingers crossed, since I'll be walking across it from the bus stop. I do love the counter and timers on machines. The counter makes sure you actually did a full movement so that helps. The timer is another added plus, you won't get over distracted by your phone. I went to visit the last day of hot summer and it was kinda warm in there. They have a huge ceiling fan but I think some floor ones will be helpful. Fall is basically here, not worried about temp inside for now.

My club is the best club! Everytime I come in no matter the time I’m greeted with verbal and / non verbal communication. Depends if they see if I have ear buds or not. The club is ALWAYS clean and the manager guys make sure of it. You never see the employees do the heavy cleaning, just the tidying up. The manager lifts and rocks the machines and the other one mops under them. The soap dispensers are always full, the water is how and has a good flow. It doesn’t spray everywhere. I do wish they had paper towels in the restroom but understand why. I like that the restroom has more than one trash available, especially for ladies. When the club had to close, the communication was timely and specific. I’ve been coming pretty consistently for about a year and this hasn’t changed. Whether I came at 5am, noon or 5pm. I frequent W 86th club when I’m at work and theirs is the COMPLETE opposite of mine…not in a good way. Makes me appreciate mine even more.

If you move far enough away that you can’t drive there to cancel your membership, be prepared to send a letter in the mail for them to cancel your membership. Just a way for them to get a couple more months of your money out of you. No exceptions! Edit in response to them: if you didn’t want to make it hard for people to cancel, you’d make exceptions for it to be easier… I get it’s your policy. But the policy is designed to make it difficult. It’s not designed to accommodate people that have given their hard earned money to your company Only to jump through hoops when they decide the don’t want to anymore. Be accommodating or uphold your policy. One of them is easy and great for customer service and the other is difficult for and bad for customer service. It’s not rocket science. My review still stands. 1 star for lack of empathy or willingness to take a step for customer satisfaction. I don’t care if it’s company policy.

I have gone to planet fitness for a very long time and I have seen a lot of faces as well as management during my time. I’m very pleased to say that Carlee has been the most productive manager and bright face in the gym. The new staff are very friendly! Michael makes me feel welcome every morning. I sign up with the trainer Austin and he really makes me enjoy coming to the gym. The gym is always clean, smells very fresh, and the new equipment is AWESOME! Carlee always goes out of her way to ask me how my workout is and see how i am doing. Tyler , the assistant always pushes me to want to come back! All the staff hype me up daily. This is by far the best location. I travel and i always end up missing east Washington. All the members are very friendly to me as well. Very impressed with how this gym has turned around and i have nothing but awesome things to say about Carlee as a role model there.

My experience has always been good , I tend to be more observant then most members due to working for fitness facilities , including Planet Fitness. With that being said I always seek out the positive within with the understanding of what it is like being on the other side and also with staff and how they handle matters. I can say that overall I have had a positive interaction and experience at all the locations , especially with having some other matters that also complicated things with my membership etc . I am glad that they ha e been understanding and consistent with efforts to help resolve matters. Always clean and open for suggestions on how yo make.things better as well. The price has always been reasonable for all that is offered as well.

Good Gym - but they should make it faster for black card members to immediately select what they need to use on a walk-up screen to select services instead of waiting for a worker to come back from cleaning or whatever else they're doing. If I want to use the massage chair now, I don't want to wait 5 minutes for a representative to notice I'm standing at the front desk waiting.. I want it now. That's why I'm paying for the black card membership benefits. Immediate service. The 5 minutes should also be upgraded to 10 minutes at least. It's awkward to go back each time just for another 5 minutes and hope to see a representative available again just to use another black card benefit again.

Good morning PF-East Washington Street, IN., The PF receptionist was phenomenal today( 3-30-23). Here I am, at another location and he took time to help another out of state, PF staff, with adding me into their system. Since I have the extra amenities packaged membership. If corporate is looking over this review. I would give this individual a raise. He definitely deserves it. When I tell you he took time to figure out the solution to the problem. I mean he literally stayed on the phone and directed throughly with the out of state PF staff member on navigating through the system, in order to access my membership. Keep it up! Thank you again, Donald.

Nice enough location. Definitely Semi Truck friendly so come on in Hand. I visit these Planets in many states so I experience a lot of different set ups in terms of style of gym. I wish they would leave the spray bottles out for everyone like the other planet fitnesses I’ve visited. Instead of having to go to the front desk for a bottle. No big deal. Just a little inconvenience. Only 5-6 TVs. Can view better if there were a few more closer to my treadmill. Spaced out a bit much. Again, no big deal. Just had to mention it. Thanks for having so many locations thru out the USA My Black Card membership is priceless.

I am from California I visited this gym in early morning for workout i saw its very clean that time not too much crowd. Only employee matt is working that time and he cleaned all stuff that time i talk to him and gave appreciate because he did perfectly cleaning and sanitizing. He is nice person i did workout arround 1.5 hrs i saw he never sit he did his job honestly and i love this gym i am long haul truck driver and everytime different location i saw but really like this gym and also they have big parking lot for semi truck park I honestly recommend to everyone for this area please come and try here so thank you for staff

This gym is pretty spread out. There is plenty of air flow which some locations struggle with. I was able to easily find machines and didn't have to wait for them. They have the both hydromassage beds and loungers. The layout of the locker rooms are probably some of the best I have ever seen. Sadly the water pressure is REALLY low! I've seen pressure drop when someone flushes a toilet but this is the first time that I have seen the water literally stop when that happens. I really like that the showers have a small bench in them.

This is my second time at this gym, first time no issues, 2nd time they tell me my account was red flagged, then asked do I live in the area, also mentioned this in front of my guest nothing was private I felt like they were invading in my personal life which made me feel uncomfortable.. the vibe seemed weird after I asked why do they need to know that personal info. But after I said that, they just kinda brushed me off with smiles. I did not like the way I was approached. It seemed like a 3 on 1 attack initially

This gym is super clean and well organized! Carlee is always so welcoming, polite, energetic, and genuine. She has really changed the gym around. The restrooms are always super clean. The amenities always smell fresh and are available. The equipment is always clean and the staff are positive. Meg is always checking me in with a smile. They all know my name and make me feel welcome. I love this gym and would recommend it to anyone. There Trainer Tayler is very cool as well.

Been a member off and on over the years since they first opened this location. Cancelling my membership this time due to lack of security. Had my lock broken off of my locker and money stolen from my wallet. Spoke with other members who recently had their lockers broken into as well. All staff does is fill out a complaint report and say they're sorry. If crimes are happening regularly here I think more should be done.

I want to give a shout out to Amanda. I love how clean and efficient she keeps the gym. The sanitation stations are kept full and she coaches the other staff on how to keep the gym nice for us. I am a small business owner and I am always excited when I walk into a business and they take care of you from the minute you enter and even say goodbye as you leave! They have a wonderful staff there now. Thank you very much!

This is not my home gym, however I visit numerous times a week. First the facility is very clean and neat! The staff is very professional and will answer questions about machines, and the staff know how to operate the total body enhancement machine! I eventually will switch this location to my home gym! Last thing they will enforce the rules if they need to, in a professional friendly manner.

Equipment is in good shape and we'll maintained. I have been going here for years and noticed new equipment frequently. Roof leaks and they had a mop bucket catching the water. But overall the place is clean. Even notice staff cleaning up while there. Thanks to COVID you get your own bottle of sanitizer to carry around and clean equipment with!

The temperature drops and it’s back to the old schedule switcheroo. When you guys close at random times. Why does it say you close at 11 on Mondays and I get there at 8:30 and the facility is already closed? Honestly I’m canceling my membership and signing up with Anytime fitness. The Florida locations would never let me down like this smh

I’ve been using this location for 4 years now and it’s always been a nice location. Typical staff turnover for a pf but they’re usually kind and helpful. Clean for the most part but not obsessively like others planet fitness locations I’ve gone to previously. Equipment is nice and they have a decent variety. Overall it’s a good gym.

I’ve been coming here for around 2 months now. The place is typically clean and organized. I came into today and Donald was extremely polite and helpful. It is nice to have a gym experience where someone is genuinely helpful. He was also cleaning up and staying busy while No one was at the front desk. Donald gets a 10/10 as well!

Small gym in comparison to most other gyms, although they have a awesome variety of gym equipment & cardio machines. Have some very unique Equipment. Tanning & massage therapy included w/premium. Bare bones locker room, no track or basketball court, & No Sauna are the negative aspects of the gym. Great for the price!!

I love checking into this location. The energy you get working out here is so positive it's contagious. The staff professional and friendly. The restrooms are immaculate along with the equipment. I'm a former member of LA Fitness, and Golds Gym. I'll never leave Planet Fitness!

Staff are friendly and typically greet me when I come in and wish me well when I leave. Locker rooms are well cleaned and maintained so showering is a viable option. Selection of equipment and availability is very good so I can get my workout in without interruption.

I've been a member of the location on east Washington St for over 5 years. The facility is clean, well lit with nice equipment. The staff is very friendly and respectful. The members are polite and respectful. And the price is good. Who could ask for more?

Good experience. The equipments are being constantly cleaned by workers and users. You get your own bottle to clean your equipment. Workers are friendly and helpful. Only problem I see and why I didn’t give it a 5 star is several of the TVs needs fixing.

Loved it! Haven't been in a long while. Today was my first day back in a gym and I'm glade I picked this one. The staff was very kind and helpful this morning and the was clean. All machine in working order too. I can't wait to go back in a couple days!

I think I did pretty well sense I haven't been in months. The people are really nice at this one. The massage chair was amazing!!!! I'm so glad to be able to go somewhere to not only workout but talk to nice people and get great advice from workers!!!!

I switched from another similar gym and am really happy I did. The staff are friendly. They keep the gym tidy. My gym goals are basic and this is a great choice. Changing their hours starting feb 14. No overnights, but still open til 11pm most nights.

It's taken me a while to get on the fitness bandwagon -some habits are hard to kill, don't judge!! Anyways, I decided on PF mainly due to price. The $23 black card membership is a good bang for your buck. PF offers a nice, clean environment

The gym is good. The prices for the memberships and the black card are good, but still making Automatic transactions. Is something I do not like I still get charged even when I cancel my membership even if it’s canceled on a certain day

I went to this location and first thing I noticed it wasn’t that clean and then the lady that worked there was rude and treated me with racism. She doesn’t like white people!! So I recommend you go to beach grove location or to Get Fit..

My sister and I meet up here every Monday to catch up, shoot the breeze, and plan for the week. The gym is very well kept. I didn't have to wait for a machine so my workout was great. To top it off, the hydro massage beds were amazing!

It's always clean, staff stays out-of thr way but are helpful of needed. I go after work so it isn't usually super busy around 4pm. Has lots of equipment, nice lockerooms. Been using it for a week and have no complaints

Friendly staff. Super clean facility. It's never really that busy. I always get the machines I want to use. They have tanning and massage chairs/beds. The locker room has nice showers.

I go when it 1st opens in the morning, and it is great. If you are a beginner or someone who just wants to stay in decent shape. This is the place and for a respectful cost.
