At approximately 7:30PM today I decided to visit this location to see if they carried the Slip Silk brand. I was particularly interested in purchasing the silk scrunchies, however, the brands better known products are the sleep eye mask and pillowcase. I’m not sure if Saks Fifth carries the scrunchies as the site only showed the other two items, but it was just a hop and a skip from my office across the street, so I decided to pop in after work. On the main floor in the middle area I walked up to one of the sales representatives and asked if she knew where the Slip Silk products are located? She said she didn’t know what that is and proceeded to say, “maybe they have that at the Saks Off Fifth across the street”. I then let her know very firmly that it is carried at Saks Fifth and she was still saying she didn’t know, so I walked to the next desk in the middle to ask another sales representative if she knew where the Slip Sil products are located. She then asked me what they carried and I said an eye mask and a pillow case and as I was going to say scrunchies she said they didn’t carry home items at their location, and I tried to ask her to search the computer and she repeated her self. At that point I ended up leaving out of frustration. I would have expected one out of these two middle aged Caucasian sales representatives to have the sense and enough customer service experience to check the computer data base to see if one of the other locations carries this brand. I am a biracial female looking to purchase this item as it is the best hair accessory for my particular type of hair. Saks Fifth being one of the highest end department stores in our city is expected to have quality customer service, and quality sales representatives. I find it extremely disrespectful that I was directed to an outlet and interrupted by another sale representative. I have visited the downtown location on multiple occasions and never experienced mistreatment. I will not be visiting the Sherway Gardens location in the future!
@saks such a shame that you have such an employee! I would like to submit a formal complaint towards your employee Victoria at Decorte counter Sherway Garden regarding three bizarre things she did. On Black Friday, I asked the Sherway Garden Saks staff Victoria who work at the Decorte counter to order some La mer products. As there was an event going on, I was given two gift cards. When I went to downtown Saks to go shopping yesterday, one of the gift cards was actually empty. The staff who helped me confirmed that it was an empty card. I immediately contacted Victoria. However, She refused to answer my phone call first. No biggie. I thought she was busy. I then sent her a message to ask for help. Little did I know, she actually has the audacity to refuse to help me simply because I’m making my purchase with a different sales assistant. The entire conversation is shown in the picture. Not only did she refuse to help me because she’s not getting a commission, her attitudes were so extremely poor. She said she has 500 things to do before she could help me and the date she would help me is a week later. What?!! All chat messages were shown in the pictures. This is the first misbehavior by her. Second, last time I asked her to order a LV bag ,she told me that i need to buy other stuff like an scarf to boost the possibility of getting a bag. That is called linked sale which is prohibited by the law here. I asked another sales assistant immediately and was able to get the bag without linked sale. This is the second complaint towards her. Third, she posted a picture on her social media accusing me being the bad person. She listed six things that resulted in her behavior towards me. All of them are completely false and I have the evidence. I have also attached the picture. Now I do not care nor do I have the authority as for how Saks will deal with this employee. However, that’s your job!
Nobody ever answers the phone in the shoe department to the point where I always have to go through customer service to get through. Also, there are VERY FEW staff members at this location. Last time I was at this location I had to wait for the ONLY associate to finish up with his customer before I was finally able to get the shoes that I had on hold. Turned out they weren't the right size, that's fine. He was able to find the same shoe in my size. Oh, but when I say shoe, I mean shoe. Singular. The shoe fit great so I asked for the other. The associate and another employee looked in the area for the matching shoe and could not find it. When I asked where this shoe could be they told me it was "probably somewhere in the back because an employee probably forgot it back there" but refused to check the back. Instead they asked me to write down my number and promised somebody would call me when they found the matching shoe. It's been 3 days and no call. Definitely won't be returning to this location, especially because this wasn't my first negative experience at this location. The same sales associate I dealt with this time refused to let me try any shoes on the last time I was there. Seems like a snobby problem considering the time I wasn't allowed to try shoes on I wasn't dressed very well since I just got off of work and was wearing my old Coach purse. I came in on my day off this time wearing better clothing and my Louis Vuitton and magically I'm escorted to a couch and given shoes instead of escorted out of the area and told if I bought the shoes I wanted I could return them after wearing them if they're not ruined as if he was assuming I couldn't afford them. Not impressed at all. I guess I'll just keep ordering from the website instead.
Today I went to Saks with the intention on purchasing a byredo fragrance. I went to the counter and it took a while, but someone came to help me. I asked to smell, gypsy water by Byredo. The associate found the tester but it was completely empty. She tried to spray some of it on a card and there was nothing left. She called over another associate, she told me just to buy the fragrance over and over. I said I need to smell it and have it on my skin to see how it reacted etc. she didn’t really care about that. I asked if I could return if I didn’t like it, she said no, not if opened. So I need to but a 300.00 fragrance without smelling it ? She said yes, sorry and proceeded to walk away. As I was trying to shop the store she went and talked about me the other third associate who then approached me to ask if I needed help. Then I also asked the other associate her name, same response and walked away and would not speak to me. She said I am making her uncomfortable and wouldn’t provide her name at all. I am so disappointed with this service I was given today. I am shocked by it, I was just a customer trying to purchase. It was made impossible. Saks has been my go to place but at this point I will just try and find a different place. I don’t think this is a great representation for the Byredo fragrance Very disappointing.
Don't buy ANYTHING here they totally scam you. I bought a $1,300 dress that had a 30 day return period for an October wedding. I brought it in on day 20 with the tags on, original receipt, and unworn. The dress ended up having a faulty stitch line so they decided hey wouldn't return the dress! They then accused me of having a tailor alter it that way (why would any one do that) and when they saw we didn't because it matched the other dresses on the floor they said I must've worn it (are you kidding me?!). The "development manager" Nicole (probably the rudest and most inept person I've ever encountered) said she couldn't take it back because she couldn't resell it - no kidding you can't resell it, it's defective! She refused to take accountability and wouldn't take the return. Any normal person or store would take accountability for a defective garment. Honestly, just don't shop here there are plenty of boutiques downtown that sell the same things for the same price and will actually provide you good customer service.
I like the store vibe. The location is small and convenient. However, the customer service is a hit or miss unfortunately. Sometimes there would be no one around to help and the entire floor would be empty. Also, I had unpleasant experience with online return - they didn’t complete the transaction and I couldn’t get my money back for a long time until I realized there was something wrong done by them. Only after calling Saks multiple times, coming to the store and talking to countless reps and convincing them to actually look into the issue they found out that the person accepting return forgot to hit some button on the computer to actually complete the return. Everyone was telling the same thing to me - it takes time to get refund etc. But due to the specific of my job I can easily determine if there is something wrong. Beware when returning
I love this saks, I come here quite often mostly for fragrance and skin care but I do purchase a bit of everything like apparel, shoes, leather goods etc. As soon as I walk into saks I'm always greeted by every person working on that floor. I cannot believe how friendly everyone is here because I was expecting the "Holt Renfrew" attitude. Their return policy is amazing, they've never given me a hard time to return or exchange something. They have the best customer service I've ever seen. Elaine in fragrance is who I always go to when I'm looking for a new scent to add to my collection but she's also helped me with skin care, makeup, shoes and all the other departments. All the ladies at fragrance are amazing and so helpful too. Every single person Ive dealt with at Saks has been beyond helpful and has treated me like royalty!
The store does not deserve any rating. The Manager, Clowie can't seem to make a decision on the return of an item. This is my second time in this store, and I will never return. Very unprofessional staff. This is one store, I would never recommend to any of my friends or clients. I feel so humiliated, having purchased two items, from this store previously, and looking to exchange one item, and the Manager would not allow me to do the return because I didn't have the receipt., yet she found the transaction on the computer but would not accommodate me. Somebody will be happy for a Christmas gift, but will never return to a store where a manager cannot make a decision. The President of the company should hire staff who have the latitude to make construction decision.
If you like to dress casual while shopping then don't bother going here cus the sales people will treat you with utter contempt. As if you owe them gratitude for allowing you to step into this sacred place. You have to make sure they can tell you are worthy (rich enough) to be in the store to get any service. Sales people are real snobs (you work for Saks you don't own it). Judging customers based on a quick glance of their age, race and what they are wearing is a sure way to fail at retail. Never encountered this kind of profiling at high end stores such as Chanel, Cartier, and Hermes because any professional sales person knows wealth comes in different colours and ages. Many customers who are well off do not dress up like a walking billboard to go shopping.
Came here for an in-store exchange while passing by and had the most amazing experience. They were incredibly busy and I was left unattended for at least 10 minutes until someone who looked like the manager came up to me and made sure that someone took care of my return asap. To add, he worked with the employee (checking the system, processing my refund, etc.) to make sure everything was going well and that my time would be valued. Mind you he kept eyeing around to see if anyone else needed his assistance. Amazing. Probably not the best idea to do an in-store exchange come next time just due to how busy they are (the very reason why I shop online), but this man's service was top-notch and thus, necessitated a review :-) Thank you!
The store is operating and presenting as if it is on life support. Social Media feeds are no lknger maintained or current. The brand is so much better than this and I do hope that Saks in Canada can find its way soon. I'm always underwhelmed when Sales Associates spend more time on their phones scrolling to avoid any customer engagement. Sales Associates are critical drive results and create guest experiences. Displays and merchandising at Saks Sherway have taken the minimalist vibe to a whole new level. This location has all the potential in the world. Leverage your space, leverage your brands, create excitement with visual merchandising and this store can be a vibrant and successful location.
Why does such a high end place has such poor and inconsistent customer service? Some sales people are lovely there and very nice to deal with. Others not so much...every time I go I don’t know what service I will receive. Last time I went there to do a return there was an issue with it ( a system glitch that was saks fault). After 5-10 minutes I was pretty much told that they have no time to deal with this they have other customers and I should go home and try to call Saks and figure it out myself. News flash!!! Just because I am Not buying something (which I did buy something) doesn’t mean I am Not your customer that you have to help out! Terrible and almost laughable.
We went to the upper level to check perfumes and everything was fine, then decided t explore the lower level for food it was empty when trying to to go up again to leave the store we find out they locked the escalator? We had to search for employee to help only one person who said we r close now but still people were getting inside. We had to go out of the store to sport check to to the mall again? No o e announced that the store will be closed soon, so People can leave or accommodate who were on the food sections to go up to leave. Such a wired policy to lock the doors while customers are stillness inside.
Nona in perfumes was very helpful and friendly. Everyone else that was working on Sunday 145pm in the perfumes area was either too busy chatting with each other or on their cell phones a male and female, and couldn’t even bother, that there was a customer waiting to pay! Not even a hello from any off them, except Nona. Rita in ladies wear is amazing at finding the moncler jacket for my mom! She truly is went above and beyond. The reason I did not give 5 stars was, the unfriendly and unapproachable attitude of the perfume employees.
Amazing luxurious collection of clothings. Just name the brand and they have it. As I say, it's original Sask 5th store, so does not offer low in price options of clothing, shoes, bags etc. but best in quality and collection for all exclusive brands including Gucci, Prada, Canada Goose, Louis Vuitton, Burberry and 100 more. They have sale too for many brands and worth to check if you care about style, fashion, and quality. Anyway, we all got one life, and it's worth to try one luxurious brand once in a lifetime!
his is a very nice three story Saks. It's a decent size, and has good stock. Saks is usually too rich for my blood but I lucked into their semi annual clearance sale and frolicked through the sales racks for over an hour. Had an excellent sales attendant, she was very helpful in finding sizes and making suggestions. She was very patient as I ended up with over 20 things to try. Got two amazing designer pieces for 75% off. Now if only I had somewhere fancy to wear them to...
This Saks Fifth Avenue is pretty much a self serve luxury department store. The staff here are not too helpful. They are not too educated about the products they sell, styles, and the store policies. This doesn't instill confidence in the customer when they are buying luxury goods. The layout of the store is nice and the store is pretty easy to navigate, but other than that this location doesn't have anything else going for it.
I needed a bit of a wardrobe overhaul and I went to Sax where I was assisted by a sales associate named Nora. She was awesome, brought me so many items that I wouldn't normally choose for myself but actually looked amazing on me. I also got great feedback from the other sales associates that were around while I was trying on. I ended up spending more than I wanted to but I got almost everything on sale.
Waited over 45 minutes for 24 oysters. If this is what to be expected then I'm not coming back. The bartender was great and honest and we really liked him but, it seems like the kitchen is just screwing around and looks like nothing is getting out. What's the point of having a kitchen if you guys cant keep up with the basics? Terrible, terrible customer service except for the bartender who was amazing.
Elaine is the best rep I have ever had. She knows her stuff, which is all one can ask for when it comes to collecting Niche Perfumes. She is kind, generous, and very knowledgeable and does not care if it's closing time. Saks, please try to match prices with noseparis. I know it's tough, but I love giving people like Elaine my business, but the price difference is too steep.
I usually shop for the perfumes here, ELAINE is our go to perfume connoisseur. She is an absolute pleasure to deal with, we have always had a great experience buying from her. She does get busy so the best piece of advice I can give is to book your visit in advance. Elaine's knowledge, experience and service is second to none. Thanks for always making us feel welcomed.
Super disappointed! I came here to look for a purse for my mom’s birthday, the selection was lacking! How is there no Louis Vuitton, Burberry or Gucci? I remember the Holt Renfrew that was located at Sherway Gardens prior to the renovation had an amazing selection of bags and wallets. Also, the hours don’t make sense. How is this store still opened?
Walked through this store, was at the byredo perfumes section and the blonde woman just stood there and stared at me. Not a hello or can I help you?! I used to shop in the USA saks and the customer service here in Canada is non existent! I later went to Nordstrom’s and received amazing service and at least was acknowledged.
I came to the mall for a Tory Burch bag and passed by Saks 5th, and surprisingly found it here on sale! Gigi near the bags department helped me and she was so nice throughout the purchase. I also work customer service so I appreciate her congeniality of going beyond to make sure me, as a customer, felt welcomed.
be careful to consider tags as not always true designer Mackage and Theory actually made in China. Also can’t shop in peace as employees will be sure to watch you like a hawk in the clothing department like ruin the visit more than you already have with your energy store is cold and sad dept stores are dying
This is a store obviously in the final stages of it's demise. (Continuous op clause in lease?) Greatly reduced sales floor and what's left is skimpily merchandised and void of staff. And only opens at noon and closes at 6pm! Depressing place to visit and not worthy to be carrying the Saks name.
Was here today- Sherway location 2 team members just shopping for themselves Neither of them said hello, can I help you etc. terrible customer service Regional sales manager needs to retrain the 2 sales associates Both went into the back, as I was walking around the shoe area.
We we're in the fragrance department and this lovely specialist named Janet S. helped us. She was excellent and knowledgeable. She had so many suggestions for us that I will be returning when I make my decision later this week. Thank you for a great experience!
Love that this location has valet, but the selection is not as good as the downtown location :( The store is nicely laid out, and the Pusateri's downstairs is convenient. They are alway sold out of the Torres Truffle Chips though, which is a disappointment.
Came in to buy cosmetic products. Parking in their parking garage is a breeze and was easy to find. The staff are very friendly and although they were not servicing me they said hello and asked if I needed any help. I will definitely be shopping here again!
Limited choices practically none, in casual clothing for women. No one around to help either. One salesperson kept looking at clothes rack as if avoiding! At least that's the impression we got. In my view expensive compared to other department stores.
I like the fact that Saks is tied to a grocery store in the basement level bit the store itself carries a lot of respectable clothing brands. I do appreciate that there's a respective sized section for men as well. Store is modern and well laid out.
My husband and I went to Saks Fifth Avenue at Sherway Mall to buy my wedding dress and the lady at the party dresses section, Natalia was SO helpful. Because we bought the dress on Black Friday week we ended up getting a $75 gift card which
Have bought at both locations. Loved the staff and the experience. Over the holidays, hubby and I bought each other perfume for Christmas, and we were given a promotional gift card. Jan 02/22, we came to this location to use the gift card.
I sent a msg to Matt Blundon on Instgram for a shoe I was intrested in and I asked if they were final sale just like any regular customer that would like to know they won't be wasting their money by buying something and not able to return
A maze to get to the men's department. When I finally got there, it was very difficult to find someone to help me. Finally found someone to help me after my wife and I were looking for 5 minutes. They ended up not having the size for the
I had a very uncomfortable experience shopping at this location. To Provide some insight to how I expected my day to go I'll share a story with you. My girlfriend and I ( who are from Bridle Path / Richmond Hill area ) decided to visit
I am actually blown away by how ridiculous the men's footwear selection is. You have only 2 pairs of beach footwear that aren't store brand and the ones you do have you only have up to size 9 To add to that, there was literally no
The product displays were elegant and the store environment didn't feel too intimidating for a high end department store. An SA approached me immediately as I picked up a Canada Goose jacket, and she was incredibly helpful and patient!
I needed to return some items that I had bought online. I found the employees extremely helpful and friendly. My transaction was completed in less than 10 minutes. No questions asked, just a friendly friction free return.
Me & my boyfriend went in to buy a Killian perfume for me & him We usually shop at saks & never are we bombarded we like to have a little space to smell out the perfumes & then have a sales rep come help us
The hours of this location are ridiculous. How can the mall be open 10-9 and Saks is only open from 12-6? Do people not work that shop here. I came right after work to find it closed. Very disappointed.
I went in for the advertised 70% clearance sale...saw a pair of shoes I liked...with the discount still a whopping $539.00! Beautiful store, great scents and fashions but for the elite crowd only!
Very disappointing, a lady with red hair at the clothing section was super rude to us while the rest of the staff were happily helping other customers. She was walking around and complaining.
Closes way too early at 6 pm Will lock you in basement 15 mins before close Do not park outside this store if visiting Sherway late in day unless you like to walk Pusateris is great
Purchased a Canada Goose parka with stellar customer service from Carl! I would highly recommend this store and particularly Carl, very knowledgeable and helpful no pressure sale!
Go away!!! Sales people will not stop harassing you. Who is the management team that makes the staff to do this? This is why you are going bankrupt
Professional and knowledgeable staff. Patricia in the gown department was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and was able to assist
Great quality and service. The sales are great for elegant dresses. I found a simple long off-white dress as my wedding dress.
Overpriced (compare to US stores). Poor choice of products. Looks like this store would be permanently closed soon...
The perfume staff here are extremely knowledgeable and the selection is top notch. They can even make you a sample.
Elaine helped me with my perfume purchase! She was wonderful! I will be going to her for all my perfumes!
What happened to Saks?? It is empty. They have nothing in store- just get told to order online. Sad.
it is a hit and miss when shopping here. I think all the good stuff goes to the Vaughn store first.
Best collection and harmeet gives best customer service will help u with everything, great place
This is a hidden gem for shopaholics. I recommend this place to any shopping connissouser.
Sarah at the La Mer counter was very helpful and informative on Saks perfume products.
These types of stores will find it tough to survive in the Canadian marketplace.
Love this designer department chain Everything under one roof
Good place for shopping Lots of big brand under one roof.
