"I usually enjoy Second cup brewed coffee batches"
"The physical space is nice BUT they don't seem to care at all about how long their customers wait"
"I tried to order a frappe and got ignored and got a latte instead? even though i was asked to repeat my order to clarify what i want and i corrected them initially saying oh thats not what i wanted to order, i was ignored and they decided what drink i should get instead, not a great experience, a waste of time, money, and energy"
"Incompetent staff"
"I am not a big fan of chain, and especially not Second Cup"
I usually enjoy Second cup brewed coffee batches. But I wanted to try a new taste and ordered Candy Cone White Hot Chocolate ( as we are getting closer to Christmas), it was a waste of money and taste...it was so sweet and minty, warm not hot. Just leaving this review for others to let them know as I threw it away after the first sip.
The physical space is nice BUT they don't seem to care at all about how long their customers wait. I was standing in line for like 5-10 minutes and it barely moved. When it finally my turn the guy took off to ask someone a question and never even acknowledged me or the people behind me. The worst customer service I've seen I think

Incompetent staff. I went in at 4 pm today and had a face covering over my mouth and nose the lady insisted it has to be a blue medical mask like it makes any additional protections how not very fast of her. I’ll make sure to take my business to Starbucks across the street rather than come back here.
I am not a big fan of chain, and especially not Second Cup. But for those who feel otherwise, you should like it here. Many comfy chairs available. Well maintained overall--well, brand new in fact. The neighborhood doesn't have many spots if this kind to offer. Food, coffee, tea, beverages available.
I’ll probably not come back again considering there’s so many other options in the area. Waited in line and the cashier kept talking to a customer for the longest time after they ordered. The customer in front of me even left because it was taking so long. The guy making the drinks was great though.
Pretty awful location - I’m not surprised that Second Cup is not doing well as a company. They’re constantly out of basic ingredients like whipped cream. They don’t place mobile orders out at the designated area, which defeats the purpose of ordering ahead for a quick pick up. Wifi barely works too.
First time I came I ordered a small but they charged me for a medium. Second time, which was 20 minutes ago, I ordered a small matcha latte with No sugar. The only thing they got right is the size. Not even my drink. They gave me a spiced matcha latte with full sugar. Never coming back again.
I love the staff behind the counter. They know exactly what I want. I was treated much better at this location. I got my two americanos with almond milk, a lemon cranberry scone, a green tea, and a coffee with three cream, no sugar. Customer service was on point. I'll keep coming back. More
I'm in the middle of my PhD dissertation and, as you can imagine, it's very stressful. So whenever I feel my min going out the window, I head to Second Cup Café. The staff is great and the coffee, along with the ginger molasses cookies, are the best in town. Keep up the good work. More
The service is reliably poor. I am making this posting, because I have a severe dairy allergy and my request for a dairy free beverage resulted in angry and frustrated staff. I waited a very long time, as they forgot to give me my beverage. Overall, I feel I will not be returning.
Mixed up my sizes for the two drinks.. had little to no milk in an americano with 2 milk that I ordered. Gave me the wrong bagel. There is only types of bagel. How is it possible to mix up the two. Ordered on October 1 2020 @ around 10:50am. Have more attentive employees.
It is a convenient location for the university students. The place is spacious and there are a few outlets around the room to plug your laptop. Try to look under the benches. Other pluses: you can order frozen yogurt and the art of the store depicts the neighbourhood.
Slowest cafe EVER. the place was nice and the people were nice too, but the service was jus terrible, i mean if you wanna wait forever for your drink (which will be missing pieces), that's a nice place to be. really want a Starbucks to replace it. comeon Starbucks.
Nice airy space for work/study. Close to the campus so there's always some students studying there. It's a Second Cup, so the food and drinks are pretty much the same everywhere. They've got pinkberry now so that's a plus on Second Cup in general.
Asked for two extra shots in my Carmel Corretto ended up with flavour shots....when I ask for two extra shots I mean espresso. I guess I should have clarified that at a coffee shop. Went back they made another one. I clarified four shots of
The place has great potential, there's lots of natural light. However, as a former employee at another Second Cup location, their brewed coffees and Americanos are weaker in taste (and caffeine content). Paradiso should not taste like water.
Pinkberry yogurt is not available here this year and it was on and off previous year. They have a sign inside saying "not available" and yet they have advertising outside with a nice Pinkberry picture, what a joke... If you are a franchise
Terrible spot if you want to just grab a coffee. It would help if the baristas spoke English or understood what the orders meant, surely it would lessen the queues of people waiting for a coffee..even on a Sunday. I ordered a hot chocolate
This is a nice Second Cup location with an excellent light meal facility. The also have Pinkberry frozen yogurt onsite. There is ample seating for working on laptops. It is a cozy student hangout with free Wi-Fi and is reasonably quiet for
Don't bother going here - the staff lie and fraudulently advertise their products. The Pinkberry signs clearly state that the frozen yogurt comes with an unlimited number of toppings, as long as they fit in the cup. The unpleasant cashier
Seem warm and friendly to other customers but oddly enough the person who's there in the morning barely even bothers to look at me. Not a fan of differential treatment and I have some ideas as to why it's happening but I can only be left
I come to this location frequently with my 2.5 year old who loves their pink berry ice cream. I don’t buy it for her often as she eats only a couple spoonfuls. Tonight we came in and she wanted ice cream but I knew she would only eat a
Situated in a good location in downtown Toronto. Over the past years, I observed that their prices were getting more expensive. After the pandemic, the options on the menu are not the same as before. Certain options shrunk in size and
always understaffed with long waits. They must have a human resource management issue because their staff is overwhelmed. They are underserving their customers and losing customers because of their staff mismanagement and understaffing
Spotted a mouse inside tonight (Oct 2). I informed the staff. The staff already knew and said they're "still waiting for pest control to arrive". Please tell me, what responsible restaurant owner would keep their doors open in this
My favorite coffee place in this city. They are so sweet here! So nice and kind. The coffee is the best. I come everyday. Fave place! And they always give my puppy a puppy cup! So sweet! And they are super friendly to kids! More
One of the nicest Second Cup outlets. Spacious, refreshing, relaxing .... Great service and the cakes are great. The outdoor sitting in the summer is an added advantage. They also have Pinkberry Yogurt as an ice cream options.
The guy who attended me was nice and considerate. He pointed out that the bananas were still green and asked if I still wanted smoothies. He was fast, It took him about 5~ minutes to complete the 3 drinks on his own. More
I used to love this location, the previous guy who worked in the morning was so friendly and efficient but he moved locations. Lucky them! The girls in the morning are nice, but the guy in mornings now is rude and lazy.
I hauled a soy latte to go, pretty yummy but a little too sweet and fake kinda tasting. The beans aren't the best sourced but it's enough to get the job done for an office commute. Support local businesses!
I don't understand the mixes reviews. I went there countless times and there was nothing with anything. The staff is always friendly and they never ran out of soymilk as it happened to me elsewhere. More
I love the space here! Beautiful interior. Quality of coffee at this location, though, is mercurial. Sometimes it’s absolutely wonderful, sometimes the coffee tastes stale and over-roasted. One thing I
Great lattes and banana loaf. Kenny (the barista) recommended the maple latte, he made it so pretty n it was great, the rest of the staff is friendly and welcoming which adds to a relaxing atmosphere.
The location is great and very comfy! However it is not ideal for studying, the wifi is very poor and slow. Can’t do any zoom meetings, watching videos or lectures is slow. Wi-Fi needs to be better!
This café is excellent to stay out of my house. I come here often for coffee or a apply cider. It has plenty of power outlet to charge and it makes me feel peaceful in my hustle and bustle life.
They still have those plexiglass screens up (they are counter effective, against the cold virus, yes they are,) and they don't accept American Express even though other Second Cups do. More
Nicest second cup in the downtown core. Great staff, was served by LJ and his colleague. Both were courteous and well trained. The ambience/ decor of this second cup is fantastic. More
When I first walked in I waited at the cash for a good 5+ mins for SOMEONE anyone from the back to finish having their conversation! When she walked out it was a pregnant lady.
Second Cup at 1000 Bay St. Toronto. served me a cream cheese bagel where the cream cheese has gone bad. This incident occurred on April 26, 2018 around 2:15pm.
Worst wifi. Price not updated. What display is not what charge Update - As of August 30 , I’ve send email back. Thank You for follow up and appreciate
Great place to have a healthy break during the day. It has a refreshing vibe with great structure on the inside and the outside part of it. More
I love this Second Cup - it's new, clean and very well-lit. Perfect for study, chit-chat or just reading. Plus, nice friendly staff!
Great place workers are very pleasant, some customers little rude with indirect comments like Moose jaw in the white shirt …
I can't believe I've given this branch three chances, just trying to be fair, and here's what I've experienced:
I enjoyed their frozen yogurt many times but they have barely served me that with the correct instructions…
This is a nice place to sit around and pretend to do work
