After experiencing a house fire, where we lost everything, I came to PB when it was time to replace items-furniture, rugs and accessories. I had the absolute best experience with the sales associates (especially Jen) who went above and beyond in helping me decide on items, and even with contacting Pottery Barn Teen and helping with those items for my son's room. On top of this, when there were issues with a couple of the furniture pieces (missing parts with bed so delivery man could not put together...and a scratch on a dresser), they went ahead and not only refunded one, but gave me a credit of $300 to keep the piece with the scratch. It was their willingness to do whatever needed to be done to keep me satisfied, make up for the inconvenience, AND how they do white glove delivery service, which was so appreciated. We had to deal with so many retailers/contractors throughout this ordeal, and Pottery Barn was one of the bright spots, and represented true service and quality merchandise. Yes, you may pay a bit more for certain items, but well worth having peace of mind. I would also recommend especially PB rugs when on sale (great value and quality), and PB Teen furniture (though hard to find complete sets and all online).
This store has gone way down hill with customer service. I walked in and a blonde helped with my return but when it came time to help me pick out a new quilt, completely bailed on me. She said "ok, you can just go look around then" and left me while she helped other customers and talked on the phone. I ended up making a purchase anyway. BUT stood at the counter for 15 minutes waiting while the clerks tried to decide who wanted to check me out at the register. It was a mess and none of them were dressed nicely, looked proper, knew the merchandise or even greeted me, said goodbye or knew what was going on. This is not how it used to be in that store. It makes me sad because this store used to be so nice and the employees were spot on. This is actually the SECOND TIME that same blonde woman has treated me this way. For some reason I thought they were supposed to help customers with design needs? I used to go in there all the time an purchase regularly. I think I will stick to my other local store or shop online.
Worst customer service ever. In the store looking for a couch . One sales person walked by me as I was looking at a sofa barely acknowledged me. I attempted to get the attention of another salesperson who was about two feet away from me completely ignored me continue to walk on by. A-third salesperson was helping a client about a foot and a half away from me did not bother to say some would be with me in a bit or that she herself would help me when she was done with her client. They should have sales people who don't appear to cater to just one group of individuals & are more customer service oriented.
Excellent staff for the most part. This review is specifically in response to my experience with the manager. I’m unsure of her name, but it was the most unpleasant and rude experience I’ve ever had. After a grueling return process, I was met with the most condescending and unempathetic person. As a service member and a customer, I am astounded that the manager would even talk to someone like that. I can assure you that I’ll drive the extra few minutes down the road to a different pottery barn just to avoid this horrid person, and will be contacting corporate about my experience.
After doing some online shopping, my wife and I decided to see our selections in the store. Upon arrival we were allowed to peruse the store for awhile without assistance. Athena came over when she had a moment to ask if we needed some help. She was attentive, knowledgeable, honest, kind, and not pushy at all. I don't know why there's so many negative reviews here, but if you're hesitant to shop at Pottery Barn because of those reviews, please give them a shot. You'll be glad you did.
One of the male managers at Fashion Valley was extremely rude to me when I was looking at bed style and color options on the computer in the “design center”. He basically kicked me off the computer for no reason. Very disappointing seeing as I’m actually looking to buy one of their beds and now I won’t be because of this experience. Not to mention, I spent thousands of dollars the day prior at pottery barn kids.
The whole staff at this store are very unfriendly and they lack customer service. I have spent a large amount of money buying furniture from them and they still were so rude and gave me attitude. They have very bad vibes going on as soon as I walked in I could feel them. I will never buy from this store again!
The manager Iris was so sweet and kind. She helped me process a return of two plates and instead of just rushing me out the door took the time to have an actual conversation with me and ask me about my weekend. Definitely recommend working with her!
Has to be the best looking and best customer service in any PB we have been in. We didn't get the persons name working tonight but she made sure to say high to everyone in the store and checked in on us to make sure we were ok.
They don't have a product in stock...I try to order through the store...they want me to pay for shipping. They refuse to get the product in store so that I can purchase it there.
Unfortunately, I was ignored and they were jot busy. I needed a nice rug but went to living spaces and bought 2! I also ended up financing outdoor patio furniture. Yay!!!
Higher quality outdoor furniture, umbrellas, pillows and other patio items. Very nice store with a lot of products for outdoor living, but a little on the pricy side.
Made in America prices on made in China furniture and accessories. Good service, good about exchanges for defective merchandise. Good selection on the accessories.
The furniture and the accessories are always impeccable. Pottery Barn has always had a reputation for quality and great service and they never have let me down.
Service was…..okay. Sakes clerks didn’t appear to be fully engaged. The store needs some upbeat, positive life.
Everyone was super helpful, no matter what part of the store we went, they were there to help! Will return
Classic furniture and accessories for your home. Friendly staff, very clean inside and well-lit.
So many options for home decorations. Unique and one-of-a-kind items.
Love the Pottery Barn in Fashion Valley mall. The staff is great!!
Service was helpful with a return. They gave me a store credit.
Pricing is expensive but the quality of the furniture is great!
