We loved our stay here! We're a family of 6 with four kids. We were greeted so warmly with a fresh glass of juice. The reception staff were over the top amazing and helpful. The housekeepers were so kind and kept the rooms so clean. They even have us extra waters for our kids at no charge.we enjoyed the meals and despite other reviews I've read, I thought there was good variety. The chef and kitchen staff were so friendly and sweet. The o oy complaint we have is with the outdoor /recreational staff. They were awful. Never had the pool ready. We asked for mattresses on the pool/lounge chairs and actually had a fight because the staff there didn't want to bring it. Maybe he was too busy on Facebook? We sat out 2 year old on the hard wooden chair with no mattress because he didn't feel like getting a mattress. There was not always a staff at the bar either. Anyway, other than the staff outside who were nothing but awful, all other staff were amazing and we loved our stay!

This is a small basic living hotel that does not offer luxury of any kind. It has one pool with various slopes, mostly deep. You can enjoy a nice evening walk on the relatively lit beach after dinner during low tide. While the rooms have great ambience, are spacious and generally well setup, the hotel is very old and as such the rooms are outdated. They provide bottled water, toiletries and a shower cap. Hot shower is available. In the rooms, telephones don't work, the sockets needed to be rewired a decade ago and lamps don't work. The WiFi is also quite weak. For the price of an all inclusive resort in Watamu or Diani, the dinner only has 2 starch and 2 protein options at the buffet, includes no water/soft drinks, and breakfast is severely underwhelming. There is not pool/beach towel service. Overall not great value for money.

With direct beach access, this hotel has clean swimming pool, clean rooms, delicious food, free Wi-Fi,Free and ample parking. It has a beach front bar.They offer massage services. Its a beautiful and relaxing space bt beware of monkey that will steal your breakfast .

Your hotel is nice and strategically placed on beach front but you need to improve on service. 1. Improve on cleanliness. The corridors very dirty, rooms are good but not cleaned well especially on the floor. Very old towels. 2. Reception not friendly. Had paid in advance and Rooms were not ready on arrival had to wait at reception for hours. 3. You need to buy enough utensils had to wait for plates and cups if you are late for breakfast or supper. 4. Food just there. Improve on menus. 5. Covid 19 protocol not observed waiter were serving food with no masks. 6. Access to safe box not available. If you have Valuables you keep them at your own risk. You can make the best if you improve. Take this positively and do the necessary changes I would like to come back to a better plaza soon.

This hotel is on another level, my family and i really enjoyed especially their catering services , their rates are on another level too, i must says personally i really enjoyed and thinking of visiting again bringing more people with me too, i used to tell my sister to pay a hotel but she used to say she can't and the day i went there with her, she really enjoyed and she didn't even let a month end, immediately her kids closed school she visited again with them. I JUST LOVE PLAZA BEACH

Their staff are responsive and supportive. There is a young man - waiter - who was very nice and professional.. They have a Salon which is convenient. I hope it keeps busy

The room I got was booked by ana agent but seemed old-fashioned in design however very good. We'll maintained with AC. I'd recommend it for couples working on a budget.

Rooms -were not cleaned properly especially the bathrooms. Service- students were treated differently and were not given the same food as the other guests. Food -they do not have breakfast necessities and they serve food from the previous night. It would be nice to get feedback on how services would be improved.

This is an over-rated hotel. The service is mediocre. The staff are rude and unprofessional. The rooms are dirty and sticky. The hotel is run down and in a state of disrepair. There was no tissue in the rooms. The towels were dirty. They don't have coffee. And the food tastes stale. I try to be fair on all my reviews but Plaza is the worst hotel experience in my life. One would rather stay at a hostel and save yourself grief and money.

It has very beautiful views and great service for both food and rooms. It has a very beautiful swimming pool scenery. It is definitely worth it spending here

It was my first beach experience and my oh my, beach view was superb! The hotel is great and very affordable. Great rates and accommodative. Try them. Have this rustic effect. Old is always gold.

The staff was ever so friendly, beautiful pool and beach. The garden area is very nice. If you’re on a budget it’s a nice choice. The whole place though is in need of renovation, the washrooms by the pool and the reception were poorly furnished, lacking soap and not very clean overall. The rooms look nice but the mosquito net does a very poor job protecting you from bites! A-C in the room was working well.

Located at the shores of Indian ocean, you get to experience sunrise and sea waves at the comfort of your room. It's a nice place to spend holidays

WiFi and network was unstable and at times poor. Limited dinner choices in the buffet but breakfast was amazing. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. Its a good place.Would recommend it and will definitely come back.

Horrible experience. The only good thing is the location of the property. If you’ve seen my reviews over the years, I am a person who likes to focus on the positives. But for this one I can’t. Just a simple question- why is it difficult to change basic things like towels? Just horrible Hopefully you’ll improve and make the place enjoyable.

Friendly and hospitable service. It's a quiet resort in the middle of much busier and expensive places. They have a decent pool, bar, conference centre, and spa. The food is good but there are few options outside of set mealtimes. The rooms are clean and are being updated so the hotel will have newer air conditioning units soon.

Moulds on the walls, Very Old towels, poor-no wifi, food was just there, sockets not working, cold showers in the morning, a receptionist full of attitude,the only interesting thing is that its close to the beach and a good swimming pool. We did not enjoy anything else here! Would not recommend this place to anyone! Zaidi

Beach hotel with value for money, fantastic service, food, pleasant, spacious room, kind and very helpful hotel staff. To just name a few: Frank, Winnie and Ruth were very friendly and helpful. I made some requests on breakfast and packaging and these went beyond the call of duty. Keep up the good work. I will be back.

My family and i like to chill at plaza beach on most weekends! The hotel is soo serene and their food, top notch! The only team that's letting them down is the waitresses at the pool area, always very slow to come take the orders, I have had to follow them and request them to come take our orders a few times.

The rooms were clean, staff were friendly and helpful, the location was close enough to Mombasa for activities and excursions, and the food was good, with many healthy options :)

Absolutely fantastic place. Great services, this place feel like home, the staff are very welcoming and kind. Great for family vacations, honeymoon and personal getaways. Plaza Beach Hotel has this rustic and classic Swahili-Arabic feel, it’s pool and beach view is healing.

Was there for a 5 day stay with colleagues. Being my first time I must say I really enjoyed their food and their swimming pool area adjacent to the beach. However they should try and do a bit of touch up to their rooms to ensure they are all up to to standard.

The ambiance is wonderful, pocket friendly. You get the treatment of a beach hotel and experience at a great price. Need to improve on the food though, not soo bad though. The pool is clean and the water aerobics makes one have a very peaceful afternoon nap...

Great place! The hotel offer really good value for your money, also the staff are super friendly, food is decent and its in a great location. Most rooms offer an amazing view of the sea. You have good bars and restaurants within short distance.

Great staff. Great Ocean view. Great swimming pool. Food need variety and fast orders. You may have to wait for an hour for fries to be prepared. Room towels are old and not pure white. Improve on this and Plaza will be perfect destination.

Reasonable price. it has nice garden and sea view. Breakfast is good. The only problem what I saw in the hotel needs some renovations such as changing lights , and furniture. Apart from that is quite good. Staffs are friendly and helpful.

The hotel is set in a serene environment if your looking for a quiet place to calm your mind. I loved their buffet breakfast and the fact that the guard at the pool engages customers to play games in the water. An overall good experience
