I usually catch the 77 bus. If there was a contest for the least accurate bus on the roads, this one would be in the top ten for sure. The bus is a short loop from Bloor to Queen, but operators get a break at both ends of this trip apparently. The bus barely winds through tight neighborhood streets, and if using a transit app, often never shows at all, and you need to wait for the "next" one. Also hold onto that transit pass, you will need it when transferring from bus to subway or the opporite even though they are at the same station . Love the area, hate this bus.
This is one of the most frequently used station that I go to a lot. Cause it one of the stations that just only have one Bus Division which is TTC Mount Dennis Division not to mix in with other Bus Division. Service on 71 Runnymede, 77 Swansea, and 79 Scarlett Rd routes in this station are pretty well superb and most frequent. Also there are a lot of Great Shops, Restaurants/Coffee Shops, and a Near By No Frills with a great radius of the Station.
Runnymede is a subway station at Bloor street. I love the area for many reasons. There is a No Frills, a Popeye's chicken, Hot Oven bakery, Starbucks, flower shops and so many other places to shop along Bloor. On a nice sunny day we go for a nice long walk in the area and shop as we walk along. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AREA.
The bus drivers on route 77- south are very accommodating and courteous to passengers. I would recommend TTC management deploy more buses on this route as the wait times can take up to 40 minutes. Unfortunately, the schedule is not always accurate. Thank you for the consideration.
There only one Presto machine at street level and one at the payment entry area. There’s usually line ups at busy times of the month when people are adding monthly passes. This is a dated station -looks dirty and dark. They could use all that space to add public art.
Enought for a subway station . I miss a bigger corporate wifi coverage and the possibility to purchase the TTC bi weekly card. Apart from that , there are loads of shops and restaurants in the surrondings.
my friend lives close to this station and this is one of those stations u need a transfer so make sure u got one when your coming back, theres also a macdonald near by and some downtown places to eat
When entering or exiting this station it’s gonna take a detour because they’re installing elevators on both platforms and the bus terminal is closed too.
The service there is terrible. Worst then the McDonald’s upstairs. Some needs to tell the guy that works at 2:40. Needs to quit his job.
remember to grab a transfer as the buses are outside and overall clean, atleast for a subway station. lots of school time traffic.
The food was AMAZING!!! Waitress gave me a big kiss since the food took a few minutes!! WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!!
Runnymede Station is never really busy, and if u live near the Junction this subway station is very convenient.
The dim lighting, uncomfortable colour scheme, and somewhat eery murals make it a pretty unpleasant experience.
I like the neighbourhood, except the station always seems to have a different problem every time I visit it.
It's a subway station. It does thst. Not much more to expect
Bought my presto card here. Good customer service
Last star after the installation of elevators
Truly an unrivaled experience in Toronto.
