I recently moved into a new apartment here in the brantford area and we’ve had some issues with the plumbing even after it was all renovated. First issue the original contractors didn’t install the wax seal correctly so there was water pouring out from the bottom of the toilet. The building called steve down and he had the issue fixed in about 30 minutes… ripped it right out and had it back up and running. He’s a down to earth, hard working guy who knows how ti get the job done right. We had a 2nd issue a couple weeks later and the pipes had clogged up and it was backing up in the tub, the building called a different plumber. I wasn’t nearly as happy with this plumber as they were late to the call, and only did a temporary fix…. I recommended a more heavy duty snake and was told what he had would work. The issue persisted a week later and I had requested the building to bring back that Scottish plumber back since I respected his work and his personality and punctuality so much (these were weekend emergency calls and he was there within the hour) and I knew he would get it done. Steve arrived again with his hilarious, hardworking attitude and got my issue fixed properly once again in no time. He took one look at the issue brought the heavy duty snake and did it properly. Steve is the man, coming from a trades background myself (hvac)…. Good, honest, hard working people are hard to come by now a days, and let me say Steve is one of them. During the long Canada Day weekend we had a mysterious dripping begin to appear in the ceiling in our living room; one which began to increase in frequency and travel down the ceiling. We were very worried about the cause of the leak, the resulting damages, and the intrusive work needed to find the source of the leak. We called in Rescue Rooter as soon as possible. The plumber they sent, Steve, was able to diagnose the source and cause of the leak within minutes. He was able to discover and fix the issue with a minimal intrusion to the drywall. He worked quickly and cleanly, repairing the issue within an hour: it had been a pinhole leak in a pipe leading to the bathtub. The quality of the repair has been exceptional. Steve was courteous, knowledgeable, and quite personable! He was a very positive person and was a joy to work with. The issue was fixed before the entire ceiling could have been ruined by the leak. We are grateful to Rescue Rooter for sending someone at such short notice who was able to repair the issue so thoroughly. We would definitely call them again.

It’s been two years and two days since Steve solved our kitchen sink dilemma. The waste disposal was clogged with years of misuse and lack of maintenance by previous owners. Now, nothing could be done to drain the swamp. A phone call was made, and Steve arrived in very short order. The time was short. Not Steve. Steve is a sizeable guy. “How”, I asked myself, “is he going to get under the sink?” Steve has obviously seen this situation before. In mere minutes, he had surgically removed the tangle of tubes, and replace it with a glossy black system that rapidly removed the water right out of the sink and took it to a place far away. Amazing. Sadly, those precious pipes were removed yesterday. The faucet had failed, again, and the sink just wasn’t keeping that shine anymore. They had to be replaced. But the new sink didn’t align with Steve’s fine fittings. New pipes were plumbed. Oh, well. It’s all water under the bridge now. Thanks, Steve. Thanks Rescue Rooter.

First of all the gentleman that came here was exactly that, a gentleman. When he originally came to do the quote he gave me an honest quote at very reasonable price. Very refreshing because not two weeks before that I had another company come in to do some work and was ripped off severely. When he came to do the job he was on time, and in a great mood. He completed the job in an extremely timely fashion, he was informative on the work that he was doing. When he was finished he cleaned up after himself, left no garbage and even vacuumed. He installed the shower unit that I supplied but he still took the garbage with him even though he didn't bring it. In the end he was true to his word, my quote was my bill, no hidden fees! The shower unit looks amazing! I would never hesitate to use this company and especially not hesitate using this employee again I hope for their sake they cloned him!

We called 3 places and although we spoke to someone, nobody was available that evening EXCEPT RESCUE ROOTER came to the RESCUE! I had a leak coming from my secondary water valve that controls the outside water and it happened on the day when I was due for sprinkler guys to come over and activate my sprinkler system and I was getting worried and i had a massive leak all over my basement carpet and due to covid 19 I was unable to go to the stores right away to shop on parts and equipment. So I called rescue rooter and they sent Steve the technician over to my house. Steve arrived in a short time and he was very friendly and professional and plus he educated me about repairing and replacing both of my secondary water valves to control the outside water. I called Rescue Rooter because l was having an issue with my toilet backing up. The plumber they sent arrived on time and introduced himself as Wade. He was very respectful and immediately removed his work boots upon entering my home. He was very patient and responded to all my questions and concerns and explained that it could be tree roots that were causing the problem. He very carefully and in a professional manner proceeded to remove my toilet and snake my sewer. After finishing, he carefully replaced my toilet and thoroughly cleaned up after himself. My toilet has never worked better. I highly recommend this company and would like to personally thank Wade for his courteous behavior and professional work.

On a Sunday afternoon I found myself with two fully blocked kitchen sinks.... panicking I phoned this company and had a wonderful experience. Called 5.45 pm and explained my basement was flooded. Water was pouring in from the drain. Was told the technician was on a job and would be there as soon as he was finished and that he would call. Waited all night but he never came. We spent 5 hours with a shop vac carrying water upstairs to put outside. Called again at 8 in the morning and they gave me 3 different times, with 3 different phone calls. When the technician came he was excellent and he sorted the problem out. He told us he never got the call or he would have come out immediately as he was not busy that evening. If we had known no-one was coming we would have called someone else instead of 2 seniors carrying heavy water for 5 hours.

Amazing! Hubby and I literally planned out a weekend to “fix” and try to clean the two sinks that were causing us trouble. BUT I took a chance and thought I’d try contacting another plumber - the first one told us we weren’t worth the effort (ouch). Holy S, we were we impressed. I’m going to give a shout out to Scott because although Steve is a fan favorite, Scott is absolutely awesome. I have never written a review, however, I felt personally compelled to write one on behalf of one of your technicians, named Wade. It is very rare these days to find someone, who is willing to take the time to explain the process, and answer all of the questions we had. Wade came by to fix our sink, and made it look effortless. He was diligent and efficient, in unclogging our sink. He was also very knowledgable, and provided us with various options, for one of our other plumbing inquiries. The gentleman who came in today to investigate and repair my toilet leak was truly exceptional. He came in early, with all equipment ready, wearing a mask according to COVID recommendations. He took the time to explain the problem and was able to problem solve expertly when my toilet apparently had a retro-fit which made the repair a little less straight forward. He made recommendations and explained why he was replacing parts that were soon to fault. He cleaned up completely and tested his work to insure all was well. I had a bad kitchen sink clog which wouldn’t clear after trying traditional methods. I called Rescue Rooter around 5:30pm and they picked up my call right away. A plumber called me back within minutes and knew exactly what the issue was. Steve showed up the next day before the scheduled time and just his positive attitude made my day. He quickly inspected the issue and got to work on the resolution by installing a cleanout fitting and snaking the main stack. Truly appreciate the quick response, and professionalism of this company. I was doing some last minute cleaning for a home inspection to take place the next day when I discovered some dampness under my kitchen sink. Even tho my condo was only 3 years old a small crack happened in my pvc tubing. I simply called Rescuerooters and thankfully reception told me a plumber would come shortly with estimate and ability to repair on the spot. Wade was incredibly professional, showed up shortly after I called and got the job done very well and quite fast. Have had the same problem since I purchased my house 5 years ago, every 6 or 7 months the drain backs up, I call a plumber to clear it up, pay them and theyre gone. Rescue Rooter is my go to plumbing company! We have used their service 3 times over the years. Recently they installed a new toilet in our basement. We had provided the new toilet which turns out was defective. They were extremely responsive to reinstall once I dealt with getting a replacement. On another call, they addressed a sump pump issue that wasn't turning off. As I was going on vacation, they came quickly and turns out it was a simple fix. Different plumbers on all 3 calls and all very competent and pleasant. Office staff were also very pleasant and responsive when I've called them.

After calling three other plumbers and having no-shows/not having our call returned etc. we were starting to worry we would never be able to get a plumber to show up. Our first call will now be to Rescue Rooter moving forward. Extremely grateful for Rescue Rooter's professionalism, timeliness, and the overall quality of their work. The entire experience, from the initial phone call to the final payment, was absolutely perfect. The call about our blocked drain was received politely and a technician was dispatched to our house within the estimated time, which was rather quickly. Steve and Wade came out a did a fair bit of work for us including drain cleaning, excavating part of the basement floor, and replacing some original cast iron pipe that was rotted through. Steve is a great plumber with a super humour. He discovered the source of my leak in a few minutes: the water pipeline that ran through all the old baseboard heat units in my 65 yr old house from a furnace that had not been in use since 2013. The installer of my hot air furnace 9 yrs ago had not shut off the water source nor drained the water. What came out was rusted fluid running down the walls. I recommend RESCUE ROOTER 100% for anyone's plumbing needs.

I called Rescue Rooter this morning after a surprise rusty pipe and leak in our kitchen and I couldn't be more impressed with the speed and professionalism of the fix. Sean arrived even more quickly than I expected and laid out our options really clearly - he helped avoid future issues for us with his advice and the fix was super quick. We should have posted this review a while back, but since Steve and the Rescue Rooter team fixed a pipe for us today, I was reminded to share our positive experience with them last year. We had a low water flow issue from a bathroom faucet. Steve was able to track the problem to an old corroded pipe in a wall. He repaired it efficiently and relatively inexpensively. I had Steve of Rescue Rooter in today to do a variety of plumbing jobs. He not only did a great job of fixing everything I needed done, but did it all in good time and was friendly and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure having such a good professional in my home and also my father’s where I needed some work done. Scam. Had them snake my main drain. Big old Scottish guy said he could only get 1" auger bit through my 4" pipe, because the pipe was broken and needs to get dug up and replaced asap. A few months later, Phil Groves got a 4" bit to go through no problem. The put a camera through and showed me that it is in great shape! So either they don't know how to use their gear properly, or their just scammers.

Rescue Rooter will be the only plumber I call going forward. We had a flood in our bathroom overnight and woke up to a broken pipe. Rescue Rooter is the only company that answered the phone on Sunday morning and called back with a promise to send someone within a few hours. Wouldn't recommend. Had a leak coming out of our drain pipe. Plumber showed up, charged us $300 to snake it. Did not fix the leak. He said it looks like its a bigger problem thatll run us close to $1500 to dig up the concrete to put a new pipe in... Called a friend in for a second opinion and turns out the pipe just wasnt glue to the other one. Fixed in 20 mins.

Called on a Sunday with a backed up main drain and Mikey was here within 2 hours to get our main drain unclogged; one of the biggest nightmares for any home owner! Fast, professional and a better price than I've had before for the same service a number of years ago. And that's on a Sunday no less. Definitely keeping these guys in my address book.
