Although the initial person I spoke with didn't input all my information correctly this the plumber who was supposed to show up between 1 & 3 didn't. I called at 3:15 and got a different person who did her absolute best to accommodate me. She said that he would be there between 5 & 7 but would do her best to get him there sooner. He arrived at 4:05 p.m. The plumber named Eric was very professional, polite, respectful, knowledgeable and personable. He explained what he was going to do and did it to the best of his ability as well as quickly. It took him less than an hour to determine the problem, address the problem and clean up. It turned out to be the ever pesky "tree roots" with a blockage caused by said tree roots. He cut back the tree roots as much as he was able and cleaned the blockage completely. Flushing all of it through the city lines instead of bringing the mess into the house. Which I was personally grateful for. I chose Roto Router because I remember the commercials from my childhood (early 80's) and figured that a company that has been in continuous business for several decades has to be doing something right and I wasn't wrong. I personally recommend using this company for any and all plumbing needs. They are a good business that doesn't seek to "sell" you services that you don't need. They quickly identify the problem then discuss it with you then do only the work required to fix the problem thoroughly and properly. They bill you exactly the work that you agreed to and they preformed. In a day and age where you have to be mindful of everything because so many people/companies want to take advantage of you and over bill/charge you, it's nice and refreshing to come across a company that doesn't do that and is honest and fair with their customers. Again I highly recommend this company's services.

I received Roto-Rooter's service on Labor Day weekend, when I encountered a leakage issue in my basement washroom. I was initially concerned that I wouldn't find any help on a holiday, but Roto-Rooter came through. Quinton, the plumber sent by Roto-Rooter, arrived promptly and assessed the situation. He quickly identified the need to open the pipeline for a closer examination. Knowing that it was Labor Day, he informed me that he would return the next day after securing any necessary parts if the issue was related to a broken component. True to his word, Quinton returned as promised and conducted a thorough review of the problem. However, he determined that the issue required a specialist's touch. He arranged for his supervisor, Eric, to visit and resolve the problem the following day. Quinton didn't charge anything for the first two days. On the third day, Eric arrived and demonstrated his expertise by understanding the issue and obtaining the required parts. Despite the challenges presented by the tight space and the need to remove the washroom, Eric persevered and successfully fixed the problem in just 1.5 hours. His precision and dedication to the task were truly commendable. Both Quinton and Eric were not only skilled professionals but also exceptionally well-mannered and considerate individuals. Eric, in particular, shared valuable insights about what had caused the issue and offered guidance on how to prevent it from happening in the future. While Roto-Rooter's services may be on the higher side in terms of cost, the peace of mind and quality of service they provide are well worth it. I’ve had Rotorooter come to my home about 3 times in the past. The first 2 times they were quick, efficient and professional. After having recurring blockage in my kitchen drain, I had them come and replace some of the old cast iron pipes in my basement. The first guy came and gave me a quote. I agreed and made an appointment. When they came to do the work, a new technician by the name of Nathan came and said I was under quoted. He gave me a new quote that was a few hundred dollars higher but he said this is the best way to ensure they don’t need to come back in the future. I reluctantly agreed. He then started to complain to me about a previous customer who he recently worked for. After doing the work, I noticed that my laundry tub was now very loose and no longer secured well to the wall. My dryer vent was pushed out from the home as it was now being pushed by a new pipe . He installed a cheater vent rather than use the proper vent pipe that was easily accessible that vents through the roof. To top it off, after he left I noticed that my dishwasher started to leak. He came back for a service call and said he didn’t cause the leak and said it was me! He said a line was cracked and his tool doesn’t allow him to tighten it enough to crack so it had to be me. I told him he was the only person who worked on it but he didn’t believe me and insisted to charge another $100-$200. I told him to get out and I ended up fixing it myself in 5 minutes. I called the company to file a complaint and I was told the manager was away and would call me back. No one ever called back and I’ve never used their service since. I’ll never use Roto Rooter on Parkdale again.

Our experience with Roto-Rooter Plumbing, Hamilton was outstanding, specifically our experience with Eric Smith was outstanding.  What a gem! When we called Roto-Rooter Plumbing, Hamilton we had already had a few bad experiences with Plumbing companies so that coupled with our actual plumbing problems, to say the least we were frustrated. Eric came to our house to assess the situation and immediately we were impressed with how knowledgeable and professional he was.  Eric was kind, patient and honest, an absolute pleasure to interact with. He explained what the issue was and came up with a plan to resolve everything. The following week, Eric came back to finish the plumbing job. He worked quickly and completed the job in a timely manner all while exhibiting a good quality body of work. We couldn't have been more pleased. We would recommend Roto-Rooter Plumbing, Hamilton based on this experience with Eric alone. However I will say that all in all Roto-Rooter provided good customer service and had reasonable prices. They were supposed to come by and fix a leaking rain drain but did not bring the correct equipment. We let them use our ladders to make the repair but then they did not have the right material. One guys goes to get the material but clearly it was not enough because they left knowing the pipe is still leaking!! It rained heavily and the pipe leaked and damaged our inventory. They also didnt bother cleaning up after themselves and left a huge mess on the ground. Anyways, it rained and it leaked again after they said they were "done" so when we got up we saw the whole pipe cracked. When we got a second opinion, a plubler advised us they used the wrong clamps and pipes. We called them again and they came and fixed the pipe, so far it seems to be fine but we still dont trust the work. As for the mess they left all the garbage on the floor again and brushed the dust and chipped rust "under the rug" but still clearly noticeable. If you want a professional job done, these are not your people. They have ne respect for you or your place and will create a bigger mess than there already is.

I read good reviews and expected high. But found them not professional enough. I was booked for 9am (I was not given a time range). Called several times for their exact time me of arrival but they were not sure when scheduled a plumbing technician would finish previous job. I had to reschedule. This time I was told he would arrive at 5pm. I called several times again and finally came at 6:25pm. Though all work ended well. I found the technician not enough experienced and as he sealed new wash basin on top of existing dirt and I had to scrub over so hard to get rid of it. After a installation, he found a leak because a part was incorrectly installed and hence broke. It needed rework and hence he took extra time. I also had to give him hand in the process. Parts were very expensive. If I was told regarding part costs, I could have arranged them from home depot across the street. I did not find it justified that I was charged for 3.5 hours. I will not come back to them.

I cannot share enough good things about Aaron and his team at Roto-Rooter Hamilton. I initially called them for a second opinion after an absolutely terrible experience with a different company. On a Friday evening, a technician arrived at my home within an hour, and a plan soon followed that put me 1000x more at ease than I had been in the past week of dealing with a different company. At that point we had been without water for 2 days thanks to the other company and Roto-Rooter were able to come up with a quick fix solution so that we could have water until the main repairs could take place a couple days later - something that the other company never suggested at all. Their honesty and integrity were apparent from the start. I will forever recommend Aaron and his team to anyone I know who needs these services and cannot see myself hiring anyone else for similar services in the future. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

It takes a certain type of person to snake a drain. A man who wakes up early in the morning, straps on his steel-toes and greets the day with a smirk of grim determination. Andrew arrived on time and, dare I say it; "crushed er'" So hats off to the good people at Roto-Rooter and hats off to you Andrew, my house doesn't smell like sewage anymore, and that might not seem like much to those stuffed shirts at city hall, but to salt of the earth folks like you and I, well, it means a whole lot.

GREAT Company! Another company that we had lined up to come, failed to show up! I called Roto Rooter and explained the situation and that we needed someone to come asap. It was a Saturday, so we expected a long wait. Receptionist, Rachel, said someone would be there in the next 2-4 hours. I was pleased to hear that. I was even more please when she called only 1 hour later, saying the plumber was on his way to our house!! The plumber, Eric, was very pleasant and knew what he was doing. Very personable guy! He was done within an hour and the price was reasonable. It's not very often that the worker actually arrives an hour sooner than expected, especially on a weekend...we were very pleasantly surprised! We will definitely recommend them and will use ONLY this company in the future :)

Aaron, the owner came out, looked at our issue (catch basin) and told us what to expect. We knew there was a chance that it would be more than he said depending on what he found. We expected our driveway to be destroyed and for the bill to be crazy, like another company quoted. I do realize the weather cooperated but Aaron did a great job. The office kept in touch when he was behind (due to circumstances beyond his control) and his work was efficient and he cleaned up after. We really don't even need to fix the driveway at this point as he was able to put it together neatly and without danger. His price came in just under what he told us and we thought he was great. Office support also outstanding. I won't call anyone else, here on in.

Had them couple times over, but all of those was when my mother was at home instead of me, this time I was home and I saw the entire process, it was simply amazing of how fast the technician can do the job. I had a minor leak in the basement, thought it was the pipe, Andre #084 came in with an instant identification saying it's the gasket, and it was, he had a great attitude towards everything, it's like meeting a person who's always happy, and can solve pretty much anything. The entire process did not take longer than 45 minutes (mind you it's the gasket so he had to remove the toilet). Great work dude, nice meeting ya, this will definitely be a five star, call them if you need a friendly and cool company to come to your house.

We heard about Roto-Rooter from our neighbours, who having been using the service for years. When we called we were given a two-hour window of noon - 2 pm that day, and our plumber, Andrew, arrived at noon right on the dot. After we had explained the issue, he gave us the pricing options up front and didn't pressure us to go with the more expensive option. He did a thorough assessment of the issue, gave us immediate and long term solutions, and explained everything thoroughly and in a professional manner. He stopped his briefing numerous times to ask if we had any questions. Five stars for the competent work and excellent customer service. We will certainly be recommending Roto-Rooter to others.

My house used to be a rental home... Lord only knows what went down that drain! But the fix was quick and easy! Price was totally fine. I didn't feel taken advantage of at all...Even considering I had a small pool of sewage starting to flood my basement. Again Andrew 74 strikes! Nice guy and efficient. He was courteous and let me know they even offer a clean up crew! (my basement only had junk left in it, headed to the dump soon, but didn't really think of the 70's vinyl tile on 1/2 of the floor, covering and keeping all that grossness trapped under. Yuck! Aaron and his team are fantastic. I had an emergency situation over the weekend and from start to finish my experience was wonderful. I had a major leak in the garage of a home that I am caring for. I live almost 2 hours away from the location. Aaron called me on the weekend to reassure me that they could help me with this matter. I received an email Monday morning confirming my appointment and I drove immediately to Hamilton. Andrew the technician arrived on time and was professional, honest and so pleasant to deal with. I’d like to personally thank Roto Rooter and their tech Kristian. Kristian came in to Do an inspection of my back water valve as I was having a back up issues over some years. After doing an initial assessment and video scope, he came to the conclusion that the back water valve was initially installed incorrectly , building trap was not taken out as per code and connections were improperly fit. It took a 23-year-old tech and his assistant from Roto Rooter a few days to fix a problem that the city took 31 years to Never properly identify. attached is a picture of a problem caused by or failed to identify by a roto-rooter "technician", who took more that two hours to snake out the blockage but failed to fix the problem, and yet charged me for more than $450.00 for the non-emergency attendance and when I called back to complain about the ongoing leakage, the office staff did not want to accept a possible failure by their technician. Granted, this may not be norm, but this situation was overpriced and not fixed and roto-rooter refused to follow up unless I agreed to same payment terms again, $195 for 1st hour and $150 next hour. I got the 2-hour job done elsewhere for $150.00

I live in an older home with clay sewer pipes under the basement floor. Some issues with backups led me to look at a complete replacement. Andrew (#35) from Roto-Rooter was very knowledgeable and helpful and he took the time to explain my options and provide a detailed quote. Their pricing was very fair for such a big job. The crew worked really hard and completed the work on schedule and above my expectations. They were always cheerful and made sure I was prepared for all of the steps involved. It is a great relief to have it all taken care of by such a competent group. I would highly recommend their services!

Dave came out to see us today after a harrowing night of water flow and damage. He was on time, friendly and professional. He repaired our flange and installed our new toilet. In addition, he was able to tell us (in terms we could understand) what he felt the actual cause of where the water was coming from (roof flashing. Roofer is coming tomorrow). We can't say enough about how kind and efficient he was. I also want to thank Michelle who answered our calls and took excellent care of us. She was so understanding and proactive on our behalf. Roto-Rooter should be proud of their employees. They really are great!

Thanks to the Roto-Rooter team. Dave was informative, efficient and very reassuring. He suggested a cleanup team that was able to come and inspect within a few hours. Brock was able to clear the blockage so that I would have sewer service until I was able to get it fixed. The amazing team of Dave, Brock and "Hairdo" was here at the scheduled time and got right to work. They were respectful of my property and tried to minimize the effected area. The work took an extra day but they made certain all was perfect before leaving. Thank you Cindy, Dave, Brock and Nico for making this horrible event not so horrible.

A late night weekend call to our BNB where we had guests not only was embarrassing but clearly ill timed for everyone. I didn't know such service existed but it was the last resort, aside from trying to find hotel rooms for our guests which the city was sold out of. Not only was Dave (the technician) on time...he immediately relieved everyone's angst by offering a professional service within minutes and solving the issue, he's also a great guy and reflection on how a company is professional with customer service. A rarity in today's customer relations. Well done Roto Rooter...don't change a thing.

The service was absolutely fantastic! Andrew was extremely friendly he explained everything that was wrong and what he had to do. I have had other service people from other companies come in in the past where I did not trust them and felt they were trying to overcharge me. But with Andrew I did not get that impression at all he was honest and the price was extremely reasonable. The job was done fast and well, what more can you ask for. Aaron and his team have provided great service to us on a range of needs from bathroom renovation to a full sewage line replacement. This is the second time I've called Roto-Rooter and the level of service is excellent!! They gave me a time between 1pm and 3pm and Eric (#71) arrived promptly at 1pm!! He quickly ascertained my problem and got right to work! He didn't suggest any extra, unneeded or costly "extras" in fact he did a couple of minor extras at no charge. He fully explained everything he did and told me what to expect or what could go wrong in the future!! Over all a very satisfying experience and not too costly either!!! Highly recommended!!!

Had a clog.in my toilet from my daughter putting in too much paper. Knew the problem but didn't have time to investigate/fix it manually and snake was no good. My wife had Roto - Rooter come out to fix/investigate. 150$ charged and they did nothing except convince my wife it was "calcium build up" and we needed a new toilet; they didn't even scope it or pull off the bowl to check the trap. The following weekend I made time, turns out the toilet paper was jammed up in the trap of the toilet. Useless.

I called them at 6:30 in the morning with frozen pipes and they were very quick to send someone over. Before hand they called me and fully explained what they would be doing and how the pricing worked. When the tech arrived he was professional, respectful and cognizant of the fact I was being charged per hour. He did his work efficiently while answering all my questions. Afterwards he gave me some tips and advise on to how to prevent the problem in the future. I was very happy with their service.

Just had the Roto-Rooter team (Eric and Connor) at our place to fix a stubborn drainage issue we were having. Not only did they quickly resolve the issue, they put the extra effort in to make sure the issue does not re-appear again (extra rooting, multiple drainage tests etc). Eric & Connor then noticed a leak in another one of our pipes, and they replaced the pipe right away as part of the job. Great job - and thanks again for a very professional job.

I first called this business a few years ago and was very happy with the level of service I received so it was a pretty easy decision to call them again. As luck would have it Eric was the plumber again and just like last time he was polite friendly and knowledgeable making sure to explain what he was going to do to resolve the issue. I was very happy with the work done by the gentleman who attended the service call. The drain has been working very well since he worked on it. That being said, it was extremely awkward when he came into the house with no mask on. after debating what to do with my husband; we asked if he could please wear one. It was an extremely awkward conversation and I really felt he should have been wearing one from the moment he came up to the house.

It was actually my mother's house they worked on the gentleman's name was Amir . Can't say enough good things he was polite did everything my mom asked and didn't complain and I know they were busy that day it was a Sunday and they had to call me because they were running behind because of how busy he was . So would definitely recommend them thanks so much to Amir for treating my mother so nice and doing a great job .

Had a problem with our toilet that I could've fix. I called Roto-Rooter at 8am. I was told a service person would be there between 10 and noon, and that I would get a call to let me know when the service person would be there. Everything went according to what I was told. We have had on-going problems with the plumping in our store which is located in a very old building and get zero support from the landlord. When I call, I know they will get someone out asap. Excellent service. They came within an hour of calling to fix our sewage back-up and were in and out in under an hour. They fixed the sewage back-up and offered to call another service provider to get us a quote on clean up. They also fixed another issue we had with our laundry tub backing up and gave us some good advice on other preventative measures to take.

I've always trusted this company to help me out. I have two large maples and a 100 year home in Westdale. Enough said :) Main drain always needs clearing and although it's always $250+ they come to the house quickly and they're always professional. This time we met Dave the plumber, he was excellent and didn't stop until a few plumbing mysteries were solved!

The only plumbing that we trust and ever call for needs. The previous plumbing company we used screwed up our toilet and didn't clean the clogged drain properly. We called in as an emergency, and Roto Rooter showed up in half an hour. They didn't even charge us for the after-hour emergency fee. Took them only 20 minutes to get everything cleaned up.

My wife and I were very pleased with the service we received. The technician showed up early and was very good at communicating the issues with our home's plumbing and even made improvements to a toilet flange and replaced the toilet's shutoff valve. They are great service alternatives for the plumbing needs when your local plumber turns you down. They service a lot of areas around GTA and also around Brant and waterloo region. They are quick , cheap and great service for the cost. Mostly I have used them for drainage lines and they have done an excellent job.

Called a plumber , couldn't fix the drainage problem. Then called roto-rooter and they came within 2 hours and fixed the problem. Always call roto-rooter they know what they are doing and if your lucky enough Kristian is awesome and knows his stuff and gets the job done!

Called roto rooter and within 45 mins Dave came. Dave was nice and professional and was done the job within 30mins.The price was very good considering we thought it would cost us an arm and a leg. I would definitely recommend this company for future plumbing problems
