I have just had a terrible experience at this establishment. I had been told positive things re this Bakery an decided to take my friend there for her birthday. Once entering we ordered 1 cup of coffee and a pot of tea with cake. All was going well at this stage then we tried to find a table without dirty cutlery and plates on it. Once this was done we sat in a very hot annex. After 10minutes we received the cake then waited another 10 minutes for our drinks. My friend received her cold coffee and I waited for my tea. Another 10 minutes passed an my friend had finished her coffee then my tea arrived in a tea pot which was good. The problem was the tea pot had ½ inch of water in it and no milk was provided. I then asked if I could have milk this before I realised there was insufficient water. The young fellow wondered off an did not return. I then returned my tea an cup to the front desk an told then Manager/ Owner what had happened. His response was to take the tea pot an cup of me an dump it out the back and did not offer me a refund or a new cup of tea. Unbelievable customer service. Needless to say I will not be returning and not recommending it to any one I speak to.
Our first experience with Rise Bakery today and it was a very good one indeed. We opted to share a 'Roma' baguette and it was thoughtfully served warmed slightly through which made all the difference. The flavours of the prosciutto with the pesto etc were just right and the baguette was top class. We also had a mille feuille where the slightly 'burnt toffee' taste of the flaky pastry was a fantastic balance with the gentle sweetness of the custard. A vanilla eclair was equally pleasing - not sickly sweet in any way but a beautiful explosion of true vanilla flavour on the tongue. Coffee was extra hot, just as ordered and the tea was great too. Overall a fantastic visit. Well done, Rise!

The food display is immaculate. Presentation shows everything you need. Friendliest staff members who are always ready to assist. Bakery items are mouthwatering. Hot drinks are recommended to go with your meal or snack. The seating area has a good atmosphere.

Great place, ambience, parking nearby, baby/kid friendly. Lovely french pastries and contrary to the reviews, I received good service without a big wait. I believe the owner was also waiting tables, and got his hands dirty. Respect! Flavour and ingredients are top. The beef pie was delicious. Lost a star because I had asked for a not-burnt sourdough. My Italian husband was not impressed when I got home and I got an earful. Couldn't really scrape it off either. Taste-wise, the sourdough is great, just a note for the baker: lower the temperature oven slightly as the bottom and tops are burning. Or use more semolina. The photos are after we tried to scrape off burnt bottom.
We visited the Rise bakery on a Sunday morning and we definitely would not return. There was a 30 minute wait on takeaway coffee so we opted just for sweets. However we then waited at least 15 minutes for somebody to then get our sweets out of the cabinet. I’ve never been to a bakery that doesn’t give you your sweets as soon as you order them. They need to see how efficiently Mica and Agnes operate. It was also just an average lemon meringue. The pastry was golden and crisp. But there was too much meringue and the lemon was not zesty enough. Not to mention the cost - $9.50! This bakery is way too inefficient so unless they improve their service, we won’t be returning.
Very light and modern shop. I normally buy my sourdough from Wildbreads but, since I live in the area, I was excited to try Rise. There were 7 customers queued, 1 serving, 4 behind the counter and 2 running tables. All I wanted was a loaf of bread. When I finally got to the serving girl I had to give my name so she could 'order' the bread 'from the shelf on the back wall!' Such a waste of time and her attitude was very snippy. Not friendly at all. Sadly, I felt the bread was overpriced for the size (they were all varying loaf sizes of the same bread type. One very small). The glass case of pastries was practically empty and it was only after midday! Disappointing.
Rise stands as an exemplary French bakery in Brisbane. My experience there was nothing short of exceptional. The ham and cheese croissant, along with the almond croissant, were simply delightful, showcasing a level of craftsmanship that speaks to their expertise. Additionally, the coffees served were of the highest quality, complementing the pastries perfectly. Furthermore, the bakery's ambiance exudes a refined and tasteful atmosphere, adding to the overall enjoyment of the visit. Without reservation, I highly recommend Rise to anyone seeking a sophisticated and gratifying culinary experience in Bridbane. Merci!
I went today at 0906h , 5 staff members inside they were talking to each other a group of 3 and a group of 2, and one girl making coffee. No one said hi, or came to take my order, they having fun talking to each others, very disappointed. For the owners keep in mind no other place like Hamilton had coffee shops closed for business shortly after opening, pleas don’t take people for granted in area where so much competition. I don’t understand why they don’t have line for someone just wanted a coffee rather than lining up for 30 min to order a stupid coffee .

We had lunch here during the week. The space is very nice and the arched mirrors behind the shelves is a beautiful addition. Unfortunately they had sold out of a lot of things before we arrived for lunch. I had a vegetarian baguette. The filling was nice but the baguette was really dry unfortunately. It made it a little hard to eat. Otherwise it was nice.

They have done a great job on the ambience and decor, the pastries are delicious and the coffee is good but they have a long way to go on service. Despite having plenty of staff the wait time is unacceptable and staff attitude is below par from some. The system of work is broken - there is poor communication between staff and everything falls through the cracks. You have the potential for a great business - if you work on your service and efficiency.
Scrumptious Lemon Meringue Tart, which I really enjoyed the first time I went here. Very zesty and the meringue was beautifully marshmallowy. The cross section pic is amazing. However, yesterday I popped over on my lunch break to get one to takeaway and have later with my husband to celebrate our 1st Wedding anniversary.. but come to dessert time and I was given a Berry Tart . Beautiful place and nice enough staff but I'm hurt
I recently ordered a birthday strawberry tart for my girlfriend from Riser Portside. Despite my last minute order, it was made beautifully with a personalised, edible birthday message which was such a lovely touch. I’ve tried many French bakeries in Brisbane but Rise was a standout as the tart was not aggressively sweet and it was made with beautiful fresh ingredients, a lot of love and authenticity. Highly recommend!
Just discovered this place and am in love with it. I ordered an ice mocha & ham & cheese quiche which was absolutely divine. The venue is beautifully set-up and the display of goodies is great. It's more suited for 2 to 4 people table seating so not ideal if you have a bigger group. The seating area is small and tight but cosy tight (if that makes sense). Definitely going to hit up this spot again!
Manage to seek in to get some yummy bake goods. It is easy to find parking. I bought the Ham and cheese croissant (full of flavour with generous serve of ham and cheese), St. Barth (light and refreshing and the passion fruit mousse was tangy but not sweet) and Pain Suisse (yummy vanilla custard and chocolate with flaky crust of pastry). The coffee was good and so was the service!
Plain croissant and Pork Roll were nice thus far! Other pastries looked really nice and so were the cakes. Was quite disappointed with the coffee as I like mine strong and alittle bitter. The large cap tasted like it had one shot and too much milk. Might try it one more time to confirm the consistency of coffee here. I'll be definitely back for other pastries and cakes!
That was worth the wait!! I absolutely love their pastries, especially the Paris Brest and Lemon Meringue Pie. They come wrapped in nice packaging! The quality and French expertise are definitely present. I will be back for sure, and this time I would love to try their range of champagne. You will see me again! Thank you for this authentic French experience!
My daughter Chloé and I were there today to meet Harry to discuss a wedding cake. We were very impressed by what was offered to us, the professionalism shown by Harry and Adrien and excellent service. We look forward to our continued collaboration for the wedding. Merci Harry

You've got to pick up your game Rise.. Probably the worst eclairs ever unfortunately. Brought a vanilla and a chocolate, both were completely soggy, doesn't indicate freshness.they were unpleasant to say the least. The baguette is good though, but will not be returning

Beautifully set up, very nice place even for dine in (though it can get quite noisy when it is crowded). Tried the chicken pie, beef pie and raspberry choclate almond croissant. Chicken pie was good, really highly recommend the raspberry chocolate almond croissant!

What a cute little place to grab a hot chocolate and some french baked goods. Hot chocolate was on point service was amazing great banter and prompt. Be. Warned there was a line up for this place be patient as it is worth it. Not much seating but you are right near water so you can grab and walk and enjoy the area.
This place is beautiful! They've managed to capture a Parisian vibe with authentic pastries and desserts to match. Highly recommend the Pain Suisse. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Did a walk in around 10:30 midweek, and it was perfect. Plenty of options and seating. Oh and they have bubbly too...
Ordered from the QR code at the table. 20 minutes later, only after 2 complaints to staff, was delivered a pie and a quiche, no accompaniments and 2 stingy one third filled glasses of wine. After lunch went across the road for two cheaper filled to the top glasses of wine. Won't be back More
Completely delicious, the coffee was amazing and the pastries delightful!! Really nice spot to relax and enjoy with friends Excellent customer service as well.

Incredible food, beautiful bakery and wanted to highlight the outstanding service provided by the manager in charge this Saturday morning. The customer service was fantastic. Even the take away package is beautiful, lots of thoughts and care in there, I will definitely be back.
Friday at 10:15 am. Very limited range of pastries available - 1 apple turnover, 1 almond croissant, 1 raisin scroll and a few plain croissants. Waited 30 minutes for a Capuccino which was lukewarm at best. Very busy and extremely noisy. Much better coffee places in Brisbane.
Great little bakery/Cafe for a excellent coffee and pastries. Service was amazing and very friendly.

A really trendy bakery to compliment Portside Wharf’s vibes. Such a great selection of treats to choose from. The shop is simply gorgeous and not too expensive too. Just a super nice place to enjoy a coffee and pastry if you don’t feel like going to an ordinary cafe.

I came this afternoon it's such an amazing bakery, the pastries and coffee are delicious.. you should try ST barths, the staff are friendly, especially the young boy waiter and the manager who was taking care of all visitors, I will come back again for sure
Such a great bakery. The staff are so warm and inviting while the coffee and pastries are the best you'll find anywhere. I would say its a tiny bit better than the Rise at Sanctuary Cove, but only because its only 5mins away from my front door.
Not a huge selection. Maybe I woke up too late. Nothing different or particularly interesting or sets it apart from the competition although the girls that served me were really helpful. I got a Mille feuille which looks really good but the

Went to the Hamilton one this weekend, waited 20mins for a flat white which was definitely not a flat white. I ordered a ham and cheese, almond and choc croissant have just gone to eat the almond this morning to open and find a plain. No
The only disappointing this about this review is my photos. Ordered a beef Bourgignon pie and apple turnover. Both were incredible. Not sure why they put ketchup in with the pie, surely that is sacrilegious. Definitely would go back
This place is amazing. The pastries are delicious and the service is excellent. The Manager Felipe is so welcoming. I will definitely come back. Best French bakery in Brisbane.

A delicious bechamel crossiant. The inside of the bakery was very noisy and echoing alot and it wasn't a busy day. I would definitely eat there again however I'd possibly take my yummy items and sit near the water somewhere.
Popped by for some coffee and dessert. Really loved the fruit tart, not too sweet and had so many layers. Would recommend.

One of the best in brisbane ! Just came back from France and the quality of the food is exactly the same ! So tasty ! Love the ham & butter sandwich. My coffee was amazing and staff too.
Delicious! Had a baguette and felt like I was transported back to eating them in Bordeaux. Also had to grab a selection of sweets to take home and they were great! Loved the fruit tart!
I was so excited to try out this new bakery and it didn’t disappoint! The croissants were amazing and the coffee just as I like it! Can’t wait to go back next weekend!
We had lunch here today and what can I say, the most delicious ham and cheese quiche, croissants served with mini jam jars, and coffee to die for, must visit asap

The best place to have a breakfast that I have been in Brisbane! The food, the atmosphere and specially the team make you feel in Paris!
Beautiful shop and the staff were all really friendly. Definitely coming back for more of those delicious Lunettes …
Flawless experience here. Wonderful service, fantastic coffee and exceptional baked goods. Plus a beautiful shop and setting.
If I could give 10 stars I would! Picked up some pastries at their soft launch this morning for the office. Hands
Big call here... Best Chicken Pie. Try it and if not, keen to know where's yours. Fruity Danish was fresh.
This feels authentic and Parisian. Honestly - so delicious! The quiche was the tastiest I've ever had.
Best experience outside of France. Food is amazing and staff are all super friendly. 10/10 recommend.
Bought it in the morning, it’s hard as rock and the almond croissant fell into two separate parts.
Stunning little bakery, so glad the terrace is now open. The beef bourguignon pie really is life !
