Definitely apologize to new owners. They have this store running great. Excellent selections and they have expanded the hours. I have relied on this store for 25 years and it is even more important to people in the neighborhood with the virus issues. Great job!! I think I posted that review too hastily. After some early difficulties the new owners now seem to have things running smoothly good store Used to be a great store. But seems to be under new ownership, and it is going downhill rapidly. Not open on time; not properly re-stocking. Not sure it will last. Previous owners worked very hard -- new owners not so much.
I've been shopping there for over 10 years. Too bad for "battery boy." I believe the hundreds of pleasant, respectful interactions I've had far outweigh one sale of dead batteries (something they have little control over). The service is terrific. The employees work hard, are very friendly and know you by name. Mr. and Mrs. Kim are genuinely caring, considerate owners. EVERY employee they've had is pleasant, friendly and knows where everything is. It's worth a few extra cents to have such an important, accessible downtown store. Open 14 hours a day, six days a week!
Poor customer service, especially from the owner. Everything is overpriced. Don't even try to help out this local store unless you absolutely have to. Needed to buy batteries for keyboard to do work. Batteries they sold won't work, probably b/c they've expired. Won't allow refund or exchange and I shop here as a regular customer. Never going to shop here again. Not worth it! The poorest customer service I've encountered and the owner even started an argument by making me at fault. May the store shut down one of these days and find better ownership.
Very handy as I'm staying at Fort Garry place and there is a kitchen with my suite.Prices are pretty high but you pay for the convenience. There is fresh fruits and vegetables, limited selection but the basics are there and in good condition .frozen and canned foods such as meats & vegetables. The usual fare of pop, milk candy's ect... Very friendly and helpfull staff.
The location is convenient if you live nearby but that's the only pleasant thing. All products are significantly overpriced. 2L water cost me $4 which could have been bought for $1 at Superstore. Customer service is tolerable at best and the staff is unfriendly.
Sam’s is a clean and well run convenience store. You pay a LITTLE more for certain things because it is a small, family run place but it’s well maintained and has quite a lot of selection for its size. A+
Super convenient, good service, comparable to other convenience store prices (which is still higher than regular grocery stores, but thats to be expected). Very clean and well run.
Great convenience store, lots of products for any quick meal or emergency. Opened almost every day of the year, great hours. The employees are always friendly.
I luv this store! Been a patron since 1989 and been enjoying their sandwiches just as long. Great staff and super clean.
Clean and well run but the owner isn’t always helpful. Decent variety good local business
